homeless if you're homeless you're basically at the bottom of the social class in terms of your purchasing ability and influence as the kids today would say you're broke AF because you can't afford a home or anything else simply put you're impoverished in most cases homeless people live on the streets in shelters or temporarily are staying with friends and family until they can get back on their feet it's a bit like being on a never-ending episode of Survivor but without the million dooll prize at the end but in a lot of cases they're homeless because of
their lack of job opportunities or it could even be related to mental health issues a lot of homeless people meanwhile don't have homes or jobs because of larger societal problems such as demanding employment requirements or expensive housing it's tough out there and you'd have to have a degree in not being broke 101 to survive most homeless people live off begging or occasional trips to the nearest Soup Kitchen even if they wanted to work they can't find jobs willing to take a homeless person imagine filling out a job application and writing the bench across the street
as your address being homeless however can sometimes mean that you just don't have a home some homeless people actually have jobs or can afford daily meals the problem is that homes are so expensive that not even above minimum wage earners can pay rent or mortgages so these guys usually live off as couch Surfers or may have turned their 20-year-old car into their all-in-one bedroom living room and kitchen unskilled laborers you're a guy willing to work for a living the problem is that you have no particular talents skills or educational achievements heck you barely made it
out of high school in one piece still you have the heart of a hardworking guy even if you were born in hard mode that's the life of an unskilled laborer even though being an unskilled labor sounds bad these are the backbone of society because they work in physically demanding work that doesn't require special education or technical skills you'll find them working on a construction site cleaning hotel rooms picking up trash and doing repetitive tasks in a factory if repetition were an Olympic sport they'd take home gold medals they're willing to work it's just that they're
not qualified for any work other than those requiring them to Simply show up and follow instructions but unskilled workers are not unskilled because anyone can do their job it just means that their jobs don't need education or Advanced Training you won't find them attending night classes to master quantum physics just to sweep the floors of an office building wages for unskilled tend to be lower and unfortunately these workers sometimes face less job security or fewer benefits compared to those in skilled or professional roles but their work is essential because without them Daily Life as we
know it would quickly spiral into chaos trash would pile up construction projects would Halt and everyday Services would grind to a halt Working Poor the term Working Poor might sound like a contradiction after all your parents told you to work hard to avoid becoming poor but in this economy you can be a hard worker and still be broke with a wallet that feels lighter than a feather the Working Poor are those who are willing to work they're sometimes employed in more than one job they clock out from one job and run faster than a speeding
bullet to get to their second job but their wages are too low to cover basic needs housing Food and Health Care are luxury items to them imagine you're working full-time maybe even pulling overtime at a retail store restaurant or as a cleaner but your paycheck just doesn't stretch far enough despite all the hours rent eats up most of it groceries feel like a luxury and the unexpected expenses like a car repair or medical bill can throw your whole budget into chaos it's like running on a treadmill that's speeding up while you're already out of breath
the Working Poor often find themselves stuck in low wage unstable jobs with little opportunity for advancement because they're not the most skilled members of society or cannot afford higher education it's like climbing a grease ladder that allows you to see the top but prevents you from ascending higher but their jobs are often essential roles such as the ones you see in the service industry the problem is they're undervalued and underpaid because being a hard worker isn't enough for a living wage anymore it's like the economy is saying thanks for working hard now go enjoy your
three pack of ramen noodles blue collar workers if you're looking for someone great at solving problems that require manual labor technical skills and work ethic that's where your blue collar worker comes in you see these people working in factories construction and M maintenance they're their real life mcgivers except instead of duct tape and chewing gum they use tools that can actually fix stuff and they're aptly called Blue Collar because historically they used to wear blue shirts and jeans which are sturdy and great at hiding those grease stains Blue Collar work usually involves building fixing driving
and assembling you might think of electricians plumbers machine operators or even truck drivers as classic examples of blue collar workers they're the guys making sure the lights stay on the roads get built and the products on store shelves exist without them you'd be trying to fix everything with duct tape if you think being a blue collar worker means you're at the bottom of society you're wrong these jobs require a lot of skill and expertise just because blueco collar workers aren't sitting behind a desk filling out spreadsheets and dreaming of coffee brakes it doesn't mean their
work isn't complex for example electricians need to understand intricate wiring systems basically they're the ones who keep your house from becoming a shockingly chaotic Place Serv workers you're going about your usual day on your way to work by taking the bus before going to your nearest Starbucks to order your favorite caramel macchiato you're already interacting with two different service workers in those two activities alone whether whipping up your favorite latte or driving you to work service workers are the unsung heroes of customer interaction unlike jobs that create physical products service workers provide you guessed it
Services they help customers perform tasks that require interpersonal skills and often deal with the unpredictability of people's moods imagine a customer throwing a temper tantrum because you poured regular milk instead of soy into their daily coffee that's the kind of stuff you'd have to deal with as a service worker patience is a superpower here service workers are unique because their social standing depends on their varying wages some jobs like waiting tables or working in retail pay low or minimum wages they're so low that you'd have to put on your best smile hoping to get a
good tip that would be enough to buy you a meal but working as a flight attendant or medical assistant means you're getting paid better because these jobs require more skill than taking orders from a table regardless of their salaries being a service worker is tough because you face inconsistent schedules long hours on your feet and not so great customer attitudes it comes with the added moments of meeting a lot of Karens who always seem to have wanted to talk with your manager small business owners if you're a small business owner you have an interesting place
in the social class because you're the Jack of all trades of your business you juggle different roles such as manager accountant marketer and delivery guy all to keep the business running sure you might not be rolling in dough but at least you're needing it because you're a big part of the local economy small business owners are the guys who take their dreams roll up their sleeves and create something out of nothing it could be a Cozy Coffee Shop a unique clothes Boutique or a tech startup you're usually part of the middle class because they're self-sufficient
but not profiting enough to claim they're rich small business bank accounts look more like a roller coaster because there are many ups and downs and maybe the occasional Scream Of Terror their experiences can vary depending on the type of jobs they handle in their business one minute you might find them juggling spreadsheets and customer orders and the next they're figuring out how to Market their latest creation on social media trying to figure out if a picture of their avocado toast really needs a filter small business owners however face competition from larger competition and the Ever
Changing consumer preference your small coffee shop will find it hard to compete with Starbucks if pumpkin spice is the latest Trend so even if being a small business owner can give you Financial stability you're not exactly swimming in cash especially with all the challenges you need to overcome but you're an important Community member because you build jobs support local causes and add a unique spice to your neighborhood white collar workers when you're walking in the business district of a big city like New York white collar workers are the people who look smart important and a
bit too smug for their good these members of society traded hard hats and steel toed boots for suits and ties to work for big corporations and they're usually managers administrative workers and skilled professionals being a white collar worker means you're at least in the middle of the social class ladder that's why white collar workers need to be well educated you can't expect to reach the top without a degree in procrastination studies these workers often earn a decent salary and in many cases enjoy good benefits your standing in society can also vary depending on your role
for example a company executive is wealthier than a school teacher or an intern despite that there are a lot of opportunities for career advancement in White Collar jobs especially if you can Master the Fine Art of nodding seriously while pretending to understand business jargon you've never heard before but all of those come at the cost of losing your sanity while chasing tight deadlines and getting screamed at by your boss who also gets screamed at by the company C o it's like a corporate game of who can yell louder so even though being a white collar
worker can help you climb the social ladder because of the money and power that comes with your job the office politics and occasional sucking up to your boss mentality can take the fun out of it landed gentry the landed gentry are the people who probably never know what hard work means because they've never had to work hard they own large Estates and lands but aren't nobility instead they're a step below noble people in the social class hierarchy but are still Filthy Rich they're so rich that they have a butler carrying their credit cards if you
belong to this social class you likely have hundreds of acres of land waiting for you before you were even born thanks to the family Treasure Chest overflowing from properties acquired by your great great great great great great grandpa he was probably the only one who ever worked in the family but since then the next Generations of your family have all been living off whatever money they could get from the estate the landed gentry inherited their place in society instead of toiled for for it unlike other people who had to go to school earn degrees and
work their way up the ladder to have a better social status meanwhile the Gentry were busy perfecting their golf swings and debating which luxury car to buy despite being born into riches the landed gentry are well educated because that's the only thing they have to work for their families ensure they get the best education possible often going to prestigious universities they got into because they know someone from the inside after all someone must be smart enough to manage the properties without accidentally turning them into a petting zoo political Elite being a member of the political
Elite means you want to grow up and be the town mayor like your father who also followed his Father's Footsteps to No Surprise your grandfather also stepped into the shoes left by his father it's essentially a family built to become a political Dynasty and the elite of the elite in a certain town city or country this is the kind of family where the Thanksgiving dinner conversations revolve around budgets zoning laws and who's getting the next tax break the political Elite is a small group with significant power and influence in political decision-making imagine a VIP Club
with the same few faces at the front making the big calls like the cool kids table in high school instead of discussing who wore what to the prom they decide your tax rates this Elite group typically includes high-ranking politicians influential Business Leaders and key figures in media and Academia other than having the right family name and influence to become a political Elite these people also have the right resources you probably don't have access to this could be wealth connections or even prestigious educational backgrounds or maybe they know the secret handshake of networks reinforcing their status
meaning they're often surrounded by others with similar power it's like being in a secret Club where membership is based on who you know and what you have but the problem with being part of the political Elite is that it can sometimes be more about keeping power within the circle than helping the community politicians are more likely to chase their interests and forget about the needs of Everyday People they're only nice to you if they think your vote counts of course some members of this social group want genuine change but they're as rare as a unicorn
and instead of leaving a trail of Glitters it's a trail of broken promises and campaign Logans oligarchs let's say you're baking a cake with the help of 99 other people all of you worked hard with you leading the way and dictating the recipe naturally you're supposed to get a bigger share as the leader but in instead of getting a larger slice you take 99% of the cake and leave only 1% to everyone else that's what being an oligarch means these are the guys who hold a disproportionate amount of power and influence in society the term
oligarchy comes from the Greek word for few which is fitting since it often feels like a small Club where membership is exclusive and the password is wealth this system allows a few people to control many resources or decision-making processes oligarchs are often the big businessmen who who built their Empires from the ground and have amassed so much wealth that they become the biggest players in the economic game they may not have the same social and political standings that Kings and politicians have but they can have anyone kneeling on their feet simply by showing how many
zeros they have in their bank accounts that's why oligarchs have a cozy BFF relationship with the government picture a scene where they're rubbing elbows with politicians at glamorous parties making deals that can change the course of a Nation you're looking at guys like Elon Musk Jeff B and Mark Zuckerberg shaking hands with political leaders and you probably know a certain orange skinned billionaire who is both an oligarch and the political Elite but while oligarchs are important in driving economic growth it can be a mixed bag they can also contribute to inequality because no one wants
to see one man eating a whole Buffet while the rest of society eats the leftovers nobility being a member of a noble family means you're near the top but could never get there because you just happen to be the cousin of the ruling family you're 300th in the line of succession but while you may look pitiful while compared to the ruling class you're a God to the rest of society because of your money and influence the members of the nobility are near the top of the food chain of elite members of society they're like Coke
light in the sense they look and act like royalty but aren't exactly royalty despite that they were born into wealth privilege and Power in many cultures being Noble meant having titles like Duke count and baron often inherited from family this is where the whole Noble Birthright idea comes in where your lineage is a big deal what sets the nobility apart is that they've owned vast lands or entire cities for hundreds of years they enjoy Lifestyles filled with fine dining luxury clothing and fancy parties most of these guys were simply born to enjoy a good life
full of the finest things anyone could ever have their biggest problem is choosing whether to have truffles or oysters for lunch historically noble people had to protect the people living on their land think of them as the medieval version of neighborhood watch while that's no longer true today most noble people still have certain political responsibilities that's why they're educated in the best universities and institutions in the world and are trained in the Fine Art of swimming in the political sea in modern times while the traditional roles of nobility have diminished titles still exist in many
countries often with ceremonial roles some Modern Nobles engage in philanthropy or politics others would rather spend their days riding horses sipping wine and eating caviar because they were born into the right family we on this channel would also one day live the life of a noble person simply relaxing and eating the finest food in the world you can help us reach that goal by subscribing to our Channel royalty if there's an equivalent of being handed a golden ticket in the lottery of life it's being born into royalty when you think of royalty you may imagine
crowns castles gold and probably a few dragons but royalty is more about lineage power and privilege they're not only handed a golden ticket but also have silver spoons in their mouths traditionally being a royal family member means you own everything in a country or Kingdom the common folk only exist to serve you as if God told you to fill in his seat after creating the world that is why members of the royal family are treated as the elite of the elite even in today's modern world where their powers have diminished today royalty is more like
a title that doesn't come with any political power of course the royal family is still incredibly Rich that's why you may imagine royalty being about lavish Banquets diamond rings and luxury cars it's like they're living in a NeverEnding Disney movie where their happily ever after came when they were born however it's not all about fairy tales and Tiaras being Royal comes with a hefty dose of responsibility even though they're no longer political leaders they represent their countries participate in diplomatic Affairs and often engage in charitable work to make the royal family look good and Noble
in the eyes of us common folk think of them as the original influencers they smile wave and pose with puppies to distract us from the fact that they probably can't even change a light bulb without a Royal Decree however there are still countries where Royals are not only part of national identity but are the big leaders of the nation regardless of their role royalty holds the top place in the social class ladder not only because they are rich and Powerful but also because we treat them as a step above Humanity just because they have the
right blood flowing through their veins [Music]
