have you ever heard somebody talk and you're like man I've never heard anybody talk like this I mean their words are like golden pollen falling off shaking lies have you ever listened somebody talk and I don't know what it is about them but when they talk it just moves Me Maybe it moves you to tears maybe it moves you to want to do something well today I'm going to show you how to be more articulate how you can turn your articulation into compensation because that is exactly the best way to do it you've probably seen
one of my videos where I talked about the four levels of value and the lowest level of value is implementation and the second lowest Val level of value is unification like uh implementation you make somewhere between minimum wage and 80,000 a year unification you make somewhere between 40,000 250,000 a year but when you get above that dotted line where communication is the first level where wealth really starts to be created like from activity from action from vocation like if you want to work in a way that's going to make you a lot of money you
have to get above that dotted line above unification above implementation to the level called communication and the the resource you use on the bottom level is you use your muscles times time to make money and that's why it's hard to make money because muscles are a physical resource time is a limited resource so you're multiplying a physical resource times a limited resource to produce an unlimited spiritual outcome which is wealth okay so that's why it's hard to create wealth with your muscles over time unification you are using your management skills times people times time and
so depending on how productive the people you manage are that's going to determine how much money you make and productive in what productive in a profitable arena is going to make you more money as a manager than productive and a not so profitable Arena so unification because managing people is a higher spiritual activity than doing the thing yourself managers make more money than people who they manage it's just how it works managers have leverag the leverage of Delegation whereas if you are if you are just the worker you're just the worker be you're the laborer
you sweep the floor you Hammer the nail you drill the hole you drive the truck then what's the the challenge for you to create wealth is that you are the person who does the thing and you have no leverage you are actually someone else's leverage and there's nothing wrong with that to some degree we're all somebody else's leverage right but when you start communicating the resource you use on that level you use your mouth to create messages that move masses and when you do that you make more money the better you are at speaking and
the bigger the mass the multitude is that you move with your messages the more money you're going to make so how do and the highest level of value is Imagination which we're not really going to talk about in this video we're going to talk about how do you how do you actually talk better there are a lot of people who have great ideas they just are not good at articulating somebody said to me one time said may you have such a great singing voice I said thank you they said too bad you tear it up
so bad every time you try to get it out right and so and so and so some people have really great ideas they just tear them up so bad when they try to get them out that nobody knows what they're talking about so in a previous video a two-part video that I did um on this channel one of them was called uh it's part one and two think like a genius talk like a third grader right because thinking like a genius is essential for you to have an idea that's worth talking about but talking like
you're talking to a third grader is essential to helping people conceptualize your ideas and one of the things you that I would recommend that you desire to do and I know that you deserve to do is to get so good at communication that it's clear enough for people that you're talking to to understand what you're saying take when you learn how to take complex Concepts and then communicate them in a clear and concise way so that even a child can understand it Einstein has given credit for this but I don't think he really said it
somebody else said it um if I can't explain a concept to an intelligent 12 12y old I don't understand it right so if I can't explain a concept to a rela relatively intelligent individual then I'm the problem I don't understand it and so a lot of times people are frustrated because people don't understand them but they don't realize they're the source of the misunderstanding because they're so lazy with language it takes if you're going to be a good communicator like if you're going to be good at anything else it's going to require work but I
can talk I've been talking my whole life right but you haven't been saying anything the whole time and so what You' got to do is you got to get better at putting words together that make sense to people that solve their problems and when you do they will pay you I'm going to give you an example I was just in boisey Idaho I was at a mastermind um for one of my uh business coaches and there are other people in The Mastermind who lived in Florida and so but there are also some people in his
Mastermind that are in my Mastermind well two of the people in his Mastermind that are in my Mastermind they flew from one of them flew from Colorado her and her husband they flew from Colorado to Tampa and then another one she flew from Houston with her son to Tampa so they could fly from Tampa to Boise with me on a private jet now private Jet's just a private jet that's not the point my point is why would they go backwards to go forward why would they pay for a ticket to come here to fly with
me when they could just fly straight to Boise because of the conversations that we had on the plane the conversations we had on the plane now that's not the remarkable part here's a remarkable part they were staying for a couple days longer than me so they didn't come back to Tampa with me so coming back it was just going to be me and Jose so I had two choices I could either come up with an idea and then communicate that idea to some people and get paid for that idea or I could just come back
and take a nap on the couch so I mean we got this big 12 passenger jet and just the two of us so there were a couple of people who were in boisee that lived in to camp that are not in my Mastermind they're in his Mastermind not in my Mastermind and one of them was complaining to me he said he's like I can't believe they they routed my flight now I've got to go from Boise to Seattle and then back to Tampa it's so dumb and I said to him Andy are you still flying
commercial bro why are you flying commercial anyway so I ranged my words in such a way and I made him an offer I said here's what I'm going to do you pay me $25,000 I'll let you ride back to Tampa with on my Jet and I'll teach you how you can fly private for free so guess what he did he wired me $25,000 then another guy was complaining about I was late my flight was late you still fly you still flying commercial and I'm I'm I'm I'm telling you the story because I'm going to show
you what I did okay you're still flying commercial dude I don't understand and and I'm not even exaggerating because this this is a room full of millionaires I'm like I don't understand why anybody in this room room is still flying commercial on we will inconvenience you at our convenience Airlines which is all of them and have and be accosted by TS agents who wanted to be in the CIA but couldn't pass the test okay I don't have an attitude about it but when I think about it it does not conjure up good memories okay and
so so I said to him you're still flying and I said hey I'm going to make you an offer you pay me $25,000 I'll let you fly back with me on my CH and I'll teach you how to never fly how to get how to how to fly private for free for the rest of your life and you'll never pay for another commercial airline it's like okay he wired $25,000 same thing happened to another person they were coming back to Florida I'm like hey you want to join us on the jet it's only $25,000 and
I'm going to teach you how to never fly commercial again now I told you that story because I turned my articulation into compensation I was the Jet's already paid for it was already paid for so I wasn't doing that to pay for the jet the Jet's been paid for for over a year right so I wasn't doing that to pay for the flight I was doing that because I'm either going to take a nap or I'm going to impact somebody's life and get compensated so the first thing I did was I resonated with their problem
and I felt their pain and then I communicated that there is a solution and it's an elegant solution it's a simple solution in fact it's so simple I can teach it to you on a 4-Hour flight from Boise to Tampa but it will change your life and so and I taught them the same system that I used to get paid over $7 million since June of last year that I got paid for flying private now I had to pay for the flights too so if you take the money out I paid for the flights I
profited $2.4 million flying private and these three people who are not in my Mastermind and I'm not going to teach it to them for free right I let them fly back with me on my Jet and I explained it to them and they were all like this is the greatest thing I've ever learned in my life so how did that happen first of all I saw they had a problem second of all I knew I had a solution but I had to say the solution in a way that lowered resistance now one of the things
that I did in saying the solution um and describing the solution to them that lowered the resistance I talked about their problem first and the pain associated with that problem are y'all tracking and then I Amplified the pain like you're still flying private I mean you're still flying commercial you still let the people give you to runaround and so one guy said to me he said he said yeah I just can't justify the price I said you can't justify the price of flying private but you can justify them wasting four hours two hours when you
get to the airport and then flying you an hour and a half away and then an extra hour and a half back plus the two hours you got to wait six hours of your time that's worth way more than it cost to fly private anywhere you can justify that I don't understand I'm confused you can get the money back you can't get the time back anyway so that's what I communicate to him so here's here are a couple of things that you want to do if you want to be more articulate now that was articulation
for the purpose of sales but nobody cares what you have for sale until they know that you can help them it's like Frank Kern says he says um prove to people that you can help them by actually helping them now what I do in my life in order to do that is what I call Community Serv service content what is community service community service is something you do for a community without seeking compensation are y'all tracking so for now on for the rest of your life instead of viewing social media as a way to show
off or instead of viewing social media as a way to show people what you had for breakfast I'm not sure why anybody cares to this very day what what anybody else had for breakfast right instead of doing that why don't you use social media as a platform to disseminate community service content so I'm going to give you content for free on Instagram Facebook YouTube X Tik Tock and whatever new platform they come up with next right and I'm going to disseminate valuable content that I could have sold but I'm going to give it away for
free and I know what you're worried about you're worried but if I give it away nobody's going to want to buy anything from me I have found the exact opposite to be true if you give a lot if you give away a lot of really really good value people will definitely come and buy stuff from you to the tune of way more money than a month and you have time to spend but you have to be you have like in order for it to be valuable it has to be valuable to them in or like
you the the value of your content is not the value that you perceive in it's the value that they perceive in it are y'all tracking so how do you get better at saying things okay first thing you got to do is you have to I'm going to use that one you have to have something good to say something good to say you gotta have something good to say now where you going to get that from well if you want to get better at speaking there are three things that you can do three things that you
can do that will radically impact your ability to speak you ready number one read more books so you read more number two write more writing requires a level of clarity that speaking does not demand and so sitting down and taking time to write out your thoughts and then reading them back kind of shows you what people would hear if you said that to them does that make sense so so like read more write more and then speak more if you are like if you if you stammer and Chip over your words and all of the
rest of that what you could do to make your life better is create create content on video that you post on social media on The Daily why do I say daily daily now you don't have to do this daily but if you do it daily even if you're not good at first even if you're not good if you do it daily what will happen is eventually you will get good I remember the first time I ever spoke in public I was 17 years old I was talking on a Sunday school bus and to a bunch
of elementary school kids I had my hands in my pocket and I looked at the floor the whole time and I talk like this and then um what happened was and he um David killed Goliath with a slingshot and Stone and um and um it was terrible I got done my co- captain my co- buus Captain she said she said my you can't just stand up there and talk the whole time with your hands in your pocket okay so I learned one thing but what if I wouldn't have done that I wouldn't have learned that
this is not the way to talk and I learn one thing at a time and I eventually I did it more and more and the more I did it the better I got it you want to do something really really cool that will change your life and and and it'll help you become better articul ation without worrying about being judged go figure out a way to talk to a bunch of little kids go to a children's hospital and Inspire some kids go speak to an elementary school class and teach them something cool and if you
can keep children engaged adults are easy in fact I'd rather speak to kids they're way're kids like kids are so much fun adults are all plastic trying to look sophisticated right kids will just have fun anyway so so but I what I did was I eventually got better so what I did after that was I started listening to great speakers if you will listen to great speakers what'll happen and and by the way listen to them on repeat don't don't make the mistake of listening to something once and thinking you got it okay find somebody
who you like to listen to uh maybe it's maybe it's like Mark I'll tell you when we were kids my mom used to make us listen to Martin Luther King Jr I hated it but I didn't realize how it was getting in me the ability to communicate was like the ability to think clearly because he spoke he was one of the greatest ERS of all times and he said it so well the stuff that he said he said it so well that he became one of the most influential people in the world because of his
communication and then after I came to Christ I had a couple of preaching tapes I had a preaching tape called payday somay by BR Lake I mean by RG Le I had a Payday I had a Ser I had a tape a cassette tape y'all cassette tapes that's right after phone booths right okay so I had a cassette tape of um of BR L and why I know there's a God and then I had a cassette tape of Johnny Pope um what a name talking about why Jesus has a name above every name and I
listen to these because they were the only tapes I had I wasn't Rich I just listened to them over and over and over again and what I would do because I listen to them so many times eventually like inadvertently I just memorized them right I introduced this is this is RG Le payday someday I introduced your naboth naboth was a citizen little town of jezrael he was a good man he app that which was evil clave to that which was good this good man had a little Vineyard was close by a pus to the king
this Vineyard had come to him as a cherish inheritance from his forefathers because of this all of it was very dear to his heart I introduced you Eli I mean I introduced you Ahab the vile human toad who squatted on the throne of the Nations had command of a nation's wealth and the nation's Army but had no command of his lust and appetites he wore fine clothes but he had underneath these clothes a wicked heart he ate good food but he had a star Soul he lived in palis yet he tormented himself for one little
bit of land more he was a king with a throne a scepter great Army and fat treasury but the Bible says this to us about him Ahab sold himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord and so I just listened to it over and over and over again became it was like Mary had a little lamb after a while I listen to BR Laken and he had this old he was like in his 70s or 80s he has this really crack crackly voice he's like who was it to put the moon and the
sun in the heavens and deck the heavens with the Stars and smooth out a chaotic Earth and scooped out a place with his hand put the water in it tied it down with a robe of sand and called it oceans he put a garment of green over the valleys and the mountains and the hills and button it up with lies and garlands and wo it with laughing daffodils that's the God my friend I serve that sounds way better than yeah God made Heaven and Earth and the Sun and the Moon and stuff see how much
better that sounds Johnny Pope said what isn't a name for people that have left their Mark in this world their name is almost a word biography when we think of Moses we think of a man with uplifted hands with a rod in those hands leading two million people when we think of demoses we think of that great silver tonged oror of Greece who even made men like Philip of Macedon tremble we think of Shakespeare we think of one whose ink flowed from his pen like golden pollen of shaking Lies when we think of Will Rogers
we think of one with wit and W wisdom like few people have and on and on I could name you different names where if I mentioned their name today that immediately you think of certain things that's a that's like it's like watching poetry live so what happens when you listen to great speakers and you read great writers you begin to think in the same thought patterns like your thinking gets in tune with their speaking so when you speak your words start to flow like their words without you even trying and that's one of the reasons
why to this very day I love listening to great speakers and if they say something really really good I'm like that's really really good then I write it down then I put it in my quotes in my Google doc so that will help you become more articulate you need to like if you're going to be if you're going to get better at speaking you need to have an inventory of phrases first you need an inventory of words right because because like words are the building blocks like sentences phrases you need inventory of words and you
need to have as you're going to be if you're going to be a speaker you need to have more than one word for a thing and none of those words should be that thing right you need that the words you need to have words that describe emotions and words that describe experiences and words that describe uh uh Concepts and complex Concepts you need to be able to you you need to have so many words in your vocabulary that you can use your communication as word art and paint mental pictures for people to hang in the
corridors of their mind and every time they walk past that thought they will think of you are y'all picking up what I'm putting down so one of the things that I do when I so I said read more when I'm reading if somebody says something I like I will write it down and I'm going to show you how to do this when I'm reading when I I'll teach you how I read books on a different video but what I do is I'll take these thoughts and then I I I I'll highlight what they said but
often times I will in addition to that write down what I thought of as a result of that and then when I'm done what I'll do is I'll take all of my notes that I wrote down on my thoughts and I'll put it in a Google doc see this says mying golden quotes and so and then after what I'll do is I'll categorize them so I have trying isn't the key to success in fact people who succeed aren't trying to succeed anymore more than people who fail try to fail in both cases it's automatic trying
harder doesn't make you more deserving of success it just makes you more tired that is an original myON golden quote and some of you have probably heard me say some of that before well guess what I do after I put these quotes on these Google Docs that have all these quotes I go back and memorize them categorically this is this is the work that people don't see that causes their face to melt off when I start talking when they see me and they think oh my goodness didn't heard anything like that before well the the
reason is because you haven't heard people speak who prepare like this before leverage seek to do more with less while average people are doing less with more so so this is called an epigram this this is a communication device called an epigram what you're doing is you're showing people both sides of a thing so I could just say Seek to do more with less but how much more powerful is it if I say Seek to do more with less while average people which implies what that you're not average are seek are doing less with more
you see and and so many of these are like this it's easier to take great make great strides in a short period of time is to make small advances over a long period of time it's easier to make lots of money in a short period of time than is to make a little money over a long period of time perhaps the reason you've maxed out your potential is because you've exhausted the efficiency of your current methods work working harder at what's not working isn't the formula for Success even though doing so make you may make
you feel better temporarily what these are thoughts that I wrote down when I was reading a book this is not what the author said this is what came to my mind as a result of what they said okay so um focus possibilities uh and limits are uh are both there all the time you experience the one that you focus on the most balance is not the only objective in life balance is a season focus is a season it's never summer and winter in the same place at the same time and you are never in focus
and in balance at the same time when you're in Focus you're out of balance when you're in Balance you're out of focus y'all have heard me say that before well I got that from me and what I mean by that is what I mean by that is I don't make the mistake of thinking that because I have a thought today that I'm going to still have that thought tomorrow instead what I do is I capture the thought I write it down by hand and then I take when I'm done with a book I take the
book and I go over to Google Docs till I get done with my software I keep it in Google Docs for now um and so what happens is I take all of this content and I go back and I'll memorize these quotes and if I and let's say I'm working on a talk that I'm going to do right and and I'm going to talk about Focus maybe I'll come back and get this or if I'm going to do a talk on Quantum growth I might talk about that if I'm going to do a talk talking
about risk I'll come back risk cannot be avoided so don't try to avoid them instead you should calculate the risk so you can manage the outcome the best way to manage risk is to ask yourself if I'm right will I love it and if I'm wrong can I live with it if the answer to both of these is yes then go cuz that is all the green light you will ever have boom that's so good I don't I didn't remember writing that one that's really good I so um Pursuit like and you in action leap
leap before you uh leap before you learn the details now what does that mean well King Solomon said King Solomon said one of the reasons he wrote the Book of Proverbs was to gain instruction of wisdom well wisdom is an action word wisdom is not a noun it's a verb it's talking about skillfulness to G gain um to gain to um receive instruction of skillfulness in other words to learn the lessons you can only learn while you're doing the thing people say as soon as I know I'm soon as I know something I'm gonna do
something no that baby baby I got bad news but that Ain how it works you don't get to learn anything till you do something how many yall tracking and so what you got to do is you got to learn you got like you got to get in the game so anyway this is these are some of the methods that I use now if you're so so I said have something good to say practice saying it well it's amazing I know you used to coach basketball I used to coach basketball I used to coach golf here
what's fascinating coaches know athletes know if you're going to get better at some you have to practice somehow or another communicators skip that day in class you got to practice you're not going to get better you're not going to get better at speaking by thinking about how bad you are at speaking you're only going to get better at speaking by speaking and if you're really really bad do it anyway the only way to get good is to do it while you're bad long enough to get over being bad I was bad when I started you
don't even have to believe me I don't care if you believe me I was there it was painful okay so so practice saying it well have something good to say but practice saying it well and then you want to get better at speaking say it often like I don't know how many videos we have in our video bank but we have a lot and it's really interesting because my videos are not like entertainment videos they're educational videos and guess what my I didn't realize when I was learning all the lessons I was learning and doing
all the things that I was doing and speaking before I was good I didn't realize that that was preparing me for this time in my life any more than you realize that when you start doing it now it's going to be preparing you for a time in your life that will be unimaginable to you from where you are right now and the longer you take to get in the game the harder it's going to be for you to get in the game and the harder it's going to be for you to win the game period
write the book before it's going to be a bestseller write your worst selling books first you don't want your terrible books to be a bestseller and if you will become a prolific you don't have to be profound at the beginning just be prolific if you will be prolific over a long enough time and remain a student you will eventually become profound that's how you become more articulate and there are things that you can do as you're arranging content creating content that even takes it to another level but I'm talking about talking turn your stupid phone
around turn the camera on and talk to people and put it on the internet and don't worry about whether they judge you don't look at don't look at uh why are you making that face well then now you know you don't need to make that face no more so my favorite thing to teach is the Bible I love teaching business but my favorite thing to teach is the Bible and when I get excited I my intensity level like right it increases and so my son came to me after church one day and I had spoken
he said he said dad I have a question for you we learn way more from our kids than they learn from us anyway um he said Dad I've got a question for you he said how comes when you do minars you seem like you're having fun but when you're preaching you seem like you're mad thought I didn't realize I seem like I was mad I was just excited but but you know yeah I'm an alpha male sometimes my excitement sounds like anger no I said I don't know but you know what it gave me something
to work on and I didn't feel like oh my son thinks I'm mad when I'm preaching no I just thought oh that's great feedback now I can become better I can remove that thing that makes it harder for the people who are listening to me I can remove that from the equation to make it easier for people to listen to me because as I've said often if somebody disagrees with me or somebody doesn't like me because of my position that's their problem but if they don't like me because of my disposition that's my problem and
so I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure my disposition doesn't turn people away from a position that could help them so that's how you become more articulate I hope something in this video that I said will help you greatly on your journey to changing your life in the meantime in between time we'll see you on the next video
