Hippos, with their massive bodies and sharp teeth, are a feared opponent. In one bite, they can split an adult crocodile in half. They have powerful jaws, and their canines, which can reach 50 cm in length, are their most dangerous weapon.

Even in the face of a lion attack, it is a creature that does not give up easily. It is important to be powerful in order to win a fight. Wildebeest are very powerful animals that can injure even a lion.

The reason early trophy hunters included the African buffalo, as one of the big five is that they were considered to be one of the most dangerous species to hunt. Buffalo in herds are placid, although some of the old bulls in the herds tend to be easily angered and prone to charge when disturbed. Large herds are usually very relaxed and unlikely to attack. But a buffalo is still not an easy opponent for a lion.

The explanation for this is that an adult lion weighs 400 to 500 pounds, while an adult buffalo weighs 1800 to 2500 pounds. A lion can only defeat an adult buffalo by obtaining a hard bite on its throat or windpipe, which can only be accomplished when the buffalo is knocked off its feet. A lion, on the other hand, will never be able to overcome an adult buffalo off its feet.

The buffalo are so strong that they can easily fling lions into the air. Giraffe kicks are known to be deadly. Given that a giraffe’s legs are longer than most humans are tall, at six feet long, it’s perhaps unsurprising that they can generate a lot of power.
