was you know old school contractor dude so John gets this idea and he's like hey Dad I think that we can run ads on social media and the ad can say something like hey if you're thinking about remodeling your house don't do anything until you read this special report and his dad finally begrudgingly was like sure you can run the ad whatever so they started getting leads and that was really good and this is where Jon's true genius came in to play because like what most people do when they get leads is they send them

some emails and stuff and you know maybe one or two and then they always say oh I got to get more leads you know I need more sales in my business JN didn't think that way John thought like way more practically so what he would do is as soon as a new lead would come in like immediately he would just sit at the computer and watch and as soon as a new lead would come in he would pick up the phone and he would call them but John was cool and he wasn't like salesy or

high pressure weird or any of that stuff that nobody likes instead he would just call him and he would be like uh Sally and she go yeah and he go this is John from Facebook you filled out our ad about getting your your house remodeled and she go oh oh yeah right and then he would ask a simple question question he would say um all right cool well I'm sending the info to you that you requested um if I could ask how soon are you looking to get your kitchen remodeled or your house remodeled or

whatever and if they said they were looking to do it soon like in the next 90 days or so he would say this oh okay great well would you like us to come out and take a look and give you an estimate and most of the time they said yes now you want to guess why this was so easy for them and why most people said yes please come out and give us an estimate it's because nobody ever actually calls their leads but John did so they would say yeah sure come on out give us

an estimate so they would give them an estimate and most of the time they'd be like okay sounds good you're hired let's do it and that simple strategy started working they started getting more money and they started to getting more money and in fact it ended up being the best year of John's father's business ever remember he had been in business for 20 years it worked so well that they had to stop getting leads because they didn't have enough manpower to do all of the jobs that people wanted to hire them for and this is

where it gets completely crazy they did all of this during covid right at the height of the pandemic and they did this when nobody was supposed to have any money if you remember remember like during that whole thing the economy was terrible and everybody was freaked out and you weren't even supposed to be going to people's houses or doing any sort of social interaction or else you could get in trouble but somehow during all of this time they used this one simple strategy to get people to remodel their houses of all things and they ended
