so we've all seen those videos titled how to change your life in 6 months or how to become a new person in 90 days etc etc all those like different self-help videos that basically say you can change your life in 6 months while I don't disagree and I feel like those videos do give pretty good advice it's really hard to see how far that can actually take you so I've decided since I have nothing to lose to experiment with my own life and myself to see exactly how drastically you can change your life in 6
months first let me give you a little bit of background my name is Kiara I'm 23 years old and I graduated from college a little over a year ago I did go to film school so I graduated in the middle of a writer strike which meant that there was literally no work available at all so I had to just take whatever 9 to-5 job I could get as most people kind of did at the time since then and I feel like most people can relate to this I've been stuck in this repetitive cycle of just
working to survive and not really enjoying my life there have been a lot of times where I've tried to follow the advice of making slow and steady change changing 1% each day little by little by little but I just don't think that that fits my personality and I've gotten to the point where I feel like I need something drastic so for the next 6 months I'm going to see how far I can go pretty much starting from zero and how drastically I can change my life in these eight different areas my physical health my mental
health my image AKA like my style skincare makeup all of that my career my finances my hobbies my social life and my overall intelligence so that you can kind of follow along and we'll both see if I succeed in building my dream life or if I crash and burn let's do a little bit of research I watched pretty much as many of those change your life in 6 months change your life in 90 days videos as I could and I compiled a list of everything I learned from them and we are going to implement that
list into our plan for these next 6 months so you may be wondering what are you actually doing for the next 6 months let me show you step one before we can jump into this we need to set some goals for each one of the sections they need to be ambitious I honestly struggled with this quite a bit I wanted to stay realistic because I feel like if I set crazy goals and I don't achieve them I'm going to be disappointed in myself or I'm going to quit before I get started but I know if
I made my goals too realistic it would only limit me so I feel like it's better for me to set really unrealistic out their goals and give myself the confidence that I can achieve them I feel like if I'm changing my life in 6 months the goals have to be really ambitious right I think some of these goals are a little far-fetched but I think that's the point cuz we're trying to do like the max right so let me show my revised set of goals for physical health I want to lose 40 lbs I want
to increase my flexibility and Mobility visually I should be exactly what I want at the end of these six months mental health I want to increase my confidence literally in the beginning of this I was like I don't know if I'll be able to hit these goals so we want to like get rid of that finances this is where I feel like the big goals come in I want to make $100,000 in the next 6 months even like saying that feels weird like I feel like it's like it's just like I feel like I'm just
like saying things whether I hit it or not well we'll see but also I want to quit my 9 to5 job so I want to make $100,000 doing things that aren't working 9 to5 I don't know if we'll actually hit that what I do think I can do is aim for that and like worst case scenario like I make more money there's no losing in that scenario right overall intelligence I want to learn a language I think it'll be Spanish I want to increase my attention span as I'm sure is the case with many people
Tik Tok has ruined my intention span by a lot I used to be able to get through a movie now I feel like I need like a Subway Surfers like I need Subway Surfers playing at the same time for me to watch anything my career I want to have a film made and in either in post production or in festivals or if it's not fully made I need it to be in the process of being produced I want to have an extensive network of people I know in the industry which I'll do by going to
networking events and things like that I want to work on a set for a big film that I'm excited about it doesn't really matter what film just needs to be a big film and I need to be excited about it and it doesn't matter the position I could literally be a PA as long as I'm working on a big set image I want to curate my individual style I feel like I kind of have an idea of my style but like I don't dress in it literally I'm just like in a big t-shirt and jeans
right now I want to curate my makeup look so it really fits my face and accentuates my features I want to have a full like hair transformation because I've been wearing the same hairstyle for about 6 years now I'm balding a little bit because of this hairstyle so I would like to reverse that if possible and regrow my hairline we're not done yet we're almost done but we're not done yet social life I want to find my main friend group I feel like all my friends kind of moved away I want to have a few
different friend groups and just really expand my Social Circle in LA and also just generally Hobbies I want to get really good at dancing I also want to start doing art again these are the other two kind of big I don't know I don't know goals content creation has become one of my hobbies and I want to see if at the end of the 6 months I can hit 100,000 followers subscribers whatever across all my platform and I feel like if I'm really consistent and I work really hard I could potentially maybe get close to
that we'll see and then I want to get invited to one like content creator event obviously some of these goals are kind of like wild considering I'm starting from like essentially zero but I literally have nothing to lose we'll see well that's bright you can't have a clear mind to be able to do everything you want to do if your environment looks like this the second thing that we're going to do we are going to do a full declutter and clean of my room 5:00 p.m. so this is going to take the rest of the
day likely I wonder if I change my number would you want to know it's the coldest kind of comfort that we could talk but we don't we SP summer swimming in the sunset take color crazy how fast it call you first thing I'm going to do is take progress photos so I'm going to take super detailed photos so I can get progress on literally everything I'm doing physically so I'm going to take full I guess this is 180 of my skin my hair of my body obviously literally everything so I have something to reference when
I'm done I feel like the hairline photos are a little humbling but that's okay now for the most humbling one the body photos now I'm in a much tighter outfit I'm going to go in front of the mirror so I can see a little better I'm going to go ahead and take all my measurements I'm also wearing shorts to make it a little easier usually like the best way to take measurements is just like without any clothes but I'm not doing that on camera obviously let me cover it back up the bald spots I technically
did this when I first started my weight loss Journey this was in July right now I'm also a little bloated because my period started today so I don't know if this is the best time to take measurements we're going to take them anyway okay so I have all my measurements written down and I'm going to take before and after photos of like my full body progress photos are finished the beginning measurements are finished and on to the next thing I spent a good chunk of today looking up side hustles and what I could do let
me let me go over my findings with you so here are options that I found that seem realistic and like you can I can just start them without putting in a lot of investment in the front end first of all tell me why when I was looking this up why does every single person on Earth ever have a course or an ebook on how to do side hustles like don't don't buy those it's like the biggest waste of money ever there was so many people that were like oh this is how you like build a
YouTube channel this is how you do this and then you go to their YouTube channel and their whole channel is about how to build a YouTube channel and they don't have any actual subscribers of their own except for the one they've gotten saying how to build a YouTube channel it's like how do you know how to do that if you've never done it anyway option number one digital products but not courses and ebooks cuz I don't know enough on anything to sell a course or an ebook two stock videos not like stocks like investment stocks
like stock footage like the random like people running around in the field I went to film school I can do that three coaching or tutoring in said Fields like film or like tutoring high school kids or College Prep or anything like that for print on demand five ugc creation six just regular stock Investments seven affiliate marketing and eight remote task websites which I think are just training AI so I'm not really sure but the one that seemed the most like I can do it well was digital products because I spend a lot of time on
notion and I have a whole lot of templates that I've made for myself so I realized I can just share those so that's what we're going to try and do to start off at least I'm going to tweak my notion templates a bit because I feel like right now they're very tailored for me whereas I need to tailor them for other people that's what we're going to do with that and I will let you know how it goes so this actually ended up taking literally forever so I will show it in episode two so the
last thing I want to do today is figure out what hobby I'm going to be focusing on I'm going to make a full list every single hobby that I want to learn figure skating don't think I can do it but I'm interested in it art what else interested in video games I like video games dancing is a big one cooking baking what else am I interested in sewing SL fashion design uh I'm really into building Miniatures nail art interested in that as you can see I have a long way to go that could be fun
okay I have all the Hobbies listed there's too many to name so I'm not going to name them all now I need to pick a top three to focus on on for this challenge maybe I should do like top four I don't know I'm realizing hobbies are kind of expensive they I don't know they're all like good so I'm like I don't know which one to choose okay top three I'm going to choose top three okay I've narrowed it down so now we have art SL painting SL sculpting dancing Miniatures playing guitar and volunteering volunteering
I think is my number one dancing is number two I think art is number three those are the Hobbies so now I'm going to figure out where to volunteer cuz that sounds so fun cuz I saw somebody who said they volunteer at Art Museum and like that seems super cool I feel like my eyes are exhausted from staring at screens all day but I just applied to a volunteer program that seems pretty cool it's like with a like a travel like company kind of thing they had a lot of like rules and regulations so I
don't want to say exactly who it's for I feel like that the stuff that they have is like a lot of like leading tours around the city and like you can lead like Pub tours and like really cool stuff like that so I feel like it'll be fun and a cool way to like meet new people like that are traveling from around the world and I feel like I'd learn a lot from that so I've applied for that and we will see if I hear back from them but I'm exhausted right now so I'm going
to go make some dinner and get ready for bed [Music] [Music] [Music] okay so I'm supposed to take a cold 2 to 4 minute shower but it's cold outside and I'm freezing so I'm not going to do that but I am just going to take a regular shower maybe I'll do the cold showers in the summer but not not right now it's too cold it's too cold even in La it's too cold [Music] I don't know about you guys whenever I go shopping I tend to just walk into a store kind of pick out what
looks interesting try it on and be like yeah yeah this is fine then buy it however if I'm trying to curate my style now and make sure that the clothes that I have are actually fashionable and go together and fit the style that I want in my head I need to know what I'm going to buy before I buy it so today I'm going to do some virtual window shopping collecting all the random clothing items I have saved and putting them in one list so that whenever I'm like oh I'm I want a little retail
therapy I want to buy something I'll just buy something from that list or something that looks similar to the stuff on that list so that my clothes are actually the clothes I want I have my laptop I have my little pea hummus snack and I'm so ready because I love shopping so I'm going to go through try to discover some new brands let's get [Music] started why is everything that's so cool so expensive like almost everything I've added is above $50 per piece like they're so cute but like I don't know if I can pay
$100 $ per piece of clothing I just don't think I can do that so essentially what I'm doing is just going through my pinest and a lot of times I'll save things that are technically like shoppable so I'm clicking those or looking at the the outfits that I think are really cool and looking at the comments and seeing if somebody saying where it's from and then if I find a brand that I like I'm just kind of scrolling through all of their clothes and seeing like if they sell a lot of stuff in that same
style and then saving all of it so that I have it and can reference it even though it's all so expensive so I don't know how much I will ever buy but fun to it's fun to imagine also how so many of these are already sold [Music] [Music] out first IS F [Music] I used to use this all the time and then I ran out and so I stopped but I've started getting a little bit of texture on my forehead and then around my chin area the peeling pads are coming back out what the last
time when I had these they got with pretty much all my [Music] texture I got on my [Music] eye for tip if you want more intense results from this literally just put Vaseline on top every time I put Vaseline on top with this in the morning all the dead skin comes off and it's super easy I also use a Q-tip to apply it because I don't like cleaning that little thing that they give you to put it on with and then I use one side for the lip mask and then the other side for the
[Music] Vaseline give it a gentle squeeze on the other side with your right hand on the floor to the you may choose to keep your today I put effort into my appearance clearly I have my makeup done enough I put jewelry on let me show you hold on these are the I wore my rings ignore the nail polish because I haven't I haven't taken it off yet I just haven't had time I I put effort in today and now that I'm home there's two things I need to do uh one if I want to lose
weight I need to eat in a calorie deficit because that's just like the way you lose weight so in order to do that I need to calculate that calorie deficit and then I need to calculate how much water I need to be drinking because I am very dehydrated on a regular basis I never drinking a FL so the first thing we're going to do there's a ton of different ones out there but I'm just going to look up like a calorie deficit calculator to lose weight this one I've already used before for and you just
put in your age and like your physical activity level I don't really work out like move much at work cuz I kind of just like sit at a desk so you kind of fill out all the stuff they have here you put your height your current weight your goal weight how much you want to lose and it tells you the amount of calories that you need to get there now it says my like what does RMR mean I don't know what that means resting metabolic rate okay so the amount of calories I burn without doing
anything is 1469 what does TDE mean t pde is total daily energy expenditure so it's the amount of energy I I use in a day and they said it's hard to measure because it varies day by day so this is probably not ACC so it tells me how many calories if I ate a certain amount of calories per day how much time it would take me to lose the weight so we need 6 months 1,500 calories a day gets me there in 6 months which is May 2nd so I'm going to do the 5.51 and
just do 1450 cuz I think the challenge ends end of April so if I could lose the weight before the end of April that would be great 1450 calories a day and what I do is I'm just going to use my fitness pal not to not to bring out some Middle School trauma for myself literally you could just put I'm just going to put the like amount of calories in a day I've been like tracking my food already so now every day I just have to eat under 1450 and if I track it it's like
not very hard and it'll just lose the weight naturally so as long as I keep them with my walks and my workouts this will be good I think if I start working out significantly more I'll need to change this so that I don't like starve myself but outside of that great so now I need to figure out how much water do I need in a day it says I should drink 12 glasses of water a day which is 29 l how many l is this 28 Oz I need to drink 99 oz so this is
28 so see so I need to drink three and 1 half of these every single day right now I probably average drinking two of these a day on a good day so three and 1 half of these a day that'll get me hydrated which will in turn help my skin and my hair and my everything else can't really do anything if your body's dehydrated that is what we're going to do with that also I don't know if it's from staring at a screen all day or that I've been working too hard I already exhausted I
feel like my brain is dead which to be fair the election was yesterday so you know but like my eyes are like I don't even I don't know if you can tell my eyes are like kind of like swollen and red like I don't have a whole lot of energy I have like headaches all the time I think it's just from like staring at a screen for like 10 to 12 hours day like cuz you stare at a screen for 8 hours a day at work and then you come home and you stare at another
screen to like take your mind off of the other screens you were staring off so it's just it's just too many screens so I think I need to take a break from this screen and look at that screen maybe I just need to take a screen break entirely maybe one of these days I'll do a no social media no phone maybe that'll be helpful maybe that'll be insightful anyway that's how we're doing right now very tired I think maybe I need to give myself a selfcare night or day or something to like decompress cuz I
think I'm pushing myself a little too hard and if I burn out the whole challenge is screwed so I'm I got to I got to balance it out I got to figure it out I also made a full list of everything I need to do every week and it's a little insane and I Tred to do my first digital product today I tried to make my little notion like I already have the no a notion that I use and I tried to like adjust it so other people could use it and oh it was so
much it's so much work so that that'll happen when it happens but it'll be nice if I can get set up to get like some extra income yeah and that's all for now I'm I'm literally so I'm so exhausted can you see in my eyes I'm so I'm so tired I can't [Music]
