today I'm going to talk about why starting YouTube channnel is an absolute brilliant idea even if literally no one watches because I used to struggle with that a lot and I know a lot of aspiring content creators struggle with this too you put in so many hours of editing scripting filming out your videos and a literally 100 to 200 people watch your videos and the only person who comments on your videos is your is your brother or your mom that was at least my case in the beginning also one welcome back or if you're new
here hi my name is David I'm a law student living in Germany but this year I started my own social media business while maintaining my law school path and I know the struggle of starting a YouTube channel and getting no recognition whatsoever for your content you feel like all of this work is literally for nothing and you're just wasting a bunch of time let me give you a quick overview of my personal YouTube Journey exactly one year ago I already had a channel and it's called wisdom nuggets unlocked fun fact you can actually still look
it up on YouTube because I still have it published there it's a reminder for myself that if you just stay consistent you can actually succeed with whatever you're trying to do on that whole Channel I posted 15 videos and only had 42 subscribers I put in so many hours of editing it was like a podcast type of format talking about business and I invited people from my personal Network to be on that show but the crazy thing is like nobody literally cared and after 15 videos I eventually gave up a lot of people in my
personal Network also told me that it's kind of cringe like oh David is trying to become like a successful YouTuber who does he think he is so after that kind of incident I thought okay maybe I'm not destined to be a YouTuber however this year I decided to try out short form content so Instagram and Tik Tok and I made huge progress on that within just a few months I agree from zero to over 30,000 followers on Instagram and that gave me a lot of motivation to tackle YouTube again this year and although in the
beginning I had the same problem again that nobody literally watched my YouTube videos this time I went through a sort of mindset shift YouTube is super overwhelming especially in the beginning I was afraid that people in my personal Network and Social Circle would judge me again like they did in the past and certainly they did still to this day I get a lot of comments telling me how cringe sort of my content is and I should focus on my law studies instead of posting silly videos on the internet you also constantly compare yourself to these
huge YouTubers who just like put in so much money into their production value that in comparison to their videos your videos just seem like a low quality production however despite all these challenges I still believe that starting a YouTube channel is absolutely brilliant and this yapping video is probably not going viral because I'm not actually putting a lot of effort into editing I just want to talk to you directly authentically and if this video can only help one other Creator in my shoes back then then I would already consider this video a huge success so
the first reason why you should start a YouTube channel is that YouTube is literally for everyone you hear this excuse a lot oh I'm too old I'm too young to start YouTube oh I'm in this very tiny Niche probably no one would even care about this thing but I want you to ask yourself truthfully and answer this truthfully is there a old YouTuber on the internet that is successful yes there's a ton of older YouTubers really successful because they target older audiences as well is there an Asian content creator on the internet successful again yes
a lot of Asian creators are really successful is there a black YouTuber on the internet successful yes a bunch so realize that all of these excuses that you come up with are limiting beliefs and they stem from fear fear of judgment fear of your own abilities that you might not be good enough but you have to have the conviction in yourself that if other people can do it you can do it too so regardless of your age your gender your nationality your race whatever you can post on YouTube because YouTube is literally for everyone YouTube
was created to learn from other people and to share your own thoughts and lessons onto a platform that everyone can access I massively increased my English ability actually English is my third language So speaking English has been a challenge in the past but now I'm speaking pretty fluently and I can tell any story I want to in a foreign language which is absolutely cool to me another thing I want to always remind myself of is that it may sound cheesy but you can change another person's life through your videos and you might be thinking oh
it's not really realistic only 100 to 200 people watch my videos and I put in so much effort nobody cares but like think about it 100 to 200 people in a room how many people would that be that's still a lot of people and if you can just change one other person's life through your video maybe encourage them maybe give them a new insight maybe motivate them then you would have already done a good service of being a good human being I can tell you from my own experience that whenever I get one positive comment
of saying oh my God your video was so helpful thank you for posting this video it basically out shadowed Shadows all of these hate comments all of these comments that tell me I'm cringe because I realize that I can actually make a difference in another person's life it's huge don't underestimate this power ask yourself what if what if that actually works out what if I actually help another person what if I actually blow up and what if I actually monetize at some point a lot of people have so little conviction in themselves and confidence in
themselves that they don't even think about the positive benefits they only think about all the things that could go wrong well ask yourself what could go right whatever age you currently are it's never too late or too early to get started they always say the best time to start a YouTube channel was 10 years ago and I think like if I would have started 10 years ago I would probably be way more successful by this point but the second best time to start a YouTube channel is today if you remember what I said in the
beginning exactly one year ago I had a YouTube channel that only had 42 subscribers after posting 15 videos this channel after Just 4 months of posting consistently is now at over 15,000 subscribers I get positive comments out of my videos every single day give giv me a feeling of joy and fulfillment and also besides law school this is a way how I can express my creative Outlet more and more and the best thing is I also got monetized so I can basically earn money by helping people creating beautiful videos and just yapping in front of
the camera this is the possibility if you stay consistent if you don't actually give up another benefit of YouTube and this is not a benefit for anyone else but yourself you will literally document your life think about how cool it would be in 10 years to look back at all of these videos that you currently created last year I lived in South Korea and living in South Korea was literally the best time of my life and I'm so glad that it documented every single day of that journey and it's sort of like going into a
time machine back to that time because you literally immerse yourself with the same experience by watching the footage I think I've said everything I wanted to say I hope you start your YouTube channel for the sake of other people for the sake of yourself for the sake of your future yourself and I can't wait to see what kind of content you come up with peace out and I see you in the next video
