Satan's Army prepares to attack Israel the prophecy will be fulfilled many of us have learned about the fall of Satan during the war in heaven and his present activity on Earth however there is an inevitable and unfulfilled prophecy affecting Satan in the Bible this prophecy involving Satan's Army preparing to attack Israel a situation of grave importance we read about this Pro phcy in the Book of Revelation the Old Testament contains 15 books of Prophecy but the New Testament has just one Revelation John an apostle wrote it while he was in Ephesus John and Mary the
mother of Jesus moved there together they lived out their lives in Ephesus where they were also buried Revelation was penned toward the close of the first century during that period emperor de Midian demanded that everyone burn incense to Caesar once a year on the Lord's Day people had to stand before an altar raise their hands and declare Caesar is Lord for early Christian groups this was a severe challenge their faith was evident Jesus is Lord they could not say Caesar is Lord without facing severe consequences now it was crucial to see if the Christian Christians
would firmly hold on to their faith even before this book was written people were already dying for their faith and this whole book is a guide for those willing to die for what they believe initially the word martyr just meant witness but soon it became clear that being a true witness for Jesus might mean losing your life that's why the meaning of martyr changed to someone who dies for their faith in Jesus John wrote the Book of Revelation but it's written differently than John's gospel and his three letters here's why the Book of Revelation was
given to John in a unique way God the Father gave it to Jesus then Jesus gave it to an angel that angel then passed it on to John who wrote it down for all the churches no other book in the Bible came about in such a complex way John wrote what he saw and heard and sometimes what he saw was so extraordinary that the angel had to remind him 11 times to write it all down during his Visions John was taken up to heaven where he heard various voices and choir singing and he had to
make sure he wrote all of these things down Revelation is an incredible book with a clear subject the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to Earth this event is predicted 318 times in the Bible making it the most frequently mentioned prediction The Book of Revelation covers the events that occur before during and after the return of the Lord Jesus it is here we see Satan's Army attacking Israel we see this during the Great War called Armageddon you see armagedon might sound scary and confusing maybe you've seen on a movie poster or two but this truly
is an upcoming biblical event yes Armageddon is mentioned specifically only once in the Bible in Revelation 16:16 and he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon despite this singular mention the concept is taken on significant importance in our thought and Imagination did you know know that Armageddon is derived from the Hebrew har megiddo har meaning mountain and megiddo which altogether means mountain of megiddo megiddo itself is a historical site located in modern day Israel known for its strategic importance and as a place of numerous ancient battles however in the context
of Revelation Armageddon is not just a physical location but symbolically represents the final battle between the forces of good and evil before the end of the world when people hear the word armagen they often think of big world ending events the name makes people think of a big fight between good and bad and is often used in movies and books to talk about the world ending but this name actually comes from old stories and places from a long time ago in the Middle East the connection between the apocalyptic Armageddon and the historical megiddo is profound
this name wasn't picked randomly for the end times Battle it has a lot of history tied to that area's past troubles megiddo was an ancient city located at a strategic Crossroad in Northern Israel which connected the vital trade routes of Egypt to the South and Mesopotamia to the north this geographical significance meant that whoever controlled megiddo had a distinct Advantage both economically and militarily because of its strategic importance the city became a focal point for many battles over the centuries notably the Bible recounts one of the earliest recorded battles at megiddo where the renowned judge
of Israel Deborah and her General Barack triumphed over the canite king jabin and his commander cicar in Judges chapter 5 later in First Kings 9:15 King Solomon fortified megiddo along with hazor and gizer recognizing its Paramount strategic importance megiddo is a special place with a rich history think of it like an ancient Crossroad City it was so important because many big roads passed through it because of this whoever controlled megiddo could watch over and control these roads making it a great spot for trade travel and Military advantage in the future Mido would become famous for
another reason many people believe it will be the sight of a big future battle often called The Battle of armag but that's another story in short megido was like a major highway Junction of the old times and King Solomon made sure it was under his control he knew it value and that's why he made it stronger given its history as a Battleground it's not surprising that the prophetically inclined authors of the New Testament would draw upon mido's Legacy as a metaphor for the ultimate confrontation between good and evil its history is filled with battles and
fights which makes it a good symbol for the big final battle talked about in The Book of Revelation this will be a great battle between the Great enemies of God and the good army Revelation 16:16 where Armageddon is referenced comes after God's Great judgment called the Bulls basically these Bulls are like containers of God's Wrath by this time people had done a lot of evil especially under a leader called the Antichrist the end times as foretold in the Book of Revelation where upon Humanity the world already in chaos was now about to witness the outpouring
of God's Wrath the seven Bulls of judgment the severe calamities begin the first angel carrying his bull approached the Earth he emptied its contents immediately a terrifying change occurred Those Who Bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image the very emblem of their Rebellion against the Creator were suddenly Afflicted a foul and loathsome SAR appeared on their bodies people who once proudly showed their Mark are now hurting and have Painful sores on their skin following the first bow which brought painful sores upon those Who Bore the mark of the beast the heavens prepared
for another momentous act the angel stepped forward in his head he held a bowl filled with with a mysterious liquid as the contents of the bowl touched the Waters of Earth a chilling transformation began the Clear Blue Ocean full of life began to change into a deep thick red color it looked like the dark thick blood you'd see from a dead body this change was not merely symbolic or superficial the transformation ran deep altering the very essence of the waters you couldn't hear whales or Dolphins anymore everything was still fishermen who used to happily fish
will now be shocked by the destruction towns that relied on fish for food were in trouble this reminds us of a story from the Bible where God turned the Nile river in Egypt into blood this happened because the Pharaoh wouldn't free the Israelites however the Bible's underlying message was never forgotten even in these dire moments it speaks of Hope Redemption and God's unfailing love then the angel pours the third Bowl the rivers and springs aren't spared here either they too turn into blood water the very essence of life is transformed into a symbol of death
when these judgments come the time must be very short until the return of Jesus it was the time for the fourth Bowl an angel stepped forward holding the next vessel of judgment the target of this bowl was neither the land nor the water but the very Sun that lights up the sky all of a sudden things started to change the sun which had always been a source of light warmth and sustenance was given a new and terrible power it began to Scorch the Earth with an intensity never seen before the heat was unbearable everywhere people
felt as if they were caught in an oven their skins sizzling under the Relentless fire from above the pain was intense searing through every bone every fiber of their beings and as they were scorched by the great Heat their hearts rather than turning to God for Mercy became hardened they shook their fists at the sky not asking for help but showing anger and disrespect to God the failure of men to respond with repentance shows that knowledge or experience of judgment will not change man's sinful condition those who are not won by Grace will never be
won upon the command hand of the heavens the fifth angel set forth directing his bow not to the Seas mountains or Rivers but strayed onto the very Throne of the Beast the epicenter of wickedness when this bowl was poured out it made the sun disappear turning the Beast Kingdom completely dark think of a world with no light at all where it's so dark you can't see anything this Darkness wasn't calm or SU it felt heavy and made people really uncomfortable the profound Darkness however was just the beginning of their torment the darkness of the fifth
bowl is a preview of Hell itself those under the Judgment of this fifth bowl stand as it were on the shores of the Lake of Fire you'd think in the midst of such suffering that people might fall on their knees calling out for Mercy or forgiveness even when they were hurting instead of asking for forgiveness they chose to resist God's warnings instead of calling out for help or praying they spoke with disrespect those surrounded by the unmistakable evidence of the almighty's power and Majesty their hearts remained hardened Resolute in their Rebellion the text concludes with
a somber reflection of the state of humanity at the this moment and did not repent of their deeds Revelation 16:1 then it was time for Armageddon the sixth Angel a Divine being of power and purpose held in his hand a bowl filled with God's judgment Revelation 16: 12-6 then the sixth Angel poured out his bowl on the Great River their Euphrates and its water was dried up so that the way would be prepared for the coming of the Kings from the East and I saw three loathsome Spirits like frogs leaping from the mouth of the
Dragon Satan and from the mouth of the Beast Antichrist dictator and from the mouth of the false prophet for they are actually the spirits of demons performing miraculous signs and they go out to the kings of the entire inhabited Earth to gather them together for the war of the great day of God the almighty behold I'm coming like a thief blessed is he who stays awake and who keeps his clothes that is stay spiritually ready for the Lord's return so that he will not be naked spiritually unprepared and men will not see his shame and
they demons gathered the Kings and armies of the world together at the place which in Hebrew is called harmagedon Armageddon as the water from the big Euphrates River went down what used to block the way now became a clear path the Euphrates River an extended part of the Fertile Crescent area is a significant landmark in scripture and a valuable resource in the Middle East as it runs through turkey Syria and Iraq the Bible refers to this River more than 50 times the Book of Genesis is where we are introduced to this particular River for the
very first time in the Bible in Genesis chter 2 it is stated that the Euphrates River was one of the four rivers that flowed out of the Garden of Eden the Bible says that one day the Euphrates river will dry up to make way for a king this drying up is not merely a climactic phenomenon but seems to be orchestrated divinely as a part of the unfolding events leading up to Armageddon the identity of the kings of the east in Revelation 16:12 has been the subject of much speculation and interpretation throughout Christian history The Book
of Revelation makes frequent use of symbolic language and its prophecies can frequently be difficult to understand which leaves room for a variety of different interpretations the expression the kings of the East has been analyzed from a variety of angles under the Antichrist the wickedness of man has reached its peak and it is met with God's Wrath against sin the river Euphrates drawing comes in the sixth Bowl the Romans believed that the Euphrates River served as an impregnable defense against an onslaught from the empires located further to the east in those days it stretched for a
total of 1,800 Mi 2900 km in length and ranged in width from 300 to 1200 yd massive armies from the East including those of China India and Japan were able to move Westward with relative ease once the Euphrates River had dried up and turned into a road some speculate on the reason these armies of the East come Westward some people have the notion that it is in response to a global figure known as the Antichrist who is based in Europe in the end they will engage in combat with God the drying of the Euphrates is
connected to a great War ancient Jewish hearers would have readily grasped the image of the drying of a river to invite invasion one Jewish tradition announced that a river was to be frozen to allow the invasion of Asia and some people expected God to part the Euphrates for the 10 lost tribes to return to their land but that wasn't the only thing that day after the water disappeared three bizarre Spirits appeared from a dark place they seemed to come from the dragon the Beast and the false prophet this war is clearly a demonic War here
spiritual warfare becomes a physical Warfare the spirits take the form of frogs while ancient people of God saw them as unclean Egyptians revered a frog goddess the stage was set the pieces in play and the universe held its breath the battle lines of Good and Evil were drawn clearer than ever before as John's continued he realized with deep reverence the gravity of the events unfolding he penned look I come like a thief blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed Revelation 16:1 15 this
final showdown represents more than just a physical battle it embodies the spirit spiritual warfare that has raged throughout history with Armageddon serving as the ultimate of this Cosmic conflict in the final days before the great battle of Armageddon the world would bear witness to events unlike any in its history unfolding in Rapid succession first the rise of the Antichrist the Antichrist a charismatic leader endowed with Supernatural Powers would emerge amidst political turmoil and societal Decay his rise would not be sudden but rather a calculated Ascent to power he would be charismatic persuasive and offer solutions
to the world's problems that would Captivate Nations even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders 2 Thessalonians 2:9 this scripture makes it clear that the antichrist's power and influence would be immense but they would also be rooted in deception and evil he would confirm a covenant of Peace which would allow him to gain the trust of many nations according to Daniel 9: 27 but this treaty meant to last 7 years would be broken Midway this betrayal would lead to unprecedented persecution especially toward Wards those who
oppose him and hold steadfast in their faith the false prophet and deceptive Miracles as the Antichrist consolidates his power another figure would emerge often referred to as the false prophet this individual would serve as the religious arm of the Antichrist rule directing worship towards him and enforcing his authority through religious means the false prophet as described in Revelation would have great power to perform signs and wonders and he exerciseth all the power of the first Beast before him and causeth the Earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first Beast whose deadly wound was
healed and he doeth great wonders so that he maketh Fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men Revelation 13: 12-13 these Miracles although astonishing would be deceptive in nature they would be used to convince the world of the divine nature of the Antichrist rule making descent nearly impossible and leading many astray one world order with the rise of the Antichrist and the deceptive wonders performed by the false prophet the world's kingdoms would gradually come under a single umbrella of governance the Antichrist would would control a global government uniting Nations as
they had never been United before the Bible speaks of 10 Kings or leaders who would give their power and authority to the Beast the Antichrist and the 10 horns which thou sawest are 10 Kings which have received no Kingdom as yet but receive power as kings one hour with the Beast these have one mind and shall give their power and strength unto the Beast Revelation 17: 12-13 while the world sees a time of unparalleled unity and peace those with Discerning eyes would recognize the underlying tyranny and spiritual bankruptcy this unification rather than being a sign
of Hope would be the Prelude to the final confrontation between good and evil at Armageddon as the world moves closer to to this ultimate battle it would be crucial for believers to stay vigilant grounded in their faith and wary of the pervas of deception the events leading up to Armageddon would test the faith of many but they would also serve as a testament to the prophetic truths contained within the Bible after the drying of the Euphrates what will happen to the Antichrist while he leads the Armageddon battle the people will become more dissatisfied with the
leadership of This Global dictator who has broken every promise he has made through the battle of Armageddon significant parts of the world will begin to build their own military forces in an attempt to overthrow him major world segments will begin to assemble their military forces and rebel against him the Antichrist will crush some of the initial attempts at Rebellion against the Antichrist but something happens that prevents him from achieving his aim of d destroying Israel and Jerusalem if the Euphrates river is no longer there the rulers of the Eastern lands will have an easier time
attacking the Antichrist the moment they arrive the greatest conflict in the animals of human conflict will get underway a demonstration of God's Wrath and judgment against evil the seven bows serve as a profound testament to God's righteous indignation against the wickedness and rebellion of humanity as each bowl is poured out the Earth experiences unprecedented calamities from painful sores afflicting people Revelation 16:2 to the sun scorching the Earth with intense heat Revelation 16:8 these events are not arbitrary acts of Cruelty but rather a reflection of the biblical principle do not be deceived God is Not mocked
for whatever a man SWS that he will also reap Galatians 6:7 the Bulls are direct response to man's actions emphasizing that persistent sin and Rebellion have consequences a call to repentance remarkably even amidst the terrifying unfolding of these events the heart of God remains consistent he desires repentance and Reconciliation it's a heartbreaking revelation of the stubbornness of the human heart even when faced with the undeniable power and Judgment of God many choose Defiance over repentance God's intention is never to destroy for the sake of Destruction rather his judgments are in part meant to lead people
to a realization of their need for him as second Peter 3:9 tells us the Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand sless instead he's patient with you not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance the Bulls aren't merely isolated incidents of judgment they set the stage for the grand finale of human history leading to the Battle of arm again and God's ultimate victory over evil Revelation 16:16 in essence the seven bows of Revelation are not just judgments but messages they speak of the seriousness with which God views sin
his deep desire for Humanity to repent and return to him and his promise to eradicate evil and establish his eternal Kingdom for believers they offer hope a reminder that no matter how dark the world may seem God's light and truth will always shine Victorious as you reflect on the seven bows remember that Revelation isn't just about endings it's about New Beginnings beyond the bowls lies the hope of a renewed creation where pain suffering and death are but Distant Memories for those who heed the message and turn towards the light a new dawn awaits so why
are all these important because the Bible tells us that these events are like puzzle pieces that fit into a bigger picture these things will happen as a part of God's big plan and it reminds us that God is in control of everything even long rivers and the future and that is the fascinating story of the Euphrates River from from the days of the Garden of Eden to the mysterious future discussed in the Book of Revelation the cause of this great war is Satan Jesus said a good deal about Satan he called him the enemy and
the evil one in Matthew 13:39 an enemy dislikes or despises another person and seeks to harm contradict or fight the person he is said against thus an enemy of God opposes God's presence and purposes in this world the Bible names Satan the devil as God's specific adversary as God's enemy throughout history Satan has sought to thwart God's plan harm humans and lead them away from God Scripture names many other enemies of God and his people beside Satan in the Bible an enemy of God is also referred to as an adversary or a foe anyone who
disobeys the Lord's commands is designated as God's enemy throughout the Bible the devil is referred to as the evil one 1 John 5: 19 we know that we are from God and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one Believers are in God despite most Humanity lying in Satan's power Christ Christ has come and he has imparted spiritual Insight 1 John 2:13 I am writing to you fathers because you know him who was from the beginning I am writing to you young men because you have overcome the evil one I write to
you children because you know the father Jesus also called Satan the prince of this world when Jesus was pred I in his death he made the statement now is the time for judgment on this world now the prince of this world will be driven out John 12:31 the world was about to crucify the Lord of life and glory in doing so it would condemn itself and the punishment would be passed upon it for its terrible renunciation of Christ condemnation was about to be passed on guilty Humanity the ruler of this world is Satan in an
authentic sense Satan was utterly conquered at Calvary he believed he had succeeded in doing away with the Lord Jesus once and for all instead the Savior supplied a way of salvation for men and vanquished Satan and all his hosts simultaneously the devil's sentence has not yet been carried out but his Fate has been sealed he is still going about his evil business in the world but it is only a matter of time before he is cast into the Lake of Fire when the Lord knew that the time for his betrayal was coming and that he
would not have much more time to talk with his own Satan was drawing near but the Savior knew that the adversary could find no shame of sin in him there was nothing in Christ to respond to the devil's evil Temptations it would be silly for anyone else but Jesus to say that Satan could find nothing in him I will not say much more to you for the prince of this world is coming he has no hold over me John 14:30 Satan rules a world that includes men and angels separated from God his desire is to
be like God this led to his sin and he now heads over all Rebels who like him have fallen into sin Isaiah 14:14 I will Ascend above the heights of the clouds I will make myself like the most high the name Satan means adversary or accuser he charges God's people with doing wrong Zechariah 3 verse1 then the angel showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of of the Lord with Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him 1 Peter 5:8 be sober be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring
lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour the Eternal fire is prepared for Satan at the end Satan snatches word from hearers we also see in the Bible that Satan has as Angels Matthew 25:41 then he will say to those on his left leave me you cursed ones into the Eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels demons the mission of Satan's Angels which is to take from and Destroy mankind is served by these angels the Lord Jesus Christ the one who created everything will sit in judgment over all of the
Fallen Angels for the father judges no one but has given all judgment that is the prerogative of judging to the son placing it entirely into his hands John 5:22 Satan has always opposed God's purpose but the cross finished the work for which Christ was sent on the cross Satan was defeated the future course of action and the final condemnation of demons is similar to Satan's outcome Satan and his defining angels will come to their final judgment when they are cast into the Lake of Fire Revelation 20: 10 and the devil who had deceived them was
hurled into the Lake of Fire and burning Brimstone sulfur where the Beast Antichrist and false prophet are also and they will be tormented day and night Forever and Ever from this point onwards there is never again the chance of release for either Satan or demons Satan and the demons have no chance against Christ faced with demonic opposition the cross accomplished God's glorification freed the devil's prisoners publicly routed evil spirits and sealed their judgment
