going to rob people he's going to use uh weapons and and commit violent acts yet they let him out without any kind of medication I mean that that to me is the failure of the system in this a court Doctor Who evaluated Swanson described the defendant's obsession with crime he had been uh quotes planning something to this degree including killing people Contin continuing the quote he said I have always been fascinated by death and violence and it was something that I wanted to do murder rape and cannibalism from what Mr Swanson told me his perspective

was people are going to die what difference does it make whether they die when they're 77 or whether he shoots it it's just not a big deal he he could not understand why everybody was getting so upset about this whole situation then in a sudden twist Swanson pleaded guilty to the murders I then intentionally deliberately and with premeditation shot the clerk causing her to die I did this with an specific intent to kill her during sentencing Bowman's emotional daughter addressed her mother's killer how could you do what you did to my mom and my family

killed his estranged wife Tiffany at her Cold Springs Township home in front of their four children Ferguson then took the children to his father-in-law's home and fatally shot 63-year-old James Weber the children managed to escape while Ferguson took a woman hostage and barricaded himself in her house before police arrested him they believed the reason behind the murders was a divorce case filed by Tiffany against Ferguson at his arraignment Ferguson had nothing but disdain and Defiance for the court you okay he even lashed out at the judge all right Mr fuson can I get you to

stand up there at the podium please all right I need to have you raise your right hand for me I'm believe this all right um pull me back my okay stop um as for Ferguson's Bond the prosecution argued for the highest amount possible the fact that the F has already murdered and murdered multiple people and fled and has taken hostages uh based on that information there's no doubt in my mind that this particular defendant uh has a high risk nonappearance or danger to the public the judge concurred we have two two murders we have issues

of flight home invasion kidnapping the defendant is facing life offenses I think a high bond is warranted under the circumstances to assure the the defendant's appearance in court I am going to I'm going to set it as a $10 million after deciding to plead guilty Ferguson repeatedly snapped and refused to comply okay well I'm not get into any detail of what happened if you want to be guilty you have to say what you did I'm all right because the respect and safety of my children mother I'm not saying nothing because they're going to see this

they don't need they don't need to hear that understand what I'm saying you know let's just make this painless and not give me give me my 100 years or whatever and give me the out of here that's what I'm trying to do you understand me I'm not doing this in front of these stupid cameras and these in breaks the judge called for a break but Ferguson was still fuming all right don't touch me eventually Ferguson calmed down and pleaded guilty to first and second degree murder and did you intend to kill him oh yeah all

right and did you think about whether or not you wanted to kill him and make a deliberate choice to do so no all right put a half a magazine and that he even requested the death penalty you can't give me the death penalty I see yall no during sentencing Tiffany's friend gave an emotional and Powerful Victim Impact statement I knew one day you would kill her she would always reply he loves his kids too much he won't kill me well we see how much you loved them you love them so much you murdered their mother

and grandfather why you could have just taken your own life and saved these poor kids their grandmother friends and Community a horrific pain do you have any idea of the emotional pain your kids your honor on behalf of the kids myself and all of Chip's friends and family please send Keith to prison for life without any chance for parole thank you Ferguson was also given a chance to speak but he showed no remorse this just a tragedy me me whatever before imposing the sentence judge George Ms had a few words for the defendant you can't

meet the clinical definition of insanity but there's clearly something fundamentally wrong with you um you're incapable of understanding that intentionally depriving an elderly woman of her husband for May for life for children of your mother uh to satisfy your own selfish urges Justice is something uh that deserves the most important and serious punishment you'll never never again have an opportunity to hurt an innocent people never again have the opportunity to be free ultimately Ferguson was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering two people while Keith Ferguson's courtroom Behavior was sickening

Adam has been here officer down during the standoff more open fire and shot de Mo's police officer Todd Roland in the hand my hand uh was mangled to the point where I could not um I could not grip my weapon I tried and I I I just it it wouldn't work and it was uh like something you see in a movie and it was just kind of surreal and uh it was it was a mess more then sexually assaulted Lynch before shooting her in the face more surrendered soon after he was charged with first-degree kidnapping

sexual abuse murder and attempted murder a short time later more surrenders inside police say his arange wife's dead body is laying on the floor he told me he killed her did he tell you why he killed her uh he said that he was upset because she wouldn't allow him to see his kids did he mention anything at all about this being an accident no Moore claimed he killed Lynch because he got upset when his wife didn't allow him to see his infant son after both sides presented their case it took the jurors just 3 hours

to decide Moore's fate we the jury find the defendant guilty of kidnapping in the first degree guilty of sexual abuse in the first degree guilty of attempt to commit murder at his sentencing Moore's mother-in-law took the stand and addressed her daughter's killer did to my daughter Teresa and Marie Lynch was evil hateful and Despicable you are now dead and rotting and repulsive to me before she could finish more interrupted and shot back at the The Grieving mother read the journal she wrote she hated you thank you she hated you you're a loser then he dropped

a bombshell and I'll tell you point blank I have not one ounce of remorse for trian's death it could have all been prevented all you had to do is let me see my kid now you're never going to see her again finally it was time for Moore to learn his sentence but not before veteran judge Joel Novak addressed the remorseless killer I just can't believe what I've heard but I I I am really glad you had your right of elocution and you could say everything that you said because if anybody didn't know what a piece

18 years to life in prison for the murder of Grover Watson while Tyrell Webster was an unrepining disrespectful killer what happens when a defendant Cuts up his own face like in the case of 27-year-old Nico Jenkins who's facing multiple murder charges in Omaha Nebraska back when he was just 17 Jenkins was convicted of armed robbery and sent to prison after being released in 2013 Jenkins went on a killing spree where he shot and robbed Juan paa and Jorge Ruiz police found the bodies in a car with their pockets turned inside out so white F-150 we

got two parties inside the vehicle appear to be shot in the head 8 Days Later the body of Curtis Bradford was discovered outside his garage with two bullet wounds in his back it was later revealed that Bradford was an acquaintance of Jenkins while they were both in prison Jenkins final victim was Andrea Krueger who was shot multiple times with a shotgun when Jenkins attempted to steal her car after Jenkins was arrested detectives were able to pin the murders on him do you not realize I got niiko Jenkins do you not realize that I got Nico

Jenkins I got you what do you mean you got me I got your DNA at the murder scene I got your DNA in the car I got the weapon I already you know I know who I know what I know when I know where but Jenkins claimed to be insane and said he committed the murders on the orders of the Egyptian snake God apus this is not just some psycho killer that just wanted to go trophy I am documenting psychiatrically disordered I'm documented chemically imbalanced this is a fact my religion of Kon that's the underworld

he was like I'm the mummy the black book so this was them this was ritual of sacrifice Jenkins also showed signs of self harm by inflicting several cuts to his face and body while incarcerated a court doctor concluded that Not only was Jenkins fit for trial but he was also extremely dangerous you wouldn't want to mess with Nico and be on his bad list I'll tell you right now eventually Jenkins pleaded no contest and waved his right to a jury trial which meant a panel of three judges would decide whether he was innocent or guilty

the defendants Commission of these four murders over a 10day period is one of the worst killing sprees in the history of this state each one of these murders was a deliberate and planned act the victims were pre-selected and the murders were purposeful this panel finds that the death penalty is appropriate should be and is hereby given for each of the four murders by the defendants ultimately the remorseless serial killer who terrorized the state of Nebraska was sentenced to death while Nico jenkins's horrific courtroom appearance kept everyone up at night what happens when a defendant throws

a table at the judge like in the case of Jalil Hoskins who's accused of killing his girlfriend in Kent County Michigan in March 2013 police responded to a domestic violence call made by 26-year-old Latrice May against her boyfriend julil Hoskins neither one of you have any injuries so at this point I know the two of you aren't getting along this morning but I don't have enough to one but I can tell you guys getting now certainly I can't make you leave can't make him leave the officers offered to take ma someplace safe but she refused

if you have somewhere you can go uh maybe I can give you a ride there if you don't have anywhere to go I can take you to a shelter um and if you don't want to do either of those you don't have to in fact you can stay here hours later Hoskin strangled ma to death and dumped her body at an apartment complex her body was never recovered as police believed it to be incinerated Hoskins was arrested and charged with open murder but he maintained his innocence did you kill Latrice ma no I did not

however witness upon witness lined up to testify against Hoskins at his trial she told me U after after the domestic or whatever happened uh I guess I guess she after they left she she said she was going to tell the police that he stabbed uh her baby daddy I guess she went in the bathroom I guess he was thinking about it thinking about what about doing it doing what kill her I guess he choked her or something did he say he choked her yes he said I did her I need her I need some help

she I can't carry her by myself eventually Hoskins pleaded guilty to second-degree murder much to the relief of the victim's family members Hoskins plead guilty to Second deegree murder and tampering with evidence it's just a relief uh to know that you know it's all said and done um and that he finally admitted to his guilt of uh choking her and uh putting her body in the dumpster and Disposal you know off her body and during sentencing Ma's mother and Aunt had a chance to confront her killer let me go not going let me go pleas

let me go let me go while Hoskins seemed remorseful during the victim impact statements What followed was utter pandemonium you have 42 days to appeal your remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections for service of this sentence thank you I love you baby I love you as Judge James Redford slapped the defendant with a hefty prison sentence Hoskins knocked down electon and charged towards the judge he was immediately grabbed by three deputies and removed from the courtroom as Hoskins was being ushered away a brawl broke out between the families of the victim and

the defendant cours and recess for 15 minutes ultimately Hoskins was sentenced to 50 to 100 years in prison for murdering his girlfriend
