The New Way To Make Money With Canva Ai ($1,370 /Day)

okay so there is an underrated AI side hustle that's earning people over $1,370 per day that can be done using canva Ai and seriously when I first discovered this it genuinely blew my mind yep and here's how it works first you come to canva and you use its AI image generator to generate a simple cartoon then you use canvas's AI eraser and its shape tools to turn them into dotted lines to form a simple dotto dot image which you can then sell on Amazon for free free using the KDP self-publishing service and potentially get hundreds to thousands of sales per month earning tens of thousands of dollars and honestly I'm really surprised that more people aren't talking about this because creating them is surprisingly easy especially since I've discovered that you can do this entirely using canvas AI no other apps are required so then let's jump straight into this tutorial with step one pick your dot to do Niche to sell and earn money with yep so here's the thing right if you come to Amazon and do a search for DOT to dot books you'll see that these are making tons of money despite being very simple books yep I first stumbled on the sideous a while I was looking for a gift for my niece and nephew Amazon recommended this book to me and it astonished me because it is really basic each page features a simple drawing that has had some of its lines replaced with dots that's it yet the sales on it are nuts if we scroll down and we come and copy its best sellers Rank and and then put it into a sales calculator we can estimate that it's selling around 102 copies per day and 3,60 copies per month which means that we can estimate that this book is earning around $1,018 per day and over $330,000 per month and it gets even crazier because this author has published multiple dotto dot books and when you take their best seller ranking and you combine your estimated sales with the first book it comes to over $1,377 per day and over $41,000 per month wow and so this made me even more curious and I began to read the reviews to try and figure out if this book is self-published with Amazon's KDP service and there are lots of ways that you can self-publish books but if you're going to be honest while KDP isn't the cheapest it's probably the easiest you just create a free account and upload a PDF file of a book that you'd like to sell and then Amazon will list it for sale and each time someone buys your a book one of Amazon's print shops will automatically print your book and ship it directly to the customer and then they pay you a 60% commission minus printing costs it means in that it's a very passive way to earn money Amazon takes care of running your online storefront for you and they take care of the printing and shipping of your book they just send you a paycheck each month with your royalties and well I checked out the reviews and my results are that I suspect that this book was self-published with KDP because when reading reviews I saw that this book contains a lot of erors like duplicate numbers and even numbers that are printed backwards and while a professionally published book is always checked by an Editor to fix any errors like this so chances are this book was not professionally edited and instead was just self-published so yeah if you're watching this with imposter syndrome and you're like oh no Sarah I don't have the skills to create a book like this just remember that this $30,000 a month book literally has backward numbers so yeah the standard for making a successful book for Better or For Worse is surprisingly low but yes all of this made me even more curious and I began to wonder these books are aimed at kids right but what about adults do they like to buy books like this too and yep it turns out that they do take for example this most likely KDP published book here aimed at adults you can see it was published less than 6 months ago as of me filming this video August 2024 it has a very specific Niche and theme winter themed pictures and well if we take his ranking and put it into a sales estimator we can estimate it sold 480 copies in the past month despite being so new and so Niche so yes Niche doto do books AED at kids and adults are selling well too here are a few more examples of Niche books I found that are likely to be self-published earning over $1,000 per month based on their rank there were too many to share so don't worry I won't Bore You by showing you all of them but I wanted to show you a few of them to help inspire you with some ideas on niches that you could design a book around so then let's now move on to step two generate AI pictures with canva yes so to make our book we'll be using canva no other apps required if you have an account with canva go ahead and sign in now but of course if you don't I'll have an affiliate link to canva in the video description where you can get a free account using my affiliate link is entirely optional but it does support the channel so thank you if you choose to use it but yes either way make sure to sign up for a free 30day trial to their Pro account as this will get you a lot of free credits for their AI image generator then you can start by creating a customized project that is 8. 625 x 11. 25 in and the reason for this is because most dotto dot books are 8.

5 by 11 in and if you want to allow for page bleed which we do to be safe Amazon on the KDP formatting page requires that you use these measurements when designing your book so yes in canvas left side menu come and click on the magic media tab this will take you to Canvas AI content generation tool then come and select Graphics so I'll be using this AI image generator for this tutorial but if you'd prefer to use a different one like mid Journey or Dary 3 you can use those two it's up to you but for the sake of keeping things as easy as possible I'm just going to stick to canvas for this tutorial and inside of this one you can actually select what style you want your graphic to look like and for a dotto DOT probably the monol line style is the one that most people will want then type in what Niche image you want canva to create and it will generate it for you it will create four different variations that you can pick from and if you like one and you want more of it you can get Cana to take a picture and create variations of it for you to choose from and so in this case here it's actually quite helpful because it generated a simpler more minimalist version for me which gave me more options but yes either way once you have your image we'll then make two tweaks to it again using canvas AI so firstly click on the image and select to edit it then inside the editing tools select to upscale it and upscale it in the highest resolution that canva will allow cana's AI will now upscale the image to a higher resolution so it will print nice and sharply once it's finished upscaling click to replace it to switch it with the new higher resolution image then next you can use the Magic Eraser tool and the editing options and you can draw over any parts of the image that you want canva to erase and select to delete them canvas AI will redraw the image removing those parts for you and you can also size the brush so that you can paint over smaller details if you like so for me I use this tool to remove all of the little dots inside of the starfish but yes once You' finished editing it we can move on to step three which is turning our AI image into a DOT to Dot and this is actually really easy so click on the background of your project to open up a menu tab and select position and open up the layer tab this is going to be very important next click on your AI image and select to duplicate it you'll also see in our layer tab that is now showing as a layer on top of the First with this layer and image selected click on the transparency button and set it all the way to zero then select your first layer again that has your image visible right click your image and select to edit it and again click the Magic Eraser tool now go through and draw over any of the lines that you would like to replace with dots and then select to erase them then back in the layer tab select your top layer and select transparency and dial it up a little now you'll be able to see a gray outline where you erased your lines previously and so this is now going to be our guide for adding in our dots move this image on top of your first image so now come and click on the elements Tab and open up the shapes Tab and then click on the circle shape and set the color of it to be black and then make it just a little bit thicker than your line art and then place it on top of your grade out line then just duplicate the circle and again place it on your grade out line SP facing it out and keep duplicating your circles adding them along the grayed out line out to turn it into a dotted line so yes go ahead and duplicate and place circles all around the sections that you want to turn into a DOT to Dot and then after that you can just come back and delete your transparent AI image and now we've got three more small tweaks that we need to do first we will number each dot to dot open up the text element Tab and add text and type the number one into it and select an easy to read font like Caro and then drag and drop it to be close to your first dot then duplicate the text box and replace it with the number two and place it next to the well next Dot and then that's it just keep duplicating your text box with new numbers numbering each of the dots in your image and then once you've done that we'll soften the edges of our lines and to do that come back to Canvas elements Tab and open up at shapes Tab and select the circle shape and make it black then drag and drop it to the edges of each of the jagged lines and turn the circle into an oval and add it to the edge of the line softening it into a nice round curve and that by the way is a canva trick and hack that I invented but just go ahead and add each of these small tweaks to all of your images so take this one here for example I made a few more tweaks to it I opened up the Magic Eraser and I got rid of some extra black marks and lines of the starfish and then once you've got it looking the way that you want it just hold and drag a cursor over all of the elements on the page and highlight and select all of them at once and click to group them all together and so now as you can see we can move the elements all together which is going to be very helpful for the next step which is step four we're now going to turn our DOT to dots into a book ready file and Export it yes so once you finished creating all of your doto do images we can go in and turn them into a book ready file and the first thing we're going to do is we're going to click to add a blank page after each dot to Dot and that is actually quite important because the way they adopted book is usually printed is that on the left side of the page is blank and then the image is printed onto the right side and so this is how you achieve this effect Within canva by having these blank pages next to your content pages and then after that we're going to add a margins because you see here's the thing right when Publishers like Amazon print books this process is not perfect that is why you have margins it's essentially just empty space around your important content because that way if anything it's cut off during the printing process it's not going to be the important parts of your content and on Amazon's KDP publishing guidelines the margin for books under 150 Pages like ours with bleed is 0. 375 in so we'll just visually add these in now by creating a border around our page and canva come to settings and make sure it's set to show rulers and guides then zoom in on your project and put your cursor on the left side ruler and drag it along until you hit 0. 375 this will form a line guide don't worry this won't print onto your book it's just a visual editing guide within canva then do the same again but this time drag a cursor from the top ruler until it hits 0.

375 and creates a line then back in elements open up the shapes tab again and this time select a rectangle and then add a rectangle filling in the horizontal line then duplicate this rectangle and place it on the bottom creating both your top top and bottom border line then next add in a rectangle filling in the vertical line and then duplicate this rectangle and place it on the right side creating both your left and right margin border and so now we have our safe printing area that we can resize and place our DOT to dot image in and you can also go ahead and use canvas text elements to add in any extra text such as a little title to each of your pages and then once you've got each of your pages looking the way that you want go ahead and delete the margin borders on each of these Pages then just come and click share and click download and change your file type to be PDF for printing then with it set to RGB click download and that's it once it's finished downloading you'll have your book and then we can move on to step five which is that we're now going to create a book cover and you've got two options here one option is of course that you can hire a graphic designer to design it for you or you can just design it yourself for free within canva and probably the easiest and cheapest way to hire a designer is to just pick one on fiber that specializes in book covers I really like this $10 designer so if you like them too I'll have an affiliate link to them in the description below but yes of course the second option is just to design it yourself for free using canva and I think that the easiest way to do this is to come and search for book canvas within canvas templates to see what other people have already created so that you can use it as inspiration for designing your own cover so for me I went and did a search for coloring book cover templates to use for inspiration since no one has yet made any dotto DOT book covers because that is a very unsaturated Niche but lots of people have made coloring book cover templates and if you think about it this Niche overlaps a lot with the dot to dot Niche so yes by doing that I found this template here which I really liked then I downloaded a copy of my AI image and I put it into photopia a free Photoshop clone and I colored in the background of the image making it white instead of transparent then I opened up my book cover template and I customized it first I got rid of the images I didn't want then I switched around the colors I changed the yellow color to a light blue and I picked a darker blue for the background then I modified the text changing it to match the niche I picked for my DOT to dot which was the ocean and then because I quite liked the little white flakes I played around with these and I duplicated them and added an additional Flex for the textt background next I came and did a search for ocean wave graphic and I filled the results to show free images free clip art from canva has a lot less license restrictions which is why I chose to stick to free clip art instead of using the pro clip art then I uploaded my edited AI image and again I edited this in photo by default AI images from canva have transparent background so IID colored this in using photo to make it white to stand out on the cover and then after a few placement tweaks that was it and so then once once you have your cover looking the way that you want drag a cursor over your design to select all of your elements and click to group them all together then next come to this website here the Amazon KDP cover calculator this lets you input your book information and it will tell you how big your book cover jacket should be including your book's front cover back cover and spine cover you can also download a visual copy of your cover which is super helpful then come back to Cana and select to resize your design and we're going to resize it to the cover size calculated by Amazon which was 17447 in by 11. 25 in and when you do that canvas's AI technology will automatically resize your design with these new dimensions then come and upload that KDP book cover template that we downloaded from Amazon and resize it to fit the page then right click it and under layer options select to send it to the back and lower its transparency settings to make it partially transparent then take your grouped cover page design and drag it into the empty white front cover space of your template now you can go in and delete your KDP cover template image and you can resize any color shapes to fill the entire canvas size like I did here and then that's it and you can now go in and choose to add any pictures or text into the back part of your cover but it's actually entirely optional you only have to have content for your front cover but yes either way once it's finished to export your cover click Click Share and click download and again select PDF for print as the file type and keep it at RGB and then select download it and now we're going to upload our book to Amazon KDP and I found the process surprisingly simple especially if like me you choose to use chat GPT to help you complete it which I will show you how to do shortly but yes to get started just come to the sign up page and select to join KDP then once you've joined it click create and then on the next page we will select to add a p back book and after that scroll down and give your book a title and a subtitle and of course this is where chat GPT is super helpful I told it what my book was about who it was for and asked it to create an Amazon KDP optimized title and subtitle for me to maximize my free Amazon search traffic and I asked it to give me different options to choose from as well so that I could mix match and edit these with my own ideas then next we will scroll down and fill out the next required section which is the author name and you can use any name that you want you can even use a fake Anonymous pen name if you like then scroll down to the description and write one in here and again chat GPD is super helpful here what we can do is we can copy the description for a book that is already popular and a best seller on Amazon and paste it into cat gbt and ask it to come up with variations of different descriptions for us that we can use for our book based on this and then pick one that you like for your description and make any tweaks to it that you like then next tick that you own the rights to your book and tick that no a book is not sexually explicit then next come and pick your book category and when choosing this you can check to see what category that already popular top selling books are in then next come and add in any keywords and again this is where chat GPT is super helpful you can tell Cat GPT that you want keyword ideas for your KDP book to optimize it for the Amazon search algorithm to get free traffic and it is amazing at coming up with keywords that you can use but yes once you've done that head on over to the next page and on this page you can click to get a free ISBN which is very cool an ISBN is a unique book identification number that lets you add a barcode to your book and usually you have to pay $125 just to buy one of these but if you click to assign a free ISB in Amazon will just give you one for free which honestly is an amazing bargain then next make sure that you're printing your book on white paper with black ink and make sure that your Trum size is set to be 8.
