[Music] a it was supposed to be just another ordinary day I woke up at the same time walked the same route and arrived at work like always nothing felt unusual at least not until one of my co-workers casually said something that sent a chill down my spine as soon as I stepped into the office he gave me a confused look and mentioned that he had just seen me in the elevator earlier he asked why I was coming in again at first I laughed thinking he was just messing with me but then I noticed something unsettling
in his expression I had woken up late that morning and had only just arrived at work there was absolutely no way he could have seen me before when I told him that his face shifted from confusion to something much closer to fear he insisted he had seen me he even swore that I had looked directly at him nodded and was wearing the exact same outfit I had on now a strange unease settled in my chest but I brushed it off convincing myself he must have seen someone who just looked like me but as the day
went on more people started mentioning similar encounters that afternoon another coworker stopped me in the hallway and asked why I had ignored him earlier when he greeted me near the breakroom the problem was I hadn't even been near the breakroom all day the more these strange encounters happened the harder it became to ignore the gnawing feeling that something was seriously wrong people weren't just seeing someone who vaguely resembled me they were interacting with him and then I saw him myself that night after staying late to finish some work I was walking toward the parking lot
when I noticed someone standing near my car at first I assumed it was just another employee heading home but as I got closer my entire body froze the person standing by my car wasn't just similar to me he was identical he was wearing the exact same clothes his hair his posture even the way he tilted his head slightly it was like looking into a mirror but something was horribly horribly wrong I stood there unable to move as he slowly turned his head toward me and that's when I saw it his expression he was smiling but
it wasn't a normal smile it was twisted almost predatory like he was amused by something I couldn't understand something inside me screamed that I needed to get out of there without thinking I broke into a Sprint running the rest of the way to my car I yanked the door open jumped inside and locked it as fast as I could my hands were shaking as I fumbled to start the engine my breath coming in short panicked gasps after a few seconds of sheer Terror I forced myself to look up I expected to see him still standing
outside but when I glanced in the rearview mirror my blood ran cold he wasn't outside anymore he was in the back seat I didn't think I didn't hesitate I threw the car door open and stumbled out sprinting back toward the office building as fast as I could and when I finally turned back to see if he was following me the car was empty there was no sign of him anywhere the next day no one mentioned seeing me in strange places anymore the encounters stopped as if nothing had ever happened I tried to convince myself it
had all been some kind of bizarre hallucination maybe stress maybe exhaustion but even now every time I walk past a mirror every time I catch my reflection in a window I hesitate for just a second before looking because what if one day my reflection doesn't move the way it's supposed to and what if next time it doesn't just [Music] disappear it all started on a night that should have been uneventful one of those evenings where the air felt crisp and the streets were eily quiet as if the world itself had paused holding its breath after
finishing dinner with some friends the walk home felt routine familiar the streets though mostly empty still carried the occasional hum of passing cars and distant city noise for the most part there was only the steady rhythm of footsteps against the pavement turning onto a dimly lit side street a usual shortcut an unfamiliar figure came into view walking in the opposite Direction on the other side of the road at first there was nothing particularly remarkable about him he was dressed in an outdated yet oddly formal gray suit his posture rigid yet deliberate as if each step
had been rehearsed but something about him demanded attention a presence that was impossible to ignore then without warning his movements shifted into something unnatural his body swayed in an unsettling Rhythm his limbs moving with an eerie puppet like fluidity his feet barely seemed to touch the pavement as he twisted and turned in slow deliberate Motions like a grotesque dance performed for an invisible audience it was a sight that sent a creeping unease up the spine something instinctively wrong something that begged to be ignored trying to shake off the growing discomfort the pace quickened and rational
explanations surfaced perhaps he was just an eccentric man with a strange habit an oddity to be dismissed but just as that thought settled the man abruptly stopped mid motion his body unnaturally still and then without hesitation he turned fully deliberately fixing his gaze in a way that made the air feel heavier colder that was the moment his face became visible it was human in structure but the expression it wore was disturbingly vacant yet there was something even more unsettling an unnatural grin stretched across his lips as though he found Amusement in something unspoken something incomprehensible
his hollow eyes locked with an intensity that sent a deep involuntary shutter UT through the body this was not a simple case of an odd passer by this was something else entirely and then he moved not quite a walk not quite a run his steps were calculated precise as though he already knew exactly how much time he needed to close the distance a slow deliberate Pursuit the instinct to flee was immediate eyes averted pace quickened a silent plea that this was nothing more than an unnerving but harmless encounter but then a shift in movement caught
the corner of the eye an attempt to cross the street was met with perfect synchronization he did the same mirroring every step with an unnatural Precision the situation had become undeniable this was not random this was deliberate Panic began to set in heartbeat pounding louder than the city's distant murmur each attempt to gain distance was met with flawless mimicry and then when it seemed as though Escape might still be possible the man resumed his dance his body contorted twisting in ways that defied all logic or Reason a grotesque display performed just for one person survival
instincts took over the route changed a sharp turn onto another Street the singular Focus now on reaching the safety of home the apartment was close just a few more blocks if the door could be reached locked then maybe this nightmare would finally end but just as that thought provided the faintest sense of relief the sound that had been dreaded most shattered the silence footsteps no longer gliding no no longer deliberate running faster closer there was no mistaking it now he was chasing the Sprint toward home became desperate lungs burning legs screaming in protest the world
blurred but nothing else mattered except reaching that door the street lights flickered past breath ragged heart hammering against the ribs but behind it all that sound remained relent closing in far too quickly then finally the apartment building came into view hands trembling and frantic dove into Pockets fingers fumbling for keys the door was Within Reach just a few more steps the presence loomed closer the weight of it pressing against the senses the key found the lock the door was yanked open and without a second despair the body was thrown inside the door slammed shut the
deadbolt turned and then silence for what felt like an eternity there was nothing no movement no sound just the deafening Stillness of an empty hallway and the erratic uneven breaths of someone who had barely outrun something they couldn't understand but then just as reality started to settle a knock soft deliberate the body went rigid breath caught in the throat Stillness returned a desperate hope that if no response came it would simply go away but then from the other side of the door a voice calm almost playful a single question why did you stop running and
even now long after that night there are moments when the feeling of being watched lingers when an unseen presence seems to hover just out of view and sometimes in the dead of night when everything is still there it is [Music] again I have always been drawn to the unknown the dark corners of the internet where reality and The Surreal intertwine where the lines between truth and fiction blur for years I had read countless stories about the Deep Web from chilling urban legends to unsettling real life encounters I knew the warnings I understood the dangers but
they always felt like someone else's problem until the night it became mine that night was supposed to be like any other the faint glow of my monitor cast Long Shadows across my dimly lit room as I mindlessly scrolled through Deep Web forums skimming past conspiracy theories encrypted chat rooms and bizarre discussions most of it was the same recycled nonsense I had seen before government coverups strange codes and ridiculous hoaxes but then a single post caught my eye it had no context no replies just one ominous sentence follow the White Rabbit time is running out below
it was an onion link I hesitated my fingers hovering over the mouse it was probably just another elaborate prank some cryptic bait meant to Intrigue Reckless users but something about it felt different it was as if the message had been meant for me my instincts screamed at me to ignore it I clicked anyway the screen immediately went black and for a few seconds nothing happened then a white text box flickered into existence slowly letters began to appear as if someone on the other end was typing in real time welcome are you ready for the test
a cold sweat formed on my back this wasn't a prank the screen flickered again presenting me with two options begin or leave I hesitated my hands hovering over the keyboard was this some kind of psychological experiment a social experiment maybe or was it something much worse every part of me wanted to close the window and pretend I had never seen it but my curiosity won I typed begin and pressed enter the screen changed instantly a video began playing the footage was grainy shaky like it had been recorded on an old handheld camera at first it
was too distorted to make out any details but as the frame stabilized I saw it a small windowless concrete room a single wooden chair sat in the center illuminated by a dim flickering light then something moved a figure stepped out from the Shadows tall unnaturally thin dressed in tattered stained clothing but the worst part wasn't his body it was his face a white rabbit mask the mask grotesque exaggerated grin stretched unnaturally wide and its Hollow empty eye sockets seemed to stare directly at me beyond the screen as if it could see me sitting there for
several unbearable seconds the figure stood motionless head tilted slightly staring then without warning it turned and walked out of frame the screen cut to Black new words appeared they are watching a chill ran down my spine and then my laptop's camera light turned on I hadn't touched anything my stomach dropped as my hands hovered frozen over the keyboard my pulse pounded in my ears drowning out every rational thought the screen f lied again and another message appeared why are you here I couldn't answer I didn't dare move the screen flickered once more another video started
playing this time it wasn't an empty room it was a street the footage was shaky as if someone was walking recording as they moved the distorted audio picked up faint car noises in the background and then I I recognized it my street ice cold fear gripped my chest the camera kept moving forward closing in on a familiar apartment building my apartment building this was no joke I spun around and rushed to my window heart hammering against my ribs the street below looked the same as it always did empty quiet undisturbed but just as I was
about to pull away I saw him standing just beyond the reach of the street lights motionless a tall figure in a White Rabbit mask he wasn't moving he wasn't breathing he was just staring my phone buzzed violently on my desk hands shaking I picked it up one new message run then footsteps close too close I didn't think I bolted tearing through my apartment I flung open the door and sprinted down the stairwell skipping steps nearly tripping over myself in sheer Panic the idea of taking the elevator never even crossed my mind if those doors closed
at the wrong moment I'd be trapped I didn't stop I didn't look back I ran until I burst through the building's front entrance and into the freezing night air I kept running my legs burned my lungs screamed for air but I didn't stop I didn't know where I was going I just knew I had to get away at some point after what felt like an eternity I stumbled into a dark alleyway my chest heaving my hands trembling I pressed myself against the cold brick wall forcing myself to stay quiet to listen nothing the streets were
empty no rabbit mask no footsteps no sign that anything had ever been there was it over I took a deep shaky breath and reached for my phone my hands were still trembling as I tried to unlock the screen but as soon as I did the display flickered violently then a new message appeared don't turn around a breath caught in my throat my entire body froze somewhere just behind me I heard it a soft slow inhale not mine I clenched my jaw every Instinct screaming at me to run but I couldn't move my muscles were locked
in place Paralyzed by fear then without thinking I ran I ran until my legs gave out and I never went went back I never returned to that apartment never used that laptop again but no matter how far I went no matter where I hid the feeling never left me that suffocating sense of being watched sometimes in crowded streets in Subway windows in hotel corridors I see it just for a split second a glimpse of white a mask a grin and night as I sit here writing this my screen flickers once more a final message appears
it's good to see you again
