distinct from us however if we shift our Focus to spiritual teachings they remind us that this perception is Just an Illusion our true self is not confined to our own body or our own mind in fact our true self is an infinite Consciousness that permeates all of existence as your focus shifts from thinking you're an isolated being to embracing the fact that you're connected to the whole universe it leads you to question who exactly am I don't worry it's important that we ask this fundamental question and try to find the answer to it in this
journey towards Enlightenment so who are you beyond the physical layers of of identity what exactly is the core of your being let's explore in the words of the spiritual teacher nadata Maharaj the body is not you the mind is not you you are pure awareness this statement challenges the mundane understanding we have of ourselves we often think that our true self is our body or our mind but both your body and your mind change with time your body grows and shrinks your mind grows as well so what is that one thing that defines us and
never changes it is the true essence of our existence our unchanging awareness that observes our physical Sensations our thoughts and all our emotions this pure awareness doesn't come to the surface but it's always working in the background as a Silent Witness like an eternal presence that always remains constant no matter how the experiences of our life change that is what you truly are the biggest mistake we make in our life is forgetting our true nature because of a silent killer our ego the ego is constantly telling us that we are a unique individual and we
are separate from the universe these thoughts not only end up masking our true nature but they also become the source of many suffer sufferings as it keeps us in an illusion of Separation if you truly want to be enlightened you need to transcend the ego and recognize that you are an infinite Consciousness not an isolated being when we Embrace this realization we break the shackles of our ego and reveal our true infinite and interconnected nature now let us delve into how we can embark on the journey to towards Enlightenment and free ourselves from the ego
before you can embark on the journey to Enlightenment you need to understand Enlightenment doesn't mean becoming better or happier out of nowhere Enlightenment is actually getting rid of an untruth Enlightenment is getting rid of what you thought was true and embracing your true self it is the profound realization of your true nature and the ultimate goal in your spiritual journey when you finally attain a state of Enlightenment you fully understand and experience your connection with the universe it's not like you become something new you simply remember who you truly are something that you forgot along
the way the first step in the journey to Enlightenment is a process of self-discovery and inner transformation this means we rid ourselves of the many layers of false beliefs that limit our potential and hide our true powerful nature this journey can be a challenging one considering it involves eliminating everything you thought was true and accepting a whole new reality this involves confronting the deepest parts of your behavior and letting it go however as challenging as it might be it is also a journey that brings you a whole lot of freedom because you start to understand
the true meaning of your existence and free yourself from any illusions that might be making you suffer just like the path to profound self-discovery another key aspect of your journey to Enlightenment is Awakening to the present moment one of the biggest faults we humans have in our behavior is being too preoccupied with the regrets of the past or the anxieties of the future we get so engrossed in the past and the future that we Overlook the actual beauty of Life the present moment when you bring your awareness and focus to the here and now you
start to experience life in a fuller manner you can connect with your true Essence in each moment you start to understand how the whole universe is connected to you in an intricate manner you start to understand that your life is not an isolated event but rather a deeply interconnected part part of the whole universe this is a very powerful tool it can awaken your true self and achieve a whole new level of self-realization on your path to Enlightenment there are two practices that will act like your best friend mindfulness and meditation both of these are
powerful practices that can help you become more aware of your thoughts and your emotions in a way that you are aware of of them but not controlled by them we don't realize this but we give our emotions too much power over us and when they control us we make decisions that we might end up regretting later that's why it is important that we connect with our inner self and align our actions with our True Divine Purpose something that mindfulness and meditation can help us achieve so let's explore the profound role of these practices in our
Enlightenment journey and understand how we can unlock their maximum potential in the words of th Nan the present moment is the only moment available to us and it is the door to all moments indeed the present moment is truly a gift and we need to focus on it that's what mindfulness is based on it is the practice of being fully present in each moment and embracing each moment with openness and without any sense of judgment this means we observe our thoughts feelings and Sensations in each moment and are fully aware of our existence in each
moment don't be mistaken mindfulness doesn't mean you have to actively make a huge effort and make your mind quiet it means you enter a state of quiet that's already there you think so many thoughts and stress about so many things on a daily basis that you end up losing the state of quiet you have hidden Within You by practicing mindfulness you rid yourself of all these thoughts and connect with the Tranquility inside you as you cultivate mindfulness you become more aware of your mental patterns and start to see through the illusions that are created by
your ego this helps you align all your actions with your true nature thus enabling you to live a more conscious and harmonious life mindfulness involves connection with the state of calm and quiet within you however another powerful tool in this journey is meditation which involves actively quieting down your mind and connecting with your inner self this practice involves quieting down any thoughts in your mind sitting in a silent and peaceful place and connecting deeply with your inner self and the divine by doing so you can transcend the worldly chatter in your mind and experience the
Stillness and peace that is Flowing Within You by regularly practicing meditation you can develop a deeper understanding of your true nature and cultivate a newfound sense of inner peace and Clarity in your existence there are various techniques when it comes to practicing meditation but the essence of all of them is the same still fill your mind and connect with the deeper parts of your being whether it be through focused attention meditation guided visualization meditation or Mantra repetition meditation regular practice can help you free yourself from the shackles of the ego and experience a profound peace
wisdom and Clarity that resides within you and connects you with the universe being truly enlightened and living a life of Enlightenment isn't a one-time process it involves completely transforming your life it involves cultivating compassion love and awareness in all moments in fact when you start to understand and embrace the fact that you're interconnected with the whole of the universe you naturally start to act in a way that doesn't only benefit you but benefits all beings you're connected to the whole universe you're connected to all the beings in it if you do something for the better
of another being the good comes back and reaches your life as well that's why it is crucial that you always act with a sense of compassion and love when we start to recognize and embrace our true nature and our interconnectedness with all beings in the universe our actions naturally start to become more kind loving and compassionate we start to realize that we get rewarded equally for the compassion that we put out for others we start to understand that other humans or living beings are not separate from us but rather they are an extension of us
and every one of us is deeply interconnected with each other and with the whole universe this helps us cultivate a sense of empathy in all our actions and encourages us to act in a way that supports the well-being of us and all other beings remember being loving and compassionate to other people is not a luxury that we can pick and choose it is a necessity and in all moments we should think and act with a sense of love and empathy towards all other beings another important part of living a life of Enlightenment is cultivating a
sense of awareness and presence in each moment it means you have to be fully engaged with life and all the moments it brings you you have to appreciate the beauty of each experience that you get and respond to situations with a sense of awareness Clarity and wisdom even if an experience seems bad at the moment you have to embrace it fully and resolve it right there in the moment when you're fully aware of each moment may it be a blessing or a challenge you start to navate at all of life's experiences with a sense of
Grace and confidence this helps you maintain a sense of Peace in each moment even if you're surrounded by nothing but chaos as you embark on the Journey of living a life of Enlightenment performing simple acts of kindness will act as the Cornerstone of the journey acts of kindness towards others leaves a profound impact on not just the life of others but also your own life when you extend compassion towards the people around you you contribute to the collective well-being of all beings and create a ripple effect of positivity these acts of kindness can be as
Tiny as lending a friend in need a listening ear and helping them with their troubles these kind acts are an expression of your true inner nature and when you engage in kind acts on a regular basis it can help you Foster a sense of unity and interconnectedness with the whole universe thus enlightening you and making you understand your true purpose as we conclude this video it is important to remember that this journey of Enlightenment is a personal experience and it might be unique for everyone this path is not a linear one it's not like you
