living a life of profound significance means recognizing the fleeting nature of our Earthly existence against the backdrop of Eternity attending churches that are influenced by worldly Trends and values represents a critical misstep in the spiritual journey of an individual who acknowledges the gravity of their Eternal existence worldly churches driven by the transi and often superficial concerns of contemporary Society risk obscuring the profound spiritual truths that speak to the core of our being such institutions May prioritize material success social Conformity and temporal satisfaction over the Timeless teachings of Christ which Center on self-sacrifice spiritual growth and
the pursuit of Holiness this Distortion not only diverts Believers from the path of True Discipleship but also neglects the reality of our Eternal Destiny the scriptures warn us not to love the world or the things in the world for all that is in the world the desires of the flesh the desires of the eyes and the pride of life is not from the father but is from the world and we see this in 1 John 2: 15-1 17 do not spend the one life you have to live in churches that are shaped by the world
churches that are shaped and moved by the trends of this world there are churches that are so clouded by this life and the cares of this life that all they do is focus on the cares of this life this world and all that is in this world and they neglect the fact that you are an eternal being they neglect the fact that you will never cease to exist and this life you are currently living is just a drop in the ocean of time you will exist there are churches that Focus solely on the concerns of
this world how to get more money how to get married by a certain age how to get your next breakthrough how to be the best you how to achieve your goals none of these things are evil wrong or Wicked I encourage you to make money to get married to better your life however I am warning you today not to miss out on eternity with our lord Jesus Christ because your eyes were so focused on this life there are churches that are only focused on worldly things worldly Ambitions and that is a mistake there are churches
that Focus solely on the things the flesh desires I encourage you I implore you to stay away from such churches stay away from churches such as these do you understand this one fact this one single fact you men and you women only have one life and with this one life you and I have we are heading to an eternal Destiny not many lives but only one life why waste the one life you have in a church that does not tell you the truth a church that does not tell you the truth but a church that
tells you what your flesh wants to hear and not what you need to hear only one single life one single life that is so very brief I am not talking about a thousand years I am not even talking about 500 years I am not even talking about 100 years I am talking about less than 100 years the average life expectancy in developed countries varies typically ranging between 75 to 85 years life is very short all of us within a 100 years will be gone from this world and forgotten every single person listening to me will
be Little More Than A Memory within a 100 years if that however we will not cease to exist why then spend our lives in churches that focus our eyes on this world Mark 8:36 for what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul in this very brief life a man or woman can gain the whole world and in this same brief life a man or woman can lose their very Soul there is no time to lose for you and I have no idea no idea whatsoever how
long we have left in this brief life this tells me that each hour is of measureless value each minute is of sacred importance do not waste your life in a church that will deceive you into the very gates of hell do not waste your life in a church that will deceive you into living a life that lives for now and not eternity do not waste your life in a church that will deceive you into living a life that everything you live for ends in this life every death is a reminder of this one verse Hebrews
9: 27 and as it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the Judgment judgment is coming for you and I judgment is coming for you and I judgment is a real thing ladies and gentlemen and it is coming our days are numbered on this Earth do not attend churches that attempt to get you to focus on Pleasure seeking and the lusts of the flesh Psalm 90: 10 to2 the days of our years are three score years and 10 and if by reason of strength they be four score Years yet is their strength
labor and sorrow for it is soon cut off and we fly away who knoweth the power of th thine anger even according to thy fear so is thy wrath so teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom Psalm 90:12 with its poignant plea so teach us to number our days reflects Moses's profound contemplation on the Frailty of human existence and the righteous Judgment of God in his reflection Moses recognizes the imperative need for wisdom in comprehending the brevity of Life the phrase so teach us signifies the necessity for this
wisdom to be acquired deliberately it is not inherently possessed but must be actively pursued and internalized Moses's plea suggests a stark reality often overlooked the transient nature of Life many people Traverse through their days with little awareness of life's fleetingness failing to acknowledge the significance of each passing moment particularly among the youth there often exists a sense of invincibility an assumption that time is boundless and Limitless consequently little thought is given to the eventualities beyond the confines of Earthly existence however Moses's inent treaty encapsulates a deeper truth a truth that transcends mere temporal consideration by
urging God to impart the wisdom to number our days Moses implores for insight into the profundity of human mortality and the Eternal implications thereof it is a call to recognize the finite nature of Earthly life and the imperative to allocate time with intentionality and purpose the man who numbers his days remembers life isn't permanent therefore he lives his life as though life isn't permanent too many people in our age live as though it is permanent and this is promoted by many churches the man who is aware of his mortality is aware that he will one
day experience it and will go to answer God therefore he or she lives a life that will one day give account to a holy God attend a church that preaches about the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob the God who sees all and who will one day judge all the Living God look at the Old Testament Saints the Old Testament Saints served a living God and today as I preach this sermon to you I want to tell you to attend churches that serve the Living God and Moses served the Living God Psalm 103:7 he made
known his ways to Moses his acts to the children of Israel [Music] Moses asked to be taught God's ways so he can know God Exodus 33:13 now therefore I pray if I have found Grace in your sight show me now your way that I may know you and that I may find Grace in your sight and consider that this nation is your people and how Moses came to know the Lord God allowed Moses to look into his heart and his mind Moses was able to go beyond just seeing God's acts God revealed to Moses things
about God that other humans could not see look at the life of Moses and how God revealed himself to him Moses was born into slavery in Egypt at a time where pharaoh commanded that all male Israelite children were to be killed once he was born he spent his early months hidden away until his mother and sister Miriam made a basket of rushers and hid Baby Moses in the now River and left him to float down the river Pharaoh's daughter found Moses and draws him out of the river and decides to raise him as her own
and and then Moses grows up in the Egyptian court but is aware that he is of Hebrew origin and on one particular day he witnesses an Egyptian slave master beating a Hebrew man to death enraged Moses kills the Egyptian slave master fearing the penalty for his rash killing of the Egyptian Moses flees Into the Wilderness and for 40 years Moses lives as a Shepherd among the people of the Sinai Peninsula God spoke to Moses out of a burning bush telling him go down to Egypt and confront pharaoh and tell him let my people go and
God caused the stick to turn into a snake Pharaoh in his stubbornness refused to listen to Moses so God fought for his people using nature the plagues came forth water turned to blood the frogs came forth and slept in the beds of pharaoh and his people lice and flies locusts came forth and took over the lands of Egypt and God kept warning Pharaoh over and over again let my people go but Pharaoh remained stubborn and the pestilence and the boils and the hail storms and the Lightnings flashed and thunder roared and in Exodus we see
God revealing himself to Moses EX Exodus 33:1 17-23 and the Lord said to Moses I will do the very thing you have asked because I am pleased with you and I know you by name then Moses said now show me your glory and the Lord said I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you and I will Proclaim my name the Lord in your presence I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion but he said you cannot see my face
for no one may see me and live then the Lord said there is a place near me where you may stand on a rock when my glory passes by I will put you in a Clift in the Rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by then I will remove my hand and you will see my back but my face must not be seen whil the angel stood by and observed God protected Moses as God passed by Moses God gave Moses a specific place to stand and he was not allowed to see
the face of God Moses could only see God's back the idea is that Moses could only see behind God not God himself whilst the Angels stood by and observed this moment this tremendous moment where a human man saw the back of God God had to protect Moses for if he did not Moses would have died to see the face of God our mortal bodies and all its sin cannot stand in such Purity and Holiness and Glory Hebrews 9: 27 and as it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the Judgment judgment is
coming for you and I judgment is coming for you and I judgment is a real thing ladies and gentlemen and it is coming our days are numbered on this Earth do not attend churches that attempt to get you to focus on Pleasure seeking and the lusts of the flesh
