if you want to build a business that makes you rich who should you sell to that's a really good question and I'm going to tell you what I believe the people who who I believe the people the organizations and the businesses that you need to sell to if you desire to be rich and it's so cool because it's so simple and it's the exact opposite of what comes natural so if you want to be rich the first thing you want to do sell to rich people people why cuz we when we desire something we don't
hesitate to buy like we like price price is just it's just it's just an incidental it's an in incidental like sell to rich people if you can figure like if you're going to sell real estate sell real estate to rich people you'll get rich faster in that business if you're going to sell insurance sell Insurance and financial services to rich people you say but rich people have money they don't need insurance okay well if anybody needs insurance it's it's us right so and and and we need insurance to because we have more assets and those
assets need to be protected with some kind of contingency protection and so if I were going to sell a life insurance or financial services to rich people I would sell it to them from the perspective I wouldn't sell it to them like I wouldn't just I wouldn't punch them directly in the face with hey you want to buy some insurance what I would do is I would create a business that teaches rich people how to teach their children not to squander their wealth right so why because and then I would show them how they can
use insurance as one of the mechanisms to do that one of the problems you have when you're selling is that you want to talk to people about stuff you care about not realizing that they don't care about what you care about at all I I don't mean they don't care that much they don't care at all about what you care about so you talking to people about stuff you care about is wasting your breath and their time I'm just telling you Jesus like the Son of God who walked on the earth when he came down
he had a great message repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is in hand you know what he did before he gave them what he knew they needed he gave them what they knew they needed that's called a clue and you want to go out there and you want to talk to people about all the stuff you care about and then you act like there's something wrong with them because they don't care about what you care about but the problem ain't them baby the problem is you and the problem that you have is that you lack
empathy so much that you want people to have empathy for you while you're selling to them they don't like you that much they don't like me that much either that's why when I'm talking to other people I'm talking to them about stuff they care about instead of attempting to get them to care about stuff I care about because they don't like me that much and I at least I know it I'm not confused by it right if I were selling cars to rich people I would sell them highend cars if I going to sell cars
I would only sell highend cars like I I wouldn't even I wouldn't like me personally why because there's more Market up in high-end cars a car that cost I I don't even know how much cars cost to make this says a car that cost $35,000 to make that sells for $40,000 they got a whole bunch of people got to get paid out of that five grand but a car that cost 100,000 that sells for 400 grand baby wait a minute there's a whole lot more profit up in here are you tracking so so sell to
rich people one because rich people have the ability to pay that seems like an oversimplification doesn't it but it's not rich people have abil ability to pay we have a willingness to pay and we don't we don't generally like squabble over price it's so cool I found my Rolls-Royce I found how much it was I paid for it found my wife's Escalade found out how much it was I paid for it for it like but what I'm not all I'm saying is if you will figure out a way to sell things to rich people that
make their lives better so but in order to do that you've got to obsess over the problems rich people have but because potentially because you've not been Rich yet you might be living under the delusion that rich people don't have problems but they don't have problems they're rich no no no they have bigger problems and bigger problems are more expensive to solve how cool is that I bought this building when I bought this building when I first bought this building that we are in right now um like when you'd have the air conditioner on and
you came in here for any length of time there was so much particulate in the air that when I left I could feel it in my eyes you remember that don't you Mark it's like so what did I have to do I had to call serpro to come clean out all the duck work in this building that was like I don't know $7 8,000 but what difference does it make if I don't want stuff in my eyes when I come in here and I don't want other people to get stuff in their eyes guess what
I just got to pay the money right so like I don't know that I can give you a whole lot better advice than sell stuff to rich people but I got some advice that may not be better but it's just as good right so sell to rich people that's one um sell to people who are transformation Seekers what is that somebody who's looking for something they don't currently have so now all transformation Seekers aren't rich but most transformation Seekers adult most adult transformation Seekers have 97 to $997 and they're seeking a transformation when I got
started I started selling to network marketing transformation Seekers I want you to think about that they had little organizations and they made little checks every month they wanted to have bigger organizations so they can make bigger checks and I said if you buy this it'll teach you out of a bigger organization so you can have bigger checks how much do this cost well my first offer was 147 then eventually got the 497 eventually I had like a 9.97 right guess what if you sell a th000 packages for $997 that's 900 70,000 you 30,000 away from
a million so like 30 more packages congratulations you're there this seems like an oversimplification but I'm telling you if you are a fitness trainer sell Fitness training to people who are seeking to transform their bodies if you are in relationship counseling sell transformation to people who have strains in their relationship it's so simple if if you're a business consultant like I am figure out how you can teach business owners how to scale their businesses now fortunately for me I figured out how to tie the two top ones together sell to rich people and transformation Seekers
and so when I'm selling to businesses I sell to businesses that are doing big business but they'd rather do bigger business I'm going to tell you who's more excited about making more money than poor people rich people are way more excited about making more money that we don't need I'm just I'm telling you you say well why are you more ex why are you so excited because it's like a game it's like it's like we don't want to make the money for the money's sake we want to make make the money for the sake of
playing the best game we can play and maxing out yet another area of Our Lives oh Isn't that cool maxing out an area of my life hm how healthy do you want to be my as healthy as I can how fit do you want to be as fit as I can how rich you want to be not that rich just Rich enough to be comfortable no I want to be as rich as I can I want to leave my kids my grandkids as much physical monetary and spiritual and emotional wealth as possible and you might
think that's bad I'm going to let you play in that mud puddle by yourself and so so I figured out what if I can help business owners whose businesses are stuck at 50,000 to 500,000 a month their business like like their their business is stuck wrap your mind around this these are business owners their business is stuck at 50, to 500,000 a month but yet they're smart enough to know they're stuck I heard a choir sing when I said that that was great do do you understand this is why I have clients who are $350,000
a year clients this is why I have clients that are million dollar a year clients why because I found out that people can be stuck at higher levels and people who are stuck at higher levels like being stuck less than people who are stuck at lower levels oh snap so selda transformation Seekers there are so many different transformation seekers in the world like what kind of transformation like I didn't re I wasn't it's so weird how this happened like I decided one day based on something I read in a book about music I was like
oh music is like Hebrew the language Hebrew language the more I understand Hebrew the better I understand life the more I understand music the more I understand life I need to master the guitar it's an instrument I already know how to play so I'm going to master it and so I bought out of the gate an $88,000 for the first year was $88,000 for my guitar course in the second year no no that wasn't for a year that was for 6 months and then for the next 6 months it was $6,500 but I'm going to

that course I've still bought other books and other courses since then why I'm a transformation Seeker transformation Seekers can't stop buying things that they believe will get them the transformation sooner are y'all tracking so sell to transformation Seekers um sell to people who are in a high emotional state The Sounds May that sounds so manipulative okay you didn't make them in a high emotional state you didn't put them in the state they just in it like I think I think back to my daughter's wedding and how much money we [Laughter] spent I was in a
high emotional state sad but true sad but true do you know why funerals and caskets and all that stuff cost so much because people are in a high emotional state that's why it cost so much there's so much markup in the death business and that's not fair I'm going to let you deal in Fair I'm going to deal with what's there and what's there is there's a lot of markup in the death business you're like I just the per the the the only person who is not at the funeral is the person in the casket
and we want the casket to be beautiful for them they don't care they don't care no no don't care maybe they would have cared but right now they don't care they ain't there but our emotions are so high they can charge us whatever they want to charge us we don't even question it I'm not saying that that's right I'm not saying it's wrong either I'm just saying it is the it is what it is and when people are in a high emotional state like when their emotional state is charged those are good people to sell
to if you want to get rich like think about it who needs who what human being needs a $100,000 car or $200,000 car or $400,000 car what human being needs that none not one single solitary human being needs a $100,000 car so why do we buy them why CU we're in a high emotional state oh man I like the way that looks it's so cool it looks so cool it looks cool for about a month and then after that it just looks like your car looks like point A to point B so sell to people
in my high most these These are sell to these people you want to get rich sell to rich people sell to transformation Seekers and sell to people who are in a high emotional state sell to these businesses to get rich you want to get rich sell to these businesses number one sell to businesses that require your product or your service in order to do business what does that mean that means if you sell Furniture to furniture stores you can get rich why because they cannot afford to run out of furniture this is so good if
you sell digital marketing tools to digital marketers you can get rich I've got a friend owns 100 million doll software company why because he sells software to people who build websites that sell stuff online funnels sorry didn't mean to call websites that's another thing you got to do you got to create your own language right funnels okay anyway I'm I'm not making fun of that because I'm just aware of it right um if you sell um automobile parts you do well to sell automobile manufacturers why they have to have your parts this is why companies
like Bosch and companies like um companies like Firestone are multi-billion dollar companies because they sell products to people who have to have those products in order to have their business see but you didn't think about that right you didn't think about the fact okay if if I go find a business that requires a thing in order to stay in business and I sell to them I can get rich like I maybe you have thought of that maybe you haven't I don't know but if you haven't I'd recommend you start thinking about sell to businesses that
charge premium prices why because if they sell if they charge premium prices it'll be easier for them tojust ify your premium price to them oh snap it'll be easier for them to justify your premium price to them and watch this it'll be easy for them to pay your fee with fewer sales how cool is that for instance let's say let's say you sell leads like did you know there are businesses that all they sell is leads leads did y'all know that and they make millions of dollars just selling leads okay so let's say there's a
cosmetic surgeon and let's say they do their cosmetic surgeries range from $3,000 all the way up to 20,000 but let's say their average of all their sales is $8,000 and right now they're currently doing about 10 sales a month they're doing 880,000 a month in Revenue if you say hey I'm going to generate qualified leads for you and I'm going to generate 300 leads per month and you only have to pay me $6,000 a month which means they only have to make one sale out of those 300 leads so it could be 100 leads it
could be 60 leads they only have to make one sale in order to pay for those and then everything else they make after that is profit so what if they take their business from doing 10 sales a month to doing 15 sales a month and they're only paying you $6,000 and now they're doing $120,000 a month in Revenue because you came along and then you go find another cosmetic surgeon in another town and do the same thing you do that across 10 Towns now you're making 60,000 a month you see how this works so instead
of thinking I've always wanted to start this business because my my grandfather was a baker so I want to start a bakery that doesn't mean anything that's not good business sense I'm sorry I got a little worked up but that's not logical that's nonsensical you got this emotion around this business you think that's a good reason to start a business because you feel good about it cuz your grandfather did it or your grandmother did it that's not a good reason figure out something business business is way too hard just to build a business to get
by okay so sell to businesses that require your product to do business sell to businesses that sell for premium product uh sell their that charge premium prices attorneys I've got a past client this guy has a business did $25 million last year teaching attorneys how to do marketing as attorneys and he's not even an attorney your maybe the problem with your business money is your business model that could be the whole thing like you just you just selling the wrong thing to the wrong people maybe that's it because business only has three functions right there
are only three functions of business you know that right you want me to tell you what they are yes okay just want to be sure I don't want to be wasting your time okay number one innovation what is innovation creating or sourcing a product that the marketplace is screaming for that's good Innovation creating or sourcing a product is innovation creating or sourcing a product that the marketplace is screaming for is good Innovation right so Innovation number two is marketing that's the Art and Science of discovering and developing in other people a desire for more and
more of your product your service or your opportunity so what you're doing is now you've innovated this thing you go out in the marketplace and you discover and other people a desire for that thing and ideally do the marketing first to figure out what the people are looking for and then go innovate that and then last one is money management and money management means I'm managing my cash flow so that my outgo does not exceed my income so my upkeep does not become my downfall and so what happens is now I built a successful business
but I need all three of those components and so instead of starting a business in here which is all always a bad idea did y'all hear me on YouTube always a bad idea start your business out there in the marketplace look for problems that people have that they desire to be solved don't look inside I've always wanted to solve this problem that's nice but nobody is willing to pay you to solve that problem okay so um and then lastly sell to businesses that desire an upgrade in their image so what does that mean get businesses
to buy your offer because it makes them look better there are businesses who just have bad images and they will buy products from certain businesses just because it improves their image in the marketplace which brings me to the last group so we talked about people to sell to we talked about businesses to sell to now let's talk about organizations to sell to one of the like you want to get rich sell to nonprofit organizations and I know the sounds terrible but I'm going to say it anyway cuz it's real okay nonprofits are paying for stuff
with money they got from other people it's easier to spend that doesn't make them bad it just is what it is it's easier to spend money that you didn't earn than it is to spend money that you did earn and they earn it from the standpoint that they raised the money I get that I went to a fundraiser in Orlando Saturday night for make awish Foundation which I think is a phenomenal organization I think it's even more phenomenal after I went to this fundraiser right fundraiser Gaya and and y'all know if y'all live in Florida
so y'all don't in YouTube y'all don't know I4 is to be avoided at all cost from Tampa to Orlando take a helicopter right okay okay okay yeah that part right so I'm like okay we're going to go to the Scala so I went played golf went out okay we're we're driving to the Scala right there's 1,200 people there there's 1,200 people there okay okay and I'm thinking to myself I'm driving to Orlando I hate driving not a fan of Orlando I hate to drive to Orlando but I'm driving to Orlando what am I doing and
and then we there was traffic oh yeah oh yeah it took almost two hours to get to Orlando to go 53 miles and then as if that's not bad enough by its own sale we get into to the parking lot of the hotel and it's one of those Orlando Hotel parking lots that has more than one hotel for one parking lot and once we get on property it took another 45 minutes to get to valet I'm thinking what am I doing and it's nighttime and I'm not a night person I don't like night I don't
like being up at night I start I'm start running my bath water at 8:30 like a good 62-year-old should at 8:30 why so I can be in the tub before 900 p.m. chillaxing in my Epsom salt yes I'm keeping it real and here I am in Orlando and I'm walking in the dough at 7:30 to this fundraiser and I'm thinking to myself what have you done to yourself son and so like they're raising money I'm like okay well I'll buy something so I bought this thing this projector to put my iPhone on and it charges
the phone that I forgot and left it there um and then they're raising money so I donated some money and so and I'm sitting with my friend and so we're just we're sitting there talking he keeps introducing me to his friends I'm thinking there are a lot of rich people in this room and while we were there that night we raised over $300,000 with an auction with with a a auction that was auctioning off donations like who wants to give 25,000 I give who else wants to give 25,000 who wants to give 16,000 who wants
to give and they just kept going and I'm thinking to myself this is amazing this nonprofit is Raising all of this money and I know for a fact that selling to nonprofits is a way to go if you can sell them something that helps them raise more money or helps them accomplish their mission cuz these nonprofits buy stuff from people right well so okay let me let me let me paint this in the most ridiculous picture possible it's GNA it's going to emphasize the point I know a guy his name is Matt I won't say
his last name he wrote a book for a nonprofit for mothers like for expectant mothers and I don't remember the name of the nonprofit but it was a nonprofit so he wrote a book that they could sell as a fundraiser and I'm at least 137% sure that this man has never been pregnant but he wrote a book called The maternal journal and this nonprofit organization bought two million copies from him 2 million copies of the maternal Journal that was written by a dude who didn't have any kids and had never been pregnant I rest my
case your honor the defense rest okay so so so um sell to nonprofit organizations sell to educational institutions educational institutions oh I had a nonprofit I don't if it's going to go through or not I had a nonprofit offer me a quarter of a million dollars to fly me across the world to speak at their nonprofit fundraiser like nonprofits have money okay just wanted to let you know all right sell educational institutions colleges high schools junior high schools public schools and private schools they all have activity budgets did y'all know that they have activity budgets
they have to spend the money in the activity Budget on something it might as well be you I know speakers who make over $300,000 a year just speaking to colleges and selling colleges their books and they speak at colleges the college might pay them 5,000 10,000 15,000 and then the college might buy a copy of the book for all the students who come to the assembly out to educational institutions see one of the things I figured out about writing books a long time ago which was very beneficial to me is it's way easier to sell
books in bulk than it is to sell books in onesies this book right here you've heard me talk about the fact I've sold over 175,000 copies you youall heard me talk about that I'm going to let youall know a little secret I sold a 100,000 copies to one business I gave him a discount but still 100,000 copies they bought a 100,000 copies of this and they bought 200,000 copies of my newspaper that I used to produce say what are you saying I'm saying like sell that was to that wasn't to an educational institution that was
to a business but colleges have paid me colleges have paid me to speak at their colleges I don't even have an undergraduate degree but colleges have paid me okay cool just wanted to let y'all know okay and then lastly my favorite the one I'm working on right now sell to the government you want to get rich sell to the government like sell to the government why do we sell to the government because talk about people who have a bunch of money that they didn't work for They confiscated it from us now I I don't mind
paying taxes I don't mind paying a reasonable amount of taxes to a government that exists for the purpose of protecting and serving I don't want him doing anything else I don't want him Protec Ser preserving and providing I don't want protecting and serving and then spreading their political correct minutia I could care less about any of that protect and serve and then leave me alone protect serve leave me alone do that I don't mind paying taxes I do mind paying more than is reasonable number one and I mind very much very much being a forced
unpaid tax collector for my employees what does that mean the government forces me forces me to collect taxes from the people who work for me and forces me to pay to collect them and then pay to remit them but I'm not compensated for that neither is any other employer so sell to the government sell to the government because they have plenty of money and when they run out they'll just print some more anyway and are you ready for this government organizations are incentivized to waste money they're incentivized to overpay huh what does that mean that
means that if they don't spend all the money that's been allocated to them by the federal government they don't they get less money the next time money is doed out so you might as well go get some of it some of the biggest businesses in the world got that way by selling to the government Elon Musk got I don't even remember how many millions of dollar government grant for um when he was about to lose he they had like 24 hours left got like a multi-million dollar Grant sell to the government go go on sam.gov
and look for some government contracts and then bid on them ladies if you have a woman-owned business go sell to the government if you're a minority go sell to the government but if you're neither a woman nor a minority go sell to the government that's what I'm saying I am telling you if you will do these things that I talked about today like getting rich won't be a problem and then just go do some math okay go just figure out okay I'm going to sell to rich people I'm going to sell them a $5,000 thing
how many $5,000 things do I have to sell in order to make a million dollars only2 200 huh what do you know only 200 200 is only four a week wow four a week make four or $5,000 sales a week I'm a millionaire wow what if you're offers 20,000 well if your offers 20,000 you don't need to sell as many how many you need to sell I don't know what if your offer is 20,000 you need to sell 50 is it 50 or 500 50 yeah 20,000 sell 50 it's a million dollars that's one a
week let's go see here's the problem we think it's Out Of Reach because we've never done the math to see how far to reach am I keeping it real but see I sit around like I already make millions of dollars and I'm not I'm oh yeah you make millions I make millions of dollars and I sit around and play with these numbers all the time why cuz I can I got to do something while I'm sitting around might as well play with these numbers and see how to get to the next one and see people
like oh it's so big and then they stop thinking about the only thought they have oh it's so big oh that's a lot of money and then they stop thinking about it not me how many of these do are required for me to sell to the government or sell to a big business or sell to a rich person or sell to a business that needs to own this so they can stay in B like how many of these do I need to sell I sit down and play with a math okay well that's how many
