hi everyone welcome to cook Stacy cook today I'm going to show you how I make my favorite beef and onion Stir Fry at home this dish is very easy to make and it goes very well with rice or noodles so let me show you how I make it first we will cut about 4 green onions cut them right in the middle to separate the white in the green pot split the white part in half and cut them into two inch sections cut the green part of the green onion into two inch sections too keep them
separate from the white part because we will use them at a different time during the cooking process means about 4 cloves of garlic crushed garlic with a knife and take the time to finely mince them cut one onion into large strips I like to take the time to separate the onion now because this makes the stir frying easier later now the beef you can use almost any cut of beef you can find Cut against the grain of the meat we will slice beef into average thickness you can slice them thinner or thicker to your preference
marinate the beef with soy sauce dark soy sauce oyster sauce sugar a little bit of baking soda and some cornstarch mix them well and then add a little bit of oil and sesame oil it's important that you add the oil only after the marinating seasoning has been mixed into the beef now we are ready to cook you don't have to let the beef marinate preheat your pan over medium high heat add a little bit of oil when the oil is hot add the onion in the white part of the green onion we will stir fry
them just enough to get rid of the raw spicy taste thin them with a little bit of sugar and salt make sure you don't overcook them because we want to preserve the crunchy texture of the onions where you think the onion is ready remove them from the pan now we will cook the beef add a little bit more oil to the hot pan add the beef and spread them out let them pan fry a little bit you don't have to stir them now let them pan fry until the bottom is slightly Brown then stir the
beef to flip them over and add the minced garlic we prepare earlier stir fry the beef to mix the garlic evenly by adding the garlic now we don't have to worry about the garlic burning cook until the beef is about 70 percent done then we add some rice wine add the rice wine to the edge of the pan so the hot pan can bring out the aroma of the rice wine after the rice wine Cooks off we will add a little bit more dark soy sauce in oyster sauce mix them well add a little bit
of water normally people add a starchy water mixture now but I have already add cornstarch when I'm marinate the beef so I'm just adding plain water here the sauce will thicken up as usual when you see the sauce start to thicken add some crushed black pepper in all the onions back to the pan give you a few stirs to mix everything together and we are done look at the color of the beef it's tender and juicy the onion is still crunchy and it smells so good well I hope you give our beef and onion stir
