most of the people waste around 7 hours every single day and then they cry about not having enough time I mean that's over 5 months of a year wasted in which that we are awake we all have 24 hours but if used well these are more than enough I don't want to be ladies and gentlemen welcome to the ultimate Noble guide on mastering your time over the next 8 minutes of this video we'll discuss everything from how to get more number of things done in the least amount of time how to overcome procrastination how to
effectively plan your day so that you can get your time for studies gym hobbies and also for the side hles that you have this one video has a lot of power and information to change a lot of people's life but the real question is will you be one of them I to see the I to see let's start with the first one most of the people waste a lot of time because they don't even know what to do with the time that they have I mean just look at me back before a couple of years
when I was in college during my first year I was barely even able to manage my studies and fast forward a couple of years I was not only scoring much better in the exams but I also became the h resident at I I was growing a couple of YouTube channels in my free time I was regular at the gym my agency was active and I was also preparing for the placements all at the same time now being very honest managing all these things together is a complete mind but guess what you can do that too
there's something called as anterior mid single cotic in our brain which is more like a mental muzzle for hard tasks and every time you push yourself to do something difficult it grows stronger making the the future challenges more and more easier to do so the key for your growth here is to keep adding more and more difficult tasks throughout the day one after one for example week one start with something small go out for a run every single day week two add something else start working for 1 hour straight right after you wake up and
then week three add one more difficult task in your day now week after week you're training yourself to do more and more difficult tasks and after a couple of months you'll get so good at this that every single difficult task that you have seems like a cake walk for you now moving on to the next one this is very very important start setting input goals instead of output goals for example let's say my goal is to hit 1 million subscribers in the next 6 months now this is a very very very bad way to set
your goals because it's output it's not even in my control so instead I'll set a goal like I need to upload one great long form video plus four YouTube shots every single week now this input is completely under my control and I'll only have to chase this throughout the week now this approach actually solves two problems first one it gives you the clarity of the task that you need to do so you'll waste much lesser time thinking about what to do and how to do secondly it also solves the emotional problems of getting too attached
to your goals so now let me ask you the question what are your goals for the next 6 months of your [Music] life I'm [Applause] stuck Now setting the input goals and training your brain to do more and more difficult task it's just 30% of the problem problem now let's talk about the bigger sharks because I've seen a lot of talented smart and intelligent people who have like a lot of potential even some of you who are watching this video who have like a lot of potential but are still living a mediocre life and this
is majorly because of Three core problems prioritizing the task procrastination and distractions Imagine One Fine Day you woke up at 8:00 a.m. in the morning you're feeling so motivated you're ready to crush the entire day but the moment that you looked at your to-do list half of your motivation just fell down because there's a huge big list of 10 things to do so what would you do where would you start from how would you make sure that the first task that you're doing w't drain up all of your energy that you'll end up leaving everything
else from that list don't worry because Here Comes one of the most famous time management techniques ever existed in the world and it's called the Isen over Matrix the technique which allows you to prioritize the tasks based upon their urgency and importance now in this method we categorize all the tasks that you have into four different buckets the first one task that are important and also urgent these are the tasks that you should start doing immediately for example preparing for an exam or submitting an assignments so these are the task that everyone needs to do
and everyone should do the second one tasks which are important but not so urgent these are the tasks that you should schedule for later but remember you should never skip them because these are definitely important just that they are not so urgent most of the times these are the tasks which will make sure that you'll grow in the long term and this is what separates a normal person average person from the Achievers for example learning a new skill or maybe clearing the backlogs of the previous chapters the third one tasks which are urgent but not
so important now these are the tasks which are to be dedicated or sometimes even avoided let's say that you have an exam coming up tomorrow and you are sitting here and cleaning your room just because you felt like oh without living my room I w't be able to study properly that's stupid as and then the quadrant number four tasks which are neither urgent nor important yo scrolling on your phone stop doing this immediately so the next time you have like a big list of 10 things 20 things 30 things to do you know what to
do [Music] right but again this is not the entire Solutions because we have two more big problems to solve and one of those biggest problems when it comes to time management is procrastination I mean we know what to do we know how important it is but we just won't do it so how do we tackle this problem simple I've already made a long video about procrastination on the quantum project Channel but here's what you exactly need to know the there are different types of procrastination and there are different solutions to each of them but here
are the two simple ways which can solve almost all of these problems the first one is to just time lock each and every task that you're going to do in a day so when the clock hits the time you'll get a small push to start doing the task immediate for example these days you can see that I've been very consistent on my YouTube I'm uploading like four to five shots every single week plus three to four amazing videos like this every single month and this is because I got much more serious with my deadlines I
started managing my entire YouTube schedule on the udoo project management and if you look at my dashboard you'll see the Canan view with all the ideas dump on the left the scripts which are ready in the center along with the deadlines for the ones which I still need to finish I mean everything important is shown like a card now you can also switch to a Gant view to get a bird ey view on who's doing what or just use a simple list view for quick Bader DS now once I script and record a video I
can assign the next Tas to my team and also give them my deadline which is epic because deadlines are epic and I can also track the time spent by the team by asking them to log in ours using the time sheets so that we can work on our efficiency I'll talk more abouto in the next couple of videos because I'm using it in a lot of different ways like managing the video tin cohort sending invoices to the clients and also building portfolio websites for the students and the best part the first app is free to
use for a lifetime with unlimited hosting and support I'll also add the link in the description and I think you should definitely check it out if you're a student so this is the first way to beat the procastination problem by having deadlines and blocking your time and the second way is to use a technique called as the two-minute Ru which is like when you have like a big task and you're procrastinating for like days and days just do a small bit of it by just taking 2 minutes of your time the reason that this works
is because it reduces the resistance while you're trying to do a new task and there's one more amazing technique that I personally use to kill my procrastination problems I'll talk about it in a while but before that I need to ask you this question have you ever come across a book called as eat that frog and the one line summary of that book is that if you have to eat a frog to survive every single day do it the first thing in the morning let me know what you understood from the statement in the comments
below but now let's move on to the next biggest problem the distractions all of Humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly alone in a room how many of you agree to the statement I do because with the raise of social media with the raise of short form content and everything else around it it has become more and more difficult for a normal person to just sit in a room and work without distractions I mean the attention spans of humans have been falling drastically over the past couple of decades so what's the solution for
it how do we not get distracted while we are sitting and working on something which is important well there are two approaches here the first one is to cut down the external distractions which technically means that either study or work during a time when there won't be a lot of people around you to disturb also make sure to put your phone in a place which is not so easily accessible for you but now the next biggest problem is to cut down the internal distractions but how do we do it these are the distractions which come
due to ourselves and one of the easiest ways to solve this problem is to clearly Define your goal and work with the timer while you're actually working initially you might not be able to work for 3 to 4 hours straight so just start with 25 minutes then slowly increase it to 35 then 45 then to an hour and then slowly increase it to a place where you're comfortably sitting and working for 2 to 3 hours at least got it I've literally read a lot of productivity books in my life that I can just sit here
and make like an entire series on how to manage your time effectively I let me know if you'd actually be interested in something like that now before we end this video you remember that I was talking about a technique that I personally use to kill my procrastination problem yes it's actually very simple whenever you're finishing the focus session leave a small part of the work unfinished for example instead of finishing 100% of the task stop at 98% this will ensure that you'll feel cble to come back and finish the rest of the task later which
will also help you to keep the momentum alive so this works really works but not all the time so use it carefully so I guess that is it for this video I'll see you again very very very soon bye
