YOUR FIRST HOUR IN HEAVEN | You Won't Believe What Is There

your first hour in heaven today I want to talk to you about something that has been weighing on my heart the fact that as Christians we often do not think and long for having enough for many of us we view Heaven as a place we go when all the fun here on Earth is over we do not think about it enough and when we do it is often in the context of when a person we know has a terminal illness or the death of a loved one and then after a while we forget about heaven

again but as Believers we are called to have a different perspective on heaven it is not merely a place we go to when life on Earth is done but rather it is the ultimate destination for those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ Heaven is a place where we will be in the presence of God free from sin pain and suffering so why do we not think about heaven more Perhaps it is because we are so focused on the things of this world our jobs our families our Hobbies that we forget about our Eternal

home or maybe we are afraid to think about heaven because it seems so far away too mysterious to unknown but the truth is we need to think about heaven more we need to long for it to desire it to look forward to it with joy and anticipation in Colossians 3 verse 1 and 2 Paul writes said your minds and things above not on Earthly things for you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God [Music] as Believers we are called to set our minds in heaven to think about it too long for

it as we think more about heaven we will begin to see it in a different light it is not something to be feared or avoided but rather something to be eagerly anticipated it is the place where we will be reunited with loved ones who have gone before us where we will be free from Pain and sorrow and where we will be in the presence of God forever because we don't think about heaven enough I am going to preach to you about your first hour in heaven can you imagine can you imagine what your first hour

in heaven will feel like the things you will see experience and feel we know that personal feelings will continue in heaven you and I won't be emotionless think of your greatest moment of joy and complete Euphoria here on Earth now multiply that feeling by a thousand and then you may get a glimpse of the joy you will feel during your first hour in heaven to realize I am there I am there Psalm 16 11. thou Wilt chew me the path of life in thy presence is fullness of joy at thy right hand there are Pleasures

forevermore and do you know what you realize during your first hour in heaven you will realize you have a new body Philippians 3 verse 20 and 21. but our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a savior from there the Lord Jesus Christ who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body if you suffer from any pain or sickness here on Earth during our first hour in heaven you will realize I am no longer in pain I

am no longer sick I am no longer suffering for our Lord Jesus Christ will have transformed us into a new and wonderful and glorious body Michael the Archangel won't be trying to check your blood pressure there will be no Angels running around heaven with a stethoscope there will be no ventilators in heaven there will be no hospitals in heaven there will be no headaches in heaven no knee pain joint pain or any pain of any form there will be no Angels handing out aspirins during our first hour in heaven you will realize that you are

whole you will realize that although you just died moments ago on Earth now that you have woken up in heaven you are more alive than you have ever been in First Corinthians 15 42-44 Paul writes the body that is sown is perishable and is raised imperishable it is sown in dishonor it is raised in glory it is sown in weakness it is raised in power it is sown a natural body it is raised a spiritual body our Earthly bodies are subject to Decay weakness and sin but our glorified bodies will be imperishable glorious and Powerful

they will be spiritual bodies that are perfectly suited for eternal life in the presence of God but what is perhaps even more amazing is the fact that we will be able to travel instantly in our glorified bodies no longer will we be bound by the limitations of time and space as we will have bodies that are perfectly adapted for eternal life imagine being able to travel anywhere in an instant to explore the farthest reaches of the universe to visit loved ones who are far away to experience the wonders of God's creation in ways that are

currently beyond our comprehension we will not be omnipresent but we will be able to travel completely differently to the way we travel in this natural body can you imagine how that will feel we will be able to move from world to World in an instant another thing you will experience in heaven is the feeling of being home because heaven is where your heavenly father dwells and you will finally finally finally be home where your heavenly father dwells during your first hour in heaven you will finally feel at home incomplete and utter peace complete Safety and

Security think about what it means to feel at home it means being in a place where you are comfortable when you are surrounded by people who love and care for you where you can be yourself and feel accepted for who you are that is exactly what heaven is and that is exactly what you will experience during your first hour in heaven you will be welcomed with open arms you will be surrounded by the love of God and your fellow believers and you will see the whole atmosphere of heaven will be the Holy Spirit this reminds

me of my favorite Passage John 14 1 to 3. let not your heart be troubled you believe in God believe also in me In My Father's House how many mansions if it were not so I would have told you I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there he may be also we are not just wandering aimlessly in this world trying to find our place or purpose we have a destination a place we

belong a place where we will be fully known and fully loved this world hates Believers it hates the children of God for the God of this world hates believers but during your first hour in heaven you will experience love like you have never experienced before because you will be home you will be reunited with loved ones who have passed away in the Lord if your parents have died in the Lord you will see them again you will be able to hug them again you will be able to tell them you love them again can you

imagine the reunions that you will see in heaven brothers and sisters reunited mothers and daughters together again for all eternity fathers and daughters you will be surrounded by a community of believers who share your faith and love for God you will be part of a family a home that is unlike anything you have ever experienced on this Earth this is not in the Bible but I do believe that one of the amazing things you will experience in heaven is the astonishment of being there who will look around you in eternal glory seeing your loved ones

who died in Christ with God with all of his holy angels and with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the very preciousness of Heaven the whole atmosphere of heaven will be Holiness and the Holy Spirit she will look at heaven and be amazed you are there in a place without sin without any pain or corruption with no sickness nor death in perfect bliss in perfect Holiness in perfect righteousness experiencing perfect Joy Everlasting Joy everything purely Godly everything purely lovely and I am sure you will be amazed that you are there she will be

amazed at the sheer number of angels angels that you have only read about but now you are seeing them heaven heaven will be amazing my friends look forward to it your mind cannot fathom or even comprehend the joy and complete Euphoria you will experience during your first hour in heaven to realize I am there I am there I have a new body I am finally in My Father's House [Music]
