days in space he then Zooms in on a camera in Hokkaido Island which reveals a shocking twist a second ship has been built by Japan turns out the company that got the contract for system integration is a subsidiary of Haden Industries the billionaire had secretly funded a second spaceship to be built in Hokkaido and kept it under WFTS he then invites Ellie to be the person who would travel in the spaceship an offer that she readily accepts in the next scene Ellie travels to Japan and had 's private plane and meets him there they then

teach her all she needs to know about the trip and share the safety precautions despite the tight security on the island the news of a second machine is leaked into the media but no reporters are allowed near the site and the launch day finally arrives the technicians then check Ellie's suit and put a camera on her head so that the whole trip can be recorded the spacecraft has a central circular chamber which is surrounded by large rings these rotate at high speeds which Bend space and time around them in theory when the Rings gain enough

speed a wormhole should open and the central chamber is to be dropped into it Ellie straps herself to her chair and the process is initiated the Rings then begin rotating with astounding speed folding time and space around the spacecraft Allie notices a strange light which she tries recording for the base team but the footage is all static meanwhile the computers and monitoring machines at the base are unable to catch the data from the central chamber but Ellie is determined to go ahead with the mission and tells the base that she is ready for launch following

this the space spacecraft is finally dropped and it passes through a wormhole Ellie describes the whole experience vocally for the camera even though she can't relay the visuals with ground control anymore after a while the ship stops and Ellie sees a distant planet which seems to be Vega suddenly her ship is socked into a series of wormholes before coming to stop at another star system there Ellie notices a planet underneath her ship which houses a large city but before she can observe it in detail the ship is yanked into a much more more violent warmo

while this is happening Ellie's locket starts floating and she leaves her chair to catch it just then the chair breaks off and hits the ceiling causing the lights in the ship to go out Ellie then turns on her flashlight and discovers a Celestial event that is beyond her comprehension before she can analyze what it is she begins floating down and eventually finds herself on what appears to be a beach to her surprise this place looks like it came straight out of a drawing that she had made as a child Ellie pokes at the air around

the spot that she is standing on her fingers meet resistance from an energy barrier meaning this is some kind of a sensory illusion right then a figure starts running toward her and Ellie is shocked to see that it's her father she throws herself into his arms but quickly realizes that it isn't actually her father it is then revealed that this figure is an alien who explains that he took this form to communicate with her more easily he also confirms that there are many alien races in the universe but when the humans sent their first radio

transmission into space it reached this galaxy the aliens watched humans closely and agreed that they were worthy of contact hence they sent a blueprint for the spaceship as a first step for Humanity to join the rest of the universe the alien promises that this is only the beginning of their contact with Earth but says goodbye for the time being he gives her a smooch while pretending to be her dead father which is some alien and then a blinding light suddenly shines and Ellie finds herself back in the ship which is landed in the Japanese sea
