so much has changed with the YouTube algorithm and these three changes should make growing a YouTube channel from scratch in 2025 the easiest it has ever been if you have anywhere from 0 to 10,000 subscribers I think you'll like this first change the most YouTube is helping smaller channels find viewers when you're a brand new channel it's always been super hard to get promoted youd post a video that you work super hard on and it doesn't get any views but this algorithm update changes that YouTube created a dedicated team focused on helping smaller channels get
viewers but they also updated the YouTube homepage so that smaller channels get promoted always alongside big ones before if you had less than 10,000 subscribers it was pretty rare for your video to be shown next to popular creators pulling hundreds of thousands or millions of views so the biggest channels had no problem growing and the small ones struggled but now if you check your YouTube homepage you'll notice a huge difference yeah you'll still see the big creators but look at this this guy published this video 17 hours ago and it only has 65 views a
video from a smaller Channel with 65 views next to a Channel with close to 1 million and 2,000 views and as you can see I'm not subscribed to this channel matter of fact I've never watched any of his videos in my life this is just how the YouTube algorithm is working now actually on this same page every single row has a creator with less than 2,000 subscribers being promoted around creators with tens of thousands and millions I love this tweet that points out how many of these videos have low view counts showing that YouTube is
working hard to get smaller channels videos seen now this really should encourage you because if you're just getting started this means that your channel can get seen but this is not the only update that's going to help you grow YouTube is also making it easier for creators to grow bigger fan bases with this new feature that gets your videos recommended across the world you might have heard about it it's called multilanguage audio when someone clicks on your video they'll now hear it in their own language even if you originally spoke a different one now this
is just a really interesting use of AI YouTube uses AI to separate background music sounds and spoken words in your video then it recreates your voice in another language using a synthetic version that will even eventually sound like you on top of that it automatically translates your video title description and comments so that viewers in different countries can watch and engage with your video in their own language this is a huge deal because While most videos on YouTube are produced in English 80% of the world doesn't speak English at all now your videos can be
watched by a much much broader audience think about squid game it became Netflix most watched show in 94 countries a lot of its popularity came because it was dubbed in 13 languages so you didn't have to speak Korean to watch it multilanguage audio will benefit YouTube videos in the same way the creators who got Early Access to this feature have seen an enormous boost in views and subscribers right now Mr Beast has 357 million subscribers yet he shared that most of his audience doesn't even speak English like YouTube you can add different voice tracks so
like most my audience doesn't even speak English like subtitles or like actual audio track what do most your a Spanish Hindi Spanish Hindi all languages I want to hear my voice one of the reasons that his channel can get so many views and he can get so many subscribers is because his videos are not limited to English-speaking people his videos reach viewers from across the world with this update YouTube is not only helping smaller channels get noticed but they're also making it easier for your videos to show up in the search and suggested recommendation algorithm
to be watched by people around the world now the last big change that a lot of you are going to be excited about is the return of long form content now for the last few years the best strategy for growing extremely fast on YouTube has been to publish YouTube shorts before YouTube shorts we studied 3 and A2 million channels that use our browser extension and found that creators with 1,000 to 10 ,000 subscribers posted on average 152 long form videos while those with over a million subscribers had an average of a th000 long form videos
published in the past reaching a million subscribers took years of effort but then suddenly shorts graders started hitting 1 million Subs after posting just a few dozen 60c videos channels were speed running to 1 million subscribers in 6 months to a year and right now things are shifting once again we're seeing something complet different in the algorithm shorts are still popular but if you look at the top creators their videos are getting longer and longer the same YouTubers who used to publish 4 to 15minute videos are now making 15 to 30 minute videos and that's
because longer videos are just doing really well in the algorithm YouTube admitted that longer videos are doing way better now they studied their trending videos and found that since 2010 the top long form videos have gotten nearly 9 and 1 half times longer a big reason for this well more people are watching YouTube on their TVs where longer videos do better Youtube CEO Neil Mohan said the number of top creators that receive most of their watch time on TV has increased more than 400% in 2025 TV will keep growing as a way to watch YouTube
and longer videos will help creators succeed here don't feel like you need to rely on shorts to grow longer videos are doing better than ever and YouTube is doing doing more than ever to help smaller Channels with platform updates and features 2025 can seriously be your best year on YouTube and I'm excited to see your channels grow so go ahead and drop us a comment what your channel is about so I can check it out so everybody in the comments can check it out and I will see you in the next video and until next
time keep creating he
