Many of you sit here tonight caught in states of waiting—waiting for better health, waiting for financial abundance, waiting for love to enter your life, waiting for recognition, waiting for peace of mind. But I tell you, waiting is the antithesis of creation in the realm of imagination, which is the realm of God, for God and your wonderful human imagination are one and the same. There is no waiting; there is only the eternal now. Let us examine the words of scripture, for all scripture is a psychological drama taking place in the depth of your own being.
In the Book of Revelation, we read, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come to him and will sup with him and he with me.” This door is not some physical entrance but the door of real consciousness. Your miracle is knocking right now, asking for entrance into your world. Will you let it in? The great mistake that mankind makes is believing that miracles are external events that happen to us through some force outside ourselves. This is the great illusion. The truth, the absolute
truth that I am giving you tonight, is that miracles are not external happenings but internal assumptions. When you assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled, when you live from the end as though your desire were already an accomplished fact, you are performing the greatest miracle. I recall a lady who came to me in utter despair. For 15 years, she had been separated from her son; legal battles, geographic distance, and family disputes had created what appeared to be an insurmountable barrier between them. She had tried everything the external world offered: lawyers, mediators, letters, phone calls—none were
to any avail. Then she discovered this principle. Instead of dwelling in the state of separation, which only perpetuated that reality, she began to sleep each night in the assumption that her son was back in her life. She would fall asleep feeling the joy of their reunion, hearing his voice, feeling his embrace. Within three weeks after 15 years of separation, her phone rang. It was her son calling from a nearby town, asking if he could come see her. The external bridge was built because the internal bridge had been established first in her imagination. This is how
your miracle will come—not by fighting against current circumstances, not by forcing external events, but by assuming in the depth of your consciousness that you already are what you desire to be. For consciousness is the only reality, and everything else is merely its shadow. Many of you have been taught to believe that your desires are too grand, that you must be practical, reasonable, and conform to the limitations of the world around you. This is the greatest lie ever perpetuated upon mankind. The truth is that your consciousness knows no limitations, and the miracle you seek is limited
only by your capacity to imagine it as real. The Bible tells us, “All things are possible to him that believeth.” But what does it mean to believe? It does not mean to intellectually accept something as true. True belief is the complete acceptance of your desire as an already existing fact. It is when your inner conversation and feeling states are in complete alignment with your wish fulfilled. When you truly believe, you cease trying to make things happen because in your consciousness, they have already happened. I want you to understand something fundamental about the nature of your
miracle: The time interval between your assumption and its physical manifestation is merely a device of your three-dimensional world. In the fourth dimension of consciousness, where your imagination dwells, your miracle already exists in its completeness. The appearance of time is simply the movement of events across the screen of your three-dimensional world. So many of you are giving up just before your miracle manifests physically. You plant the seed in consciousness by assuming the feeling of your wish fulfilled, but then you dig it up repeatedly to see if it's growing. No farmer would expect a harvest by continually
uprooting his seeds to check their progress. Similarly, you must allow your assumption to take root in the fertile soil of your consciousness without interruption. Let me share with you another principle that is crucial to the manifestation of your miracle: What you focus on expands. If you focus on the absence of your desire, on the lack, on the waiting, on the not having, then that state of consciousness will expand and perpetuate itself. But if you focus on the presence of your desire, on the feeling of having it now, that state will expand and externalize itself in
your world. There is a story in the Bible of the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem of Jesus' garment and was healed instantly. Jesus said to her, “Thy faith hath made thee whole.” Now, who is this Jesus in the story? He is your own wonderful human imagination, and the woman's faith was not a passive hope that she might be healed someday. It was an active assumption that by touching the garment, by making contact with the power of imagination, she would be healed now—and she was. Your miracle operates by the same principle;
it requires your active assumption, your complete conviction that it is done. The world may present you with a thousand reasons why your desire cannot be fulfilled; circumstances may seem to contradict the possibility of your miracle; people may discourage you with their limited thinking. But I say to you with absolute authority: All external evidence is only the product of past assumptions. It has no power to prevent new assumptions from reshaping your world. Do not be discouraged by appearances; appearances are shadows while your consciousness is the substance. And as I tell you that... The secret to manifestation
lies not in manipulating shadows, but in changing the substance from which shadows are cast. When you change your concept of self, when you assume a new state of consciousness, the shadows must conform. Now let us speak of persistence, for many of you are on the verge of giving up. You have tried to apply these principles, but you have not yet seen the physical evidence of your desires. Perhaps you have even concluded that these principles do not work for you. Let me tell you why this conclusion is false and why you must persist. The law of
assumption is just that: a law. It is as consistent and unwavering as the law of gravity. It does not work sometimes and fail other times; it is always operating, whether you are conscious of it or not. If your desire has not yet manifested, it is not because the law has failed; it is because you have not yet fully assumed the consciousness of having your desire. There may still be contradictory assumptions operating beneath the surface of your awareness. Remember the words of scripture: “Let patience have a perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting
nothing.” Patience, in this context, does not mean waiting passively for something to happen; it means maintaining your assumption regardless of appearances until the bridge of incidence has been built that leads to the feat in manifestation of your desire. There is a perfect time for the externalization of your desire, a divine timing that human intellect cannot calculate. This divine timing is determined not by some external clock, but by the complete saturation of your consciousness with the feeling of your wish fulfilled. When there is no longer any conflict in your mind, when you have completely accepted your
desire as an accomplished fact, then the miracle must come forth. I have seen countless individuals who were on the brink of giving up, who had tried everything and were ready to abandon their dreams, only to discover that their miracle was just around the corner. Had they given up, they would have never witnessed the manifestation that was already in motion. Think of Elijah in the Bible, who prayed for rain during a devastating drought. After his prayer, he sent his servant to look toward the sea for any sign of rain. Six times the servant returned saying there
was nothing, but on the seventh time, he reported seeing a small cloud the size of a man's hand rising from the sea. From that tiny cloud came a torrential downpour that ended the drought. Your miracle may begin as a small cloud on the horizon: a subtle shift in circumstances, an unexpected phone call, a chance meeting, a new idea. Do not despise these small beginnings, for they are the first physical evidence of the massive change that has already occurred in your consciousness. When Jesus stood before the tomb of Lazarus, who had been dead for four days,
he did not pray for Lazarus to be resurrected; instead, he said, “Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.” He gave thanks before any physical evidence of the miracle was present. This is the secret: Thanksgiving in advance. When you give thanks for your miracle as though it has already happened, you are establishing in consciousness the very condition that will objectify itself in your world. Let us explore another dimension of this principle. Many of you believe that your miracle requires the cooperation of specific individuals or the arrangement of particular circumstances. You think, “If only my
boss would give me that promotion,” or “If only that person would love me,” or “If only the market would shift in my favor.” But this is to misunderstand the nature of creation. Your consciousness does not depend on any external condition for its creative power. When you assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled, the entire universe rearranges itself to make that assumption a reality. People's circumstances, events—all are merely instruments for the externalization of your assumptions. They have no power to initiate causes; they can only reflect the causes you have initiated in your own consciousness. This principle
removes all sense of dependency and victimhood. You are not at the mercy of others’ decisions or external conditions; you are the operant power in your life, and the entire objective world is the servant of your assumption. I recall a gentleman who was told by medical authorities that he had an incurable condition that would progressively worsen. The experts gave him no hope, but rather than accepting this verdict, he began to assume the feeling of perfect health. Each night before sleep, he would construct a scene implying that he was completely well. He would imagine his doctor expressing
amazement at his recovery. He persisted in this assumption despite all physical evidence to the contrary. Within six months, he returned to his doctor for tests, and to the doctor's astonishment, there was no trace of the condition. The doctor called it a medical miracle, but it was not a medical miracle; it was a miracle of consciousness. You see, the creative power does not reside in the doctor, the medicine, or any external agency; it resides in your consciousness. When you change your concept of self, you change your relationship to everything in your world, including your own body.
Now I want to address a crucial aspect of manifestation that many overlook: your miracle is not something separate from yourself. You are not trying to attract something from outside; you are awakening to the reality that everything you desire already exists within you in a state of potential. Manifestation is not attraction; it is expression. It is the out-picturing of what already exists within. Think of an acorn: within that tiny seed exists the full potential of a mighty oak tree. The oak is not attracted to the acorn. Outside, it unfolds from within, as the inherent nature of
the acorn expresses itself. Similarly, your miracle is the natural expression of the state of consciousness you have assumed. It is the oak tree emerging from the acorn of your assumption. This understanding transforms how you approach manifestation. Instead of trying to get something, you focus on being something; for what you are is what you will express, and what you express is what you will experience in your three-dimensional world. In the Bible, we read, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to
be equal with God." This is not blasphemy; it is the statement of a psychological fact. Your imagination, Christ in you, is God in action. When you assume the mind of having what you desire, you are exercising the same creative power that created the universe. Your miracle is not coming; it exists now as a present reality in the imagination. And since imagination creates reality, the feeling state you assume today must objectify itself in your tomorrow. This is law, not luck or chance. Many of you have spent years affirming positive thoughts while maintaining a feigned state of
lack. You have recited affirmations of abundance while feeling poor. You have declared health while feeling sick. You have professed love while feeling unloved. But I tell you, it is not what you affirm with your lips, but what you affirm in feeling that creates your reality; for feeling is the prayer, and prayer is feeling. What you feel, you attract; what you imagine with feeling, you become. Consider the story of Jacob and Esau. Jacob, whose name means "supplanter," covered himself with the skins of goats to simulate the hairiness of his brother Esau. When his blind father Isaac
felt him, he believed he was touching Esau and gave Jacob the blessing intended for the firstborn. This story is not about deception but about the power of assumption. When you assume the feeling of being what you want to be, even though your reason and senses deny it, you receive the blessing—the manifestation of that state. Your miracle is already yours in the invisible reality of consciousness. The only distance between you and its physical manifestation is the distance between your present concept of self and the concept you would assume if your desire were already fulfilled. Close that
gap in consciousness, and you close the gap in manifestation. Let me share with you a technique that has helped countless individuals bridge this gap. It is the technique of living from the end. Before you fall asleep each night, construct a scene in your imagination that would imply a miracle has already happened. Make the scene as vivid and as real as possible; engage all your senses. What would you see? What would you hear? What would you feel? What would you smell or taste? How would others respond to you? Create this scene with such clarity that it
feels more real than your bedroom. Then enter fully into this scene. Don’t observe it from a distance; be a participant in it. Feel the emotions you would feel if this were actually happening. Allow the joy, the gratitude, the peace, and the excitement to course through your body. Fall asleep in this state; for the subconscious mind is most impressionable as you enter the sleep state. Do this night after night, and you will begin to notice subtle shifts in your waking reality. Opportunities will appear that were not there before. Resources will become available. People will respond to
you differently. These are the signs that your assumption is taking root and beginning to objectify itself in your world. But do not make the mistake of looking for your miracle exactly as you have imagined it. The bridge of incidents that leads to your desire may take unexpected forms. Trust the wisdom of your deeper mind to bring about your desire in ways that your intellect cannot conceive. Your role is to maintain the assumption of the end, not to dictate the means. Now let us confront the great enemy of manifestation: doubt. Doubt is not the opposite of
faith; it is faith in the opposite. When you doubt, you are actually exercising faith in what you do not want. You are assuming the feeling of not having, and that assumption must objectify itself just as surely as the assumption of having. The antidote to doubt is not blind optimism, but a deeper understanding of the creative process. When doubt arises, do not fight it or deny it. Instead, recognize it as a signal that you have temporarily slipped back into the old state of consciousness. Then gently but firmly return to your new assumption. Persist in the assumption
that your miracle is already yours, and eventually that assumption will harden into fact. Remember the words of Jesus: "According to your faith, be it unto you." Faith is not a sentiment; it is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is the feeling tone of already having what you desire. When you maintain this feeling despite all evidence to the contrary, you are exercising true faith, and your miracle must come. I want to address something that prevents many from fully applying these principles—the fear of disappointment. Some of you hold back from
fully assuming your desire is fulfilled because you fear the pain of disappointment if it doesn't materialize. You think you are protecting yourself, but in reality, you are guaranteeing the very disappointment you seek to avoid; for the law of assumption operates with mathematical precision. What you assume, you become. If you assume that your desire might not be fulfilled, that assumption itself creates the condition where it cannot be fulfilled. But if you assume with complete conviction that it is already fulfilled, nothing in this world can prevent it. Prevent its manifestation. The secret is to transfer your faith
from the evidence of the senses to the evidence of imagination. When you can feel the reality of your imagined state with the same intensity that you now feel the reality of your physical state, your miracle is a-sh. Consider the parable of the talents: the servant who buried his talent in the ground did so out of fear. He was afraid of losing what he had, but the master condemned his action, taking the one talent from him and giving it to the one who had ten talents. This parable illustrates a profound psychological law: what you fear, you
attract; what you try to avoid, you invite. The only way to truly possess what you desire is to assume the feeling of already possessing it. Your miracle is not some distant possibility; it is a present reality in consciousness, waiting to be claimed. The choice is yours: will you continue to live from the assumption of lack, of waiting, of hoping that someday your desire will be fulfilled, or will you have the courage to assume right now that what you desire is already yours? I challenge you tonight to make a fundamental shift in consciousness. Stop thinking of
yourself as someone who is trying to achieve a goal and stop thinking of yourself as someone who has already achieved it. Stop seeing yourself as someone who is working toward health and start seeing yourself as someone who is already healthy. Stop feeling yourself to be unloved and start feeling yourself to be deeply loved. For what you assume, you become, and what you become in consciousness, you express in reality. The outer world may convince you that your miracle is impossible. People may tell you that you are being unrealistic, that you should accept your limitations and be
content with less than your heart desires. But I tell you with absolute certainty: the only limitations that exist are those you accept in consciousness. Change your consciousness, and you change your world. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This word is not some utterance spoken thousands of years ago; it is the creative power of your own wonderful human imagination operating now in this moment. When you speak the word in consciousness, by assuming the feeling of your wish fulfilled, you are invoking the same creative power that
brought the universe into being. Your miracle does not require you to be special, talented, educated, wealthy, or well-connected; it requires only that you understand and apply the creative principle that is your birthright as a human being. This principle is no respecter of persons; it works for anyone who applies it, regardless of their background, circumstances, or past failures. I have seen individuals from all walks of life transform their reality through the proper use of imagination. I have witnessed those without formal education achieve intellectual heights beyond the reach of scholars. I have seen the physically frail restore
themselves to vibrant health. I have watched the financially destitute rise to prosperity. I have observed the lonely and rejected become surrounded by love and acceptance—all through the same principle I am sharing with you tonight: the principle that imagination creates reality. The question is not whether your miracle is possible; the question is whether you are willing to assume the consciousness required for its manifestation. Are you willing to let go of your present concept of self and assume a new concept that aligns with your desire? Are you willing to live from the end, even when all sensory
evidence contradicts it? Are you willing to persist in your assumption until it hardens into fact? If your answer is yes, then your miracle is not merely coming; it is here now, waiting to be recognized and claimed. For in the realm of consciousness, where all creation begins, time and space do not exist as we know them in the three-dimensional world. Your tomorrow exists now as a present possibility. By assuming the feeling of that possibility as a present fact, you collapse time and bring your desire into your today. Remember the words of scripture: "Before they call, I
will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." This is not some supernatural promise, but a statement of psychological law. The answer to your prayer, your miracle, exists before you even ask for it; it exists as a state of consciousness that you can enter through the portal of imagination. When you truly understand this principle, you will never again beg or plead for your good. You will never again feel dependent on external circumstances or other people. You will know with unshakable conviction that your consciousness is the only reality, and everything else is its servant.
I encourage you tonight to embark on a bold experiment. Select one desire that you've been struggling to manifest; perhaps it's a relationship, a job opportunity, a health condition, or a financial goal. For the next 30 days, commit to living completely from the assumption that this desire is already fulfilled. Construct a scene that implies its fulfillment and enter the scene each night before sleep. During your waking hours, conduct your inner conversations as though your desire were already a fact. Do not tell anyone about this experiment; keep it as a sacred covenant between you and your own
wonderful human imagination. At the end of 30 days, you will be amazed at how your outer world has begun to reflect your inner assumption. Your miracle is not subject to chance or luck; it is governed by law—the law of consciousness. This law states that whatever you assume to be true in consciousness must objectify itself in your reality. It cannot do otherwise, for consciousness is the one and only reality, and everything else is merely its projection. Throughout human history, those who have discovered... This law has performed what the world calls miracles, but they were not miracles
in the sense of violations of natural law; they were the natural expressions of a higher law—the law that consciousness is the only reality. And when consciousness is changed, reality must change to reflect it. As we near the conclusion of our time together, I want to emphasize a critical point: your miracle is not contingent on anything outside yourself. It does not depend on the economy, the government, other people's opinions, your past experiences, or your present circumstances. It depends solely on the state of consciousness you assume and maintain. This understanding liberates you from the tyranny of circumstances;
you are no longer a victim of conditions but a creator of conditions. You are no longer at the mercy of the world but are the master of your world, for the world is nothing more than your consciousness objectified. I invite you tonight to embrace this liberating truth: your miracle is already yours in consciousness. Claim it, feel it, live from it, and watch as the outer world reshapes itself to match the pattern you have established within. Remember, the kingdom of heaven is within you. This kingdom is not a place but a state of consciousness. When you
enter the state of having your desire fulfilled, you have entered the kingdom, and from that kingdom, your miracle will manifest as naturally and as inevitably as dawn follows night. Do not give up. Persist in your assumption, for your persistence is not a struggle against reality but the assertion of a deeper reality—the reality of consciousness as the only creative power in your world. Your miracle is here now; it exists this very moment in your imagination. By the law of assumption, what exists in imagination must objectify itself in your reality. This is not theory or speculation; it
is law, and when you align yourself with this law, nothing in this world can prevent the fulfillment of your desire. Draw forth in the conviction that what you have assumed in consciousness is already yours in experience. Live from that conviction and watch as the miracle unfolds before your eyes—not something new coming into your life, but as the natural expression of what you have already accepted as true—the one and only reality, the reality of consciousness. I leave you with this promise: all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Believe not with your
intellect, but with your feeling. Feel the reality of your desire now, and in the not distant future, you will hold in your hands the manifestation of that which you have already held in your consciousness. Your miracle is not coming; it has come. Recognize it, claim it, and it is yours, for you are the operant power, and your consciousness is the one and only reality. My dear friends, we are here to explore a profound truth—a divine principle that has the power to reshape your entire existence. Tonight, we shall delve into the art of acting as you
are the best. Now let me be clear from the outset: when I speak of acting as you are the best, I am not referring to some external worldly concept of superiority. No, my beloved, I am speaking of something far more profound, far more divine. I am speaking of recognizing and embodying the God within you—the perfect you. See, the great secret of life is this: your imagination is God. It is the creative power of the universe expressing itself through you, and when you truly grasp this truth—when you fully embody it—you will understand that acting as you
are the best is not an act at all; it is a revelation of your true nature. Let us begin by understanding the nature of reality. The world you see around you, with all its seeming solidity, is nothing but a shadow—a reflection of your own consciousness. It is a mirror showing you the contents of your own mind, and just as a mirror faithfully reflects whatever stands before it, so does your world reflect your beliefs about yourself and your place in it. So when I urge you to act as you are the best, I am inviting you
to change the image in the mirror. I am calling you to revise your concept of self—to see yourself as the divine perfect being that you truly are. For when you do this, when you hold this image firmly in your mind, the outer world has no choice but to reorganize itself to match this new inner reality. Now, some of you may be thinking, "But how can I act as the best when my current circumstances tell me otherwise?" Ah, my dear friends, this is where faith comes in—not faith in some external deity or power, but faith in
the God within you; faith in the power of your own imagination. You must dare to assume the feeling of being the best, even when all external evidence contradicts it. Remember, the evidence of your senses is nothing but the fruit of past beliefs; it is the harvest of seeds planted in the past. But you, my beloved, are not bound by the past; you’re free to plant new seeds, to imagine a new self, a new reality. Let me share with you a fundamental law: what you assume, you become. Your assumptions have persisted and hardened into fact. This
is not mere positive thinking or wishful daydreaming; this is the creative power of God working through you. When you assume the feeling of being the best, when you live from that state, you are literally reshaping your reality at its most fundamental level. Now let us explore how to put this principle into practice. The key lies in what I call the feeling of the wish fulfilled. You must... Enter into the state of consciousness of already being the best. Feel it, live it, breathe it. Make it so real in your imagination that it becomes impossible to tell
where imagination ends and reality begins. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine yourself as the absolute best in your field, in your relationships, in your spiritual life. See yourself moving through the world with the confidence and grace of someone who knows beyond the shadow of a doubt that they are the best. Feel the joy, the satisfaction, the deep sense of fulfillment that comes with this state. Use a crucial part: you must maintain this feeling. You must live from this state. When you open your eyes, carry this feeling with you. Let it infuse every aspect
of your life. Speak as the best would speak. Move as the best would move. Make decisions as the best would make them. You may ask, but Neville, isn’t this deception? Am I not lying to myself? My dear friends, nothing could be further from the truth. Remember, your imagination is God. When you imagine yourself as the best, you are not creating a fantasy; you are recognizing a divine truth that has always existed. You are letting go of the illusion of limitation and embracing your true limitless nature. Consider the words of scripture: "Be perfect, even as your
Father in Heaven is perfect." This is not a command to strive endlessly for an unattainable ideal; it is a recognition of what you already are. You are made in the image and likeness of God. Perfection is your true nature; being the best is your birthright. Now, let me address a common misconception: acting as if you are the best does not mean comparing yourself to others or seeking to outdo them. Remember, there’s only one God, one consciousness expressing itself through all. When you truly embody being the best, you recognize this same divinity in all beings. You
lift others up, for you understand that their success is your success; their joy is your joy. This understanding leads to a profound shift in how you move through the world. Instead of competing, you collaborate. Instead of seeking to prove your worth, you freely express your gifts. You become a channel for the Divine, allowing the infinite creativity of God to flow through you unimpeded. Let us now explore the practical aspects of living from this state of being the best. It begins with your self-talk, the inner conversation you carry on throughout the day. Most people, unaware of
the creative power of their words, constantly affirm their limitations and shortcomings. They say things like, "I'm not good enough," "I can't do this," or "It's too hard for me." But you, my dear friends, knowing the truth of who you are, must vigilantly guard your inner conversation. Speak to yourself as you would speak to the best. Encourage yourself, uplift yourself, remind yourself of your divine nature. Let your inner dialogue be a constant affirmation of your perfection and power. Remember, your inner conversations are the fabric from which your reality is woven. Every word that you speak to
yourself is a seed planted in the fertile soil of your subconscious mind, and make no mistake, these seeds will grow. They will bear fruit in your external world, so choose your inner words wisely, lovingly, powerfully. Now, some of you may be wondering about the role of action in this process. Surely you might think, "I can't just imagine being the best; I must do something to make it a reality." And you are right: action is important. But understand this: inspired action flows naturally from a changed state. When you truly embody the state of being the best,
you will find yourself naturally taking actions aligned with that state. You won't have to force yourself to work hard or make difficult choices; the right actions will come to you effortlessly, joyfully. There’s a natural expression of your new self-concept. This is the meaning behind the scriptural advice to "seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you." The kingdom of God is not some far-off heavenly realm; it is a state of consciousness. The state of knowing yourself as one with God is the best expression of divine perfection. When you
seek this state first, when you live from it consistently, everything else falls into place. Now let us address the challenges you may face as you embark on this journey of acting as if you are the best. There will be times when the old patterns of thought and behavior try to reassert themselves. There will be moments when the evidence of your senses seems to contradict your new self-concept. In these moments, you must stand firm in your faith. Remember, the outer world is nothing but a shadow, a reflection of past thoughts and beliefs. It has no power
over you unless you give it power. Your task is to remain faithful to your vision of a new concept of self. This is what it means to live by faith and not by sight. It is a commitment to your imaginal acts, a steadfast loyalty to the God within you. For remember, your human eyes may see lack, limitation, and failure, but the eye of God, your imagination, sees only perfection, abundance, and success. Let me share with you a powerful technique to strengthen your faith and deepen your embodiment of being the best. Each night, as you lie
in bed drifting off to sleep, create a scene in your imagination that implies you living as the best. Make it as vivid and real as possible. Engage all your senses. Feel the emotions you would feel if this scene were actually happening. Perhaps you imagine yourself receiving an award for being the best in your field. Feel the weight of the award in your hands; hear the applause of the audience. See the smiles of your loved ones, or perhaps you imagine it: a quiet moment of deep satisfaction, knowing that you have given your absolute best and achieved
remarkable results. Whatever scene you choose, replay it in your mind as you fall asleep; for in that drowsy state between waking and sleeping, your subconscious mind is most receptive. It will accept the imaginal scene as reality and begin the work of bringing it into manifestation. Do this night after night, and you will be amazed at how your outer world begins to conform to your inner vision, for you are engaging in the highest form of prayer: the prayer of assumption. You are assuming the state of being the best, and in doing so, you are calling it
forth into manifestation. Now, let us address a question that may be arising in some of your minds: If I am to act as if I am the best, does that mean I should ignore my current shortcomings or areas where I need improvement? This is a profound question, and it deserves a careful answer. The truth is, acknowledging areas for growth and acting as if you are the best are not mutually exclusive; in fact, they are two sides of the same coin. When you truly embody the state of being the best, you naturally seek growth and improvement—not
from a place of lack or insufficiency, but from a desire to more fully express your divine nature. Think of it this way: a master musician, acknowledged as one of the best in the world, still practices daily; a champion athlete, at the peak of their game, still trains rigorously. They do this not because they doubt their abilities, but because they are committed to expressing the fullness of their potential. So yes, by all means, identify areas where you can grow and improve, but do so from the state of being the best. Approach your growth not as a
struggle to overcome deficiencies, but as an exciting opportunity to express more of your innate perfection. Remember, you are not becoming the best; you are the best, here and now, by virtue of your oneness with God. Any growth or improvement is simply a more complete manifestation of what already exists within you. Now let us explore the ripple effects of acting as if you are the best. When you embody this state, you become a living example of what is possible; you inspire others to recognize and express their own divine nature. You become a light in the world,
illuminating the path for others. This is the true meaning of leadership. It's not about holding a position of authority or having others follow you; it's about being such a pure expression of your divine nature that you naturally uplift and inspire those around you. As you act as if you are the best, you will find your relationships transforming. People will be drawn to your energy, your confidence, your joy. They will sense the God within you and respond to it with their own higher nature. You will find yourself surrounded by others who support and encourage your growth,
who celebrate your successes as their own. In your work, you will find a new level of creativity and productivity. Ideas will flow to you effortlessly; solutions to problems will present themselves with surprising ease. You will approach challenges not with fear or stress, but with excitement and confidence, knowing that within you lies the infinite wisdom and power of God. Your health and vitality will improve as you align more fully with your divine nature. Remember, your body is a perfect reflection of your state of consciousness. As you embody the state of being the best, your body will
naturally move toward its optimal state of health and well-being. Now, I want to address something that often comes up when we discuss these principles. Some of you may be thinking, "But Neville, if I act as if I am the best, won't I become arrogant or egotistical?" This is a common concern, but it stems from a misunderstanding of what it truly means to be the best. True greatness, my dear friends, is inherently humble. When you truly recognize and embody your divine nature, you simultaneously recognize the same divinity in all beings. You understand that your greatness is
not personal; it is the greatness of God expressing itself through you. This understanding leads not to arrogance, but to a deep sense of gratitude and reverence for life. You become filled with a desire to serve, to share your gifts, to lift others up, for you recognize that in doing so you are serving and uplifting God. So, as you act as if you are the best, do so with humility and love. Let your greatness be a gift to the world, a channel through which divine love and creativity can flow. This is the true meaning of being
the best—not to stand above others, but to stand as a clear expression of the divine, inspiring others to do the same. Now, let us talk about persistence. Acting as if you are the best is not a one-time event; it's not something you do once and then forget about. It is a continuous choice, a moment-by-moment decision to align with your true nature. There will be times when it feels challenging; there will be moments when the old patterns of thought and behavior try to reassert themselves. In these moments, you must persist. Remember, you are retraining your mind,
rewiring your consciousness. This takes time and consistent effort. But here's the beautiful truth: every time you choose to act as if you are the best, every time you align with your divine nature, you make it easier to do so in the future. You are creating new neural pathways, new patterns of thought and behavior. Over time, being the best becomes your natural state, requiring no effort at all. So persist, my dear friends! Vigilant in guarding your thoughts and assumptions, be steadfast in your faith even when appearances seem to contradict; for remember, what you persist in assuming
must invariably come to pass. As we near the conclusion of our discussion, I want to emphasize a crucial point: acting as you are the best is not about achieving some future state of perfection; it's about recognizing and expressing the perfection that already exists within you here and now. You are not becoming the best; you are the best by virtue of your Oneness with God. Your task is simply to remove the veils of limiting beliefs and false assumptions that have hidden this truth from you. As you do this, as you consistently act from the state of
being the best, you allow more and more of your divine nature to express itself in your life. Remember, time is a construct of the human mind; in the realm of spirit, in the imagination of God, all is now. The best version of you already exists, complete and perfect. By acting as you are the best, you are simply aligning your human consciousness with this eternal truth. So I urge you, my beloved friends, go forth from this place with a new understanding, a new commitment to living as the divine being that you are. Let every thought, every
word, every action be an expression of your best self. Live from the state of being the best and watch in wonder as your world transforms to match this new state of consciousness, for you are the operant power in your life. You are the God of your universe. As you think, as you feel, as you assume, so shall your world be. Therefore, assume the best; feel the joy and confidence of being the best, and your world will have no choice but to reflect this back to you. I remind you of the words of scripture: "I am
my Father, our one." This is not a statement of future possibility but a recognition of eternal truth. You are one with the creative power of the universe. You are the best because you are an expression of the best, the divine, perfect, limitless God. So go now and live from this truth; act as you are the best, not as a performance or a pretense, but as a revelation of who you truly are. Let your light shine brightly, illuminating the path for others, for in doing so, you fulfill your highest purpose: to be a clear and perfect
expression of God in this world. Remember, your imagination is God; use it wisely, use it lovingly, use it powerfully. Imagine the best, feel the best, be the best, for that is what you are, now and always. Thank you, and may your journey of self-discovery and divine expression be filled with joy, wonder, and infinite possibility. As we conclude our exploration of acting as you are the best, I want to emphasize the transformative power of this practice. By consistently embodying your highest self, you set in motion a series of events that will reshape your entire world. Remember,
the outer world is but a reflection of your inner state. As you maintain the feeling of being the best, your circumstances will inevitably align with this new self-concept. This journey of acting as you would the best is not always easy; there will be moments of doubt, times when the old patterns of thought attempt to reassert themselves. In these moments, stand firm in your conviction; return to your imaginal acts, to the feeling of being the best, for it is your persistence in maintaining this state that will ultimately bring it into full manifestation. As you continue on
this path, you will find that being the best becomes effortless. It will no longer feel like an act but a natural expression of who you truly are. You will move through the world with grace and ease, knowing that you are a perfect expression of life. Your life will become a living testament to the power of imagination and the truth of your oneness with God. Remember, my dear friends, that in acting as you are the best, you're not only transforming your own life, but you are contributing to the elevation of all humanity; for we are all
one, all expressions of the same divine consciousness. As you rise, you lift others with you. Your light shines not just for you, but for all who cross your path. So go forth now, embodying the truth of your divine nature. Act as you are the best, not from a place of ego, but from a deep recognition of your Oneness with God. Let every thought, every word, every action be a reflection of this truth; for in doing so, you fulfill your highest purpose: to be a clear and perfect channel through which the infinite love and creativity of
God can flow into this world. Remember, you are the best because you are God expressing as you. Now go and live from this glorious truth. The status is not merely a period of rest for your physical body; it is a gateway to the realm of infinite possibilities, where your consciousness merges with the divine creative force of the universe. It is in this state that you have the power to plant the seeds of your desires and watch them grow into manifestations. Let us begin by understanding the nature of reality. The world you see around you is
not the cause of your experience but the effect; it is the out-picturing of your inner states of consciousness. Every circumstance, every person, every experience in your life is a reflection of your own thoughts and beliefs. When you grasp this fundamental truth, you realize that manifesting your desires is not about changing something external; it is about changing your inner state, your consciousness. And there is no more powerful time to... Do this, then, in the moments before sleep. Why is this so? Because as you drift off to sleep, your conscious mind begins to quiet, the chatter of
your daily thoughts subsides, and you enter a state of increased suggestibility. In this state, the seeds you plant in your subconscious mind take root more easily and grow more rapidly. Now, you might be wondering, how exactly do I ask the universe before sleep? This is an excellent question, and it brings us to the heart of our discussion. The key lies in what I call the Lullaby Method. Imagine for a moment that you are putting a child to sleep. You wouldn't shout or argue with the child; you wouldn't fill their mind with worries or doubts. Instead,
you would speak softly, soothingly. You would tell them comforting stories and sing gentle lullabies. This is precisely how you must treat your own consciousness as you prepare for sleep. You must soothe your mind with thoughts of your desire fulfilled. You must love yourself to sleep with the sweet song of your wish accomplished. But let me be clear: this is not about making empty affirmations or engaging in wishful thinking. It is about assuming the feeling of your wish fulfilled. It is about entering the state of the person who already has what you desire. Consider this: if
you had already manifested your desire, how would you feel as you drifted off to sleep? Would you be filled with gratitude, with joy, with a sense of peace and contentment? This is the feeling you must capture and maintain as you fall asleep. Now, some of you might be thinking, "But Neville, how can I feel as though my wish is fulfilled when my current reality shows me the opposite?" This, my dear friends, is where faith comes in—but not blind faith; faith based on understanding the law. You see, your physical reality is nothing more than the out-picturing
of your past assumptions. It is the harvest of seeds you have previously sown in your consciousness. To change your reality, you must plant new seeds; you must assume a new state of being. When you ask the universe before sleep, you are planting these new seeds. You are assuming the state of one who already has what they desire. And as you persist in this state, night after night, your outer world has no choice but to conform to this new inner conviction. This is the true meaning of the biblical phrase, "Ask, and it shall be given you."
It is not a plea to an external deity; it is a reminder of your own divine creative power. When you ask the universe before sleep, you are declaring your desire as an accomplished fact to your own subconscious mind, which is one with the universal mind. Now let us address a common misconception: many believe that to manifest their desires, they must visualize every detail of how it will come to pass. But I tell you now, this is not necessary and can even be counterproductive. Your job is not to figure out the how; your job is to
assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled. The infinite intelligence of the universe will take care of the how in ways far beyond what your limited conscious mind can conceive. Think of it like this: when you order something online, you don't concern yourself with the logistics of how it will be delivered. You simply place the order and trust that it will arrive. The same principle applies when you ask the universe before sleep. You place your order with the cosmic catalog, so to speak, and then you let go and trust in its delivery. This brings us to
another crucial point: the importance of letting go. After you have assumed the feeling of your wish fulfilled, you must release it. You must fall asleep in this state without anxiety or doubt about its manifestation. This letting go is not indifference; it is supreme confidence. It is the knowing that your desire is already yours, and in the realm of imagination, which is the very substance of reality, as you sleep, your subconscious mind goes to work aligning all the necessary forces to bring about the manifestation of your desire. Now let us explore the concept of revision. Often,
the last thoughts before sleep are a review of the day's events. Most people replay their day as it occurred, reinforcing any negative experiences or feelings. But I say to you, this is a missed opportunity for creation. Instead of accepting the day as it appeared to your senses, revise it. Replay the events of your day as you would have liked them to be. Did you have a difficult conversation? Reimagine it going smoothly and positively. Did you face a challenge? See yourself overcoming it with ease and grace. This practice of revision before sleep is powerful because it
impresses upon your subconscious mind the new version of events. Remember, your subconscious does not distinguish between what is vividly imagined and what is physically experienced. By revising your day, you are literally rewriting your past and consequently reshaping your future. Let us now address the role of gratitude in this process. Gratitude is not just a polite sentiment; it is a powerful creative force. When you are truly grateful, you are acknowledging the presence of your desire and your abundance. You are affirming its reality even before it manifests in the physical realm. As you ask the universe before
sleep, cultivate a deep sense of gratitude. Be thankful not just for what you can see and touch, but for the unseen blessings that are even now unfolding in your life. Give thanks for the wisdom that guides you, the love that surrounds you, and the power that resides within you. This gratitude aligns you with the frequency of your desire, speeding up its manifestation. It puts. you, in a state of receptivity, opening you to receive even greater blessings. Now let us discuss the importance of persistence. Asking the universe before sleep is not a one-time event; it is
a practice, a nightly ritual that you must maintain until your desire manifests in your physical reality. Some nights it will be easy to assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled; other nights you may struggle. Your current circumstances may seem to shout louder than your imagination, but I say to you: persist! For it is in these moments of challenge that your faith is tested and strengthened. Remember, your current physical reality is the effect of your past thoughts and assumptions; it has no power to create your future unless you give it that power through your attention and
belief. Persist in your new assumption night after night, and watch as your world transforms to match your inner state. Let us now explore the concept of the law of assumption in more depth. This law states that if you assume a state and persist in it, it must manifest in your physical reality. When you ask the universe before sleep, you are invoking this law; you are assuming the state of one who already has what they desire. As you fall asleep in this assumed state, you are impressing it upon your subconscious mind, and your subconscious mind, being
intimately connected to the Universal Mind, begins to rearrange the cosmic forces to bring about the manifestation of your desire. Now, some of you might be wondering about the significance of the number seven in this process. In many spiritual traditions, seven is considered a number of completion, of divine perfection. Indeed, I have found that persisting in your desired state for seven nights often brings about a shift in consciousness that leads to manifestation. But let me be clear: this is not a hard and fast rule. Some desires may manifest more quickly, while others may take longer. The
key is not to focus on a specific timeframe, but to persist in your assumption until it hardens into fact. Let us now address the concept of "everyone is you pushed out." This principle states that everyone in your world is a reflection of your consciousness. The way people treat you, the opportunities that come your way, even the seemingly random events in your life—all are reflections of your state of being. As you ask the universe before sleep and assume the state of your wish fulfilled, you may find that people in your life begin to act differently toward
you; opportunities may suddenly appear; synchronicities may become more frequent. This is because you are changing your inner world, and consequently, your outer world must change to match it. Now let us discuss the power of your imagination in this process. Your imagination is not mere fantasy or daydreaming; it is God in action within you. It is the creative power through which all things are made. When you ask the universe before sleep, you are engaging this divine creative power. You are using your imagination to create a new reality, and as you fall asleep immersed in this imaginal
act, you are allowing it to work unimpeded by the doubts and limitations of your conscious mind. Remember, your subconscious mind does not distinguish between what is vividly imagined and what is physically experienced; to your subconscious, the imaginal act is the reality. As your subconscious accepts this new reality, it goes to work to bring it into your physical experience. Let us now explore the concept of the state akin to sleep. This is a state of relaxed awareness, similar to the drowsy state you experience just before falling asleep or just after waking. In this state, your conscious
mind is quiet, and you have easier access to your subconscious. You can enter this state at any time during the day to reinforce your nightly practice. Simply find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed, close your eyes, and relax your body. Then, assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled just as you do before sleep. This practice during the day can greatly enhance the effectiveness of your nightly ritual; it allows you to maintain the state of your wish fulfilled more consistently, speeding up its manifestation. Now let us address the importance of detachment. This might seem
contradictory to what we've been discussing about assuming the feeling of your wish fulfilled, but detachment in this context means releasing your anxious attachment to the outcome. When you ask the universe before sleep, do so with the calm assurance of one who knows their desire is already fulfilled. Don't think of your desire as something you lack and are desperately trying to acquire; think of it as something that is already yours, that you are merely allowing to manifest in your physical reality. This detachment allows the universe to work out the how and when of your manifestation. Remember,
the intelligence that keeps your heart beating and the planets orbiting is infinitely more capable of bringing about your desire than your conscious mind. Let us now discuss the role of emotion in this process. Emotion is the fuel that gives life to your imaginal acts. It's not enough to simply visualize your desire or repeat affirmations before sleep; you must feel the reality of it as you ask the universe before sleep. Engage all your senses. If you're manifesting a new home, feel the keys in your hand, smell the fresh paint, hear the sound of your footsteps echoing
in your new space. The more real you can make it in your imagination, the more powerfully it will impress upon your subconscious mind. Now let us address the concept of living in the end. This means experiencing your desire as a present fact, not a future possibility. When you ask the universe before sleep, you are not pleading for... Something to happen tomorrow, or next week, or next year; you are acknowledging the reality of your desire. Now, this state of living in the end collapses time; it brings your desire into the present moment, making its manifestation inevitable.
Remember, in the realm of imagination, where all creation takes place, there is no time. Your desire is fulfilled the moment you assume the feeling of its fulfillment with conviction. Let us explore the concept of the Sabbath in this context. The Sabbath is not about a particular day of the week, but about a state of mind. It is a state of complete rest from all effort, a state of knowing that your work is done after you have asked the universe. Before you enter this Sabbath state, rest in the certainty that your desire is fulfilled. Release all
anxiety, all need to make it happen. Know that the law is at work, and your only task now is to sleep in peace. Now, let us discuss the importance of your self-concept in this process. Your self-concept is the sum total of your beliefs about who you are. As you ask the universe before sleep, you are not just manifesting external circumstances; you are manifesting a new version of yourself. See yourself as the person who naturally has and experiences what you desire. This is not pretense or self-deception; it is aligning yourself with your true divine nature, which
is limitless and abundantly supplied. Let us address the concept of resistance. As you practice asking the universe before sleep, you may encounter resistance; old beliefs and habits may try to reassert themselves. You may find your mind wandering to thoughts of lack or limitation. Do not fight this resistance; remember, what you resist persists. Instead, gently but firmly return to the feeling of your wish fulfilled. Know that this resistance is simply the old man dying away as the new man is born. Now, let us explore the concept of the law of reversed effort. This law states that
the harder you try to achieve something, the more you push it away. This is why the state of sleep is so powerful for manifestation. In sleep, you release all effort and allow the natural forces of creation to work unimpeded. As you ask the universe before sleep, do so with ease and naturalness. Don't strain or struggle to maintain the feeling of your wish fulfilled; simply relax into it as easily as you relax into sleep. Let us discuss the importance of consistency in this practice. Asking the universe before sleep is not something you do once and then
forget about. It is a nightly ritual, a way of life. Even after you see evidence of your desire manifesting in your physical reality, continue this practice; for there is no end to the good you can create in your life and in the world. Each night is an opportunity to plant new seeds of creation in the fertile soil of your subconscious mind. Now let us address the concept of divine timing. Often, when we hold tightly to our desires, we create resistance to their natural unfolding. We try to force things to happen on our timeline, but the
universe operates on its own divine timing, which is always perfect. As you ask the universe before sleep, release your attachment to when your desire will manifest. Trust that it will come at the perfect time, in the perfect way. Your job is simply to maintain the feeling of your wish fulfilled and allow the universe to take care of the details. Let us explore the concept of the mirror principle. This principle states that your outer world is a reflection of your inner world. As you practice asking the universe before sleep, pay attention to the changes you see
in your external reality. These are reflections of the changes happening within you. Even small shifts in your outer world are signs that your inner work is taking effect. Celebrate these signs; for they are proof that the law is working in your life. Now let us discuss the power of your words. Your words are not just sounds or symbols; they are creative forces. As you ask the universe before sleep, be mindful of the words you use, both in your inner dialogue and in your speech throughout the day. Speak as though your desire is already fulfilled; use
phrases that affirm the reality of your desire. Remember, your words are seeds planted in the fertile soil of the universe. Make sure you're planting seeds of what you want to grow in your life. Let us address the importance of forgiveness in this process. Holding on to resentment, anger, or blame keeps you energetically tied to past experiences; it keeps you vibrating at a lower frequency, attracting more experiences that match that lower energy. As you ask the universe before sleep, practice forgiveness of others and of yourself. Release any grudges or negative feelings; this frees up your energy
to focus fully on your desired state. Now let us explore the concept of the quantum field. In quantum physics, we understand that everything is energy and possibility. Your desires already exist as potentials in this quantum field. When you ask the universe before sleep, you are aligning yourself with the version of reality where your desire is fulfilled. Understand that you are not creating something from nothing; you are selecting a reality from infinite possibilities. Your job is to align your consciousness with the reality you desire to experience. Let us discuss the role of action in this process.
While the primary work of manifestation happens in your consciousness, inspired action often plays a part. As you practice asking the universe before sleep, you may find yourself naturally inspired to take certain actions during your waking hours. Follow these inspirations; they are the bridge of incidents leading to the manifestation of your desire. But remember, the actions themselves… Are not creating your desire; they are simply the means through which your desire, already fulfilled in Consciousness, expresses itself in the physical world. Now, let us address the concept of letting go once more. After you have asked the universe
before sleep, you must let go. This doesn't mean forgetting about your desire; it means releasing the anxious need for it, the fear that it won't manifest. Letting go is an act of trust; it is knowing that once you have planted the seed of your desire in the fertile soil of your subconscious mind, it must grow. Your job is not to dig up the seed every day to check on its progress but to water it with your continued faith and assumption of its fulfillment. Let us explore the power of persistence in this practice. Asking the universe
before sleep is not a one-time ritual that you might let your desire manifest in your physical reality. Some nights it will be easy to assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled; other nights you may struggle. Your current circumstances may seem to shout louder than your imagination, but I say to you: persist! For it is in these moments of challenge that your faith is tested and strengthened. Remember, your current physical reality is the effect of your past thoughts and assumptions; it has no power to create your future unless you give it that power through your attention
and belief. Now let us discuss the importance of living from the end. As you ask the universe before sleep, you are not pleading for something to happen in the future; you are acknowledging the reality of your desire now. This state of living from the end collapses time; it brings your desire into the present moment, making its manifestation inevitable. Remember, in the realm of imagination, where all creation takes place, there is no time. Your desire is fulfilled the moment you assume the feeling of its fulfillment with conviction. Let us address the role of gratitude in this
process once more. Gratitude is not just a feeling; it is a state of being. When you are truly grateful, you are acknowledging the presence of your desire in your life; you are affirming its reality even before it manifests in the physical realm. As you ask the universe before sleep, cultivate a deep sense of gratitude. Be thankful not just for what you can see and touch, but for the unseen blessings that are even now unfolding in your life. In conclusion, remember that asking the universe before sleep is not about begging or pleading with some external force;
it is about aligning yourself with the infinite creative power within you. It is about recognizing that you are one with the universe and that your desires are the universe's way of expressing itself through you. Trust in the law, have faith in your own divine nature, and above all, persist in the state of knowing that your desires are already fulfilled. Go forth and create consciously, for the power is within you. The entire universe is at your command; you need only to ask before sleep, assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled, and allow your good to flow
to you. And so it is.
