ladies and gentlemen listen to me I don't know who needs to hear this but this is not where your story ends that struggle that set back that disappointment it is not final see we serve a God who doesn't just sit back and watch he's a turnaround God a way maker a redeemer do some of you have been fighting battles that you didn't ask for you've been waiting on a breakthrough that feels like it's never coming maybe life knocked you down so hard and you started wondering if God even sees you but let me tell you

something he sees you hears you and he is about to turn it around see the thing about God is he doesn't just fix problems he transforms them he doesn't just restore what was lost he multiplies it that setback that betrayal that struggle it's not the end it's just the middle of the story and if you don't quit if you keep pushing if you keep believing you are going to see God do something that only he can do this is not the time to give up this is not the time to let doubt win this is

the time to stand up shake off that fear and walk like you already know God is about to turn it around I want to talk to you today about how your setback is really a setup for a comeback you may be facing difficulties challenges that don't seem to make sense maybe you lost a job went through a tough breakout or got some bad news from the doctor it feels like life threw you a curveball like everything you work for is slipping through your fingers but let me remind you what may look like a setback is

often the very thing God is using to set you up for something greater do c we serve a God who doesn't waste anything he doesn't allow difficulty without a purpose when you go through a season of struggle it's not because he's forgotten about you it's because he's preparing you that disappointment that delay that hardship it's not the end of your story it's just a chapter and if you keep pressing forward if you don't let that setback Define you're going to see that God is setting you up for a comeback in the Bible we read about

Joseph here's a young man who had a dream a promise from God that one day he would be in a position of influence but before that dream became a reality Joseph faced one setback after another his brothers were jealous of him so they threw him into a pit and sold him into slavery he was falsely accused and thrown into prison he had every reason to be discouraged he could have said God this isn't fair I thought you had a great plan for my life why is this happening to me but Joseph understood that just because

he faced setbacks did didn't mean God had forgotten him he didn't get bitter he didn't give up on the dream God gave him he stayed faithful he kept doing the right thing even when the wrong thing was happening to him Dot and you know what happened in one moment God turned it all around Joseph went from being a prisoner to being second in command over all of Egypt the very setbacks he faced the Betrayal the hardship the years of waiting were actually positioning him for the comeback God had in store maybe today you feel like

you're in a pit you're in a season where things aren't going the way you expected can I encourage you that pit is not your final destination that closed door is not the end of the story the same God who turned Joseph's situation around is the same God who is working behind the scenes in your life sometimes God will let Things Fall Apart so he can put them back together the right way you may not see it right now but God knows what he's doing he knows how to take what the enemy meant for harm and

turn it for your good that disappointment that difficulty it's not a stop sign it's a detour on the road to your destiny do a while back I met a man who had been working for a company for years he was loyal hardworking gave it his all one day out of nowhere they let him go he was devastated he had a family to support he didn't know how he was going to make it for months he struggled to find work he could have gotten bitter he could have given up but instead he kept his faith he

kept believing that God was in control that one day A friend told him about an opportunity it was something different than what he was used to but he decided to give it a shot long story short that opportunity turned into something bigger than he ever imagined he started his own business and now he's more successful than he ever was at his old job looking back he told me losing that job was the best thing that ever happened to me at the time I didn't understand it but now I see that God was setting me up

for something greater do maybe right now something unfair has happened to you you're asking God God why did this happen but what if instead of asking why you started saying God I trust you I don't see it right now but I know you're up to something I know you are turning this set back into a setup for something greater dot when you live with that kind of Faith you're positioning yourself for a comeback you're opening the door for God to do something incredible in your life do Paul said in Romans 8:28 all things work together

for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose that means the good things the bad things the things that don't make sense they're all working together for your good so don't let that setback shake your faith don't let disappointment steal your joy you may not see the full picture yet but trust me God is setting you up he's working behind the scenes he's preparing the right people the right opportunities the right open doors doif you stay in faith if you keep doing the right thing even when the wrong thing is

happening you're going to come out of this stronger wiser and better than ever before God is going to restore what was lost he's going to bring you out with double the blessing double the favor double the joy dot this is not the end of your story this is just a setup for your comeback do I want to talk to you today about how God's delays are not denials just because something hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it's not going to happen sometimes we pray we believe we do the right thing but we don't see anything changing

we get discouraged thinking God where are you why is it taking so long but the scripture says in habac 2:3 the vision is for an appointed time though it t wait for it it will surely come notice it says the vision the dream the promise what God put in your heart is for an appointed time that means God has a specific moment planned for it to come to pass it may not be when you thought it may not be as soon as you like but God's timing is always perfect what you're believing for is on

the schedule it's already lined up and just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it's not on the way doouble you see this in the life of Abraham God gave Abraham a promise that he would have a son that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars but years went by nothing happened Abraham and his wife Sarah got older they prayed they believ but still no child I can imagine Abraham saying God did you forget about us you promis but nothing is happening maybe you feel like Abraham today you've been waiting on a promise

you've been praying for your health to improve for your business to grow for the right person to come into your life but it's taking longer than you thought you don't see anything changing that but can I tell you just because it's delayed doesn't mean it's denied God has not forgotten about you he has heard every prayer seen every tear and he is working behind the scenes do Abraham had to wait 25 years for that promise to be fulfilled at 99 years old when it seemed impossible Sarah conceived and gave birth to their son Isaac do

what am I saying God is faithful what he promised will come to pass but it may not happen in your timing you may be in a season of waiting but that doesn't mean God has said no that delay is not a denial it's a setup for something greater than you imagined a young woman in our church had been believing to have a baby she and her husband had tried for years gone to doctors done everything they could but nothing worked it was one of the hardest seasons of their lives every time someone else announced a

pregnancy every time she walked past the baby section at the store it was a reminder of what she didn't have do she could have gotten bitter she could have given up but she kept believing she kept trusting she said God I don't understand it but I know you're still in control that one day out of the blue she got a call from an adoption agency a young woman had chosen her and her husband to adopt her baby and within a few months they were holding their miracle in their arms not looking back she told me

Joel now I see that God wasn't denying me he just had a different plan if things had happened when I wanted I wouldn't have this beautiful baby the child that was meant to be ours some of you have been discouraged because you think God is saying no but what if he's not saying no he's just saying not yet what if the delay is because he has something even better in store Isaiah 60:22 says when the time is right I the the Lord will make it happen that means you don't have to force things to happen

you don't have to be frustrated trying to make it work in your own strength no when the time is right God will make it happen do the right doors will open the right people will show up the opportunity you've been praying for will come knocking but you have to trust his timing dot it's easy to get discouraged in the waiting season but the truth is if God gave us everything we ask for when we asked for it we wouldn't be ready for it sometimes the delay is for our benefit God is using that time to

prepare us to grow our faith to make sure we can handle what he's about to give us maybe you're waiting for a promotion you've been working hard but you keep getting passed over can I tell you God sees your faithfulness he's showing up early staying late going the extra mile the right opportunity is coming it may not have happened yet but when it does it's going to be bigger better more fulfilling than what you thought that maybe you've been praying for a spouse but it feels like everyone else is getting married and you're still waiting

can I encourage you God knows what he's doing he's not going to bring just anybody he's going to bring the right person the one who will love and support you the way you deserve do or maybe you've been waiting for healing you've prayed you believed but you're still dealing with that illness still fighting that battle listen don't give up God is still in control healing is coming strength is coming Victory is coming what you do in the waiting season matters instead of being frustrated discouraged or doubting start thanking God in advance say Lord I may

not see it yet but I trust you I know my breakthrough is coming I know my healing is on the way I know you are working all things together for my good dot when you wait with the right attitude when you trust that God's delays are not denials you position yourself of the miracle he has in store that and when that moment comes when God turns it around you're going to look back and say now I see why it took so long now I understand what God was doing if he had answered my prayer earlier

I would have missed out on something even greater doubt that's the kind of God we serve a God who knows the perfect time the perfect way and the perfect plan so stay in faith because the delay is not a denial I want to talk to you today about how Faith Works in the dark it's easy to trust God when everything is going your way when the doors are opening when the medical report is good when your business is booming but what about when things aren't changing when you're praying but nothing is improving when you're doing

the right thing but the wrong thing keeps happening that's when real faith is developed Faith doesn't just work in the light when everything is clear and makes sense Faith Works in the dark faith is believing when you don't see a way it's trusting God when you don't understand it's saying God I don't see anything happening but I believe you're working behind the scenes I believe you're fighting my battles I believe you will turn this around and in the scripture Paul and Silas were doing what God called them to do they were preaching helping people making

a difference but they were arrested and put into the deepest part of a prison it was cold dark dirty they had Shackles on their feet chains on their hands they could have been discouraged complaining God we were doing your work why didn't you let this happen but do you know what they did at midnight in the darkest part of their trial when all hope seemed lost the Bible says they began to sing praises to God God they weren't praising because they felt like it they weren't singing because their situation had changed they were still in

chain still in prison but their faith was working in the dark and the moment they praised the prison doors flew open and the chains fell off notice they didn't wait for the Breakthrough to praise God they praised him Before the Breakthrough they had faith in the dark dot maybe today you feel like you're in a dark place you don't see how things could turn around you're struggling with a sickness a financial difficulty a situation in your family it would be easy to complain to get discouraged to let that Darkness overwhelm you do but this is

the time to activate your faith this is the time to say God I don't understand it but I trust you I can't see it but I know you're working about sometimes God will let you go through a season where you don't see anything happening where it feels like your prayers aren't being answered it's a test of faith will you trust him in the dark will you believe when there's no sign of progress a few years ago I met a woman who had been diag noosed with cancer the doctors told her there was nothing more they

could do it was dark discouraging everything in her was telling her to give up but instead of giving in fear she made the decision to walk by faith out every morning she got up and declared God I thank you that I am healed I thank you that your power is working in me I thank you that no weapon formed against me will prosper that months went by and she didn't see any change but she kept believing she kept trusting one day she went in for a routine check and the doctors were amazed the cancer was

completely gone they couldn't explain it do what happened Faith Works in the dark dot you may not see the healing the Breakthrough the open door yet but that doesn't mean God isn't working what you're believing for is already in motion just because you don't see anything happening doesn't mean God isn't setting things up behind the scenes it's like a seed planted in the soil you don't see anything happening at first the seed is in the dark hidden beneath the ground it looks like nothing is changing but deep inside that soil something is happening the roots

are growing the seed is taking shape and then one day when the time is right that seed burst through the soil and you see what was happening all along th some of you have been in seas that where you don't see any progress you've been praying believing standing in faith but nothing has changed can I tell you that doesn't mean God isn't working that seed is in the soil the roots are growing the promise is developing if you keep trusting keep believing keep praising in the dark you're going to see it browse forth at the

right time Jesus told Thomas you believe because you have seen But blessed are those who believe without seeing real face ISS I don't have to see it to believe it I don't have to feel it to know God is moving I don't have to understand it to trust that God is in control that you may be in a season of Darkness but let me remind you God doesn't let you walk through the dark without a plan that dark season is temporary it's not the end of the story the same God who brought Paul and Silas

out of prison the same God who healed that woman the same God who has done miracles in the past he's working in your life right now dos or don't be discouraged because you don't see anything happening don't let the enemy convince you that nothing is changing keep walking by faith keep trusting keep praising because Faith Works in in the dark and when the time is right you're going to see God do what only he can do I want to talk to you today about how what looks like a setback is really a setup sometimes in

life we Face disappointments delays closed doors we pray we believe we do our best but things don't work out the way we planned the promotion goes to someone else the relationship doesn't make it the business struggles it's easy to get discouraged and think God why is this happening but what if that setback wasn't meant to stop you what if it was part of God's plan to position you for something greater the Bible says in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose that

opposite direction his own brothers were jealous of him and sold him into slavery he was taken to a foreign country falsely accused and thrown into prison for something he didn't do for years nothing seemed to go Joseph's way he could have thought God were you I was just trying to do what's right but look what happened but Joseph didn't get bitter he didn't give up he understood that what looked like a setback was really a setup one day Pharaoh had a dream that no one could interpret someone remembered that Joseph had the gift of interpreting

dreams and in a single moment Joseph went from the prison to Palace he was promoted to second in command of all of Egypt and that dream God gave him as a young man came to pass what am I saying if Joseph had never been being beat if he had never been thrown into prison he would have never met the people who would eventually lead him to Pharaoh the setback wasn't random it was a setup for something greater maybe today you're in a place like Joseph you don't understand why things have happened the way they have

you thought that job was going to work out you thought the relationship was going to last you thought that door was going to open but now you're facing disappointment let me encourage you God is not finished with your story what looks like a setback is actually a setup for something better better the enemy may have me it for harm but God is turning it for your good that closed door that betrayal that loss it's not the end it's part of the process a woman in our church had been working at a company for over 15

years she was one of the top employees well-respected hardworking one day out of the blue she was let go no explanation no warning she was devastated she thought God this isn't fair I gave my best why did this happen but instead of staying discouraged she chose to believe that God was still in control she started her own business something she had always dreamed of doing but never had the courage to step out in faith within 2 years that business was more successful than she ever imagined today she's thriving doing what she loves making more income

than she ever did before looking back she says what I thought was a setb was really a setup if I had stayed in that company I never would have stepped into my purpose some of you have gone through losses dis appointments unfair situations you're looking at as a setback but God is saying it's a set up it's not pushing you down it's lifting you up the scripture says that God will give you Beauty for Ashes that means what you lost what didn't work out what felt like a failure God is going to take it and

turn it into something beautiful the key is to trust him in the process when You Face a setback don't let it defeat you don't let it make you bitter angry or discouraged instead say God I don't understand this but I know you are in control I know you are ordering my steps I know you are setting me up for something greater when you have that kind of faith when you refuse to be discouraged by what didn't work out that's when God begins to move in your life in ways you never imagine the enemy would love

for you to believe that the disappointment is the end that the loss is permanent that the setback is final but the truth is God is still writing your story he has the final s what he started in your life he will bring to completion so don't give up don't let the setback convince you that your dreams are over God is still working what he promised will come to pass keep trusting keep believing because what looks like a setback is really a setup for something greater I want to remind you today that God is always working

behind the scenes even when you don't see anything happening even when your prayers seem unanswered even when it looks like nothing is changing God is at work he is lying up the right people arranging the right break setting up opportunities that you can't see that sometimes we get discouraged because we don't see the progress we pray and nothing happens we believe in doors stay closed we do the right thing but the wrong thing keeps happening that's when the enemy Whispers nothing is changing God is listening you're wasting your time D but let me encourage you

just because you don't see anything happening doesn't mean God is not working think about a seed that is planted in the ground when you put it in the soil you don't see anything happening for a while day after day it looks the same but under the surface in the Unseen realm that seed is opening up taking root growing it may take weeks or even months before you see evidence of that growth that's the way it is in life you're praying believing doing your best and you're doing your best and changing but what you can't see

is that beneath the surface God is working he's growing that promise he's putting things in order just because you don't see it doesn't mean he's not doing something amazing do in the Bible Daniel prayed for God to help him he asked for wisdom and Direction but for 21 days nothing happened it seemed like God wasn't listening but on the 21st day an angel appeared and said Daniel from the moment you pray God sent me with the answer but there was opposition in the heavens out what's interesting is that from the very moment Daniel Prayed God

had already sent the answer he didn't see anything happening for 3 weeks but in the Unseen realm God had already put the answer in motion some of you have been praying believing standing in faith but you don't see anything happening like Daniel you may not realize that God already released what you asked for he already set the miracle emotion the healing the Breakthrough the opportunity it's already on the way there may be delays there may be opposition but that doesn't mean God isn't working dot too often we get discouraged because we don't see things changing

we think if I could just see some progress if I could just get a little sign that things are improving then I believe but that's not faith faith says I don't have to see it to believe it I know God is working I know he's moving behind the scenes dock when the Israelites were in the desert they got discouraged because they didn't see any way forward they were trapped between Pharaoh's Army and the Red Sea they thought this is the end there's no way out but what they didn't realize was that God was already working

long before they saw any evidence God had already commanded the winds to blow he had already told the waters to part he had already made a way of Escape at just the right time The Waters open and they walked through on dry ground found out the same God who part of the Red Sea is working behind the scen as a in your life right now he's arranging things in your favor he's making a way where you don't see a way he's lining up the right people the right opportunities the right breaks that you may not

see it yet but that doesn't mean it's not happening God works in the Unseen before he reveals it in the seen do a woman in our church had been believing for a baby for years she and her husband tried everything went to every doctor did every treatment she prayed she believed she stood in faith but nothing happened she could have thought God must not want this for me it's been too long maybe it's not meant to be but instead she kept believing what she didn't realize was that behind the scenes God was arranging things at

just the right time a woman in another state someone she had never met felt led to place her baby for adoption through an unexpected connection she and her husband were chosen to adopt that baby do what happened God was working behind the scenes while she was praying God was putting things in place thought I want you to know that God is working for you too you may not see it yet but at the right time he will bring it to pass he's already released the healing he's already released the Breakthrough he's already released the right

opportunity you just have to keep trusting him do you may be praying for a loved one believing for them to turn their life around it may seem like nothing is happening but what you can't see is that God is speaking to their heart he's putting the right people in their path he's softening their Spirit maybe you're believing for a new job a promotion an open door right now it looks like nothing is happening but what you don't realize is that behind the scenes God is preparing something better then what you imagine do when the time

is right you'll see what he's been doing all along suddenly the right opportunity will come suddenly the relationship will fall into place suddenly the healing will manifest God just because you don't see anything happening doesn't mean God isn't working his timing is perfect he knows what he's doing so don't let delays discourage you don't let silence make you think he's forgotten you keep believing keep trusting because what God has promised is already in motion and when the time is right you'll see it come to pass I want to talk to you today about how your

waiting season is not wasted we all have things we're believing for prayers we pray dreams we're hoping will come to pass situations that we need to turn around but sometimes it feels like nothing is happening you've done your best you've honored God but the promise seems so far away God it's easy to get discouraged in the waiting the enemy would love for you to believe that because you don't see anything changing nothing is happening that because the situation looks the same God must not be working but can I tell you just because you don't see

anything happening doesn't mean God is not working do I in the waiting God is doing something in you he's preparing you strengthening you refining you getting you ready for what he has in store sometimes we think we're just waiting on God to do something for us but God is also working in us he's developing our character stretching our Faith teaching us to trust him in a deeper way look at David in the Bible he was anointed to be king as a teenager the prophet Samuel came to his house poured all on his head declared that

he was chosen by God you would think that the next day David would have stepped into the throne but do you know how long he had to wait years thought during that time David didn't see the palace instead he found himself in the fields taking care of sheep he found himself serving King Saul fighting battles facing opposition at times it looked like the promise would never come to pass he had to flee for his life hide in caves go through unfair situations that I'm sure there were moments when David thought God you said I would

be king but nothing is happening you gave me this promise but it feels like I'm moving further away from it but what David didn't realize was that the waiting was not wasted dot in those years of waiting God Was preparing him he was teaching him how to lead how to trust how to handle the pressures of the throne when the time was right the doors open and naid stepped into the fullness of his calling what am I saying the waiting is part of the process if God has you in a waiting season it's because he's

doing something in you he's strengthening your faith building your endurance preparing you for what's next up maybe today you feel like you're stuck you've been faithful you've been praying but nothing seems to be changing let me encourage you your waiting season is not wasted God is working behind the scenes do just like a caterpillar goes through a transformation before becoming a butterfly there are things happening in the Unseen that are getting you ready for what God has in store do a woman in our church shared her testimony with me she had been believing for a

promotion for years she were stayed faithful and applied for leadership positions multiple times each time she was overlooked other people some less qualified got the job instead she didn't understand it she could have been discouraged given up thought maybe it's just not meant to be do but but she kept trusting God she kept being her best where she was she didn't let the delay make her bitter she let it make her better one day out of nowhere a position opened up above the one she had applied for not just a small promotion but a huge

one when she went in for the interview the executives told her we've been watching you we've seen your integrity your faithfulness your commitment you're the perfect person for this roll dot she got the job and looking back she said I realize now why those doors didn't open before God has something better planned. see sometimes the waiting is not about delay it's about alignment God is not just preparing the blessing for you he's preparing you for the blessing if he gave you what you're asking for before you were ready it wouldn't be a blessing it would

be a burden thought that's why we have to learn to trust him in the waiting to not get discouraged when things don't happen on our timeable just because it's taking longer than you thought doesn't mean it's not going to happen just because you haven't seen it yet doesn't mean God isn't working the scripture says those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength that means while you're waiting something powerful is happening God is renewing you strengthening you getting you ready do you may not see it but every day you wait in faith every time

you choose to trust instead of worry every moment you stay in peace instead of frustration you're growing stronger you're developing the character you need to handle what God is bringing your way think about Joseph God gave him a dream that he he would be in leadership that he would help many people but instead of stepping into that dream right away he was sold into slavery falsely accused put in prisoned do for years it looked like nothing was happening but in the waiting Joseph was being prepared if he had gone straight from the dream to the

throne he wouldn't have had the wisdom the maturity the strength to handle IAL day dime was right in one day Joseph went from the prison to the Palace he was promoted elevated placed exactly where God had planned all along your waiting season is leading to your promotion season the delays are not denials the detours are not dead ends they are all part of the process God is using to get you ready for what's next dos oh don't lose heart don't let the enemy convince you that nothing is happening every moment you stay in faith every

time you praise instead of complain every time you trust instead of worry you are getting stronger God is not just making you wait he's making you ready and when the time is right he will open the door shift the circumstances and bring the promise to pass do your waiting is not wasted stay faithful stay expected because the best is still ahead
