[Music] Kira was sleeping one morning and was suddenly awoken by a strange Breeze and A peculiar scent he chased the air out of his room walked toward the end of his sanctuary and stood before the ruined walls of his home this was his first encounter with such an earthy scent beyond what he knew long ago there was a great war between Angels and Demons over the fate of humanity demons tortured and used humans as toys while Angels fought for their freedom and safety When The War concluded the Angels built a town to keep humans safely

away from demons that town is called Ilia and at the very center of the town is a fortified keep known as The Sanctuary the children ask Kira why they can't lead the sanctuary but he doesn't know the answer to that question either Reno yells at Kira to take the kids's question seriously as the answer is clearly Angels lady amalda a large and Powerful Angel descends from the heavens and answers on his behalf is because they are all special and their pure souls are of great interest to demon kind thus the reason they are kept here

is for their own safety she warns them against ever leaving the sanctuary and she concludes the classes for the day as the bell tower Rings the children are ushered into the ceremony Hall amalda thanks Kira and Reno for their hard work today amalda is very affectionate toward them but she sometimes forgets that she's a giant which sometimes leads to broken bones the three of them proceed into the ceremony Hall to begin the 17th graduation ceremony they Bid Farewell to Bernard who has now reached 14 years of age age amalda explains that Bernard will be brought

into Paradise where he will live in a place more wonderful than the sanctuary Bernard thanks all his friends for the wonderful memories they've shared until now Cara and Reno say their goodbyes but it won't be for long as their 14th birthdays are just 3 days away two others bua and Cena are deeply saddened to see Bernard go but Bernard points out that their 14th birthdays are the day after Kira and Reno's they'll only be separated for a few days but they're sad to see him leave her less as they share their last meal together for

now Cena asks what Paradise is really like there are a variety of answers Bea thinks it's an eternal all you can eat buffet while Reno thinks that it's a paradise of flowers regardless the angels are tight lipped about what Paradise is really like Bernard suddenly stops laughing he has a moment of Doubt regarding whether or not Paradise actually exists but he shakes off this uncertainty a few minutes later amalda comes by and tells Bernard that it's time to go she brings him out the door and Bernard waves goodbye exclaiming that he'll see them again in

Paradise Kira and his friends talk about Bernard's departure Cena is comforted by the knowledge that she'll at least be graduating with someone else as she'd be too sad to do it on her own Reena wonders if she'd be the same but Bernard replies that she's not girly enough to do that Reno gives him a not so girly elbow to the face still the scena is sad that they'll have to leave the sanctuary eventually despite the promise that paradise is better than where they currently are Cara brings out a rusty key he reveals that it's the

key the Angels used to open the gates To Paradise and he stole it He suggests that they investigate for themselves what the outside of the sanctuary is like everyone unanimously agrees that this is a terrible idea Reno wants to return the key right away before the Angels find out however Cara is dead serious about finding out what's on the other side and he knows that the others are curious too he tells them that this is their last chance to find out what's outside the sanctuary walls as they'll be shipped off to Paradise in a matter

of days Cena is worried that they'll run into demons but bua surprisingly works up the courage to join Kira he reassures Cena that she can use him as a human meat Shield if they run into demons Cena is inevitably pressured into joining them too Reno ends up in the minority camp for some reason Cara invites her to come with them and she feels like she has no choice but to say yes with everyone on board they go about finding an opportunity to use the key they sneak past the prying eyes of the angels and Kira

leads them to a small door built into the wall he explains that when he was younger the door used to be a hole ever since then he's been deafly curious about what was on the other side he always thought about what was Beyond the Horizon Kira has trouble fitting in the key but it eventually slides in with a click Cara turns the key and the door slowly opens he and his friends emerge and end up in a wide open field it's exhilarating the first thing they want to do is check out the nearby Town Cara

looks into the distance and notices is that the town walls are higher than before they make their way into the town but it isn't anything like they expected it to be the atmosphere is dry and dreary and it perpetually smells like rats they must be in London but they came this far and they can't turn around now as they March deeper into the town they are repulsed by the Eerie fog the chattering of crows and the presence of strange creatures they've never seen before they see a tall man but because they' never seen an adult

before they assume it must be some sort of creature when the man looks their way they panic and run they debate whether or not what they saw is a demon but their main problem is that they don't even know where they are Kira feels guilty for dragging them to such a horrid place but Reno consoles him stating that they all agreed to go to Ilia together she senses the presence of someone else a young girl wearing a strange headdress notices that they aren't from around here she doesn't recognize them and she notes that they're wearing

clothes made of fine silk she offers to help them in exchange for their cloaks Kira wonders who this girl is as she seem seems to be their age the strange girl leads them out of the Alleyways she can tell that Kira and the others aren't from around here as their clothes are so nice and the color of their skin is completely different she asks them if they've ever seen an adult before but they've never even heard of the word the strange girl is almost impressed that they hadn't she explains that as children grow older their

bodies change and they eventually become adults Cena is horrified to think that they'll eventually turn into one of the creatures she saw earlier the strange girl reassures her that that sort of thing only happens to men and only upon reaching 40 or 50 years of age as the strange girl leads them across town Kira and the others bear witness to the pitiful state of the people living here and they can tell that they're all staring at them Kira remains strangely calm but nevertheless unsettled he can tell that these people are humans just like him but

he doesn't understand why they're so different from him the strange girl notices Cara has a troubled look on her face and she offers to show him the truth behind Ilia Cara follows her and and so do the others she brings them to the large outer wall which separates the town from the forest on the other side suddenly they hear blood curdling screams coming from nearby they watch in horror as their kindly Guardian Angel amalda mercilessly lashes a slave for being slow to build the wall the children can hardly believe their eyes the strange girl tells

them that this is the truth behind Ilia the angels have Enslaved the humans living here to build a wall all for the sake of the children inside the sanctuary Kira is taken AB The Strange girl already knew who all of them were amalda still dissatisfied with the human slave prepares to give him one last lashing unable to take it any longer kir runs toward the man ignoring the cries of his friends he jumps in the way of the man and amalda which causes amala's whip to strike him instead K Falls almost immediately his friends the

strange girl and the slave are shocked as they rush over to him amalda stands there in disbelief however the only thing on Kira's mind is the mystery behind the sanctuary and what really happens to them when they turn 14 Cara's friends try to help him up but amalda simply stands there motionless Cara opens his eyes and finds himself back at the sanctuary his wounds have been patched up but it still hurts to move he staggers out the door and sees that the kids are still playing and nothing seems out of place aalda accompanied by a

host of angels suddenly appears and tells him that he shouldn't be moving yet Cara flinches Cara demands to know where Reno and the others are but amalda gets to calm down so they can talk first Kira sits down and has some tea with her and he finds it strange that she doesn't seem angrier amalda notices that Cara isn't drinking his tea she asks him if he thinks that she poisoned it which wouldn't be surprising given that he directly disobeyed her orders not to leave the sanctuary Kira shutters knowing that amalda might just do that amalda

suddenly bursts out into laughter she controls herself and apologizes for the sudden joke as it was Unbecoming of her and her aspect Comfort she explains that the creator has given her and the other Angels dominion over specific emotions they also live their lives in reflection of the gifts that they have received since amalda governs over Comfort she almost always has a smile on her face Cara asks her if she finds okay to strike people with whips just because of her Dominion amalda seems to take offense to car's belief that their lives are equal to those

he saw in Ilia amalda lowers herself she tells Kira that he has no idea just how sacred his life is compared to those in the city the bell tower ring Rings signaling the end of Reno's graduation ceremony amalda encourages him to take this chance to see her off for himself kir realizes that he's been unconscious for three whole days he thought he and Reno were supposed to graduate together but due to his injury the angels have decided to postpone his graduation until he is fully healed kir rushes toward the ceremony area Reno dressed in a

white dress in Veil slowly walks down the aisle to the door to Paradise she stops outside the door and she hesitates Sarah another Angel tells her that it is time for her to go as Reno takes another step she hears Cara's voice she turns around and is reliev to see that Cara is okay but she bullies him for making her and the others worried nevertheless she's glad to see him alive Cara grabs her arm he tells her not to go to paradise as he thinks that something is seriously wrong with the sanctuary however Reno informs

him that bua and Cena have already left she reassures him that the angels will never betray them and that she'll be waiting for him in Paradise after saying her final goodbyes Reno steps into paradise and the stone doors silently closed behind her Cara can do nothing but watch while his fellow Sanctuary children celebrate and cheer Kira looks down in anguish Kira isolates himself in the inner chambers of the sanctuary the thought has crossed his mind before but now he finds himself seriously thinking about why the Angels keep them in the sanctuary and why they treat

other humans differently from them just what is going on in the heads of those angels a voice asks him if he wants to know the truth truth Cara looks behind him and sees his shadow slowly morph into something else it's the strange girl from before but without her disguise her horns and bat wings are on full display Cara exclaims that she's an exhibitionist and he looks away when he sees the black halo around her head he initially believes that she's a demon the girl calling herself Oliver says that he is correct she specifically holds the

aspect of Shadow Kira finally remembers her from when he visited Ilia he demands to know if she came here to eat him and everyone else all of her laughs while there are some demons who wouldn't mind snacking on him that's quite not her style in fact she offers to save Kira from the Angels Oliver can tell that Kira's faith in the angels and the system is already shaken so she offers to bring him deeper into the sanctuary so he can see the truth for himself Cara follows her toward the door of paradise though he knows

that it won't open unless the angels will Oliver Smiles passes through the door and opens it from the other side as Cara walks through the the door he discovers a winding spiral staircase that stretches down farther than he can see Oliver asks him why he thinks a supposed Stairway to Heaven goes down and not up Cara shutters to imagine the answer he walks down the winding steps until he reaches the bottom he enters a doorway and he's astonished by what he sees it's a long hallway with all sorts of torture tools and implements hanging on

the walls Oliver looks ahead and sees something that might interest Cara Cara heads toward the Altar and when he gets there he falls to his knees he exclaims Cena bua and Bernard's names Oliver tells him that this is how Angels operate Kira's three friends appear to have been stitched up but not before being tortured Cena coughs up blood from her now white mouth and she manages to warn Cara to run away suddenly Cena's body balloons and she turns into a massive Angel Oliver tells Cara that paradise does not exist at least for them not long

after bua and Bernard's bodies also explode and they transformed into Angels the force of their transformation is enough to push Cara away Cara wants to know what the hell is going on Oliver explains that the reason why Kira and the other children have been raised so lovingly is because they are River's humans like Kira and his friends have special bodies and are exceedingly rare fortunately Cena hasn't fully awakened so Oliver can demonstrate she plunges her hand into her chest and reveals a beating heart inside which houses the Angel's Soul when an angel suffers a lethal

blow their body disintegrates leaving nothing behind but their soul however if this stole is implanted into a Ry that angel can be resurrected using the R's body as a medium this means that Kira and everyone else in the sanctuary are nothing more than a means for the angels to revive themselves it's why the angels are so kind toward them it's because they are quite literally their comrades' bodies suddenly Oliver is attacked by an Angel but she manages to fend her off Oliver falls back to Kira's side amalda along with a host of angels has arrived

Kira recognized es them all Crow sarapi galv and xuro when Oliver hears amala's name she becomes frightened amala's fearsome reputation precedes her the torture tools on the wall begin to violently Rattle and amalda uses them to attack Oliver Oliver faces off against the full might of five Angels amalda encourages Cara to come to her side while Oliver is kept busy Cara doesn't move an inch he feels betrayed amalda has been using him and everyone else amalda doesn't see it that way in her eyes humans are weak and Mortal creatures and so they are completely dependent

on angels to survive it's the only reason they gave them so much care furthermore they are still fighting a great war against the demons so a resurrection protocol is indispensable to continue the fight she remarks that Cara can be part of that grand battle if he surrenders himself that's a lot of words but all Cara hears is that amalda has been gnly tricking him all these years he exclaims that he and the others trusted them without question the four angels feel guilty when they hear his words and indicating that not all of them are completely

on board with what they are doing Oliver Slips Away she tells Cara not to waste time talking to the angels and to focus on what's more important Kira realizes that Reno is still here amalda unleashes a powerful shock wave aimed at preventing them from escaping she also sends her four angels to apprehend them Oliver carries Kira away while trying to fend off Four Angels at once amalda rears her head back and shouts Oliver quickly covers Cara's ears which causes her to receive the full brunt of her attack consequently this allows Amala to catch up and

slice Oliver's Body in two however Oliver has a little trick up her sleeve and she uses her detached body to bind the Angels by using her Shadows Oliver carries KIRO all the way to the end of the hall they enter the room but they are too late Reno's body has already been implanted with an angel Soul her gown is still Immaculate but her face and chest are full of stitches Cara lifts her body up and tries to wake her but to no avail all of her INSP Reno's body there's nothing they can do to help

her now there is no way to reverse the process the only path left for Reno is to transform into an angel Oliver feels her Shadow binding snap indicating that the angels have broken free they don't have much time now Cara asks Oliver if there's a way to bring Reno and the others back to normal Oliver speaks plainly she does not know there's never been a case of possessed Ry returning to its old form but she encourages him to keep trying to find a way anyway she trusts that there might be something on their continent of

osto that can help she's been searching so long for someone like Kira another re with the same goals as her Kira realizes that Oliver is the same as him he looks at Reno's body and resolves to find a way to bring her and the others back to normal all of her Smiles though Cara's conviction is admirable it means nothing if they cannot Escape she reaches into her chest and pulls out her heart she explains that certain River have the ability to resist the domination effects of an angel's or Demon's Soul those who are able to

reject their influence are called true River if Cara takes this heart and consumes it he may obtain the power of an Angel however is extremely risky Kira hasn't undergone the same surgery as the other River's there is a chance that he could just die or be possessed by the Angel's Soul instead the choice is entirely up to him Cara looks at Reno and he makes up his mind with the warn memories she shared with aalda rushing through his mind he consumes the angel Soul meanwhile amalda and the other angel finally make it to the room

but before they can go inside the doorway explodes Cara steps outside wielding the power of an Angel the other angels are stunned beyond words this should be impossible for Cara to achieve without the surgery Cara pays them no mind he's more focused on the pain he coughs up blood and he falls to his knees xero appears to show genuine concern Cara's chest and head feel like they're being split open he's in so much pain that he can barely think straight suddenly the empty husk of an Angel appears behind Kira and it demands his body without

thinking Kira lashes out at it and he releases a burst of holy magic the ground beneath them erupts and the sheer pressure keeps the Angels at Bay Cara sends a bolt of energy toward the ceiling which destroys a large section of the sanctuary the effects of the battle are already being felt as far away as ilvia the sanctuary residents wake up searching for some sign of the Angels Cara's power is beyond measure the angel whose heart he ate must have been terrifyingly powerful Kel realizes that Kira is trying to fight against the Angel's influence which

means he's trying to take the power for himself exero sarapi and galev ready their weapons galev hypothesizes that the angel Kira consumed had wind-based powers based on its sheer destructive power they can no longer afford to hold back or try to capture Kira alive SF doesn't want to harm Kira if she can help it but Crow sees no other choice they must prioritize the safety of the sanctuary and the other Ries sarapi reluctantly obeyed her orders they pull their powers together and unleash a fusion attack against Cara Cara faces their Onslaught head-on galev uses this

opportunity to try and bury Kira underneath an ocean of strangling Vines but Kira breaks free and repels them Kira stumbles out of his would be prison but once more he encounters the angel husk he wildly swings his powers and causes a burst of air that blows away everything around him he unknowingly approaches xuro but he suddenly experiences another sharp pain in his chest angel wings begin to sprout from his back amalda finally arrives and subdues Kira though things didn't go quite as plan the fact remains that Kira is turning into an angel which is what

was going to happen anyway Kira rides in pain as his face is slowly swallowed up by feathers Oliver realizes that Cara is losing against the Angel's will his body is about to be possessed Oliver betrays her own position and amalda throws her sword to pin her into the rubble meanwhile Cara is in a losing mental battle against the angel Soul he consumed the angel opens its mouth wide and prepares to devour him try as he might Kira cannot win and his arms go slack Oliver shouts at Cara to resist the Angel's influence and she reminds

him of his goal to save Reno and his friends if he gives up now it'll all be over car's life flashes before his eyes he remembers Bernard Cena bua and all the other children finally he remembers Reno though heavily injured Reno manages to say Cara's name this gives Cara the will to fight back he pokes the angel in the eyes and frees himself it's a street fight now he asserts control over his own body is his own and no one else sees Cara finally overcomes the angel fighting to gain control of his body amalda is

stunned this is impossible Cara out of breath and severely exhausted has finally gained control of the Angel's power a massive Halo sits above his head Cara thought he was going to die there but now he knows he wields the power of wind it felt natural to him as though it were injected into his brain amalda gives him little time to rest and she attacks Kira is knocked back but he fires back with a powerful beam of wind amalda simply knocks it aside using her Comfort to render the wind impotent amalda continues to smile there's nothing

Cara can do suddenly Oliver tells him to grab hold of Reno while Kira was keeping the Angels busy Oliver was working over time to extend the reach of her Shadows to take hold of all the supportive structures holding up the sanctuary amala's smile disappears from her face all of Oliver wouldn't dare Oliver reminds amalda that she's a demon amalda crushes The Columns causing the sanctuary to suffer a catastrophic breakdown Oliver uses this opportunity to escape with Cara and Reno Cara wants to rescue the other kids too but Oliver tells him that there's no time this

is her only chance to escape while aalda is still reeling from the suddenness of the attack she reassures him that she made sure her friends wouldn't be seriously hurt and she promises to come back for them one day Cara stands at top the wall separating Ilia from the forest he smells the same scent from 10 years ago the outside world hadn't changed at all Cara takes one last look at the smoldering remains of the sanctuary Oliver tells him to hurry up Kira forcedly pulls himself away and she joins Oliver as they descend the wall they

Venture deep into the forest until Oliver feels it is safe enough to rest Cara catches his breath underneath a large tree he watches as a leaf slowly drifts to the ground this is what it's like outside he tells himself he wanted to see it so bad L but now he wonders if it was all worth it Oliver gives Cara some clothes she snatched from the sanctuary he accepts it but he's shocked to see that Oliver is missing her lower half she tells him not to worry and she reforms her body using her Shadow Powers Cara

puts on his new clothes while Oliver tends to Reno Cara notices that the sanctuary's Crest is on the collar he recalls one of his old lessons with amalda where she warned him and the other children not to lead the safety of the sanctuary Kira Enchanted by the outside world asked amalda if he could go outside amalda asked him to wait until he turned 14 and he'd be able to do whatever he wanted buo wanted to eat everything in sight if he ever got into paradise and when Cara asked her what she wanted to do once

she made it out she replied that she didn't care as long as she was with everyone else however reality is not kind and Cara's dreams did not come to pass Cara is heartbroken everything that the Angels told him was a lie there's no tooth fairy either the world is a broken place and Cara wants to to know how it ended up this way what did he do to deserve this I mean specifically Oliver tries to console Kira with a story she explains that long ago the world was first created by God and shortly after he

created Humanity after creating Humanity he also created angels and demons Angels maintained order while demons became beacons of free will God tasked them with governing his Creations everything seemed to go well at first but eventually the Angels betrayed the demons the angels obsessed with maintaining order waged a destructive war against the demons with the intent of wiping them out this means that even the angels claimed that they were protecting humans from demons was a lie an immeasurable number of angels and demons died during the war and because they were unable to reproduce they entered into

a stalemate nothing much happened afterwards but everything changed when the reveries were discovered when an angel or demon dies their body disappears into nothingness leaving behind their soul a crystallized essence of their very being the Angels found a way to use these Hearts to resurrect their Brethren by procuring a revery the Angels could turn them into vessels for their kind Cara is angry to imagine that this was the only reason the Angels cared for them that's all there was to it the Angels were desperate to replenish their numbers so they began by hunting down human

beings with the potential to become Rives young children who were too young to endure the surgery were kidnapped instead and raised until the day that they could the Angels continue to kidnap Rives even now Cara is faced with the reality that everyone he knew and loved was nothing but disposable livestock for the Angels he asks if the humans are trying to fight back but Oliver reminds him of what he saw at Ilia humans are powerless to stop them the world as they know is almost completely dominated by Angels Cara asks about the demons Oliver explains

that the demons are fighting back but they lack the resurrection system that the Angels do they're demons not monsters she explains that she obtained a demon's power because she wanted to save someone who was Kid snapped and turned into an angel she ate the Demon's Heart while holding those strong feelings in her heart and she overcame their control she wandered the Earth wielding a demon's power and she met Kira the rest is history Kira calms himself down he asks her if she thinks that there's a way to turn Reno and the others back to normal

Oliver wants to believe that there is even though she's been trying to find a way for years to encourage him Oliver points out that it was once thought impossible to revive an angel using a Ry likewise she and Cara are proof that they can take control of their power so it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine bringing Reno and the others back to normal Reno originally snuck into the sanctuary to find a way but all she found was him Cara is encouraged by her words he wants to make the Angels pay Cara brushes Reno's head

and Promises to bring her back to normal Oliver decides to tell Cara the truth about Reno however they are suddenly attacked by an Angel he unleashes a blast that uproots the path in front of him it's a male angel this is Cara's first time seeing one the angel politely bows he introduces himself as Hugo and he is here on orders from amalda he hates to kill small children like them but his orders are absolute Hugo spots Reno in car's arms and recalls from his briefing that she has a dormant Angel inside her Hugo starts laughing

profusely he asks Cara what his plan is for trying to bring Reno away from the sanctuary he tells Cara that it's only a matter of time before Reno transforms into an angel and he'd be better off handing her over to him Carro responds by kicking Hugo in the face which isn't the most polite way to answer back Hugo managed to block the attack but he was able to get a taste of how powerful Kira is this is the power of someone who has consumed an angel Cara can tell that Hugo firmly believes he's on the

side of Justice he wants to wipe that smug grin off his face Cara's head is clear he knows what he can do and how he can make his body move now that he's infused with Angelic power he knows he can take down Hugo he tells Oliver to run and keep Reno safe and she flees into the forest as instructed Hugo feels that Cara is underestimating him if he thinks he can win Hugo pummels Cara with a punch magnitude stronger than before but Cara pays him back with interest Hugo is impressed that Cara can keep up

even in his imperfect form his fighting prowess is well above what he'd expect from an amateur Hugo decides to kick it up a notch by showing him the real power of an Angel Hugo clasps his hands together and summons a black Halo out of thin air Hugo smiles and the black Halo suddenly exerts several tons of force on Cara's body Cara is thrown to the ground he can feel his body being crushed Hugo laughs cheerily this is the power granted to him by his creator the power over gravity anything under his black Halo becomes unfathomably

heavy but that's not all he can do Hugo dispels the black Halo and creates another halo around Cara he can make things weightless too Cara is robbed of his ability to dodge and Hugo pummels him into the air Cara is thrust into the heavens themselves and Hugo hopes that his time up there will be spent repenting Cara squirms midair but with every second that passes he gets further and further away from the ground eventually Cara enters the Earth's atmosphere which lets him behold the Majesty of the planet he lives on Kira suddenly realizes that he

cannot breathe and he's still going further away from Earth at this rate he's going to die he tries to think about what he can do if he just had some air he could Propel himself back to Earth there's no Earth Earth in the vastness of space but he still has air inside him K uses the last of his breath and launches himself back into the Earth meanwhile Hugo subdues Oliver with his gravity magic and he recaptures Reno Hugo taunts Oliver but he can't help but find it interesting how she managed to obtain the power of

a demon she'd make for a great test subject after but he hasn't forgotten about Reno either nevertheless Hugo is confident that Kira is stuck in space so be feel secure in bringing Oliver and Reno back to the sanctuary despite her troubling situation Oliver smiles she knows that Cara isn't the typ to let something like being launched into space stop him he's going to claw his way back by clinging to the atams if he has to Oliver knows this because she won't let it end without a fight either she fights against the effects of Hugo's gravity

powers and calls out Kira's name Hugo prepares to silence her for good but something hits his face at incredible speeds that's something was Cara's knee the effects of Hugo's gravity disappear which lets Oliver move again Cara asks all her if she's okay she hops into his arms and tells him his timing was perfect Hugo finds that half his teeth are gone his calm and composed demeanor disappear all bets are off he's going to drag them back into pieces if he has to dozens of black Halos appear across the battlefield if they don't stop him they'll

be ground to dust Cara asks Oliver to grab hold of the Halos with her Shadows she launches several arms at a few of the Halos and brings them back to her Hugo snarls at her to let his Halos go she does just that by throwing them away Hugo retaliates by crushing her with another Halo but her job is done she leaves the rest to Cara Hugo searches for Cara but he can't seem to find him he looks up and notices not just one Halo but five of them stacked on top of each other the Halos

about a way to cure possessed River's yukaba is surprised she hasn't given up on that Oliver violently shakes yukaba for any Chrome of information yukaba yells at her to down he hasn't come across any information anyhow when he sees her fall dispirited he directs her to the town of Vela an important port city at the very end of the peninsula with the number of information brokers in the area Oliver is bound to get the information she needs Oliver thanks yukaba for his help he warns her to leave soon as he can smell an angel nearby

lastly Oliver barters for some extra food and supplies Cara and Oliver hide out in a cave Cara holds his brand new sword aoft Oliver got it for him as it'd be more helpful in a fight she tells him about her plan to head to Vela gather information and then try to travel elsewhere via boat as it would be difficult to cross the border from there Oliver finishes making her stew she tries to feed Kira but he grabs the bowl and insists on eating it himself as he cools down his bowl Oliver tells him that it's

been 3 days since Reno swallowed the Angel's heart it could awaken at any moment now so they have to make a choice they can either run or fight but she finds Escape unlikely she asks Kira what he plans to do if they kill the angel then the Rey whose body was used will also die she knows that Kira is the type to prioritize his friends which makes this a difficult decision Kira looks at his feet he wanted to avoid this topic as long as possible that a friend he's known his whole life would turn into

and he tries to put on a brave face he turns around and draws his sword so he can talk to himself in Its Reflection he needs to be strong enough to defend Reno against anyone meanwhile Oliver struggles to get any information regarding Rives she decides to head to the center area which houses the Angel's classified information Oliver knows that it's likely to be highly guarded so she needs a discreet way to get inside but she finds something out of the ordinary Cara practices swinging his sword and tires himself out he doesn't know much about swordsmanship

unfortunately as he sheets his blade he feels himself rattle this is the same feeling he got when Hugo appeared there's an angel nearby and they're closer than he thinks two angels crash through the roof Cara has no idea how they found this place the Angels remain silent then they attack Cara is feeling confident after defeating Hugo he can surely beat them two onone Cara avoids being struck by a mace and he jumps out of the way of the other Angel spear Cara grabs her Spear and Strikes her from below and when that fails he tackles

her into the other Angel the two angels keep their distance for now Cara is feeling even more confident than before the Angels aren't as strong as Hugo however he notices that they're simply standing still and they seem to be slowly backing away Cara Hears A Familiar sound coming from behind him he's still fighting two angels and Oliver is away this is the worst possible timing Reno is turning into an angel the battlefield has shifted drastically now that Reno has turned into an angel however it seems that she hasn't fully awakened yet as Cara turns around

the two angels go straight for Reno they don't even view Cara as a threat anymore Cara desperately defends Reno but he doesn't have time to deal with them both he parries the first Angel sword but he uses his own body to Shield against the second Angel spear Cara is confused as to why they're attacking Reno now even though they were so preoccupied with him before as Reno's Power builds up Cara makes the decision to escape with her he grabs Reno and jumps out the window and they run through torrential rains Cara does what he can

to try and stop Reno's transformation he tries to physically grab the halb to stop it from expanding but as he does it burns his hands nevertheless Kira doesn't let go suddenly a giant flail strikes him from the back which inevitably forces him to Cara and Reno are sent flying several feet away and the two angels catch up to them Cara and Reno are left lying in a pool of water Cara asks the Angels why they're trying to kill Reno but they don't give him an answer and they wordlessly prepare their weapons car gasps for air

as he stumbles to his feet he refuses to let them harm Reno even if she turned into an angel now she'd still be the girl he loves Kira shakily raises his hand and prepares to launch his last ditch effort to keep them back not wanting to give him the opportunity the two angels hurl their weapons at him suddenly the water around Kira starts to cradle him the water morphs into sharpened blades and they skew the two angels the Angels disintegrate almost immediately leaving nothing behind but their sole Hearts Cara has no idea what just happened

a smooth orb of water hovers near Kira and it slowly empties itself an angel emerges from it and thanks Cara for protecting her body for as long as he did the angel Aqua stares at him with lifeless eyes and Cara is heartbroken to see that Reno's Angelic transformation has been completed Oliver attacks Aqua with Shadow bolts but she instinctively protects herself with a barrier of water Oliver demands that Aqua step away from Cara to her surprise Aqua doesn't seem immediately hostile this is because she's heard everything that they've been saying through Reno's ears this entire

time she also understands that the two of them are living Miracles as they both have the power of Angels and Demons she reassures them that she is not their enemy Oliver finds that hard to believe but with how strong her Angelic Aura is and how willing she is to talk Cara is inclined to hear her out Cara asks her to prove that she's on their side by giving Reno back to them Aqua regrets to inform them that she cannot do so at the moment but she does know of a method that can bring Reno back

Cara's eyes light up with hope Aqua notices that Kira's hands are burned so she takes them in her hand and licks them she asks to see her other wounds and explains that her bodily fluids have the power to heal them Aqua understands why they are hestin to believe her but she points out that the two angels tried to attack her this is because she is a traitor though this is a very important piece of information Oliver seems angrier at the fact that Aqua was licking Kira Aqua recounts that everything began at the end of the

war in Central Europe she was one of the first Angels created at the dawn of time along with Erie the angel of the sky and terara the angel of of the earth after he had finished his work the Creator left for a secluded place that even they did not know eventually the Angels began to abuse their God's creations she knows that Cara has seen it for himself the Angel's single-minded obsession with order became twisted and eventually they cared about nothing but themselves they are now nothing more than machines when she discovered that some of them

had learned of a way to resurrect other angels and that the practice had begun to spread she realized that her fellow Angels no longer carried the Purity they had at the Advent of creation thus she left in search a way to save the Rives she traveled the world in search of answers using the Seas and the rain as her guide and as a means to cover her tracks eventually in a remote area of the world she discovered a small fragment of the original Creator this means that there is still a way to save not just

Reno but all the river's this in turn would eventually heal their world however just before Aqua could secure this fragment the other Angels ambushed and killed her she infers that they likely resurrected her so they could extract this information from her but she refuses to hand it over to them Aqua asks Cara and Oliver for their help in returning to where her Creator rests so they can save the river and she promises to surrender Reno's body once they do Cara asks for her name and she formally introduces herself as Aqua the angel of water the

first place they'll need to go to will be the north which means they'll have to cross the checkpoint however Oliver scouted the area earlier and sitting near the checkpoint is none other than amalda herself between the angel and demon Realms and there is a powerful magical barrier separating them even Aqua cannot hope to break through it going through amalda is their only option and if they wait around they risk running into enemy reinforcements Aqua summons three huge waves to begin their attack she carries them right into their enemy amalda The Waves get bigger and bigger

until they become large enough to swallow the city of Vela itself Oliver is astonished by the sheer power of firstborn Angel they're headed straight for the border gate Aquis waves smash into the stone walls of the border and they penetrate deep into the heart of the enemy base Aqua eliminates all the Angels standing in their way without giving them a chance to speak though this was easy Aqua warns them that amalda will be a difficult opponent she was one of the four main Angels who fought and survived in the central European War Oliver finds it

hard to believe that Aqua can't solo her like she did with the other Angels but Aqua explains that amalda is not simply the strongest Angel of the humor when an angel's power exceeds a threshold their Powers evolve amala's Dominion encompasses both comfort and relaxation and all their Associated Concepts however it's still three against one and aqua believes they have a real shot at winning Oliver still hasn't completely come to trust her she wants to know why despite being one of the most infamous traitor of the Angel kind very few Angels seem to be hunting Aqua

down Aqua realizes she has a point she stands corrected she thought Oliver was a bit more stupid nevertheless Aqua points out that even they don't don't have a concrete plan so it stands to reason that the Angels did not anticipate that they get this far either they have no time to sit around and aqua continues their assault as they ride her waves deeper into the Border base Oliver notices that Cara hasn't said a single word during all this time Aqua suddenly gets a tightening feeling in her chest Reno seems to be conscious inside her and

the closer they get to amalda the more relaxed Reena feels eventually they arrived in massive room with the only fixtures being strange pillars with light Aqua explains that this area serves as a rest area for angels as well as an impromptu meeting room Kira feels a tightness in his chest he can sense that aalda is nearby Aqua swings her head around she senses powerful Elite Angels coming from behind they can't afford to be caught in a pincer attack but they can't split up either Cara tells Aqua that he and Oliver will take care of amalda

and he asks her to take care of the ones coming from behind them aquad doubts the wisdom of that decision she isn't even sure the three of them could defeat amalda Kira insists on settling things with amalda the way they began it's poetic but Aqua can't see how it's a smart thing to do Aqua reveals that Cara consumed the heart of Arie the angel of wind whose power is on par with her own Aqua warns Cara that if he hopes to defeat amalda he needs to surrender his body to weie she reassures him that he

has nothing to fear but that isn't an easy decision to make Aqua senses danger nearby amalda is here Cara and Oliver look behind them and they see amalda float toward them though her descent is soft and gentle her Landing is powerful enough to crush the rock beneath her feet amalda took the liberty of changing her outfit and she asked Kira what he thought the pressure of malda is emanating is nothing like it was when they fought her before amalda is serious this time amalda strangely asks Cara if he's eaten or if he's sick or injured

Cara asks her how she could be in such a good mood and she replies that it's because she is amalda doesn't seem too affected by Bernard Cena bua and all the other Sanctuary children she sent to be slaughtered amalda had good times with them and it's a shame she won't be able to call their names once she becomes the new Creator Cara grabs his sword there can be no more dialogue it's time to fight for his freedom or die trying amalda happily accepts his challenge especially since her godhood is at stake Kira propels himself forward

with arie's wind but a m that easily swats him away Kira doesn't give up and he smashes right back into her he boosts his speed to its absolute limits his sword grinds against amala's Black Blade and cracks soon form in her sword's edge finally it shatters Oliver is filled with hope they can beat her Cara thrusts his sword into amala's stomach but inexplicably stops just short of hitting her and it harmlessly slides off amala's power of relaxation means that virtually all attacks can be conceptually Shrugged off Kira's Mist attack leaves him wide open but fortunately

Oliver swoops in just in time to rescue him aala is a terrifyingly powerful Foe and they seem to have no chance of winning Oliver has an idea she proposes merging their Shadows together so they can become a single fighting unit this will multiply K's power several times over this of course carries with it the risk that Oliver will never be able to return to her body oliv her Smiles that just means she'll have to owe Reno an apology a few moments later Kira returns to face amalda this time with the power of Oliver coursing through

his very Soul K's plan is simple they'll kill amalda and bring everyone back as he prepares to attack amalda brings out her sword of light the same weapon she used before amalda swings her blade causing massive damage to the path in front of her if Cara gets hit by that he'll die for sure Cara uses Oliver's Shadows to move across the battlefield he slashes past amalda and seemingly does a massive amount of damage amalda remains standing and smiling she heeds her sword of light and releases a large amount of pressure forcing car back nothing he

does works and his solution is to Simply ramp up the number of attacks kir propels himself forward with wind and he goes straight for amala's neck however amalda catches his blade and throws him to the ground not even their combined power can stand up to amalda so Cara sees no other choice he has to surrender his body to Erie amalda on the other hand is just happy to be here she's never enjoyed fighting this much before amalda coaxes Cara to keep fighting more and more Cara stares at amalda he thought he was ready for this

fight Oliver tells Cara that they'll have to gamble on a sneak attack so that amalda doesn't have time to use her Comfort power however Cara's heart waivers he spent so much time with amalda that he can't bring himself to genuinely hate her AR knows this too Cara convinces himself that this isn't true amalda lied betrayed and tortured him and his friends he needs the power to kill her no matter what Kira hands over his body to Arie so that her full power May flow once more a moment later Cara finds himself lying down on an

empty field with Erie standing above him Erie explains that they are within her world which she now shares with him she looks nothing like the angel he saw before but she explains that the angel husk he saw was a product of his fear nothing more Cara asks Erie for her help in defeating amalda but he notices that they're in a familiar Place Arie explains that they're in the sanctuary as it was 300 years ago this is where the practice of using River's began and she helped amalda develop it Cara spots amalda playing with the children

just as iie had said Arie has nothing to say in her defense at the time of the creation of the Resurrection procedure she was consumed by hatred and the pressing need for reinforcements during war Arie never directly interacted with the children herself but amalda genuinely loved caring for and adoring them on the night that the first child was sacrificed Ary looked over at amalda and saw the genuine anguish and pain on her face she couldn't even put what she saw into words however because amalda is the aspect of comfort which is completely antithetical to sorrow

amalda could not acknowledge what those pain feelings were the mental damage she suffered was immense but she was incapable of showing it it was Unthinkable that an angel's aspect could bring them pain Kira realizes the meaning behind amala's words she's always smiling simply because she can't stopped smiling even when she felt pain anger or sorrow she could do nothing but smile several centuries later amalda came to covet the power of the creator for herself Arie agrees to lend car of her power so that she may atone for what she did Cara Springs back to life

the time he spent inside arie's dream world felt like hours but in the real world it was barely a second car gets up he now knows in his heart what he came here to do he's here to fight not just for his friends and loved ones there's one more person who needs to be saved amalda Cara wields the full might of Aries winds and on a scale hunto unseen for centuries a giant blast of wind pummels amalda as the winds subside amalda appears unharmed but her hands are crushed not even her Comfort can stand up

to erie's Gale winds Cara presses his Advantage he cleverly uses Oliver's Shadows to attack amalda from a multitude of angles he slowly whittles down amalda with this three-pronged assault until finally he deals the decisive blow Cara approaches amalda she no longer has the energy to fight Oliver wants to join them but Erie convinces her to let them have their alone time amalar remarks that her dream of becoming the creator has ended Cara asks her what she planned to do once she became the Creator and she explains that her dream was simple she came to adore

the children during her time at the sanctuary despite what they were doing to them she found herself wishing to have children of her own on a tiny Island across the sea made for her family and no one else there would be no duties no work and no Wars all she wanted was peace this is why she stole aqua's heart and implanted it in Reno she wanted to know where the Creator's fragmented body was hidden so she could have made her dream a reality however she no longer cares about that dream she finally understands what life

is all about now Cara is frustrated that he never knew anything about what she was going through amalda always had a soft spot for Cara she knew how he yearned for the world beyond the sanctuary and she felt the same way she dreamed of a world where none of them were Bound by Duty or hardship they would be free together amala's body disappears leaving behind only her crystallized Soul Cara spends little time on tears they still have a job to do they have to go to the Creator a few days later Aqua infused with the

power of the Creator released all the River from their angel bodies she also sends back the angels and demons to their original Plains of existence there are still Angels who hold the same ideals as Amala but they will slowly be relieved of their duties Oliver looks into the distance she sees the sanctuary children in the distance Aqua tells Kira that because his soul has become intertwined with Oliver and yerri she cannot separate them as easily as she did with the river nevertheless she encourages him to go forth and see his friends again he should be

proud he saved them all Cara happily runs across the field and reunites with his friends from the sanctuary a few months later Cara and aqua return to the original Sanctuary Cara places amalda heart on the floor and aqua resurrects her she opens her eyes and is surprise to see Kira perhaps most striking of all is that she is human siiz the Four Angels run up to Amal that and happily Embrace her Aqua explains that she took the liberty of removing their Angelic nature which means that aqua and the other angs are now humans the Angels

speak of how they knew how much amalda adored the children Cara approaches amalda but she can't bear to look him in the eye not after what she did Cara tells her that the children are waiting for her and he drags her away against her will Cara tells Amala that it will all be okay she now has proper emotions they can understand each other even better than before with this amalda is given hope and she joins Cara in a village by the beach
