when I go out verse 7 the Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against me will be defeated before me they will come at me from One Direction but flee from me in seven dear child of God there is power there is life there is Victory when you declare God's promises over your life and finally I will want you to claim this verse in the Book of Luke and it's one of those passages in Scripture that gives us Authority as children of God it's one of those verses that Empower us and can cause

you to straighten up your back and raise your head because of the authority you're given by Jesus Christ Luke 10: 19 says I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy nothing will harm you once again I encourage you to really own this verse and apply it to yourself I have been given the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy nothing will harm me one passage of scripture that I'd like to highlight is revelation 5:5 it

reads then one of the elders said to me do not weep see the lion of the tribe of Judah the root of David has triumphed he is able to open the scroll and its Seven Seals I believe that this verse in Revelation is a word that we all need to hold on to and we need to receive this word because I believe that when it says do not weep the Bible is telling us to stop worrying cease your Sorrowing don't be cast down and do not be in despair the lion of the tribe of Judah

has prevailed in other words he has overcome he's come out on top he has triumphed he has conquered and this is what we need to receive and understand Jesus Christ The Lion of the tribe of Judah the root of David has prevailed he has mastered all things he has won all battles he is in command and he is Victorious and he will he will reign forever and ever and so Saints when we think of protection we ought to know who protects us we ought to be aware of the might and the power that the Lord

has it's in Jesus Christ that we have our protection now let us pray Lord Jesus my God Almighty the one who is from Everlasting to Everlasting be praised pred be glorified and lifted High you are he who opens doors that no man can shut and you can close doors that no man can open I bow down and ask that you look upon me with Mercy together with everyone under the sound of my voice we acknowledge that we are not on the same level as you you are Divine you are righteous and you are true your

ways oh God are higher your thoughts are higher you neither sleep nor Slumber God we bow down to you Jesus help us Holy Spirit and remove the scales from our eyes so that we can truly see how desperately we need Jesus Christ in our everyday lives we as people are limited we are limited in strength we're Limited in power and we're limited by nature and time but the Lord you are Limitless Lord Jesus you are worthy of Praise because you are Limitless in all your ways you are not bound by time you are not Bound

By Nature you are God and God alone you speak and it is done you speak and it is truth because you are not a man who should lie because of this I yield to you I yield to your Holy Spirit I Surrender and say that my life is yours it's in your hands I bow down and submit to your word may I be a person who is obedient and attentive to God's word may I be a person who lives a life that's principled by Your Word Lord Jesus May the Holy Spirit give me the discipline

to meditate on the word of God day and night I pray that the worship that comes forth from my heart may be to say holy holy holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come I choose not to place my faith in man my faith is not in the government or any ruling authorities my faith is not in anything that I can see in the world around me but I confess that my faith is in the living Son of God God Jesus Christ my faith is in the one who spoke

the words I am the way and the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me Lord as your child I choose to believe in only who and what you say I am I will trust only in the Assurance of your word because it is life to those who believe it's in your Endless Love that I have my faith anchored you loved me before I even knew you you first loved me Lord while I was still in my mother's womb your word says in 1 John 4:9 and 10 this is how

put into action and made effective by God it is dynamic and can have tremendous power allow me to highlight a few words that jump out to me concerning prayer from this passage of scripture firstly my prayers ought to be heartfelt they need to come from a deep place within me that longs for the Lord and secondly my prayers need to be persistent they should be frequent I should pray without ceasing not just a prayer here and there but there has to be a level of consistency when it comes to my prayer life and finally the

Bible says the prayer of a righteous person has great power this means I need to be practicing righteousness I need Jesus Christ to help me me I need the Holy Spirit to strengthen me and guide me so that I may live according to the Lord's will so from James 5: 16 there are three things we need to take away concerning our prayer lives the first being that your prayers should be heartfelt the second your prayers should be persistent and the third is that you need to be driving to Chase and pursue the righteousness of God

and so I would like to encourage you from the book of Nehemiah in chapter 8 the latter part of verse 10 says do not sorrow for the joy of the Lord is your strength we can stand strong because of the great joy that we have in Jesus Christ we can be at peace knowing that no matter the outcome of of our situation we have eternal hope in Jesus Christ we have great assurance that even when things seem uncertain the Lord is always looking out for our best interest so when we seek to pray with power

do it joyfully because the joy of the Lord is your strength now another important element to prayer is is waiting on the Lord once you pray your answer does not always come immediately there will be times where you and I will have to wait for the Lord to act in Isaiah chapter 40:31 the Bible says but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength they shall Mount up with wings like eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint all throughout the Bible we see these promises promises that

God will give us strength in our time of need promises that our heartfelt and persistent prayers will be heard by the Lord promises that we should not sorrow because through the joy of the Lord we have strength over and over again again we are reminded that no matter what we Face there is hope we are heard by the Lord we should not rely on ourselves for strength but instead we should understand that our strength comes from Jesus our strength to live righteously comes from the Lord our strength to pray persistently comes from the lord it's

not about our ability to fight or persevere it's all about Jesus Christ now let us pray Heavenly Father your mercies are new every morning and your faithfulness towards us is unmatched thank you for the many blessings over our lives I am so grateful for the assurance that you are a living God a God who cares for me a God who considers me and loves me we thank you for the blessing of peace in our minds the blessing of joy unspeakable in our hearts Lord we pray that you would guide and direct our steps your word

in Proverbs 3:6 says in all your ways acknowledge Him and He Shall direct your paths Holy Spirit help me to acknowledge the Lord in all of my ways so that he can direct my paths I pray that the Holy Spirit would remind me that the joy of the Lord is my strength and I am no longer a slave to fear but I am a child of God and as such I can claim victory over any trial and over every Temptation God guide me in my decision making Lord and help me to make the right choices

that are pleasing to you in each and every area of my life Lord I Look to You for provision when I am in need and I declare your word in Psalm 37:25 which says I have been young and now I'm old yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor his descendants begging bread I claim This Promise over every need in my life today Lord and I trust that you will not forsake me as I seek peace Direction and all other good gifts that come from you Lord as your children we agree and stand on

your promises your promises that tell us that surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and while I do not know what lies ahead while I don't know what tomorrow holds I am thankful that I know the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob I'm grateful that I know you Lord the one who holds the future in his hands and I can be confident to say it is well with me because I have you to guide me and to Lead Me me and so I pray that you would never allow me

to deviate from your will I pray that I would never become someone who walks in Disobedience I thank you Lord and together with everyone listening we draw strength from the joy of the Lord Lord Jesus I lift up my hands as a sign of surrender have your way and may your will be done I lift up my hands to signal that I am letting go of trying to control things I lift up my hands to signal that I am relying on your Amazing Grace and on your love I accept that your will is better than

mine your ways are higher than mine your timing is better than mine father instead of fighting the battle in front of me I will focus on you the one who holds all power rather than relying on my own might I will rely on your strength Lord Jesus I will place my faith in you I pray pray that my hands would always be lifted in worship to you and regardless of whether I am in Chains like Paul and Silas may you be praised Lord whether or not disaster strikes may you be praised Lord Jesus if I

am tired and weary I pray that you would give me strength through the Holy Spirit to praise and to worship you even if the enemy attacks may I be protected by the fact that my hands will constantly be lifted up in worship to you Lord father let my first instinct be to hand over every situation to you I pray that my first instinct would be to drop my carnal weapons and instead worship you in spirit and in truth I choose to trust in an Ever faithful God and I acknowledge that even when things don't go

my way you are still Sovereign and you are still a good God I pray that you may see my lifted hands as a sign of a heart that is filled with gratitude and Thanksgiving I pray that you would see my hands lifted as an invitation for you to come into my circumstances and have your way I invite your presence Lord to come and dwell within me may you come in and do as you please in any given circumstance I choose to let go and let you handle things father your word in Psalm chap 29 says

ascribe to the Lord O Heavenly beings ascribe to the Lord glory and strength ascribe to the Lord the glory tow his name Worship the Lord in the Splendor of Holiness your word says says the voice of the Lord is powerful the voice of the Lord is full of majesty you Lord Jesus sit enthroned as king forever I pray that the Holy Spirit would help me never to take my eyes off you father don't allow me to waver in fear even for a second in the face of adversity I pray that you would strengthen me to

keep my hands lifted high and to always be found in worship father you deserve all the praise and honor you deserve all adoration even the angels in heaven always sing and worship you saying holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come worthy are you our Lord and God to receive glory and honor and power for you created all things and by your will they existed and were created I praise you I honor you I Lift Your Name on High and say you are are worthy to be praised in the

mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray thank you for listening to my prayer amen we all have people in our Lives who encourage us and Inspire us every time we see them we are filled with with joy and hope but as amazing as those people are they may not always be there in our moment of crisis when we go out on our own and Satan starts praying on our fears and insecurities that's the real test because sometimes when depression or anxiety hits you don't have a pastor to preach that heart stirring sermon sometimes s you

don't have a choir to sing that uplifting song in those moments you have to encourage yourself tell yourself the word of God may I remind you that the Bible says in Luke 10 verse 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy nothing will harm you may I remind you that 1 Corinthians 15:57 says but thanks be to God who gives us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus Christ I encourage you people of God to hold on to the word of God

hold on to these promises and let them stir up your spirit no longer should you be fearful and timid no longer should you consider yourself helpless and Powerless Jesus Christ has given us Authority the authority to trample on the devil and his demons he has given us the authority to overcome all power of the enemy and so I simply want you to know that it's not your portion to be fearful as a child of God it's not your portion to be a timid Christian we gain strength courage and boldness when we know the word of

God and practice prayer and so when you think of prayer think of power think of it as a means for strength and courage because as children of God when we pray that's when we are empowered that's when we are revitalized more prayer more power if you want more power pray more this is exactly what the Bible tells us to pray without ceasing this is why the Bible tells us to watch and pray lest you enter into temptation or to continue steadfastly in prayer this is all because there is power there is power when you pray

prayer binds us with God prayer empowers us to overcome temptation it builds character in one's life and so if you desire to live a life that is full of courage and boldness get to know the word of God and once you know the word of the Lord pray be constant in prayer continue steadfastly in prayer devote yourself to prayer and remember that we have authority in Jesus Christ now I would like to share a very special Psalm that I hold dear to me it's a Psalm that has encouraged me to pray when I have felt

low and it's a Psalm that I have prayed when I simply did not know what to say and so Psalm 86 verse 1-1 17 says Hear Me Lord and answer me for I am poor and needy guard my life for I am faithful to you save your servant who trusts in you you are my God have mercy on me Lord for I call to you all day long bring joy to your servant Lord for I put my trust in You You Lord are forgiving and good abounding in love to all who call to you hear

my prayer Lord listen to My Cry for Mercy when I am in distress I call to you because you answer me among the gods there is none like you Lord no Deeds can compare with yours all the nations you have made will come and worship before you Lord they will bring glory to your name for you are great and you do marvelous Deeds you alone are God teach me your way Lord that I may rely on your faithfulness give me an undivided heart that I may fear your name I will praise you Lord my God

with all my heart I will glorify your name forever for Great Is Your Love toward me you have delivered me from the depths from the realm of the Dead arrogant foes are attacking me oh God Ruthless People are trying to kill me they have no regard for you but you Lord are a compassionate and gracious God slow to anger abounding in love and [Music] faithfulness turn to me and have mercy on me show your strength in behalf of your servant save me because I serve you just as my mother did give me a sign of

your goodness that my enemies may see it and be put to shame for you Lord have helped me and comforted me now let us pray King Jesus give us hearts that desire to pray your word in Psalm 141: 2 says let my prayer be set before you as incense the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice Lord I pray that our prayers will be as sweet incense rising to heaven we desperately need you King Jesus as we seek you in prayer and in your word may you reveal yourself to us in a deeper

way you are the God who goes ahead of us on a daily basis preparing the way for us to walk in peace and victory you Lord are our rescuer you are our deliverer what may be too strong for us is not too strong for you my lord what may be too difficult for us is no match for you my God what might trouble us will be no trouble to you and so we look to you I thank you for your grace and mercy I thank you for making me Victorious in your name indeed Victory belongs

to you Lord Jesus and I pray and declare Deuteronomy 28:7 and say the Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways I pray and declare Luke 10: 19 and say I have been given authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy and nothing will harm me in jesus' name I pray I bless you Lord for the power that is in your word I take Confidence from your word

because it tells me that you are a God who will fight for me at your command are a host of angels that can come and defend me in the middle of my battles I know that I am not alone and because I know that you are with me and so I will neither be shaken nor fearful I will not be afraid because my God Emmanuel is with me I am never alone in any battle because you are with me father I Look to You and I thank you Lord Jesus for you are greater than anything

I could face you are greater you are bigger you are mightier than any Goliath than any Red Sea you King Jesus are bigger than any problem any storm or situation and I am so truly grateful that you are on my side you are my pillar of support and you are my Chief Cornerstone I invite the spirit of the Lord to always be within me May the Holy Spirit fill me with bold fire and conviction so that I would not be intimidated by the enemy and his forces but instead I Will Rejoice that God God's strength

is made perfect in my weakness father I ask you would fill me with boldness and courage so that in the middle of any battle I can stand and Believe on your word so that I can stand on your promise that tells me in 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind I thankk you Lord and I confess that I have a sound mind I confess that I live with and I am accustomed to the power of God operating in my

life and above all I thank you for the richness of Your Love a perfect love that drives out all fear may you take all the glory and all the praise for each and every single one of my victories thank you for hearing my prayer in jesus' name I pray amen I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy nothing will harm you the Lord is good a stronghold in the day of trouble he knows those who trust in him those are the words in nahem

1:7 it's interesting that the Bible points out that God knows those that trust in him trust in other words can be translated to mean Faith or belief or confidence so God already knows those who genuinely trust him those who genuinely have faith in him so that begs the question does God know you to be one of those mentioned here in the Bible to trust in him does he know you to have faith in him this is an important question because you and I don't know what's in store for us in this new year we have

no idea what next month will look for our lives we don't know what 6 months from now will look like now I believe from this perspective perspective of not knowing what the future holds we have three choices the first choice is to be fearful about an unknown future this is where you'll find someone worried or filled with anxiety about what might happen in the future they're worried about what could happen in 6 months time and what might happen after that the second choice is to just live your life in a recklessly Carefree manner taking no

thought about the future no thought about eternity no thought about spiritual warfare this is a state that the Bible refers to as having a lack of knowledge and the third choice is to trust in Jesus it's to say I may not know what the next month looks like but I'm not fearful about it because I have you Lord Jesus I may not know what the future holds for me in 6 months time but as long as I have your word your word that builds my faith and trust in you then come what may I will

face it with Jesus Christ by my side so we have these three distinct choices to be fearful to be recklessly carefree or to be mindful of nahem 1:7 the Lord is good a stronghold in the day of trouble he knows those that trust in him so I encourage you to pick the third choice you do not know what the year holds but despite having an unknown future you take a stand and say when the day of trouble comes to visit me I I have a stronghold in the Lord because he knows that I trust him

I trust him to know when things are good and I will trust him when things are not so good if the devil is planning on attacking me this year then I am trusting in the Lord to be my Defender if I should face any sickness or illness then I am trusting Jesus Christ to be my healer if I should face any Temptation that I am Trust trusting God to be my deliverer regardless of what I might face I am trusting God to be all that I want and need now let us pray Lord Jesus I

place my trust in you I put my faith in you a God who was undefeated you have never lost a battle nor can you ever lose Victory begins and ends with you you no matter what path I choose to walk on you are a God who is always many steps ahead you're faithful to always go before me Deuteronomy 31:8 says and the Lord he is the one who goes before you he will be with you he will not leave you nor forsake you do not fear nor be dismayed thank you Lord because I know no

matter what mountain I come up against you have already made a way for me to climb it I trust you and I'm confident that no matter what journey of uncertainty I encounter you Lord Jesus are a way maker you will make a way where there seems to be no way you Lord are faithful and good because you will lay out a path before me you will clear a path for me in situations where the enemy will look to have me surrounded but because of you I will not fall nor will I fail be with me

Jesus you are gracious and merciful throughout this year father I pray that you will uncover breakthroughs and blessings and lay them out in my path for me and my family Lord I don't know what the future holds I don't know the battles I will face this year I don't know where my opposition will come from from or where my trials will take me but I do know that your word in Nahum 1: 7 says that you are good you are a stronghold in the day of trouble I don't know what every obstacle ahead of me

will look like but I do know your word in Isaiah 45:2 says I will go before you and make the Crooked places straight I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron I praise and I worship you I am ever confident in your word and in your will because no matter where we go or what we do we know that you are always ahead of us you fight our battles Lord and the enemy won't ever triumph over us you God make crooked places straight so that by the time we

get there the path is already cleared so our journey can be safe in Jesus's name we pray amen Psalm 18:6 says in my distress I call to the Lord I cried to my God for help from his Temple he heard my voice My Cry came before him into his ears is it not comforting to know that we serve a God who will answer us when we are in distress we serve a God who hears our cries and so dear listener when you go through difficulties in life when you face difficult situations within your family your

health or in any area of your life you may be wondering where is God taking me why is God allowing this to happen to me if you've ever asked any of those questions remember that in your distress you can call on the Lord and I also want to remind you that Romans 8:28 says and we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them I love that the Bible says God causes everything to work together note that this statement is

in the present tense God causes he causes everything to work together this gives me great hope because it means that all things are continually working together for our good as children of God the idea that God can allow certain things to happen in your life in order to test you can be difficult for some people to understand and so what does the Bible say concerning this well James 1 verse 2:3 consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters whenever you face Trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance

this is the reality that we find in scripture our faith must be tested and perhaps Proverbs 17 verse three will give us a better understanding of why the testing of our faith is necessary fire tests the purity of silver and gold but the Lord tests the heart in other words just as silver and gold are purified by fire so the Lord purifies the hearts of men if you want to refine gold you use the furnace and if the heart of man is to be refined the Lord tests the heart meaning that my faith and your

faith must stand trial at one point or another our natural tendency as humans is to think that if something seems unpleasant then it must not be from God but we must realize that God sees things quite differently than we do the trials that God allows in our lives are meant to make us complete so that we lack nothing as believers Trials come for our development as Christians Trials come so that we can build on the current level of faith we have and reach Greater Heights that's why the Bible says the testing of your faith produces

perseverance the testing of our faith leads to spiritual maturity this should change the way we view hardships and how we should respond to those difficult times in our lives the reality is that God is always at work in his children and the ultimate goal is that we become a reflection of Christ we are to be conformed into the image of Christ having our minds renewed and our hearts refined so dear listener if you're going through something right now so long as do you keep your trust in God Almighty he causes everything to work together you

may not see how you may not know when but we can hold to the promise that God causes everything to work together doesn't this just encourage you in your spirit to know that God is presently working in all situations through all situations he's working it all together for good good he's arranging and he's rearranging all things in your life so that it may be well with you so as Believers we ought to be grateful that in every situation it doesn't matter what it is though it may be unpleasant though it may be painful God is

shaping everything for your good he's moving he's aligning he's connecting you with this person and removing you from that person also that things will work out for your good so for someone listening at this moment you may be right in the middle of the toughest situation you've ever faced you may be hurting maybe you've simply given up but let me tell you this the Amplified translation for Romans 8:28 says and we know with great confidence that God who is deeply concerned about us causes all things to work together as a plan for good for those

who love God to those who are called according to his plan and purpose God will cause this hurt your feeling he'll cause it to work out for your good good will come out of your situation regardless of how tough or how painful it is right now God will cause this situation the one that you think may be too much for you he'll cause it to work for your good and so as we prepare to go to God In Prayer let's keep all this in mind let's not let what we see speak louder than what we

know the word says and we know we know with great confidence that God cares about us he's concerned about us and no matter what it looks like now he's working it for our good Lord we thank you we thank you for being good you've been good to us although we have not deserved it we're Beyond grateful for all that you've done for us Lord Jesus you've been so faithful you've kept us you've preserved us you've been faithful to pull us through some of life's toughest and most trying times thank you for your word that tells

us all things will work together all things are working together for our good I pray that everything the devil meant for harm you King Jesus will turn it into good every trap that the enemy has set may it become a stepping stone for us Lord every attack that comes against our families I pray that you would not only block these evil attacks but turn them around for our good we declare that no weapon formed against us as your children will prosper Psalm 37: 3-6 trust in the Lord and do good dwell in the land and

enjoy safe pasture take Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart commit your way to the Lord trust in him and he will do this he will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn your vindication like the Noonday Sun you are not only a merciful god but you are a faithful God faithful to protect us in the day of trouble you're faithful to be our refuge during trying times you're faithful to answer us whenever we call for help and so our faith is in you King Jesus you are

the anchor to our souls you're the one who makes us to lie down in Green Pastures you King Jesus you prepare a table for us in the presence of our enemies meaning that we may have enemies enemies who plot and scheme against us but they will have no power over us in jesus' name the devil and his demons they have no power over us they will not cause damage nor destruction in our homes or in our lives in Jesus name Lord we declare Psalm 91:7 a thousand may follow at your side and 10,000 at your

right hand but it shall not come near you it's because of your goodness that we can hold on to this word although this world may be hostile to us as children of God we succeed because your favor goes before us although this world may persecute us we will rejoice because the joy of the Lord is our strength and so here our prayer Lord may you turn every that is painful in our lives turn it to work out for our good may you turn the bad into blessings the lack into abundance restore unto us everything that

the enemy has stolen God your word in Deuteronomy 30: 2 and 3 says and you return to the Lord your God and obey his voice according to all that I command you today you and your children with all your heart and with all your soul that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you we hold on to this word help us to be obedient to you to be obedient to your voice it's in

Jesus name that we pray amen the Bible says something interesting in 1 Samuel 26:23 it says the Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness the Lord delivered you into my hands today but I would not lay a hand on the Lord's anointed read that carefully the Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and their faithfulness that's a powerful verse and it makes me think how do I stand before the Lord does he look at me and see a faithful heart does he look at me and see a committed Christian when God looks down from heaven

does he see me as a Believer who is striving to live in righteousness now the topic of righteousness is one that I find intriguing we're called to righteousness however we as people are far from righteous so what is it that we need to do if the Lord rewards every man for his righteousness but yet we're born in sin how will we be rewarded well to begin with Saints I believe that when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior Galatians 2:20 can be said of Our Lives because the Bible says my old self has

been crucified with Christ it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me so I live in this Earthly Body by trusting in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me a human being is Born Into sin this is clear because Psalm 51:5 explicitly States behold I was brought forth in iniquity and Inc sended my mother conceive me so I may be born in sin but when I repent and give my life to Jesus Christ I can then say what Galatians 2:20 says my old self has been crucified with

Christ it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me so I live in this Earthly Body by trusting in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me so Christ now lives in me therefore when it comes to us chasing righteousness it comes down to how much much of ourselves have we yielded to Christ do we love the Lord Our God with all our heart soul and mind or do we place him behind Earthly Pleasures material things sinful things that we can't let go of Deuteronomy 6: 24-2 says and

the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes to fear the lord Our God for our good always that he might preserve Us Alive as it is this day then it will be righteousness for us if we are careful to observe all the Commandments before the Lord Our God as he has commanded us Saints it will be righteousness for us if we follow all his statutes his Commandments and to fear Him 1st Samuel 26:23 says the Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness now let us pray dear Lord Jesus you alone Are Holy you

alone are righteous father if we try to live a life that is pleasing to you through our own strength then we will fail we need your grace Lord we need your mercy but as the Bible says I have been crucified with Christ it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me as you live within me Lord you can displace all evil from within me remove everything that is ungodly remove everything that is corrupt remove everything that is unclean Lord purify and cleanse us master your word in Romans 6: 17-8 but thanks

enable us to walk in the way of righteousness that leads to life not to death you are a God who takes pleasure in those who pursue righteousness may you find us to be such a people Lord go before us order our steps God so that I may not walk in unrighteousness your word in Psalm 1 veres 1-2 it says blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands in the path of Sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful but his Delight is in the law of the Lord

and in his law he meditates day and night guide us King Jesus so that we would not be found walking in the counsel of those who are sinful and wicked give us hearts that Delight in your word it's in you Jesus that we seek strength it's in you Lord that we can overcome sin you're a God who never disappoints the one who gives me peace of mind Direction and true leadership so King Jesus we bow down to you we Bow Down to your Authority Psalm 23:3 says he restores my soul he leads me in the

paths of righteousness for his name's sake we have faith in you Lord because unlike the people on this Earth unlike the ways of this Earth You will never lead us astray you will never lead us to destruction it's only you King Jesus that can lead us through the valley of the shadow of death and still offer us peace it's you who can lead us through the darkest valleys and still offer us joy May the fear of the Lord rest upon us as we pursue righteousness in this life the Bible says in Proverbs 9:10 the fear

need to guard our minds and our hearts we are bombarded with all kinds of influences all kinds of temptations there are all kinds of evil forces vying for our attention vying for an opportunity to enter our lives and wreak havoc we need to guard our hearts our minds eyes and ears because these are all gateways there are gateways into our lives I believe we need the Holy Spirit now more so than ever with the help of the Holy Spirit we can have discernment we can identify that this is something deceptive with the help of the

Holy Spirit we can discern if something appears to be of God but it really is glorifying other things other things that aren't of God Like This World Pride and pleasure we need guidance from the Holy Spirit on how to navigate this life while protecting our faith our joy our mind State even I say this because we have to be honest and we have to be real everything on television isn't good for your soul everything you listen to isn't edifying you everyone you come across is not good for you the deception of the devil is that

he wants to lure us into a false sense of security he wants you to see something that is evil but believe that it is harmless entertainment the devil wants you to see something that will plant seeds of lust but he'll want you to compromise and say that's just a movie that's not real well it may be just a movie but it certainly plants seeds in your mind the Battleground is the mind and so we need to be diligent when it comes to what goes on between our ears the bottom line is regardless of how bad

or messed up you think your situation is you are not forsaken first John 4:4 says Little Children You are from God and have overcome them for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world Saints the one who is in you the one who's in your heart the one who has called Jesus Christ he is powerful he's more powerful than the one who is in the world now if you really knew this if you really believed this if you are convicted that Jesus Christ your lord and savior is greater than

he who is in the world if you believed this then you would be confident in every batt battle you would be confident even when you're under attack 2 Corinthians 10: 3 through6 for though we walk in the flesh we do not war according to the flesh for the weapons of our Warfare are not carnal But Mighty in God for pulling down strongholds casting down arguments and every High thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God bringing every thought into captivity to The Obedience of Christ and being ready to punish all Disobedience when your obedience

is fulfilled verse 5 says bringing every thought into captivity to The Obedience of Christ this means every thought in your life should be restrained it should be bound under the rulership of Jesus Christ the Bible says in Proverbs 23:7 for as he thinks in his heart so is he eat and drink he says to you but his heart is not with you as you think in your heart so are you a lot of people are victims of their own thoughts they are victims of their own thought patterns and sometimes it's not that God won't work

in our lives or it's not that he won't move or break down doors in our lives but rather it's the fact that we lack faith when you lack faith and allow doubt to fester in your mind and in your heart this in turn creates these negative and often destructive ways of thinking now the Bible in Colossians 3:2 says set your mind on things above not on things on the Earth I find it compelling that the Bible says set your mind we're being told to put our minds in a place where we dwell on Heavenly things

we're being told to position our minds to dwell on Heavenly things set your mind on things above doing this establishes a Godly pattern of thinking so ask yourself why do I think the way I do do my thoughts line up with the word of God do you pay attention to what you're thinking do you pay attention to the kind of thoughts that you dwell on the things that influence your thinking I'd like to encourage you to take your thought life very seriously now let's pray Lord Jesus we come to you now giving you honor and

glory and praise God you're worthy of all our praise you're worthy of our adoration you're worthy of all glory god and father as we come to you today we come reflecting on your word Lord your word tells me that I should bring every thought into captivity to The Obedience of Christ Lord Jesus I pray that you would help in this aspect of my life help me to guard my thought life every s sin ful thought Lord help me to bring it into captivity for every impure thought for every selfish thought Lord I pray that you

would help me to restrain these thoughts and cast them down May the Holy Spirit help me to set my mind on things above many times Lord my natural eyes will only see the mountain or the Giants of impossibilities all around me but I pray that you would open my spiritual eyes open my spiritual eyes so that I can see the angels that encamp around me so that I can see the favor and Grace that you've placed over my life I pray that the Holy Spirit would fill me with boldness and courage remind me that I

am no longer a slave to fear but I am a child of God and I've not been given a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind help us to realize Lord Jesus that a true righteous way of living is what you describe in Matthew 16: 24-2 your word says then Jesus told his disciples if anyone would come after me let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me for whoever would say this life will lose it but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it Lord Jesus

you call us to deny ourselves and set aside selfish interest you call us to take up our cross meaning we need to express a willingness to endure whatever may come for your sake God give us hearts and Minds that are committed to following you give us us hearts and Minds that seek to exalt your name always Lord give us a spirit of humility where we say more of you and less of me God give us a spirit that desires to be used by you Lord Jesus but only if it brings you the glory only if

it brings you the praise Lord Jesus in agreement with everyone listening we Praise You Lord we adore you and we worship you because you Lord were the one who was hurt you were the one who suffered because of our sins you were wounded for our wrongdoing Jesus you endured incredible pain for us and the blood that you shed was for our healing that blood that you shed is for our healing right now Lord I thank you for the blood I thank you for the blood that you shed King Jesus so that we could be protected

that gives us Authority as children of God it's one of those verses that Empower us and can cause you to straighten up your back and raise your head because of the authority you're given by Jesus Christ Luke 10: 19 says I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy nothing will harm you once again I encourage you to really own this verse and apply it to yourself I have been given the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of

the enemy nothing will harm me one passage of scripture that I'd like to highlight is revelation 5:5 it reads then one of the elders said to me do not weep see the lion of the tribe of Judah the root of David has triumphed he is able to open the scroll and its Seven Seals I believe that this verse in Revelation is a word that we all need to hold on to and we need to rece receive this word because I believe that when it says do not weep the Bible is telling us to stop worrying

cease your Sorrowing don't be cast down and do not be in despair the lion of the tribe of Judah has prevailed in other words he has overcome he's come out on top he has triumphed he has conquered and this is what we need to receive and understand Jesus Christ The Lion of the tribe of Judah the root of David has prevailed he has mastered all things he has won all battles he is in command and he is Victorious and he will he will reign forever and ever and so Saints when we think of protection we

ought to know who protects us we ought to be aware of the might and the power that the Lord has it's in Jesus Christ that we have our protection now let us pray Lord Jesus my God Almighty the one who is from Everlasting to Everlasting be praised be glorified and lifted High you are he who opens doors that no man can shut and you can close doors that no man can open I bow down and ask that you look upon me with Mercy together with everyone under the sound of my voice we acknowledge that we

the heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man or believer can accomplish much when put into action and made effective by God it is dynamic and can have tremendous power allow me to highlight a few words that jump out to me concerning prayer from this passage of scripture firstly my prayers ought to be heartfelt they need to come from a deep place within me that longs for the Lord and secondly my prayers need to be persistent they should be frequent I should pray without ceasing not just a prayer here and there but there has to

be a level of consistency when it comes to my prayer life and finally the Bible says the prayer of a righteous person has great power this means I need to be practicing righteousness I need Jesus Christ to help me I need the Holy Spirit to strengthen me and guide me so that I may live according to the Lord's will so from James 5: 16 there are three things we need to take away concerning our prayer lives the first being that your prayers should be heartfelt the second your prayers should be persistent and the third is

that you need to be striving to Chase and pursue the righteousness of God and so I would like to encourage you from the book of Nehemiah in chapter 8 the latter part of verse 10 says do not sorrow for the joy of the Lord is your strength we can stand strong because of the great joy that we have in Jesus Christ we can be at peace knowing that no matter the outcome of our situation we have eternal hope in Jesus Christ we have great assurance that even when things seem uncertain the Lord is always looking

out for our best interest so when we seek to pray with power do it joyfully because the joy of the Lord is your strength now another important element to prayer is waiting on the the Lord once you pray your answer does not always come immediately there will be times where you and I will have to wait for the Lord to act in Isaiah 40:31 the Bible says but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength they shall Mount up with wings like eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and

not faint all throughout the Bible we see these promises promises that God will give us strength in our time of need promises that our heartfelt and persistent prayers will be heard by the Lord promises that we should not sorrow because through the joy of the Lord we have strength over and over again we are reminded that no matter what we Face there is hope we are heard by the Lord we should not rely on ourselves for strength but instead we should understand that our strength comes from Jesus our strength to live righteously comes from the

Lord our strength to pray persistently comes from the lord it's not about our ability to fight or persevere it's all about Jesus Christ now let us pray Heavenly Father your mercies are new every morning and your faithfulness towards us is unmatched thank you for the many blessings over our lives I am so grateful for the assurance that you are a living God a God who cares for me a God who considers me and loves me we thank you for the blessing of peace in our minds the blessing of joy unspeakable in our hearts Lord we

pray that you would guide and direct our steps your word in Proverbs 3:6 says in all your ways acknowledge Him and He Shall direct your paths Holy Spirit help me to acknowledge the Lord in all of my ways so that he can direct my paths I pray that the Holy Spirit would remind me that the joy of the Lord is my strength and I am no longer a slave to fear but I am a child of God and as such I can claim victory over any trial and over every Temptation guide me in my decision

making Lord and help me to make the right choices that are pleasing to you in each and every area of my life Lord I Look to You for provision when I am in need and I declare your word in Psalm 37:25 which says I have been young and now am old yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor his descendants begging bread I claim This Promise over every need in my life today Lord and I trust that you will not forsake me as I seek peace Direction and all of good gifts that come from

you Lord as your children we agree and stand on your promises your promises that tell us that surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and while I do not know what lies ahead while I don't know what tomorrow holds I am thankful that I know the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob I'm grateful that I know you Lord the one who holds the future in his hands and I can be confident to say it is well with me because I have you to guide me and to Lead Me and

strikes may you be praised Lord Jesus if I am tired and weary I pray that you would give me strength through the Holy Spirit Spirit to praise and to worship you even if the enemy attacks may I be protected by the fact that my hands will constantly be lifted up in worship to you Lord father let my first instinct be to hand over every situation to you I pray that my first instinct would be to drop my C carnal weapons and instead worship you in spirit and in truth I choose to trust in an Ever

faithful God and I acknowledge that even when things don't go my way you are still Sovereign and you are still a good God I pray that you may see my lifted hands as a sign of a heart that is filled with gratitude and Thanksgiving I pray that you would see my hands lifted as an invitation for you to come into my circumstances and have your way I invite your presence Lord to come and dwell within me may you come in and do as you please in any given circumstance I choose to let go and let

you handle things father your word in Psalm chap 29 says ascribe to the Lord O Heavenly beings ascribe to the Lord glory and strength ascribe to the Lord the glory to his name Worship the Lord in the Splendor of Holiness your word says the the voice of the Lord is powerful the voice of the Lord is full of majesty you Lord Jesus sit enthroned as king forever I pray that the Holy Spirit would help me never to take my eyes off you father don't allow me to waver in fear even for a second in the

face of adversity I pray that you would strengthen me to keep my hands lifted high and to always be found in worship father you deserve all the praise and honor you deserve all adoration even the angels in heaven always sing and worship you saying holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come worthy are you our Lord and God to receive glory and honor and power for you created all things and by your will they existed and were created I praise you I honor you I Lift Your Name on High
