DANIEL IN THE LION'S DEN-BIBLE STORY CHILDISH Did you know? That a long time ago a man was thrown into a den with ferocious lions? How did that happen?
Let's find out together, why. . .
MY BIBLE I WILL READ DANIEL IN THE LION'S DEN King Darius, resolved to divide the country into a hundred and twenty provinces And choose one hundred and twenty men to govern them. To ensure that everything would work out, the King he chose three ministers to control the one hundred and twenty governors. One of these ministers was Daniel and he showed soon he was more competent than the other ministers and governors.
He had so much ability that the King thought put him in charge of everyone. The other ministers and governors were so jealous They were looking for some reason to accuse Daniel of being a bad administrator, but they did not find it. Because Daniel was right and honest, and no one could accuse him of having done anything wrong.
So they told each other: We will never find cause to accuse Daniel unless it is something to do with his religion. So they had an idea. They all went together to the king and said: - May King Darius live forever!
We all come together and agree to ask the Lord to give an order that cannot be disobeyed. Order that for thirty days everyone make their requests only to the Lord. If during this time someone makes a request any god or any other man, that person will be thrown into the Lions ' Den.
Therefore, O king, give the order and sign it to that it cannot be canceled. "And of course the king agreed; He thought he was the guy! " When Daniel heard that the King had signed the order, returned home.
Upstairs in Daniel's house was a room with windows facing the streets of Jerusalem. Daniel opened the windows, knelt down and prayed, giving thanks to your God. He used to do this three times a day.
Daniel's enemies went together to his house and outside they could see Daniel praying to his God Then, very wicked, they went to the king to tell the that they had seen. They said: "O king, you have signed an order forbidding requests to be made for thirty days to any god or to any man but you. And the order also says that whoever disobeys will be thrown into the den of lions.
Isn't that right? The King replied: - True, and the order must be obeyed. Then they told The King: - But Daniel, one of the prisoners who came from the land of Judah, does not respect the Lord He doesn't even care about the order, because he prays to his God three times a day.
When the King heard this, he was very sad, because he loved Daniel very much. So you decided to save him. Until the sun went down that day, the King did everything he could to save Daniel.
But Daniel's enemies went again to the king and said thus: - You know very well that no order or law signed by the king can be canceled. Then, with great sadness in his heart, the king ordered Daniel to be brought and thrown into the den of lions. The King told Daniel: - I hope that your God, whom you serve with such dedication, will save you.
And they put Daniel into the pit, and brought a very large stone, and shut up the entrance of the pit with it. The King sealed the stone with his own ring so that, even in Daniel's case, the law would be fulfilled to the letter. The King returned to the palace, but could not eat anything and did not enjoy himself as he was accustomed to do That night he couldn't even sleep from so much worry.
When it was morning, early in the morning, he got up and ran to the Lions ' Den to see what had happened to Daniel. There, in a very sad voice, the King said: - Daniel, servant of the living God! God, whom you serve with so much dedication, did you manage to save him from the Lions?
Daniel answered: - May the King Live Forever! My God sent his angel and he shut the Lions ' mouths so they wouldn't hurt me. For God knows I have done nothing against him.
Nor did I commit any crime against you. And the King was very glad, and commanded Daniel to be taken away immediately. from the grave.
So he was taken away and they saw that no evil had happened to him, for he had trusted in God. Then the king ordered the men who had accused Daniel to be brought in. All of them were thrown into the pit.
Before they reached the bottom, the lions attacked them. So, King Darius wrote a letter to all the peoples of all nations, races and languages of the world. The letter read as follows: "Happiness and peace to all!
I command all the people of my kingdom to respect and honor the God Daniel worships. For he is the living God, who lives forever. His Kingdom will never be destroyed; his power will never end.
He rescues and saves; in heaven and on Earth He works miracles and wonders. It was he who saved Daniel, delivering him from the clutches of lions. ” And Daniel continued to be a high authority in the government during the reign of Darius We learn that we must be faithful to God in any situation We have seen that even though he was forbidden by the king, Daniel never stopped praying to God.
What about you? Have you prayed to God every day? Pray to God and ask him to help you be faithful and dedicated, just as Daniel was.
