That I've never seen something like that, and the noise of it when it was going up is insane. I asked Grandpa, "What do you go in it? " and he goes, "No.
" What's up, guys? Welcome back to the channel! Today, we are on Trump Force One, GOC, the Starship rocket launch at SpaceX.
Oh, we got a Nutella girl here! Hey, guys, they actually got really good Nutella for us the other day—oh, it was so good! They opened a 16-handle jar.
The Nutella was—let's show the pumpkin spice! I love pumpkin spice. Anything pumpkin spice!
What do you like? I got Nutella-flavored ice cream, and then I got this Nutella-like spread with crunch. I got the pumps of Nutella, and I got cookie dough.
I watch Nutella do you consume in a week? Consume in a week? Like, of the big tubs?
Like, two. The edits you guys make—like, the edits that I've seen on TikTok—I actually love the edits, especially to the good songs, like some of The Weeknd's songs. I saw one edit that was like "JKR," I think it's "JKR," right?
Maybe? Oh, yeah! Here—JKR!
No, I really like the edit! Keep them up! Amazing.
Wait, can we be in sync? One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four.
One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. Wow, we were so there!
I'm about to go grab a snack. I'll be right back, guys! What's that?
I want—I like this one. What is this one? P?
Oh, wait, is this clapping? You in the meat! Are you ready?
She always cheats, so we can't play. No, I know— That's it! I [Music] won!
Sweaty right now, I'm sweating. I got one question for you all—who coordinated the outfit? Actually, let me break this down.
Can I ask—what do we think we're going to wear? I said, "I just bought this Skims top at the mall; I think I'm going to wear black jeans, a black belt, black shoes, and the Skims top. " She goes, "Where in the mall do they sell Skims?
" I said, "Oh, Nordstrom. " I went to her house; she's wearing a black Skims top, a black belt, and a black tee. Can you crack my back?
Hear this, you guys! Do you hear that? Oh, it's hard lifting like 200 pounds!
Like, I kind of—do you want to squish your back? Yeah! Wow, it's easier!
Oh my God, yeah, it's making her lighter! All right, you can get off now. All right, my [Music].
Turn! You can get down lower; you gotta get low; you gotta get low! Eyes at a 45; you're going to fit.
You can do it. My first one landed! [Music] WS, Nutella girl on the wild!
This is a plane. Let me give you the [Music] tour. You probably sit down right there.
Yeah, okay there. Thank you! You think pretty sife!
Very cool! [Music] Right, 500—pretty cool stuff! It's not every day you get to see a plane land!
100! 50! 40!
30! 20! 10!
[Music] [Applause] See in my eyes since my Baby G! Awesome! I don't really know what's happening right now.
Are you nervous? I'm so nervous! You're like 10 feet away from it!
I'm fanning right now! Bryson and Neon—oh my God! Not even sh— I'll design a rocket ship golf club with boosters on the back, so you increase your swing speed just a tad—320 coming your way, just for you!
Just for me? Yeah! I'm going to need it!
All right, all right! Ow! Ow, that hurt!
[Music] Stop! [Music] Yeah, at some [Music] point—see those black tiles? Yes, we're looking at the leeward side of the rocket.
The other side, the windward side, has those black tiles. Yeah, it's a little hard to see, but— So we're looking at the leeward, the cold side essentially. You can see the tiles are on the nose, but on the other side, the W side, it's all black tiles, and those are ceramic basically heat shield tiles—like, basically hard mass versions of what was on the [Music] spaceship.
We're going off in 20 minutes! 20 minutes! 20 minutes!
20 minutes! Yeah, look, it's up at the top left—T minus! What are we feeling?
Oh no, my hair's all over the place, though! Oh, the bread looks pretty good! Really?
Okay, to [Music] it! What else do you want? Big this cookie!
That's actually kind of cool; like, it's a star! The baking is very good, very good baking! Oh my God, very good!
[Music] [Applause] [Music] Booster, Raptor pressure! [Music] Nominal! [Music] Be—come on!
[Music] It only comes back to land if everything is like super green, and then we had some concerns about the tower, so it was commanded to land out at sea. Amazing, amazing! Can they use that again?
Can they get it from the SE? It's going to be probably—probably block—probably going block, my guess, but that's fine. We actually have better versions that are in production in those factories over there.
How long will it take to produce another one of those? Oh, we already have the next one! Well, there you go!
And it's better than that one! So there are big improvements with every success! So what makes it better?
The specific next one we have has a lot of small improvements. There's a big version of increase that’ll be flying next year—it's got the version three of our engines that'll look very different as it will be longer and have a lot more thrust and have the new next-generation engines you can see—on those. Screens up there!
That’s the ship that is now going around the Earth. So if you want to maybe get a better view, if you come, let's go! It’s actually going through the Dark Side of the Earth.
The region of Earth it’s going through is now dark; it’ll enter the region where it’s actually sunny. So it’s currently sunny, about 600 miles northwest of Australia. It’ll go out of the Earth’s shadow, and we should be able to see it land once it gets to re-enter.
It’s a pretty wild thing; it looks like a special effect! It’s like every color: purple, red, white—it's wild! If it doesn’t blow up, we do have ships to try to bring it back, and then we can expect to learn more.
That’s great, but this one won’t be reused. This will not be reused. So this one is all about just learning; it’s about learning more.
This time, we’re going to enter at a steeper angle than before, so it’s going to have higher heating. We’ll see if some of the changes we’ve made to the heat shield are better. For the last launch, you could actually see where it was getting really hot because we lost some heat shield—it was kind of glowing and had a little bit of melting going on and that kind of thing.
So hopefully, this time the heat shield should be more robust. We also reduced the amount of heat shielding, so there’s about 6 feet less heat shielding on the sides because we don’t think that’s necessary. Let’s check it out!
It's kind of like, okay, it could explode. Well, I guess on the bright side, I’ve never seen something like that, and the noise of it when it was going up was insane! I asked Grandpa if he would go in it, and he said no; he would not volunteer to go in the spacecraft.
But it’s okay; would you go in it? Without a doubt, like in a heartbeat! That was crazy!
That was good. What’s the G-force going up? If you were to go to.
. . and is it too much for a person to handle?
No, it’s fine. Okay, yeah, like 5 Gs is fine. Yeah, the Boostback B is doing 20 Gs, so you wouldn’t want to be on that.
You would want to do the flip. What did you say the top speed was? Well, this flight will do about 17,000 mph, but if we’re going to Mars, you’d go much faster than that—maybe 35,000, depending on how fast you want to go to Mars.
But maybe 35,000 miles per hour. What’s the quickest time frame to get to Mars with our current technology? If you want to maximize payload, it takes 6 months; you can potentially get it down to like 3 or 4 months if you’re willing to sacrifice payload.
Okay. Does the weight matter once you’re in space as much or not really? Like, you've got to accelerate mass to a velocity to basically the mod transfer velocity.
There’s the cost-benefit aspect: if you have less payload, you can go faster. Initially, we would maximize payload to be like six months; long term, you can definitely get it below three months. So yeah, fantastic!
Let’s go see it! Let’s do it! I told her she was just crying; it’s pretty exciting.
I mean, it's one of the most epic things that humankind has done! Oh, for sure! For sure!
What's harder, this or greater rifts than Diablo? This is much harder. Did you ever play Fortnite?
Uh, no, but I did play Quake and a bunch of other first-person shooters. What about League? Did you play League?
Is that. . .
uh, League? If I start playing League, it will damage the space program. It’s cool; it’s awesome!
It’s an honor to have the president here. It’s crazy! I swear, I got chills, and I never get chills besides winning tournaments.
When I win tournaments, I get chills throughout my whole body. This legitimately gave me chills down the back of my spine! This was honestly one of the coolest things ever!
I think that changed my entire perspective on life.
