from being attacked by a horde of killer bees to falling into an active volcano these are even more of the luckiest people who survived the [Music] impossible a close shave on March 28th 2024 Oregon man Shane Remy popped out to visit the local convenience store little did he know he was inches away from being very inconvenienced just as Shane entered the store he noticed something hurtling toward him a massive saw blade in a scene that could be ripped straight out of Final Destination Shane avoided certain Doom by literal seconds as captured on the store's surveillance

footage the 4-ot concrete saw tore across the road and lodged itself into the wall right next to the door the impact was so powerful that it shook the entire building man imagine what would have happened to Shane if he'd stopped to tie his shoe or something doesn't bear thinking about it seems that a loose bolt from some nearby construction Works was responsible for the scary accident though there's no word on whether consequences were faced as for Shane he suffered massive anxiety after the incident and who could blame him a carpenter by trade he's found it

incredibly difficult to spend time around saws which makes working tough to help him out with counseling bills his daughter eternity set up a GoFundMe if you've got any change to spare I'm sure Old Shane would appreciate it waterfall Wonder as beautiful as Canada's Niagara Falls are they're also very deadly every year 20 to 30 people plunge to their Doom which makes the story of Roger Woodward even more incredible back in 1960 40-year-old James Honeycut a family friend then took 7-year-old Roger on a boat ride with his 17 18-year-old sister deian on the Upper Niagara River

honey cut had often taken the kids out boating so the trip was nothing out of the ordinary until about a mile from the falls the boat's motor malfunctioned frantically Honeycut tried to row the trio to shore but the strong current was taking them straight towards the Falls he ordered the kids to put their life jackets on but was so busy rowing he couldn't put his own on then as they approached the edge the Rough Waters slammed into the boat and capsized it plunging all three of its passengers into the tumultuous current Dean was separated from

the others but thankfully was hauled up from the very edge by two tourists who happened to be nearby what are the chances Roger and Honeycut weren't so lucky they desperately clung to each other but the Raging Waters tore them apart just before the precipice of the Horseshoe Falls the largest of the three Falls making up the Niagara with a stomach churning vertical plunge of 188 ft that's taller than the Leaning Tower of Pisa unable to do anything they both went straight over the edge plummeting down into Oblivion except somehow Roger survived a 7-year-old boy wearing

only a bathing suit and a life jacket survived a 188 ft drop with just a mild concussion because of his life jacket when Roger had plunged into the water at the base of the falls he'd quickly Rose back to the surface again which ultimately saved his life as for James Honeycut he'd sacrificed his jacket to try and save the kids and ended up sacrificing his life for them too what a hero nailed it if there's one person on a construction site you should feel safe around it's the safety guy right well that wasn't the case

in this next tail you see redditor goney 888's pal was a contractor working on a construction site one day he was holding on to a ladder while the safety inspector was climbing down it nail gun in hand you can tell where this is going either safety man dropped the nail gun or he slipped and accidentally pressed it against our contractor's head on the way down do a 2in nail ended up buried in his skull shees incredibly though not only did g money 888's friend live but he also got away without any brain damage how the

Carl Amos had an unfortunate run in with these vicious villains see Amos was out front mowing his lawn with riding mower when he was attacked by a couple of bees mildly annoyed he went to get some bug spray but these weren't any old bees and by the time he reached it so many of the angry stinging insects had appeared and he was absolutely covered in them bug spray wasn't going to cut it now panicking Amos desperately tried to swat at the Killer Bees and run away but as he did so he tripped and fell hard

to the ground breaking his hip unable to move and in immeasurable pain he was forced to lie there as more and more of them crawled all over him stinging every part of his body including his face it got so bad Carl couldn't even see through the mass of furry bodies engulfing him thankfully some construction workers were returning from their lunch break nearby and spotted the horrifying scene they rushed over and called Emergency Services who quickly arrived with hoses and fired water at the bees dispersing them I can't even imagine poor amos's relief despite desite the

brutal nature of the attack the man's Advanced age and the added complication of a broken hip Carl is predicted to make a full recovery all thanks to the friendly construction workers who found him and the Emergency Services who came as fast as they could who knows what would have happened otherwise snow joke look I only went skiing once and after the disaster that ensued I'll never do it again no I won't elaborate it can be super dang dangerous Francis Zuber was skiing in Washington's Mount Baker ski area in 2023 when he saw something that made

his heart skip a beat this was Ian steager he'd been snowboarding just ahead of Francis when disaster had struck he'd slid over a loose bit of snow and collapsed through it ending up stuck upside down and buried basically in snowy areas the ground directly underneath a tree gets less snow due to the cover this creates a tree well an area of loose snow that can be deadly to people who fall in not only are you trapped the snow around you blocks air from reaching your lungs setting you on a deadly timer that most people don't

Outlast in fact Ian's close friend had passed away in the exact scenario just a few months prior as he lay under the snow completely unable to move and with oxygen swiftly depleting Ian thought of his departed pal his fiance and his impending demise he knew he had around 15 minutes until he bit the bullet and he'd been there for five already but by sheer chance Francis had spotted his snowboard sticking up out of the snow and he wasn't going to let that happen you okay you all right okay you're good you're good I got you

you okay can you breathe yeah okay all right we're both going to catch your breath for a sec I'm going to help dig you out okay after a whole lot of digging Ian was finally freed and a lifelong friendship was formed as far as Ian's concerned beers are on him for the rest of their lives seems fair to me magma mishap I don't need to tell you guys active volcano aren't exactly safe places even so camera Crews sometimes need to head to them for shoots back in 1992 cameraman Michael Benson and Chris dudy were shooting

aerial footage of kileo volcano in Hawaii for the Thriller movie sliver but things took a dramatic turn for the worse when the helicopter lost power and crashed into the volcano crater narrowly avoiding a pool of molten lava the good news both cameraman and and the pilot were alive the bad news they were trapped inside the crater with toxic fumes thick in the air and no food or water to speak of Benson and duddy decided to try their luck and scale the Steep Rocky incline to escape the pilot stayed where he was which turned out to

be the better move a few hours later a rescue copter located him and flew him to safety but the two cameramen were nowhere to be found and due to poor weather further rescue attempts were scuppered bit by bit duddy was able ble to claw his way out of the crater by the end of the day but Benson wasn't so lucky he'd climbed to just 60 ft below the crater's rim but got stuck on a tiny ledge alone going back down wasn't an option and climbing further up was impossible so the exhausted cameraman had no choice

but to sit tight and waited out and waited out he did for an entire day until a break in the weather finally allowed Rescuers to find Benson and lower a net down from the ch proper to scoop him up and although he suffered from inflamed lungs chemical pneumonia and dehydration he survived amazing but the worst part all those volcano scenes the crew risked their lives for were ultimately scrapped from the Final Cut of sliver of course pigeon hold pigeons are annoying but did you know they can also be deadly just ask Brit Matthew Brey in

April of 2011 bre was out for a leisurely motorcycle ride after spending some time with a friend the calm was suddenly and violently ruptured when a pigeon rocketed towards him out of nowhere The Feathered foe collided with brey's face and was going so fast it shattered the visor of his helmet and his glasses the insane force of the blow instantly knocked Brey out cold but his foot was still on the gas uhoh the bike quickly picked up speed and after reaching a crazy 140 mph the unconscious man collided with a tree and was sent flying

through the air safe to say the landing wasn't pleasant in the aftermath of the ordeal our unfortunate hero was left with a laundry list of injuries including skull fractures brain bleeding and broken ribs he even needed to learn how to walk again after the devastation caused to his body but incredibly he lived to tell the tale man imagine having pigeon listed as your cause of death thankfully Brey didn't have to suffer that humiliation a long way down as we've established I'm a coward the most extreme that my sports get is going bowling with mittens on

so why anybody would choose to try bungee jumping is beyond me take the story of Aaron Langworthy the then 22-year-old Australian took a trip to Zambia in 2014 in search of Adventure so when she heard heard of the incredible experience that was bunge jumping over the Zambezi River at Victoria Falls she jumped at the chance never mind that she'd seen crocodiles in the waters there that morning as far as she was concerned if 50,000 people did the jump every year it had to be safe right and that's how she found herself standing precariously on the

edge of a bridge so Aaron steadied her nerves and leapt but the initial Adrenaline Rush was interrupted by by a sudden jolt across her chest the bungee cord had snapped she haphazardly freef fell a staggering 131 ft before finally colliding with the river beneath her lungs instantly filled with water as she plunged under the surface and was swept down river by the current her legs still tied together to make matters worse what remained of the cord got snagged between some rocks pinning her underwater her vision started to fade surely this was the end and not

yet with an incredible feat of strength Aaron dived down and managed to tear the cord free surfacing with a gasp but then she was swept further Downstream eventually she was able to Lodge her arm between a couple of rocks at the edge of the river where she stayed helpless for an agonizing 40 minutes at the mercy of the Rushing Water then at long last a guy from the bungee company found her and managed to pull her out defying all logic she was alive with the worst of her injuries being a partially collapsed lung the bunge

company was profoundly apologetic as they should have been and Aaron got to go home to her mom who she'd sent a postcard to the day before her jump it read I'm doing a bungy jump tomorrow so I'll say goodbye only joking Fate has a weird sense of humor skydiving slip up certain insane people think leaping from a plane at 10 ,000 ft is a good idea it isn't and I won't be told otherwise but believe it or not there are ways to make that scenario even more terrifying in November 2014 over the land down under

Daredevil Sheldon McFarland was teaching a course on skydiving he and his student Christopher Jones leapt from a plane as they'd done countless times before but this time something would go horribly wrong Sheldon's student started EXP experiencing a seizure at 9,000 ft in the air the poor guy was left completely unconscious and in total freefall Sheldon knew he had to act fast where the situation would go from bad to worse in a show of pure determination he managed to reach Christopher and deploy his parachute shortly afterwards he regained Consciousness and managed to use his prior training

was to travel the great Slave Lake follow a previously chartered path alongside the copper mine River Reach the sea then turn East and explore Canada's unknown Arctic Coast it didn't exactly go to plan not that Franklin and his crew didn't initially see success by 1821 they'd managed to chart 500 miles of Coastline and were about to head to Fort Enterprise a camp they had set up prior to wait out the long Canadian winter however the weather took a turn for the worse and rough Seas made it impossible to get there by boat as they planned

their only alternative was a long and arduous Trek on foot through an area aptly known as the barren lands the journey was hell for months the group treed with starvation dehydration and Frostbite constantly looming they got so hungry that they were reduced to eating lyans off rocks that made them sick and even boiled their own leather boots and ate those Cy the one member of the Expedition decided that just wasn't good enough after a string of disappearances and some inexplicably procured wolf meat it became pretty clear he'd opted to Chow Down on people pie instead

spoiler alert after the others found out they didn't let him get away with it in the end just 11 of the 22 men arrived at Fort Enterprise EX exhausted starving and desperate but the ordeal wasn't over the camp which they had expected to be full of dry meat was utterly devoid of supplies in despair the remaining crew huddled together and awaited the end however that end wouldn't come miraculously a party from a local tribe turned up with food and nursed them back to health the depleted group would arrive back home in 1822 and Franklin was

heralded as a hero for the lengths he went for survival that's right hero status for eating shoes hitchhiker in February of 2020 Japanese Twitter user Osaka pooo uploaded a hair raising video to Twitter while driving on the hen Shin Expressway he'd spotted something utterly horrifying holy cow who the heck is that woman did she survive such a treacherous situation [Music] okay okay it's just a mannequin the whole setup was designed to get some attention for the business that owns it Sanda mclass Garden the vehicle is part of their shuttle service and boasts this creepy dummy

on the back yeesh so false alarm this time but I assure you this next story is far from one the hell hole underwater oil pipes can't just be left to operate by themselves they need to be repaired and maintained which means that somebody has to head down into the murky depths to perform the dangerous task get ready for one of the most horrific stories I've ever known on February 25th 2022 the paria fuel Trading Company contracted a team of divers to perform maintenance on one of their oil pipelines off point upier Trinidad and Tobago kazim

Ali Jr used J Henry Fel kban Rishi nagassar and Christopher Budram were selected to work on the pipe and so down they went it was a sort of u-shape and the crew had set up a pressurized airfill chamber over one end where they could work more easily in dry conditions to perform the job they first needed to remove two airtight plugs from the pipe the first one went without trouble but when they removed the second things took a horrifying turn the moment they removed the plug water from the ocean rushed into the chamber submerging them

instantly and creating a chaotic Vortex before they even realized what was happening they were sucked 1,312 ft down the oily shoot at Breakneck speed that's more than the height of the Empire State Building the sheer Terror and confusion is hard to imagine but how did it happen basically the interior of the pipe was much lower pressure than on the chamber out outside and both air and water naturally move from areas of high pressure to low pressure so when they removed the plug a pressure differentiation was created that was so drastic it pulled water violently from

the ocean into the chamber and down the pipe the resulting current acted like a vacuum and forcibly sucked each of the divers down into the dark in a cruel twist of fate the five men found themselves stranded in a cramped pitch black tube filled with oil and water injured confused and terrified they struggled to get their bearings somehow amazingly they were alive by pure luck they'd slid down and landed in an air pocket in the middle of the pipe even so the situation was Dire they'd lost their oxygen tanks couldn't see anything and some of

them had broken bones but they stayed as calm as they could and Christopher came up with a plan they needed to go back the way they' came where they knew the pipe was open if they went the wrong way they'd be met with a dead end and certain Doom it was a 50/50 shot but they had no other choice linking hands to ankles they slowly made their way down one end of the pipe despite the situation things seemed hopeful that was until Christopher made a horrifying Discovery the next area of the pipe was completely submerged

with water and oil the group would need to dive down for an unknown stretch to get past the risk was too great and the fear too much Rishi kazim and Yousef couldn't do it and so Christopher and fizal promised to bring back help and took the perilous plunge on and on they went just as they were about to run out of breath relief they hit another air pocket gasping for breath the pair rested for a moment and then even better news there was an oxygen tank lying against the pipe but it wasn't over yet and

they were exhausted fizal had to face the facts he was too spent to continue and so Christopher took the tank and took the next plunge alone the journey through Darkness would have been nothing short of hellish but he bravely soldiered on until he felt something in front of him the pipes Bend he turned it and swam upwards until he breached the surface but above him was just darkness this couldn't be how it ended had he gone the wrong way he called for help and banged a nearby chain in a desperate attempt to get someone's attention

and Incredibly it was heard the pipe above him opened and light flooded in as rescue divers began helping Christopher up and out Against All Odds he made it his friends however weren't so lucky the peria company refused to send any rescue divers down to retrieve the men and they were left inside that claer phobic tunnel for days until it became their grave following the tragedy an ongoing legal battle has ensued to discover who was responsible we could only hope that at the end of all this there's some semblance of justice and closure for everybody involved
