Seven things God is telling you to stop doing immediately. They're ruining your soul. Let's get one thing straight right now.
God isn't waiting for you to be perfect. He's waiting for you to be obedient. [music] You've been asking for breakthrough.
You've been praying for peace. You've been wondering why things aren't shifting in your life. But maybe, just maybe, God's not waiting on them to change.
He's waiting on you to stop. There are things you've been carrying that were never meant to stay. Habits that are draining your strength.
[music] Mindsets that are poisoning your faith. Relationships that are pulling you away from God, not pushing you closer. And deep down, you know [music] it.
This isn't about condemnation. It's not about shame. It's about clarity.
Because if the enemy can't destroy you, he'll distract you. If he can't pull you into darkness, [music] he'll keep you lukewarm. And if he can't make you stop believing, he'll settle for you, not living fully surrendered.
But God didn't rescue you so you could stay stuck. He didn't bring you this far to watch you go in circles. He's calling you to step out, to grow up, to come higher.
[music] But to do that, there are some things you have to leave behind. These are not just suggestions. They are urgent wake-up calls.
Because the longer you hold on, the more you'll miss out on what God has next. So lean in. This is not just a list.
It's a divine interruption. Here are seven things God wants you to stop doing now before they cost you your calling, your clarity, and your closeness to him. Number one, stop trying to control everything.
You keep asking me to move, but you won't take your hands off the wheel. You want peace. >> [music] >> But you won't stop planning every outcome.
You want rest, but your mind never slows down. You say you trust me, but deep down you trust yourself more. [music] And that's why you're exhausted.
Control is not a fruit of the spirit. It's the fruit of fear. And fear will always make you act like God while pushing me off the throne.
Child, you weren't designed to carry this much. You weren't created to be the solution to every [music] problem. You weren't meant to play savior.
That role is already filled. I know you mean well. You want to protect what's precious.
You want to prevent heartbreak. [music] You want to make sure nothing falls apart. But in your attempt to hold everything together.
You've stopped letting me be the one who holds you. Let me remind you, the Red Sea didn't split because Moses made a plan. It split because he raised his hand in obedience.
And let me do the impossible. Peace doesn't come when the plan works. Peace comes when you trust me, even if it doesn't.
So today, stop trying to predict every detail. Stop replaying every worst case scenario. Stop micromanaging people, outcomes, [music] and even your own future.
It's not control. It's a cage, and you're locking yourself inside of it. I'm not asking you to stop caring.
I'm asking you to stop clinging. I'm not asking you to stop dreaming. I'm asking you to stop striving because real freedom begins when you say, "God, [music] I'm not the driver.
I'm the passenger. Take me where you want me to go. " Surrender isn't weakness.
It's warfare. It tells the enemy. I don't have to know the outcome because I know the one who holds it.
So breathe, let go, and watch what happens when you finally stop trying to be God and start [music] trusting the one who is. Number two, stop feeding toxic thoughts. You keep wondering why your joy is gone, why your peace [music] is short-lived, why you feel spiritually stuck, but the truth is [music] you can't walk in freedom while feeding poison to your mind.
Every day you're thinking things that I never spoke over you. You call yourself worthless. I call you chosen.
You say you'll never change. I say you're being made new. You think no [music] one cares.
I left heaven to prove I do. But if the only voice you listen to [music] is your fear, your failure, or your past. You'll never walk into the future I died to give you.
Toxic thoughts are not harmless. They are strongholds. They start as whispers, [music] but they build walls.
They wrap around your identity, distort your vision, and strangle [music] your faith. And you keep replaying them because somewhere along the line, you started believing they were true. But just because it feels real doesn't mean it's from me.
I said, "Take every thought captive, not entertain it. " I said, "Renew your mind, not recycle your trauma. " I said, "Set your mind on things above, not spiral into every lie the enemy throws your way.
" You don't fight these thoughts by trying harder. You fight them by replacing them with truth. And truth is not a motivational quote.
Truth is a person. Truth is me. I gave you the word not just for study, but for survival.
It's not just inspiration. It's a weapon. When the enemy whispers lies, you silence [music] him with scripture.
When fear rises up, you remind it who's already won. Your thoughts will either be your prison or your platform, your battlefield, [music] or your breakthrough. So, stop feeding the voice that wants to destroy you.
Stop replaying [music] pain that I already healed. Stop agreeing with lies that never came from me. You don't have to entertain [music] every thought that knocks on the door of your mind.
Some of them need to be thrown out. Some of them need to be confronted. and all of them need to bow to the name of Jesus.
Today, choose what gets to stay. Filter your thoughts through my truth, not your trauma. Because as long as you keep feeding toxic thoughts, you'll keep starving your spirit.
But when you renew your mind, [music] you don't just think different, you live different. Number three, stop running from conviction. Let's be [music] real, conviction doesn't feel good.
It stings. It's uncomfortable. It exposes what you wanted to keep hidden.
But hear me. Conviction is not me pushing you away. It's me pulling [music] you back.
You keep saying this is just who I am. But that's not identity. That's an excuse.
I didn't save you to leave you in cycles. I didn't wash you clean so you could jump back in the mud. Conviction isn't judgment.
It's invitation. Invitation [music] to change. invitation to freedom.
Invitation to healing. But every time you ignore it, your heartens. Every time you silence it, your soul becomes more numb.
And eventually, you don't even feel me knocking anymore. You were never meant to walk in guilt. But you were meant to walk in growth.
And growth requires truth. Not watered down, feelgood, ego soothing words, but truth that cuts deep so it can heal deeper. That thing I keep pressing on in your heart.
It's not because I'm mad at you. It's because I love you too much to leave it alone. You can hide it from others.
You can justify it to [music] yourself, but you can't run from me. And why would you want to? Don't you know that the very thing I'm pointing out is the very thing that's poisoning you?
That attitude, that addiction, that unforgiveness, that compromise [music] you keep calling grace. It's not freedom if you're still a slave to it. I said if you hear my voice, do not harden your heart.
That [music] means stop brushing it off. Stop saying later. Stop convincing yourself it's not a big deal.
[music] Because every time you delay repentance, you're choosing bondage over blessing. So let me deal with it now before it grows roots, before it [music] spreads, before it steals more than it already has. You don't need to run from conviction.
You need to run with it, straight to me. I won't shame you. I won't condemn you.
I'll meet you in the middle of your mess and walk you out of it if you let me. So, stop running. Stop hiding.
Stop numbing yourself just to feel okay because you weren't created to be okay. You were created to be holy, whole, [music] and healed. Number four, stop settling for spiritual [music] comfort zones.
I never called you to be comfortable. I called you to be obedient. And yet, [music] you've built a life around safety.
You've gotten good at doing just enough to look spiritual, but not enough to truly grow. You sing the songs, but your heart isn't surrendered. You read the word, but don't apply it.
You pray, but only when you're desperate. You go to church, but you've stopped going deeper. Comfort feels good, [music] but it kills your calling.
You weren't made to camp in the shallow end. You were made to walk on water. But water walkers don't get to keep one foot in the boat.
You say, "God, [music] take me higher. " But when I try to stretch you, you pull back. You resist growth because it requires discomfort.
[music] But let me remind you, nothing grows without pressure. That fear you keep entertaining, [music] it's not protecting you, it's paralyzing you. Some of you have been circling the same mountain for years.
You've let fear of failure stop you from trying. You've let wounds from your past stop you from trusting. You've let comfort convince you that this is good enough.
But good enough is the enemy of God's best. Stop waiting for courage to feel easy. It won't.
Stop waiting to feel ready. You won't. Obedience comes before clarity.
Faith comes before fruit. Action comes before outcome. I'm calling you to launch into the deep, to pray louder, to love harder, to give without fear, to obey when it's uncomfortable, [music] to move when it doesn't make sense.
Because your destiny is not in the comfort zone, it's in the obedience zone. You can stay where it's safe and spiritual sounding. Or you can step into the unknown and actually see my glory.
The [music] choice is yours. But know this, I didn't save you to live a manageable life. I saved you to live a miraculous one.
Number five, stop giving people God's place. You've made them the center of your world when I'm the one who gave you breath in the first place. Let's talk truth.
You've let people become idols. You've let their opinions shape your identity. [music] You've let their approval determine your worth.
You've let their presence bring you peace and their absence steal it. That's not love. That's idolatry.
You keep saying I just can't live without them. But I'm the one who died so you could live at all. Listen [music] to me.
No one else is qualified to sit on the throne of your heart but me. When you place people in my seat, they will fail you. They will drain you.
They will disappoint you because they were never meant to be your source. [music] They were meant to be your assignment, your blessing, your community, but never your god. Some of you have stayed in toxic relationships because you worship connection more than obedience.
You've kept people close who keep pulling you away from me. You've ignored red flags because your need for attention has replaced your need for truth and it's costing you more than you realize. I said you shall have no other gods before me.
That includes romantic partners. That includes spiritual leaders. That includes friends and family.
People can love you. They can walk with you. They can encourage you, but they cannot complete you.
I'm the only one who knows you fully and loves you completely. I'm the only one who will never leave or forsake you. I'm the only one who deserves your worship.
[music] So, stop handing your peace to people who didn't die for you. Stop letting humans define what I already declared. Stop elevating voices that don't speak from my spirit.
Because when I'm in my rightful place, everything else finds its rightful place, too. Put me back where I belong, and you'll stop being disappointed by people who were never meant to carry what only I can hold. Number six, stop making excuses for your disobedience.
Let's stop sugar coating it. Delayed obedience is still disobedience, and partial obedience is still rebellion. You keep saying, "I'm waiting on God.
" But what if I told you God is waiting on you? You've already heard the instruction. You've already felt the nudge.
You've already had confirmation after confirmation. But instead of moving, you're making excuses. It's not the right time.
I'm not qualified. I need to pray about it more. No, you don't need another prophecy.
You need obedience. Every excuse you make builds a wall between you and what I've called you to do. I didn't ask you if it was convenient.
I asked if you would trust me. You say, "But I'm afraid. " And I say, "I didn't give you a spirit of fear.
" You say, "But I'm broken. " And I say, "My strength is made perfect in weakness. " You say, "But I failed before.
" And I say, "Behold, I make all things new. " I'm not calling you because you're perfect. I'm calling you because you're mine.
But understand this. Every time you resist me, you train your heart to ignore me. [music] And eventually, what used to stir you will stop moving you altogether.
There are doors I want to open. There are people I want to reach through you. There are chains that will never break [music] until you finally say yes.
So stop telling yourself you'll do it later. Later is not promised. Later is how destinies die.
You say you love me, then obey me. Not when it's easy, not when you feel ready, but now. Because every step of obedience releases power.
And every act of surrender brings heaven closer. So no more excuses, no more waiting for perfect conditions, no more blaming your past, your pain, or your personality. I didn't ask for your perfection.
I asked for your yes. Number seven, stop living like this world is your home. You're not staying here forever.
So why are you living like you are? You weren't created for this world's applause, approval, or agenda. You were created for eternity.
You were made for the kingdom. But somewhere along the way, you got too comfortable, too entangled, [music] too invested in things that don't last. You spend more time chasing followers than chasing me.
More energy protecting your image than guarding your soul. More focus on your platform than on your purpose. But hear me clearly.
This world is not your home. [music] It's your assignment. It's temporary.
Everything you see is fading. [music] The clothes, the cars, the status, the spotlight. But your spirit that's forever.
So stop living like comfort is the goal. Stop playing it safe. Stop bowing to culture.
Stop blending in with the world I've called you to stand out from. You can't walk in kingdom authority while living on worldly principles. You can't say, "Thy kingdom come and keep chasing what the world loves.
You can't serve me and still try to please everyone else. " I said to store up treasure in heaven. Not in storage units, [music] not in Instagram likes, not in temporary titles.
Set your mind on things above. [music] Live like you're leaving. Live like your life is a seed, not a monument.
Because when you live for eternity, you stop being shaken by temporary things. They can cancel you, mock you, misunderstand you, but they can't touch your reward. So stop clinging to what's fading, and start living like someone who's just passing through.
You're not a citizen of earth trying to get to heaven. You're a citizen of heaven on assignment here on earth. Conclusion: God isn't holding out on you.
He's calling you higher. Let's be real. These aren't just bad [music] habits.
They're barriers. They're the things standing between who you are and who God created you to become. They're the silent killers of purpose, peace, and power.
And God's not asking you to stop because he's mad at you. He's asking because he wants to set you free. [music] He wants to fill you, but he won't pour into a vessel already full of compromise.
He wants to lead you, but he can't. If you're clinging to your own direction, he wants to bless you, but not if it means blessing your bondage. You've been asking for new levels, [music] but new levels require new levels of surrender.
You've been praying for breakthrough. But sometimes breakthrough only comes after a breakdown of pride, [music] fear, and excuses. So now that you've heard the truth, what are you going to do?
[music] You can walk away unchanged, or you can walk away unbound. Because these seven things, they're not just what God wants you to stop. [music] They're the very things hell hopes you'll hold on to.
Let go. Let go of the lies, the control, the comfort, the compromise. Let go of everything God never gave you and pick up everything he did.
[music] You weren't called to survive. You were called to rise. And you don't have to wait until January.
You don't need another sign. [music] You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need to say, "Yes, Lord.
I'm done doing it my way. " Because the moment you stop doing what he never called you to do, you'll finally be free to step into everything he created you for. Now go not back to the old version of you, but forward into the new life that starts when obedience begins today.
Right now. No more delays.
