GM: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to another episode of The Secret in the Forest. An RPG adventure where me and my friends create a story together. I am the narrator of this story, I write its main plot points and events, and my friends are the main characters of the story. They have to handle every situation and problem I throw in their way, and improvise and see what happens in the moment. How are we doing today, ladies and gentlemen? Good night! Luba: Hello! Gabi: Hello! Calango: Hiii! Luba: Good evening. GM: Hiii! I purposefully didn't say
"hiii!" because Calango kept making fun of me for always starting with a "hiii!" so today I didn't start with a "hi". (Calango: "Hii!") GM: so he wouldn't do this anymore. GM: Are you okay? (Guaxi: Aw, I'm gonna miss it.) Gabi: All good! Luba: We're good! GM: I'm really good, I'm excited, I'm really excited for today's session, i'm very eager. Today is the session where the door is open and the answers... ...are hiding behind it. Do any of you have anything to say? I want to know how you guys are feeling about this. I'm really really
excited, I've been waiting for this moment all week. Luba: I'm chill. Gabi: I am saving up my voice. Calango: I'm curious. Gabi: Today is the day. (Rakin: Faith in God.) Luba: I won't say I'm excited, (Guaxi: I don't know, I'm very anxious.) I don't wanna give him that satisfaction. Guaxi: I don't know, I don't know. Rakin: Is there a vacuum cleaner behind the door? GM: So… No. It is impossible for it to be the Succ behind the door, don't worry about it. Guaxi: It's reverse Succ. (Luba: Are there no more Succs?) Have we killed the
only Succ? GM: I don't know. Guaxi: Oh, no… Calango: It has a kid, the "Little Succ" GM: You all know, as investigators, that usually when you kill the creatures, they don't actually die, depending on the creature. When it's a one of a kind creature it does actually die, but most of the monsters that you deal with are the ones that come and go to and from the other side of the membrane, so it is very likely, considering that the Succ appeared twice and was also defeated by the Hotelier, it might return in the future, but
before we... (Guaxi: That wasn't in the script.) GM: Before we begin today's script. I mean, not script, today's session. Guaxi: *Lets out a laugh* GM: We have... What happened? Gee.. (Rakin: It was Guaxi…) Calango: I laughed because of Guaxi. GM: Before we begin today's session I have a very cool announcement to make. So… I haven't even told our players about what we're about to watch here. So they're going to watch along with you guys on the livestream. I hope you like it, because we worked hard on this and I'm super excited. Let's get into it!
[OFFICIAL TSITF MERCHANDIZE ANNOUNCEMENT] GM: We now officially have the official The Secret In The Forest Merchandize, you can just go on "osegredonafloresta.com.br". There are some other versions, I only showed the ones that best suit their respective characters. We have a different print for each character. We worked really hard all week to make this possible. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I hope you all like it as much as we do. Calango: Wow, dude, that’s crazy good. (Luba: Man, it looks so good!) Calango: I want nothing less than one of each. Gabi: One of
the Liz's t-shirts in my house, please. Guaxi: I nearly cried just now, that was beautiful. GM: I was very anxious to finally be able to reveal this. So just to make it a bit clear, we partnered with "Lolja" to make these products. Their website might go down now, because there are a lot of people, but you can go into "osegredonafloresta.com.br" and take a look at all the products available there. There's t-shirts, posters, all of that, but the prints are these ones that were shown, one for each of the characters. I think... it is a really
nice experience that you guys can have. Now, that we have finally seen the announcement that I was very eager for. Now, something I'm very excited for, which is: what's behind the door. So, as soon as we come back from the intro, we will embark... Gabi: Jesus Christ. Calango: What happened? Luba: Man, it's just a meme ready to be made. Rakin: I'm still just looking at the shirts. (Gabi: It's a meme ready to be made!) Luba: It's a meme ready to be made. (GM: Why?) Luba: I don't know, I'm picturing it like, there's the closed door
and then it opens and it's something else, you know? GM: Got it. Ok, ok, ok. (Rakin: [Mumbles] and another door…) GM: So we will go into the intro and when we come back, we head straight into the universe of The Secret In The Forest. Let's go! [Opening TSIF] Rakin: Look at his little smirk. GM: Last session… Guaxi: At least he looks happy. Gabi: Cute hoodie you're wearing, where did you get it from? GM: Where did I get these amazing hoodies from, you ask? You didn't even see the back, It's my child! Calango: Whoa, look at
the back. (Gabi: Whoooa!) GM: "osegredonafloresta.com.br" Luba: Yeah, it's really down. GM: Sorry what? Oh yeah, The server went down, but it should be back up soon, or you can find it straight from Lolja's website. It's available there, just search for “O Segredo na Floresta” but it'll be back soon. There's no need to rush, the products aren't going to end like that. Right… I don't think so at least. Looking for Team Kelvin, a team from the Order that went missing, you see yourselves going after a mystery around five esoterrorists, a spiral-shaped symbol and a secret town
called "Holy Cradle". This investigation brought you to the mines of Holy Cradle, where, after fighting some battles next to the Miner of Holy Cradle, you find the Gatekeeper, responsible for two murders in the small village. What you did not expect was that the Miner himself would try to kill you. After a fight with him, you realize that the Gatekeeper actually saved your lives, and some truths came to light. The Gatekeeper was the son of the Blacksmith, the leader of this town, a gigantic man who hides many secrets from you as well as all the inhabitants
of Holy Cradle. Along with the Gatekeeper, you were able to open the mysterious door in the cave, a door that has, allegedly, never been opened by any of the Lusidii. You now see yourselves in front of this entrance, with a feeling that can be described as a mix of eagerness and terror. Ce: Let's go, everyone. If we just stand here, we won't accomplish anything. J: The Gatekeeper could come at any moment, we're not safe here. G: Huh? I'm here. J: Uh, Blacksmith. G: I agree, I agree. I know that… There's a lot going on, it
wasn't… Well, you can... T: Just one thing before we go. Hey, Gatekeeper, do you have any spare green crystals? G: No, I used up the last one that I had. I had three, I spent the last line I had on him. GM: Then he points at Arthur, whose arm is healed now, after it was ripped out by the Miner. T: Are you guys doing okay? We don't know what might be behind that door. L: Yeah, I am good. Good enough. T: Let's go then. L: But, big T... Gabi: I pull him aside by his arm.
T: Hm? Gabi: I want to whisper something in his ear, master. GM: You can do that, do you want everyone else to mute? Gabi: Yes, the chat can still hear it, just not them... GM: Ok, ok, ok. I'll mute them right now. Calango: [Singing] If Cellbit mutes me… GM: Oops, I accidentally turned off the video, I turned off the video, instead of the audio, one second. Audio and audio and audio. Luba: Wow, he turned off you guys' video. GM: I… ok, go ahead. Rakin: Haha, what a troll. Calango: You can still hear me when I
talk, right? GM: Yes. Gabi: Aw, man. GM: We can hear them, but they can't hear us. L: Big T. T: What's up, buddy? L: I don't think I can follow through with Joui's plan anymore. I… I need to get a hold of some facts, and we're not gonna get anything doing things like this. So, If my attitude starts to change, and I go back to begin "myself" please take care of the boys and protect them at all costs. T: Alright, I got it. I don't feel like... I don't feel like we're at risk right now,
to be honest. I think getting back to Holy Cradle is what we should be prepared for. L: But, if something does happen, protect them at all costs. T: We will protect them. L: Let's get going. GM: Ok, let me unmute them. Ok, hold on, (Calango: Hey.) GM: And... Luba: Fuck off. GM: Guaxi. Alright. Everyone unmuted, perfect. You could see that Liz, before going in, whispered something in Thiago's ear, he whispered something back. You can roll a Listening check, to see if you could hear something. Guaxi: Wow, I got 99. Calango: I failed. (Luba: I got
001.) Calango: No way! (GM: Joui...) GM: You heard all of it, you were watching the stream, did you hear what they said? OK. Luba: No, Luba: Of course not. GM: I'm gonna tell you what you heard. I'll mute... ...Guaxi and Calango. Liz basically said that she couldn't go along with your plan anymore, that this way she wasn't going to get any answers, and if something happened to her and she went back to how she used to be, Thiago should take care of you. Luba: What plan? Whose plan? GM: It's what you heard. She said your
plan, she: "If I follow through with Joui's plan, we won't get any more answers, we're not going to get answers..." It was kind of like that, huh Gabi? Do you want to say something again, that I got wrong? Gabi: No, That's it.) GM: She said she wouldn't follow your plan anymore, because then she wouldn't get answers. They don't know that you heard this. Luba: Ok. Rakin: Joui, dude, "what plan?" Gabi and Rakin: [laughing]. Rakin: "I made a plan?" GM: Now, we're back. Ce: Cool, let's get in. Calango: I walk a few steps forward. GM: You
guys see that the Gatekeeper is very apprehensive and nervous. He really wants to go in, but when he tried to do that, Cesar pulled him out angrily so he's staying still. You can tell that he has a stance of respect and fear towards you. He doesn't know you, doesn't know... doesn't know exactly who all of you are, but, you guys have an imposing aura in relation to him. Every time you move he shuffles to the side a little. He's nervous, shaking, and thoughtful. L: Uh… Calango: Is the door still closed? GM: It is open, and
you see in there this kind of wayward staircase that goes down between the walls, and deep down, what you can see is a... ... a well-lit room, with the light in there flickering a little. Calango: Ok. GM: You see the cave's stone floors. L: Gatekeeper? G: Uh, hein? L: Uh, is everything alright? G: Oh yeah it is, we can't waste anymore time here, we don't have a lot of it. L: We'll go ahead, so in case there's something, it will hit us before it hits you, okay? G: Right, uhm, ok. (J: Why?) L: He has
the answers, Joui, I think protecting him is worth it. J: You think that it's worth it to sacrifice yourself for someone who kills their own friends? G: I wasn't… I- I did kill them, but but what they’d go through once we destroy Holy Cradle would be much worse. I was freeing them from hell. L: Joui… G: If I could I would kill each and every person in Holy Cradle, but I can't, I was just freeing everyone I loved the most from the pain that I know I'm gonna feel. The pain I will feel for them.
T: Why pain? What do you mean? G: All of us from Holy Cradle are connected to... ...to Holy Cradle, if we really want to destroy everything once and for all, no one will survive. J: But you said it yourself that you don't know what's gonna happen to you and the other Lusidii. G: That doesn't mean I don't know that it is gonna be terrible, I'm scared. I would rather my friends have a guaranteed painless death, with crystals in their mouths to numb the pain and a quick slash on the throat, than whatever it is that's
going to happen to us. Ce: Hey Gatekeeper... Calango: I turn around, I have a serious and nervous expression on my face. Ce: Here's the deal, I opened myself up to trust in you guys, alright? You, Gatekeeper, carved a bunch of symbols back there and that same symbol was in the monster, the spider that killed my dad. I opened up and trusted you these past few days and y'all broke my trust. Not you, specifically, but the Miner shoved a pick in my rib-cage just now. It's not easy to trust you in the way you're expecting us
to anymore. I'll lead the way. (G: I get it, I don't blame you.) Calango: I start going down the stairs or up, I don't know. GM: You're going down. (T: Wait for me, Lil C.) Gabi: I go behind Big T. (Rakin: I follow him.) Gabi: Can we walk side by side on these stairs, master? GM: You can. It's pretty tight, but yeah. J: You guys can go ahead, I'll go last. Guaxi: I put my hand on the Gatekeeper's shoulder and say: A: Thank you for… You know. G: It was the least I could do. Guaxi:
And I get going. Gabi: Let's go. GM: Ok, how are you guys lined up, please? Calango: I'm in the front. (Rakin: Cesar in the front.) Calango: If anyone wants to go with me on the front. L: Go walk next to Lil C, Big T. T: Alright. Calango: I’m with my sling in hand. Rakin: I’m with my shield and my sword. GM: Gatekeeper's very nervous already, he walks next to Joui in the back. You're going down the stairs and, as you go, more of the room is revealed, since the door to it is just a doorway.
And, finally, when arriving in front, on the last step, you can see That room, It looks like some sort of bunker, abandoned. It’s lit by an ordinary lamp on the ceiling that's flickering a little; it also has a big table in the middle, where there seems to be some sort of mockup. On the right hand side of this room is a table with some fragmented crystals that don't glow at all. On this table, there's a black object visible. Thrown around amongst some crystals, there are papers and documents, and a couple of cassette tapes. On the
other side of the room, you see a row of metal cabinets with open drawers, paper thrown around everywhere, and a cork board on the wall with only one paper sheet being held up by a pin. What's impossible to ignore is that, across the room, there's a crack on the wall, from which an enormous amount of sludge seems to be slowly leaking out. Next to this crack, you can see a ladder that leads up to what looks like a square hatch door on the ceiling, and a yellow sign behind the ladder reads: "Remember, The Holy Cradle
must prosper.". Calango: Ok, uh… Rakin: I go straight to these metal things, Calango: I want to take a look at these documents here, dude. GM: 'Kay, let's take it easy. Gabi: I go here too, with lil' C. GM: So you… GM: Cesar... you're gonna roll a Find... GM: Coz you were in the front of... Where exactly are you rolling your Find dice? Is it on these documents on the floor? Where do you want to look? Calango: The documents. GM: Ok. You… Let me get this open. You look, you get closer to these... ...these pages on
the floor, there's a lot of pages with calculations and things you don't understand very well, but one page in particular really catches your eye. A page that's very similar to other ones you found in the past. You find... ...this page, laying next to a cassette tape. Calango: Holy shit. Ok. this here is a recorder tape, right? A tape that... GM: It's a tiny tape, it's a tiny tape, yes. Calango: Ok. Ce: Hey, Liz. L: Huh? Ce: I found a page, it looks like those other pages that we found. L: Can I take a look? Ce:
Sure! Calango: I hand it. Ce: There was also this tape next to it. L: See if you can figure out the tape, this type of stuff is not really my thing. GM: Looking upwards, that object on the table, that black one, is a tape recorder. Ce: We probably have to put it in that recorder. Let me... Calango: I see if it is plugged into any outlet or if it's working. GM: It's a recorder. Calango: Oh, it's a recorder? And does it work? Does it have batteries or whatever it is? GM: You don't know. Calango: I
pick it up and try to turn it on. GM: It's on. It's a little old, but you can tell it still works. Ce: We'd probably have to use this. GM: And the tape compartment opens to the outside. L: Put it in. Ce: Should we get everybody? GM: Joui and Arthur, the Gatekeeper stayed here, but he's with you, ok? Calango: I was gonna say: "where's the Gatekeeper?". GM: Joui and Arthur, you guys came to see the mockup. It's very clearly a mockup of Holy Cradle. The general layout is very similar, but the mines' caves are still
visible on the top left, but right in the middle, where the maze should be, there's just a big cave and around this cave you can see five houses. You recognize one of them as the Blacksmith's house, the other one you recognize is the hotel, except smaller, another one is the farm, and the other two are just houses you passed by. It's like, this is a very old version of Holy Cradle, the beginning of the town. J: Are you thinking what I'm thinking? A: Uh-uh. J: This is probably the first... ... the first mockup, or the
first time they made a Holy Cradle and we see five houses. A: You think these are houses of... ...the doctors? J: Yes. A: But what does that mean? A: Do the houses any relation with anything? Or no, maybe it's just showing what... J: Maybe it means that we might have bumped shoulders with... ...the Doctors in here, we didn't know who they were. GM: The Gatekeeper is in shock looking at this, He's walking towards the mockup in the center, he's looking. He looks kind of speechless, just... just trying to digest what he's seeing. A: So the
maze, do you think that the center leads to this cave here? G: Uh, yes. In the center of the maze there's a cave. It's where... It's where I was born. It's where I spent my days. J: You were born in the middle of the maze? In the maze? G: Yes. So did every wellspring. Or at least most of them did. Blacksmith's children live there. That's what she told me. J: Could you reach the center of the maze if you go in there? G: No. It's the only thing I don't know. If I could I would
try to stop this myself, but it's this that I don't know. I've tried to understand my whole life. Only the Blacksmith knows how to get there. I've tried to follow him a couple of times, but he always moves too fast. I always get lost. Like the maze changed on purpose to not let me in. Luba: Joui starts to walk around the table. GM: OK. Luba: While he watches. GM: Thiago, in the meantime, what have you been doing? Rakin: I'm looking at the documents to find something. In these open drawers. GM: You see many documents, many,
there's a lot of different sheets, you see a tape on the floor, you see... A lot of stuff here is intact and are handwritten letters that you can pick up. Rakin: I want to flip through it all to get an idea of what they are storing, what's so important that they're keeping it in cabinets, you know? I just want to flip around to get an idea. (GM: You can see that there's a lot of records,) like, there's a file hat just says "Holy Cradle" at the top, on another one there's something written about a test
subject #1, some files are stained with sludge, on this area closer to this chair here. Rakin: I want to see this test subject #1. GM: You take the file named test subject #1? Rakin: Exactly. I take the tape with me as well. GM: Right, there's the tape, this is the one that you take. Rakin: I keep it with me. GM: The red one, ok. OK, you take this file and… Right, one second. You have this sheet in your hands. Now back to... ...to Cesar and Liz. L: Lil' C. C: Hey. L: Hold on a minute
before you roll the tape. Take a look at this paper. Ce: What? GM: Read the letter out loud, if you do. L: "Internal conflicts. November 23rd, 2019". This is from, like, 10, 11-12 days after Holy Cradle started, I think, started to exist. Which would be years, 10 to 12 years. "Things have definitely spiraled out of control. The Builder managed to convince everyone else to actually abandon the studies and implement traditions and rites in order to make the following generations ignorant. How did <s>Eva</s>? the Miner? fell for this? Forcing Holy Cradle's future into ignorance so that
they feel blessed, instead of exploring and searching more about the Other Side? If <s>our Holy One</s> the PARASITE is this strong just by being close to the Rupture, imagine what we could do. We can't stop the research. It's for science." Holy Cradle was made with the purpose of opening the Rupture to the Other Side. Ce: Yeah, and apparently things got out of hand. Did the Holy Cradle take over their minds or something? L: Yeah, apparently Eva was the miner of the first Holy Cradle, and the Builder was putting the idea in her and other people's
heads that they should make the people ignorant. Ce: Who was the Builder? He… Could he be the engineer amongst the doctors? L: Yes! I think that might be the guy. Gabi: I start to look around in the papers I brought with me. L: I... I have his name in here somewhere. Do you want to roll the tape in the meantime? Ce: Alright. Guys?! Calango: I yell out to them. GM: Y'all hear Cesar. Thiago, You take the sheet, not even even reading it, you look at a photo of a woman, it says "test subject #1" and
you hear Cesar calling for you. T: Hi. Hey, guys, I found something interesting, I found a tape and a paper about test subject #1. Ce: I have a tape here too, Thiago, and a recorder that we can use to play them. Ce: I wanted everyone to listen together, whatever's in them. Maybe it's a recording of... ...maybe the doctors or the first Holy Cradle inhabitants, which we suspect are the same people anyway. T: True. Gee, put the tape on then, put yours in first. Ce: OK. Calango: I put the orange tape in the recorder. GM: The
orange tape? Calango: Yes. GM: OK. You put the orange tape in. I hope the volume is okay so that you guys can hear it. Wait. Orange tape: Investigation of the symbol found in Heilag Vagga island. The subject voluntarily submitted herself to the symbol marking procedure and has shown restlessness and abrupt changes in behavior. Test subject #1 has suffered grave psychological damage, at times becoming aggressive and repeating meaningless sentences… GM: The tape recorder stops for a moment, 'cause I opened it in the wrong thing, because I'm a little stupid. And now it's back. Orange tape: Investigation
of the symbol found in Heilag Vagga island. GM: It skips. Orange tape: ...Aggressive and repeating meaningless sentences, always using the phrases "Holy One", "Maze" and "Cradle" in different ways. There isn’t going back, for Ingrid, she is aggressive and has constant psychotic episodes. As a scientist, I admit that it was a mistake to use her as a subject, considering her daughter is still in school, but, I never thought something like this could happen to her. I now realize the effects of this symbol go way beyond my scientific understanding. I decided to end the symbol's preliminary investigation
with the decision to contact Dr. Eric Jour. L: It’s Eva. Ce: Ingrid? Who is Ingrid? T: Bro, here at the subject’s paper… (L: Hey, hey.) GM: You pull it, you see the name Ingrid right away. T: Hey, Liz, isn’t this name familiar? Ce: Volkomenn. The delegate right...? The delegate’s name wasn’t Volkomenn? T: No, that name is very familiar. Ce: Carpazinha’s delegate, isn’t it? L: I don’t remember his last name. I do remember his name is Victor, but… Ce: I don’t know… L: But wait, wait. Dr. Eva Van Gloss, she went on an archaeological expedition and
she stayed there for a while and she started this search for the symbol because of what she found on the archaeological expedition Yeah… Does anyone want to read this paper? GM: Thiago and Liz, roll an Intelligence test, please. Gabi: Jesus. Rakin: Yes. Rakin: I remember, but I don't know if Thiago does. GM: Thiago does. he remembers. Rakin: If I remember, Thiago remembers? GM: If you remember, he does too. T: Hey, Liz, isn't this one Agatha’s mother? Ce: Who is Agatha? L: Thiago?! Ce: Guys? T: Yes! L: Oh my God! Ce: Who is Agatha? T: Maybe
this is why she did all those things? Ce: Guys, hello! L: Long story, Cesar,... (J: What is goign on?) ...long story. To make it short, on our last mission we we went to investigate a crime at a school and there was this girl and her mother was known for being crazy, psychopathic and having committed several crimes and it turned out that this girl was also very crazy, psycho, she switched bodies with a boy and that boy became a monster, we killed him, but the girl ran away in the boy's body. It's a very long story,
but this is the girl's mother and she was known... (J: Switched bodies?) ...to have lost her mind. T: Guys, that's... (L: Long story.) a crazy, long story. Summarizing, we… Liz, so they released her, even being the subject. L: No, she… T: No? Because she did all those things, she killed those people. Ce: She killed people? T: Yeah Agatha’s mother got arrested for killing several people, right?! L: Agatha’s mother, she lost it. My God, but why her? I don’t understand the reason. Ce: Look, I don't understand a lot, but can you read what's on the paper?
L: Big T? T: Let me take a closer look, [Laughs] alright?! It's complicated, guys [Laughs] Rakin: Thiago raised the paper and: T: "Analysis of Environment Evolution with Regional Exposure to subject #1. Name: Ingrid Volkomenn. Age: 42 years old. Blood type: B +. Initial experiment date: 12/22/2018. ". There you have the photo here, guys, of a well-dropped floor here." Day 1: Since the symbol was marked on her body and cell, the petrographic evaluation of the miniature environments of sandy soil located around her cell, previously poor in clay minerals and highly leached, has demonstrated the possibility of
developing vegetation and microorganisms responsible for nutrient storage.". Ce: I didn’t understand a thing, Big T. T: Yeah, me neither, but it is what it is. Ce: Go on, go on. T: Hey, Liz, see if you can understand afterwards. L: Relax, biologist here. T: "Day 3" There is soil here with some grass. "The miniature environments show a humid and temperate climate, with an extremely rapid evolution to common geological patterns. New micro-perforations indicate precipitation of metallic minerals like lead..." Arthur, what are you laughing about? A: I’m not. T: Alright. "...Indicate precipitation of metallic minerals like lead, copper,
zinc, gold, and unidentified crystals that emit radiation not seen before.". Then on the 7th there are some grasses already growing in the soil. "The soil is well developed. With an abundance of microorganisms and geochemical reserves for the most diverse types of plantations. The conditions for obtaining food and mineral resources are ideal.". There is more. "Conclusion: In contrast to environments exposed to the symbol, which present extremely accelerated degradation and decomposition, environments in a spherical region around subject #1 after exposure to the symbol demonstrates evolutionary mutation very appropriate for life. This indicates that the symbol successfully manages
to somehow, to be investigated, convert vital energy into dimensional distortions over nearby areas.". Hey, guys, I'll be honest, I didn't understand. Here, Liz. L: Guys... Gabi: Liz holds the other paper, the paper about Eva Van Gloss. L: Guys, Eva Van Gloss's archaeological expedition began on November 20,2018 (GM: You can pull it up if you want...) to the table. Gabi: Can I? Let me see. I have it here… Dr. Eva. Wow, I'm glad I named it, bro. L: Her archaeological expedition began in Europe, on November 20, 2018. And she returned to Brazil, at the end of
December. Whatever she discovered there, she just applied it to Ingrid. She saw something there with great potential. She brought it here and she started testing Agatha’s mother. And we will have work here, but we have to communicate to the Order that there are things... Ce: Was Agatha's mother, was this Agatha's mother from Carpazinha? L: No, she… (T: She was from São Paulo.) L: São Paulo. We solved this case, man, close to where we lived. It doesn't make much sense. (T: It was kinda crazy.) Ce: Wow, what’s the chance that the two things are connected? T:
I think they developed a test there and thought that here is the ideal place, right? From what I read on this paper it looks like Agatha's mother's grows life around her, so it's like the center of the maze maybe, isn't it? Perhaps she was the first wellspring. L: They are esoterrorists, Cesar, they will always be connected. They will always be trying to open a crack and I think this time they did it. Calango: I take Ingrid’s sheet in my hands, like, I just take it. (GM: You never heard about the crack.) You have never heard
of a crack, Gabi: Only what's written here. GM: Yes, first time you heard about it. It isn’t something that you heard about in your Order research and when you were joining the Order. It isn’t something known by anyone. Calango: Who’s with Ingrid’s sheet? Liz? GM: Yeah. Calango: I take it, without asking, I just take it from her hand and run, and I walk quickly to the Gatekeeper with a pissed off face, like, nervous face. Ce: Do you know this woman, Gatekeeper? Gk: Ahn? No, no, I never saw her. Ce: Look at her, do you know
her? Gk: I never saw her, I don’t know, no. Ce: OK then. Calango: I go back. Ce: Here, Liz, sorry. J: This place, where they tried to plant something, is inside Holy Cradle? L: Well, they came to Holy Cradle in… Gabi: Then I start moving the papers again. L: No, no, this experiment is from 2018, the papers of Carpazinha and Holy Cradle start in 2019. Ce: Do you wanna hear the tape that Thiago found with Ingrid's document? J: Wait. (T: Oh, right, there's another tape.) J: Wait, wait. Do you remember… Luba: Joui, he says it
a bit embarrassed. J: … The cemetery? Rafael Montes’ grave. T: Ah, there is no way to forget that. Ce: I remember. L: Yes. J: Do you remember that the soil was completely dead, but here it's completely alive? Doesn't it seem that the symbol uses some kind of life energy? In living people? L: I imagined something like that a while ago, actually. Those papers that we found mentioning PE, I imagined that this place, it sucks people's lives in a certain way to give life to the place. Or the life of the wellsprings. Gabi: Then I look
at the Gatekeeper. GM: He's still looking a little incredulous, like, at the model. He's listening to you, he doesn't understand anything, like... L: Gatekeeper, come here. Gk: Ahn? Yes? L: I need to ask you a serious question. Gk: Did you find something about entering the maze? L: Do you know what happens to the wellsprings in the center of the maze? Gk: I do, I was one of them. L: So what happens? (Ce: Spit it out.) Gk: We… It’s hard to explain. When you are unaware that there is anything beyond that. It's just what makes sense
to you. It's just the symbol, just it. L: Did you feel that somehow you were feeding the symbol? Gk: I felt that I was one with the symbol. It was the only thing that existed. L: You said that "Saint" and "Holy cradle" are the same thing, right? Gk: The Holy Cradle is the only thing that... They were the only words that I learned. And they were the only ones that made sense, when I was taken out of the room that I was kept in. And it was a... It was very, very, very difficult for me
to be able to adapt to the real world. The world that we are in now. L: Do you remember those papers that we found written "Holy Cradle devours"? L: The Holy Cradle, (Ce: Yes.) L: it's devouring. And I think he’s devouring a piece of this world to feed this crevice. L: I don’t know, but… (J: But how does it devour?) L: I think that… (Ce: Does it devour people's sanity?) Ce: Or maybe their vital energy. L: We know that the membrane exists and that in a place like this it would be extremely thin, perhaps to
the point of opening a breach, I don't know. I never got to that point, but if we really got here. It means that we can have direct contact with the Other Side. Ce: Anyway, I’m in favor of us listening to Thiago’s red tape and keep looking at this room that probably has more secrets hidden here. GM: Joui, roll a Finding for me please. T: Lil C, T: there was one more drawer I forgot to look at bro (Luba: Wow) Luba: my dice is hooked, 003. GM: You see that in front of you, like, behind the
table’s foot over there where they are not able to see, there is another tape on top of a document, with several pictures. J: Liz, there’s something down here. Luba: Joui bends down to pick it up. GM: You find this folder written “Project Holy Cradle”. You find one more tape. J: Guys? Ce: What? J: Look what I’ve found. Luba: I give the paper to... I show them the paper. Ce: What is this? J: All of our answers are here. The five Doctors. Ce: The doctors? Gabi: I take the tape and start analysing it. L: Joui, read
this sheet for us. J: Ok. "Project Holy Cradle". It has the name of the five Doctors they look like... Luba: Joui sighs. J: We have "Doctor Valter Luz", "Doctor Paula Verdante", "Dotor Eva Van Gloss" Dotor Eva Van Gloss? GM: Doctor, miss type, sorry. J: "Doctor Eric Jour", "Doctor Mick Vultz". Each has a very specific function. Below it says: "Procedure and Expectations. The Holy Cradle project, named like this thanks to the behavioral responses of test subject #1, seeks to use the effects of Spiral Hypnosis Distortion as a tool for the study of the Symbol itself and
its effects. With the establishment of an operational base in an isolated region with a weakened membrane, and the use of wellsprings as a source of Potential Energy. [Surprised] P.E.! Studies may reach levels never before approached. Doctors Vultz and Verdante will be responsible for allocating the necessary resources for the initial construction of a sustainable independent life in complete isolation." How did they? We already understood that hey bring people here, but how do they suck the energy? J: Only for us… (Ce: Potential Energy?) L: It’s the wellsprings that feed the Holy Cradle. L: The Gatekeeper was right.
(J: But how?) L: The wellsprings, they live with the symbol, they’re all the time feeding the symbol. Just like the test subject #1 that only spoke of Holy Cradle and... J: Gatekeeper! Luba: Joui looks at him. Gk: Ahn? J: Get naked. Gk: What? Ce: What?! T: What?! J: Guys,.. (Liz:What?!) J: what if he has the symbol on him and that's how he feeds the Holy Cradle. Gk: I don't have the symbol on me. Why would I have? I don't have the symbol on me. J: Are you sure? Gk: Obviously, yes. L: I think he would
know, Joui, he lives the symbol. J: They don't bathe here and they don't have a mirror here. There may be somewhere that they don't see. L: Gatekeeper, can we just look at you back? Gk: Ahn, okay. GM: He turns around, like, and pulls the shirt back. You only see his skinny back and nothing, no symbol, just gray skin. L: It’s okay Gatekeeper. (T: Guys, we didn’t see...) L: Thank you (T: We didn't see the symbol...) Gk: I would never brand the symbol on me. T: on that Savage that we saw that attacked Liz and Lil
C, we didn’t see the symbol. He was naked in front of us. I think that the wellspring that were born here do not have the symbol on the body. I think that maybe the symbol that was in Rafael Montes' head and in Agatha's mother’s head, Ingrid, it was more like, like, building a wellspring and not a spring that was already born wellspring. The symbol, I think, is already inside him, he is already the symbol. L: In fact, the part of nailing the symbol, like they did for Virgulino, for example, they simply turned Virgulino into that
thing that almost killed us. And... Do you remember the crazy old man, who was the Blacksmith, had that symbol nail in his back? L: As if it were burned. (Gk: Who was the Blacksmith?) L: So, Gatekeeper, the crazy old man. When you told me about Holly Cradle, as time went by, the crazy old man had been in Carpazinha for several months with the symbol nail in his back as if it was a burn. And I believe that here in Holly Cradle it has been many years. Gk: The symbol nail like a burn? Who is the
crazy old man? How is someone? No, no one who is connected to Holy Cradle would be able to leave Holy Cradle and stay... and stay away for a long time. It doesn't make sense what you're talking about. I wouldn't even be able to get out of here. T: If what he says is true, Liz, did he nail the symbol in himself so he could get out of Holy Cradle? L: I need to show you a paper, Gatekeeper. Gabi: And then I pull out that paper and I show it to him. L: The Blacksmith carried this
paper with him. He was resisting the parasite. GM: He takes it... Gk: Sorry, I'm not as smart as you are. I don't understand practically anything. This whole place doesn't make sense to me. L: Calm down, Gatekeeper, he… Gk: Sorry, there are a lot of things, we don't have much time. Things didn't go exactly as I planned. My plan involved us finding the Blacksmith. I thought the Blacksmith was going to bring you to the cave. Sorry, I need to think. T: Liz, what is this paper? (J: Wait, if he…) T: Sorry, you can talk, Joui. J:
If the Blacksmith came here, what exactly would your plan be? Kill him? Gk: Yes, if he was afraid of you, I thought you were just the one who could help me kill him and figure out how to end it all. I thought he was going. I didn't think he was going to send the Miner to you, that's why… L: We wouldn’t be able to kill the Blacksmith. Luba: Joui comes closer to the Gatekeeper and says: J: Are you absolutely sure that there is no way to save anyone here inside the Holy Cradle? You're talking about
killing your own father. J: Regardless of what he did, (Gk: I'm talking about saving) J: it is your father. (Gk: the wellsprings) He is not my father. He's my dad, but he's a monster. You don't know what he's doing. You don't know what it is, what it's like to be a wellspring. You don't know the pain, the eternal torture that it is to be one with the symbol. It is impossible to describe. I know you will never understand. I just ask you to accept and help me destroy and save the other wellsprings, that's all that
matters to me. Take away those who never managed to get rid of the torture I experienced. L: I’m really sorry for your friends, Gatekeeper. Gk: My family. L: Your family. Ce: Let’s play the tapes? L: Let’s hear the tapes, please. T: But, Liz, I was thinking about the symbol itself, on the Blacksmith who got out. Gatekeeper, you said that the people can’t get out of this place because the parasite makes them return, right? Gk: You ate and drank here. You… You liked the food here, didn’t you? T: Best quality. Ce: Not really. GM: You liked
it a lot, Cesar, you’re just lying, right? Calango: I know, I know, yes... GM: Ah, ok. He looks at Cesar, kinda... Gk: After you start living in Holy Cradle, you… The thing works in a very subtle way. Nothing in the external world will be as good as here. No food you eat again will have the same taste. No joy you feel outside will be the same. Only here can you find true happiness because here the things are much better than anywhere else. That’s why no one leaves. They are not controlled, like zombies, here is just
much better than any other place. T: I think you’re mistaken. L: I don’t agree with your theory, Gatekeeper, because… Gabi: I grab this paper here, about the internal conflicts and I kinda show him while I read to him. L: Do you see that they kind of forced the people to become ignorant? The more they lived in Holy Cradle, more the Doctors agreed in turn them into ignorants, so you might think this way because you were raised to think this way, but we can try to make an effort and try to get out this trance and
I think this is what the Blacksmith that escaped tried to do. He forced himself to get out this trance, that means get out of the ignorance the Holy Cradle imposed on him. Gk: I don’t get how what you said relates to what I said. I referred to life quality, day by day, of eating delicious food, of living a happy life. No one has problems in Holy Cradle. There are no conflicts, no danger. We live our lives and have no worries. Outside, things are different. No one wants to leave, because here things are peaceful and happy.
Outside everything is unsure. (Ce: The night here is really peaceful.) Gk: When you’re an Ignarus, it can be a little rough, but when you become a Luzidius, you become connected to the Holy Cradle. Things get way more pleasant. That’s why everyone stays when they get here. T: Man, everything you say contradicts yourself. Gk: That’s why I want to wreck this place. L: But that’s why you believe it, Gatekeeper. Gk: Because this… Because it’s literally this happy and pleasant life that they all live, it’s been sustained by my brothers torture. By the hell I lived. A:
Why does the Holy Cradle fear the fire so much? Gk: I don’t know, probably because… I don’t know. Probably because this is what it fears, everyone fears something. Ce: Guys, I’ve been thinking, for the Crazy Old Man, a.k.a Blacksmith, for him to have the symbol in his back, we have two options. Or he is a blacksmith, welding something he could put in his back by himself or he has a complicit, or someone got one of the red crystals and drew that in his back. Because he couldn’t do that all by himself. L: I think that
someone did something to him. Gatekeeper, you see any reason for someone to embed the symbol on it’s own back? Gk: I have no idea of what you’re saying, I’m as confused as you are, I already told you all I know. L: Would you embed the symbol on yourself L: in any situation? (Gk: Why would I do that?) Gk: Of course not, I hate the symbol! Because I only draw it, because I feel like I need to be near it. T: I think it’s exactly what he said, he has the need, so the only way the
last Blacksmith had gone was embedding the symbol on himself, for even if get out the village, he would keep connected to the Holy Cradle, otherwise he would never be able to leave. T: It’s his attempt to run away. (Ce: I think it makes sense.) T: For me, that’s what it seems. That’s why he said he needed to resist the parasite. Ce: Someone helped him run away doing that on his back? Or did he do it by himself? If someone helped him, we don’t know who that is. L: Gatekeeper, at a certain moment I saw, I
think it was the Blacksmith or even you mention that the Last Blacksmith died ten days ago. Gk: She died. L: It's ten days out of Holy Cradle or in Holy Cradle. Gk: Ten days outside Holy Cradle. She died ten years ago. She brought me and raised me, I was able to have a normal life as a Gatekeeper because of her, she truly loved me. It’s hard, I don’t hate the Blacksmith, I hate the Holy Cradle. L: And the Last Blacksmith, by any chance, looked like this? Gabi: And I point at Paula’s picture. GM: He looks
at it. Gk: She was blonde, but she was always in the Luzidius form, sometimes we change a lot when we shift forms, so I can’t say. L: Thank you, it already helps. Ce: Ok, let’s hear the tapes? L: Please. Calango: I get the red tape. GM: Ok. Calango: I take a look at it, does it have anything written on it? I look at both sides. GM: No, no. It’s just... it just has this color on. Calango: Ok. GM: Then you put it, the red tape, and it starts playing. Red tape: "The studies with Eric, using
the Test Subject #1, establish an interesting order of facts. The Test Subject #1, when marked with the symbol on itself, became what Eric called Potential Energy. Its life has been parasitized by the symbol, or rather by the entity invoked by it. The result given is now called spiral hypnosis which affects not only the psyche of the P.E source, but also the environment and its organisms. Eric got in touch with his mentor Mick for more advanced studies. They wait for the local membrane weaken has a great determination on the potential of what they call 'Dimension Parasite’”
T: Dimension Parasite... Guys, my head is frying, I can’t handle it anymore. Ce: Mine too, Thiago, bro. Rakin: Thiago goes upstairs, to Holy Cradle’s shelf. T: His head is frying. (GM: Ok.) GM: You go towards this shelf and you find a paper with his written “Holy Cradle” only and a list with a lot of different information. And this paper is hand written, all hand-written. Rakin: He is reading it, then. GM: You want to read it? (Rakin: Move something, master.) GM: I’ll ask for the others to not read it, because you don’t have it yet, around
him. GM: You find this. (Rakin: Holy shit.) Rakin: Oh my dear God. GM: It does have a lot on it, yes. Rakin: Thiago is reading it, he can’t hear the tapes anymore. Calango: Guys, can we hear this shit, the other one, while you read? Rakin: You’re saying that in the RPG? Calango: No, no, no. Off the RPG. Can we hear the tape while Thiago read the paper? GM: You can do whatever you want, yes. (Rakin: Go for it, bro.) Calango: I’ll Play the blue tape, then. GM: You play the tape number three, and it plays…
here. "With the help of Dr Paula Verdante and Dr Valter Luz, the new studies have given us several answers. Coming to an isolated city, with a weak membrane was a really good idea. Valter explains that the Symbol acts like a host’s mark, as if it grants a way to let the Parasite in. The effects of the Spiral Hypnosis caused by the Parasite has the purpose of granting satisfaction to its host, by their delight or necessity. This then would result in tasteful meals, abundant harvests, and pleasant weather, even making a geological transformation, from unfit land to
fertile. The Parasite keeps their hosts with a high life quality, so they are able to feed it with great Potential Energy. Valter has been trying to utilize animals and corpses that are related with the weakening of the Membrane as hosts of the Parasite, using those dumb Bikers as a supply for P.E.. We gave them little medallions with the Symbol for them to be used as a P.E. supply, but Erick doesn't look satisfied, he has plans to recreate what we learned from Subject 01 but now with 2 people, using what he calls “Wellsprings”, trapped human beings
with their whole life converted as Potential Energy for the Parasite.” (Tape ends) Ce: Wait, so, we are all “parasitized”? L: That's what I said about the Crazy Old Man, it doesn’t make sense for him to crave the Symbol on his own back, why would he want to be parasitized? (Ce: And the Pounded?) L: You guys didn’t search their bodies before burning them, did you? Ce: Uhh... N- Nope… Sorry, we were… L: Nah, it 's fine. I know that you did that in the best of intentions. J: Cesar, I don’t think we are parasitized, cause the
Symbol isn’t on us. Ce: So, we are only parasitized when the Symbol is on us, and we are in the same situation that The Gatekeeper is? Gk: I don’t think it’s like that. I don't quite understand much but we Wellsprings, we don’t have the Symbol carved on us, we just stay in a room with the Symbol. Ce: Cause, Joui, what the doctor said in the tape is that the Parasite acts in a hypnotic way, making our organism do what it wants the most. This would result in tasty food and amazing sensations, so, maybe, just from
being here we are already under the Parasite's influence? I don't know. J: But remember... (L: I think that...) J: What The Gatekeeper told us, the transition only completes itself when we touch those other crystals, and we didn’t do that. Ce: Yeah…That’s true. (L: But we...) L: ...touched the Sludge. At least I did… (Ce: And how does it explain...) Ce: We feel the… Damn, those sandwichy sandwich were really tasty, I hate to admit, but, why did I find them so tasty? It was just a sandwich with another sandwich inside. L: But the Host's Mark can still
be in us in some other way, we need to know how. Gk: I don’t think you have been. (Calango: I start to touch myself, like this) Gk: It doesn’t make sense. You aren’t being used as... Wellsprings. The Wellsprings are being used as... a power source for everything else. My brothers that are are trapped are being used as power sources to sustain this whole city. They are who we want to free. They are the sources, not you. Rakin: Thiago shows up with the paper sheet on his hand, T: Liz! A: It was The Blacksmith who gave
us this armor, maybe it is on us because of that? T: Guys, Guys! Rakin: I shake the sheet in my hands, in agony. L:Say it, Thiago, don’t tell me that you brought more stuff. T: I think that’s the stuff, Liz. Read this for everyone: GM: Then he gives it to you. Gabi: Liz fans herself with the paper sheet, like that. L: “Holy Cradle. The inevitable expansion of this project can result in moral conflict between the Ignari who are yet to understand the greatness of our Holy One. We’ll now start the sanctification and traditionalism process so
that our Holy may prosper more and more. Future generations from the Holy Cradle won’t know what keeps them here, and the ambiental Spiral Hypnosis will keep them alive and happy while The Blacksmith, the chosen leader, will have the responsibility to maintain the Wellsprings, preferably, their own descendants, feeding the Holy Cradle and keeping the Distortion ever alive.” Luba: Joui looks at The Gatekeeper, while he talks about this, while Liz reads this part about the descendants. L: “The peregrination seeks for a replacement in the outside world for vital “Charge”. GM: “Role”. Gabi: Ops, for a vital role.
L: “Translating the findings for traditional rites. The ‘Trial’ will serve as a proof of the temporal distortion for the residents of Holy Cradle. Segregate foreigners as ‘Ignari’ and residents as ‘Lusidii’ as a tactic to keep the secret even harder to access, giving enough time for the Spiral Hypnosis reach the brain. So, when the target eventually finds out about the temporal distortion, they won’t be able to want to leave Holy Cradle. Teach the Lusidii to use the Ignari time counting, for new Holy Cradle Ignari so that the temporal confusion doesn't scare them at the beginning. The
Temporal Distortion must be the last thing to be revealed before the Trial. The Lusidii must be exposed to the Hypnosis crystal only after an extended exposure period to the Spiral Hypnosis so that they are unconsciously accustomed. Otherwise, as seen in Subject 01, the psychological shock can be maddening” Lil’C could’ve died. Ce: Ãhn? J: That’s what the Miner was trying to do. L: But before you did die, you would’ve lost your mind, Cesar. You would’ve gone mad. J: Maybe even fight against us. Ce: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no... Calango:I start to walk in circles.
Gabi: No, not in circles. GM: In spiral circles, Cesar? Calango: No no no, only circles, no spirals. L: “Reveal the truth only to the lineage of Blacksmiths who will choose (GM: Selected) select members from the Holy Cradle that they found fit, for maintenance assistance of the Wellsprings.” That they found fit... GM: Are you with Echo Cancellation on, Gabi? GM: ‘Cus your voice cutting out sometimes. (Gabi: No.) L: “All of the Blacksmith's children must be Wellsprings, so she doesn't develop affection or empathy for her children. We’ll be remembered as The Guardians, as a testament to the
true creators of the future. We’ll be eternals in the Holy Cradle” Ce: So it’s like we suspected right? The doctors are the Guardians. T: Those egocentric fuckers build a statue around a spiral just to satisfy their ego, dude. L: They made... L: They made commandments of the Holy Cradle. Ce: They played God. L: They played God, not only with the people that they created, not only with the Wellsprings that were born here, but with people from the cities around as well. With everybody, they played God with everybody. T: Guys, I don’t know if you noticed,
but with what they said here, each second that we spend here, we are going even more insane, ok? Everyone here. So this little transformation that Joui, Arthur and Cesar did, they are getting closer and closer on getting insane. J: Thiago-Sensei… (Ce: Oh no no no!) Calango: I go back to walking in circles. J: Calm down, calm down. (T: Hey, Lil’ C.) Rakin: I slap Lil’ C’s face, very lightly. Ce: Ouch! T: Calm down, dude. It’s gonna be ok. J: Thiago-sensei. (T: Ahn?) J: I think there’s a reason as to why you and Liz-senpai can’t transform, and
me, Arthur and Cesar can. You remember that I was the first one, right? T: Yeah (L: Yeah.) J: You also remember that I was the most hurt. T: Yeah. J: I think it’s because of the green crystals. T: Really? I mean, the Doc did put these green ones basically inside my head, right? I think if that was the case I also would be a Lusidii. Ce: My first theory was of how open one was to the Holy Cradle, Joui was really open to eat the food and all that stuff.. J: I wasn’t open for not
even a second, Cesar. Ce: What do you mean? (T: Look, guys...) J: I wasn’t open for not even a second. What I wrote in the paper to Liz at the Tavern. Gabi: I grab the sheet that has Joui’s message, and show it, like this. J: Liz-Senpai was really… She was really against everything that was happening and like that we wouldn’t find out anything. So I did write to her, that it was easier for us to look like ignorants and play their little games, cause it was clear that we were being manipulated. Everything was so pretty,
everything was so cool, everyone wishing their welcomes to Holy Cradle, the food was great, the drinks were great. Of course they were trying to manipulate us. Ce: Got it. J: I told her to act like she was clueless so we could get where we are. L: So that we could manipulate them, not the contrary. That’s why, suddenly, I was so open about it, and I became so friendly and started to talk with everyone. I didn’t accept this place at any time, Cesar but, doing that, I found out more about the Blacksmith and from everyone, than
I would if I would've been myself. Ce: Got it, got it, alright. J: That’s exactly what’s written in this sheet of internal conflicts: "Forcing the future of Holy Cradle into ignorance so that they feel blessed instead of researching and exploring more on the other side". Looks like they were trying to do this same game with the residents from Holy Cradle. Ce: So... (L: And...) L: the only person that knew the truth, this whole time, was the Blacksmith. It’s always the Blacksmith. Ce: So, what you demonstrated is precisely what happened with other people that came here?
That was, in fact, clueless. You just acted the way that people normally normally come here and act, right? T: I guess... (L: Basically...) J: I just acted the way... as we were just like an Lusidii, sorry, Ignari, clueless and that we need a home or something. Ce: Got it. L: But in the end, becoming a Lusidii just means becoming ignorant. That’s exactly what it means. You accept the Holy Cradle in the way that it wants you to accept it. You’re under Hypnosis and you don’t know that that you are being hypnotized. You finally become a
host and you think everything is good and the best that it ever was, because you’re serving as a host for the Holy one. And that Holy One isn’t anything more than an entity from The Other Side. So, even if we can take care of the suffering that the brothers of the Gatekeeper have, we will still have to take care of the Holy One. Whatever it is. Taking care of the Wellsprings will only weaken the Entity, but it will still be there and the membrane will also be weak. At this point it is possible that there’s
even a hole in it. If the Holy One can travel from the Other Side to this one… then I don’t know what will happen to us. Ce: We already know how to take care of it. If that “Holy one” appears. Ce: We set it on fire. (Gk: We don’t have any information) Gk: There’s nothing that says how to enter the labyrinth. That's the only thing that matters, just know how to get there and end it all. Ce: Let's finish looking at the room, there must be something (J: Wait.) Ce: hidden here. What? J: Gatekeeper, does
your father have the symbol on him? Gk: I don’t know. J: Does any other Luzidi have the symbol on them? Have you seen anything like that? Gk: I never saw anyone with the symbol, I don't even know what would happen with someone that has it on them. L: Joui, every creature that we found with the symbol carved, every one of them acted in a violent way. They attacked. I think that when you, really turn, into a host of the Creature you become totally violent. You become a body for the real Creature. It’s the creature that’s
in the body, and not a brain anymore, there’s no rational being there anymore. J: But, how did the Crazy Old Man survive for so long, then? Just cause he was outside of the Holy Cradle? L: He was standing up to the parasite. How? I don’t really know, but someone tried to sabotage him, drawing that symbol on his back. GM: Thiago you remember who has more... (Rakin: I wan’to walk ‘round the room) GM: You remember that there's a lot of stuff that you never saw in those cabinets there. On that note board, there’s some stuff you
didn’t get into those cabinets, mainly near the sludge. And when you were passing over there looking, you saw that there’s another sheet near the stairs. Calango: Are there any crystals on this table my dearest GM? GM: If there’s any crystals on this table? It does, but they all are out of energy. Calango: Oh, shit. I was going to refill my red pellets. Rakin: I take the sheet on the other side of the stairs, GM: OK. Rakin: then, I take a look at them. GM: OK. While this happens, what is everyone else doing? Calango: I want
to take one last look into those sheets to see if there’s anything else. GM: Which ones? Calango: The ones under the table, and over it as well to just to be sure if we didn’t let anything pass. GM: You already got every sheet, things on the ground, tapes and stuff that are in this area. Calango: OK. Gabi: I want to observe with a lot of attention the city model and and whatever is under the table as well. GM: It’s exactly what I told already. It’s an old version of the Holy Cradle, I already told you
what you can see on it. You can’t see anything more specific than that. It’s a pretty well made city model, like, it was certainly made by a professional. Someone that knows how to make models. (Gabi: And under it?) GM: Under the table you can see a little bit of the sludge leaking, like this, and nothing else. Gabi: Yay. GM: Wait, you look in this direction, wait, OK. No, you look in this direction and there’s nothing more. Cesar, then, start to go… Wait a bit, during the time that you were looking, Cesar starts going in the
direction of this note board, and sees a single sheet that is pinned by a thumbtack, on this board. Every other document is on the floor, looks like they fell and there’s some others torn up, like that. The document that you find is this one Calango: OK. Nobody read it, get out. Gabi: I’m far away.. Guaxi: My hand it’s over it, but I'm not reading. GM: And Thiago, you got this sheet that I’m gonna ask to nobody else to read. Rakin: Nice, man. In a little bit Liz is gonna have more documents to read. GM: You
can vary on who reads the letters, I think it’s cooler this way. Rakin: Where’s mine? GM: Yours it’s on top left, there. Rakin: This one? (GM: Yup, this one, this one.) GM: OK, Liz, you see Cesar reading a paper and Thiago reading another. Arthur also sees it (Gabi: Ok, I’ll go to Lil’C that I’m closer) GM: and Joui as well obviously. Luba: What did you say? GM: You guys can see Cesar and Thiago reading a paper each one. Luba: I’ll go there with Thiago. GM: OK. Then you can read the sheet on top right. Arthur
as well. Guaxi: Yes. GM: Right, if you are going to read, read it out loud, there’s no need for everyone to read it quietly. Calango: OK, I'm gonna read it to Liz. Ce: Liz, I'm gonna read it here. Look what I found. Gabi: Go. Ce: This looks like some kind of registry, or relatory about Doc. Eva's expedition in New Zealand... I mean, to Europe.. Here “Following the order of Decojuration, this archive records the archaeological expedition led by Eva Van Gloss into recently found ruins on the remote island Heilag Vagga. Military documents of that time indicated
a patrol camp sent a year before the sudden eruption of the volcano on the island. The ruins that were found are from a developed civilization that emerged and prospered on that island for hundreds of years, without any kind of textual record. The local geological formation is completely unregulated and incompatible with the region, resulting in some kind of unnatural mutation” It was a Holy Cradle version: Old! OK, continuing “Large buildings and stone tablets contained the same spiral symbol carved. The civilization seemed to keep some kind of cult or adoration of this symbol. The social development isn't
compatible with the dates previously analyzed in the documents, showing a highly accelerated evolution, considering the volcano's eruption was earlier considering the regional geological calculations. The determinations of Decojuration, are to continue with independent studies around the Spiral Symbol until more relevant information is obtained." The Holy Cradle has already existed in the past and that is what Dr. Eva found L: Then… My God. Wait, my head... Ce: And they also had Wellsprings that also drew symbols in this old Holy Cradle, perhaps the same thing that has happened in the past is about to happen now. The Wellspring
rebelled and destroyed Holy Cradle. L: But we need to find out how they destroyed Holy Cradle. GM: Your voice is cutting out a lot, Gabi, I don’t know why. Is it only for me? Gabi: Really? Calango: Yeah. here too. Turn the echo cancelation on and off. It sounds a lot like echo cancelation. Gabi: It’s off, but I'm gonna turn it on to see. Now it’s off, I turned it on and off. (GM: Now it’s better.) Calango: Now it’s better, now it’s better. Gabi: Nice. Guaxi: Damn, it sounds like you are with a megafone now. Gabi:
Oh, perfect. I didn’t… I just turned it on and off. Ok, ahn... L: So, Lil’ C, it looks like they destroyed, but, like, y'know? It was a job poorly made, ‘cause Eva... She managed to find this place and to bring life to Holy Cradle, one more time. Or whatever they called that place. So, if we are gonna do it, we need to do it in a right way, so it will never be found again. Ce: Yeah, I definitely don't know how we are going to... blow up the place here?! I don't Know. But, anyway, it
isn’t weird for those guys in the Old Holy Cradle to just kill everyone and and didn’t bother leaving the ruins behind. Well, if that’s what you are saying, we'll... need to explode here. L: Is the saying “We fight against esoterrorists and everyday more appear" looks like this never ends. Also… I still don’t understand why they went after Ingrid, it doesn’t make sense to me. Why Agatha’s mother? Ce: Me too... I’ll know even less than you, Liz. Gabi: I walk… Well, no. Let the boys interact, then after I do my action. T: Hey, Joui. Calango: I’ll
start to search over here. Gabi: I was gonna search there. GM: Roll a spot hidden please, you two. You guys already saw there, you two come here, you already saw everything You guys already saw there, you two come here, you already saw everything Calango: 33, it was Good, dude. (GM: Good?) Gabi: It was Good for me as well. GM: Ok. Initially, you find... in the middle. Here, it has a lot of paper full of sludge. But there is one, specifically, that you can still read. Which is this one. You can only read the title. And
it has several calculations. (Ce: Oh, yuck, dude.) Calango: I pick up paper that is all sticky. L: Throw it on the city model, it’s all yucky. Ce: Oh, no. It’s fine, I’m wearing gloves. I can’t read anything, Liz. can you see anything? “Time distortion analysis based on Potential Energy” L: Do you see the amount of calculations? This is definitely Eric Jour's. Or from his mentor, Mick. Ce: So, they only are able to distort time because of the Wellsprings. L: And they suck the Wellspring’s Potential Energy to do it. Ce: Aham, yeah. Well, we won't know
exactly how they do it, but... The Wellsprings are the ones who make time run differently here. At least that’s clear now. GM: When you get down, to pick up the paper, you have a weird feeling, Cesar. Roll an... Paranormal Exposure, please. Calango: Damnit dude. (Rakin: Hmm…) Rakin: At least it’s not sanity. Calango: I failed dude. GM: You failed? It's okay. Even so, you still have a weird feeling. you don’t know exactly what it is, in relation to a specific sheet. That’s a little bit further. You don’t know what it is, It feels like someone whispered
in your ear to look at it. There’s a sheet, that gave you shivers, only by looking at it. It's really dirty. Calango: Ok, I.. I’ll just have a shocked expression and go into its direction to pick it up. GM: You approach it, you pick it up. It's really dirty. But you see something strange. You see what looks like.. a symbol with 5 sides, and you only recognize one thing on it. Calango: In this case, I only recognize the symbol we know? GM: Yes. Calango: Ok. I pick up this sticky sheet, like this. Calango: I’m trembling,
like this. L: It’s everything alright? Ce: I don’t know what’s this, Liz. But it’s giving me... (Gabi: Do I recognize it GM) GM: You… Roll for Paranormal Exposure, please. Gabi: Hm, I have so little on it. Uh, wait, I'm lost here. Paranormal Exposure, wow. I got a 12! I got it! GM: You look at the symbol on the bottom, you feel like you have seen it before. You know you’ve seen it before. You don’t know exactly where. (Gabi: I’ll take a picture. I didn't touch it.) GM: It’s fine, relax. You know that you’ve seen it
before. Somewhere. but you don’t know where, but on some other investigation that you did, somewhere in Agatha's case, this symbol was there. And now we can come back to… While this happened, on the other side. Our friends are talking about the other letter. Which will be read now. Calango: The sheer amount of sheets, dude. T: Joui. GM: You can react, don’t need to be muted. You can say it, Gabi. Gabi: No, I’m just... GM: If you know where it is from, (Gabi: I’m looking at the sheet.) You can talk about it as a player. There's
no problem. Gabi: Right, I'll let them interact first. GM: Ok, ok. T: Did you see what's written here? J: I did, sensei. GM: Ok, you can read, you can read out loud. After, we'll consider it as if you all had read together. T: “No god. Parasite. December 12, 2019. 21:32:13. I’m the Blacksmith, Mick can’t take it from me. The team has been compromised. They don’t realize. Only still I remember. The Hypnosis crystal. They are connected to the parasite. How foolish they were to allow themselves to touch it. The parasyte doesn’t allow me to approach. I
had to carve the Great Symbol on me to guide myself through the labyrinth. We are scientists. It’s not a God. It's a parasite Mick needs to remember that. The symbol is strong. Do not forget. I’ll confront Mick today. We need to go away or destroy the original parasite. If Mick doesn't agree, I'll expose the Holy Cradle. I’ll find the Order’s investigators and show them how to get to Holy Cradle. I just can't forget. I can’t let the symbol make me forget. I’ll lock the lab and destroy all keys. They won’t destroy the work that I
did. Not Holy. Parasite. Parasite. Parasite." Joui, Valter or Eric were the Crazy Old Man. One of them, cut the other’s tongue to not reveal anything. To anyone. Luba: Joui puts his head down and keeps thinking. The feeling that he's got is that. It's the last time, he will see his friends together. T: Let’s go back to them, we have show them now. GM: Ok, you pass through the Gatekeeper, he’s just looking at the City’s Model, thinking. You get there and they just picked up this sheet with symbols and are looking at it. Uhum. Calango: This
sheet was more over here, right? GM: It was really close to the sludge. Calango: You see me ducked. My knees are touching a little bit on the sludge, and I just raised the sheet for Liz. T: Lil’ C get away from the sludge. Rakin: I run to him and pull him. I unintentionally bump into Liz a little, I apologize. Ce: Thiago… T: Lil’ C, get away from there, What are you doing close to the sludge? Get up! Ce: That sheet, Thiago. L: Thiago... T: What sheet? L: Thiago… T: What is it, Liz? What happened? I
just.. You won’t believe what I just read with Joui. What happened, why are guys like this? L: Goddamned Esoterrorists. Urg, how I hate them! T: I don’t understand, what happened? L: Do you see this sheet? Lil’ C show it to him. T: What sheet, I don't know. I only know about this one. Calango: I show Thiago the sheet. Rakin: I take their sheet in my hand.. T: What is this here? Uh...I can see the spiral, but what is this other symbol here? L: Thiago, Do you recognize something from this sheet, Thiago? Rakin: Do I GM?
GM: Paranormal Exposure. Rakin: Let’s see if I can recognize, guys. Help guys, I looked a lot at this sheet but I didn't recognize nothing at all. T: I don’t know guys. L: Thiago… T: What's this, Liz, I don’t know. L: I saw this before. In our last case. I already saw this. But I don't remember.. if it was in the book that I used to break Agatha and Gabriel’s spell. Or if it was in another part of the bunker. But I already saw this symbol. T: Ok, but what does it mean? L: It means that
the Holy Cradle... Pay attention to the symbol, the Holly Cradle symbol. in the corner of the page. T: Yes? L: It’s just a part of something greater. The esoterrorists, their plan goes way beyond. The Holy Cradle is just a piece of it. (Luba: GM) T: Wait, (GM: Yes?) so this.. Have five edges? Luba: I want to roll a Finding, so I can try to find a pen. GM: You find it. You don’t even need to roll it. You see a pen among the papers. Luba: Ok. T: So there are three more symbols? If there is
one “here” and “here”, are three more things that happened? How is this connected to that? I can't grasp it. L: I don’t know what the esoterrorists want, Thiago. (Luba: Joui pulls the Gatekeeper. ) L: If I can guess… Gk: What? J: Gatekeeper, come with me, please. Gk: Ok. What happened? GM: Ok, go on. You didn’t even notice it. (T: Maybe if we...) L: I… L: If I could guess, I think this symbol is some kind of evocation to open the Membrane, connecting one world to another. It’s like a portal. That’s exactly what the esoterrorists are
trying to do all these years. And all these years we try to stop them. I think we’re closer to the end, Thiago. T: No, no, we aren’t closer to the end. This here, we have to take it to the Order. As soon as possible. ‘Cause if this is only a part, This here, we have to take it to the Order. As soon as possible. ‘Cause if this is only a part, and it’s connected to Agatha’s case. Then there's three more things that they’re planning. I think, what if we take it outside of Holy Cradle and
as soon as we get out, put a fire close to the sludge so the it gets out of the paper. Maybe we can take out the sludge using fire. (L: No, ) Just putting close, (L: It won't work.) T: We need to know what it is. T: No, it’s going to work, there's no way. L: We need to know the chemical components of the sludge, so we can take it out of the paper. It’s safer to take it to the Order and let them do the process. The fire will only make things worse, I guess.
T: I think that if we put fire close, the sludge will go away. We know the sludge doesn’t like fire. This is clearly sludge, even though it’s dry. (T: But here is not-) GM: Ok, I’m gonna.. GM: I’m gonna mute Rakin, Calango and Gabi. Arthur, as he is quiet and paying attention to everything. Sees Joui calling the Gatekeeper. The others don't. Rakin: Goodbye. Guaxi: I'll saty close. GM: Ok. J: Gatekeeper, does the symbol need to be drawn in blood? Gk: What? What do you mean? J: When you draw the symbol, how do you draw it?
Using what? Gk: Using anything, but what is this question? What matters is... I don’t know. Well, did you find something? J: Yes, I found. I found a way of getting in the center of the maze. GM: He stares at you. J: Wait, don't react. To get into maze, we need to have the symbol in our body. I need you to draw the symbol on me. Gk: But, not- Ok, but it shouldn't be simple as just draw the symbol with... GM: He sees you holding a pen. Gk: …with a pen. Isn’t there any kind of indication...
on how to draw the symbol? J: Not in the document I found. That's why I asked if it needs to be with blood or not. Gk: I have no idea, I never thought about it, but... J: The document says “mark the symbol”. (Gk: Can I see it?) It has to be with fire? With…? J: Sure. Luba: Do I have the note, GM? GM: Roll a Luck test. Luba: Failed. GM: No. Luba: But I remember it, right? GM: Roll an Intelligence test. Luba: Extreme. (Luba: 8.) GM: So you remember it precisely. You can read form the
note. J: From what I remember, Gatekeeper, it said: “The holy parasite doesn't allow me to approach. I had to carve the Great Symbol on me to guide myself through the labyrinth.” That’s exactly what it said. Gk: "The great symbol in me”? J: It can only be this symbol, right? Gk: But why does it it call it “great symbol”? Nobody say it like that. (Guaxi: Do I notice the guys are....) GM: Yes, they didn't notice. Guaxi: I’m gonna turn like this. Gk: Maybe it’s an indication of the size of the symbol. Maybe it’s not as simple
as drawing it. Small. Maybe we have to make it, literally big. J: As in the back of the Crazy Old Man we found. Gk: I don’t know what... Maybe, I don’t know what you’re talking about. A: Joui. J: Hi, Arthur. A: I’m listening. Gk: But… (Gk: We’ve got a problem.) J: Please, don’t react. A: Okay. J: What’s the problem? Gk: I've been trying to find a way out since I got here, but there's none. GM: He starts weeping a little. Gk: We’ve been here for too long and if the Blacksmith didn’t came here, he’s expecting
the the Miner to have killed you all, or at least you get back completely connected to the Holy Cradle. There’s no way... for you to comeback to the Holy Cradle right now. The whole city must be in a sort of routine trying to find me. They must be in some intense search. All Lusidii must be running and walking around the town. They know I probably didn't got out, because.. it’s possible to get up in my tower and look around. After all, the world outside is much slower than here. They know I’m in the Holy Cradle
somewhere. It’s just a matter of time until the Blacksmith gets here, looking for the Miner. If he doesn’t get here soon. J: And they’re gonna find the Miner’s body up there. Gk: Or ourselves. The only alternative, if the way of getting in the maze is marking one’s body. I’d ... I’d mark it, I’m I’m the most.. connected to the Holy Cradle. I believe I could handle whatever the symbol does to you. But there’s no way. I’ll have to sacrifice myself. (J: What do you mean?) Gk: I will cause a distraction. Gk: It’s the only way
you can get into the maze. If the Blacksmith finds out that you’re alive and the Miner is dead, he’ll find a way to kill you as well and put the whole city against you. J: No. You don’t need to sacrifice yourself, calm down. (J: Hold on) Gk: There’s no other way. J: Hold on, hold on. If they’re looking for you, we can say you attacked the Miner and we we take you as our prisoner or something. (Gk: It would work.) You don't have to do it. GK: If you all had the lusidius form. GM: He
points to Liz and Thiago with his head. Gk: But they’re not going to transform. They can’t transform, They’re not connected with Holy... (J: 'Cause we didn't touch the crystal?) Gk: Because they were not consumed by the Holy Cradle enough, so they can transform. The Blacksmith won’t buy it, no matter what you say. He’s smarter than he seems. He’s afraid of you, he wants to get rid of you. J: We can say you got the Miner by surprise and we caught you right after that. A: Or only the ones who have the lusidius form go out
and make them not to look in the cave’s exit. Gk: If the Miner is not alive, there’s no chance the Blacksmith would risk it. I’m sure about that. The only way you can manage to get into the maze, is If I call the attention of the whole town. Of the Blacksmith guard's attention. (J: No!) Of the Blacksmith. J: No! Luba: Joui screams. J: Enough! Enough of sacrifices, deaths! (GM: I'll unmute the others.) J:Enough…Enough! Enough! Gk: There’s no other option. J: There must be another option! There is no- There is no- enough! I can’t. Gk: There’s
no other option! L: What’s with all the screaming? Gk: I need to (T: What’s going on, fellas?) Gk: trust you for that! Gk: One of you (T: What’s going on?!) L: Why are you screaming? Gk: One of you must mark this symbol! (T: What?!) I wish it could be me, but it can’t! (L: Are you insane?) Gk: One of you must mark the symbol and end this. T: Did you smoke crack, bro? GM: We’re gonna take a break now and in five minutes we’re back to (Calango: Did you smoke crack, bro? ) continue the investigation.
GM: Five minutes and we’ll be back, let’s go. [TSIF Break] GM: We’re back from the break. Thank you very much to you watching, thank you to all of you subscribing, to those participating here live or in the recordings when it’s posted. I hope you're enjoying. GM: And we’re back, everyone. (Gabi: No, dude.) GM: Hello, Hello. Calango: Hey. They’re cursing me, please stop GM: I'll be very sad. (Gabi: I wasn’t about you,) Gabi: we were cursing ourselves. Calango: It was Rakin. Rakin: It was Calango. GM: Back to the world, you saw- you looked behind surprised by
the screams. Joui and Gatekeeper were arguing over something and Arthur was observing it. T and Ce: What’s going on? L: Why all the screaming? J: Enough! Gk: There's no choice! J: I should have died long ago! I can’t stand it anymore. T: What the hell? Gk: Understand that, no matter the ending, that’s my- it's my doom. J: Listen… Gatekeeper: I’ll succumb with the Holy Cradle anyway. (Gk: I’d rather...) J: We don’t know that! J: You said we don’t know that. J: I’m the person they trust the most. Gk: I know, I can feel it. Luba:
Joui is angry, Huffing with rage. Gk: This is the only way, Gk: it’s no use. I’m trying, I’m repassing in my head all the alternatives I can think of. Gk: This is the only way. J: Of all the people here, I’m who I’m who they trust the most up there. They think I'm ignorant, and think I’ll accept anything. So you’ll make the symbol on my back and we’re finding a way of you not sacrificing. L: Joui, no. T: You’re not making the symbol, bro. Joui, you are not doing it. L: Did I hear it right?
Are you insane?! J: I’m not insane, Liz, it's the only way. We need the symbol on someone to guide us inside the maze J: and then end it all for good. T: Joui, we didn’t even try it yet. We didn’t try to get to the center yet. Why do you say it’s the only way? Did you try everything? Ce: Why one of us? J: Thiago, you remembered us... (Gk: I was explaining that to him.) Gk: Since I saw the Miner, it wasn’t meant to be him. I thought the Blacksmith would do the job. I thought
he bringing you here. I thought we'd get rid of him then. It was my plan. But now there’s no way out The whole town is looking for me. The whole guard, with the whole town, is looking. They know I'm here, it would be visible from my tower. I wish I could mark the symbol. I know that, among us, I'm fit for this. But then... J: Then do it. Ce: Why does it have to be one of us? Gk: The Blacksmith is looking for me and he sent the Miner here to deal with you If you
show up without the Miner he’ll know it didn't work and he’ll get rid of you He’s smarter than he seems. J: I tell them you killed him Gk: They won't believe it. Look at my size Me against the six of you. The only way I killed the Collector and the Helper is because I surprised them, from behind, they trusted me. Ce: Joui, what if you get out and say that we betrayed you and that we helped the Gatekeeper to kill the Miner. We hide inside here, we close the door. He doesn’t know we opened it.
We stay inside here, hidden. T: This is dangerous. There's no way. We’re not doing this. J: There is Ce: I’m thinking of a way of not being one of us. Why does one of us have to sacrifice? T: But no one has to sacrifice. J: There's no one else, we’re here for it. T: Why do have to make a sacrifice? We didn’t even try yet... L: Gatekeeper… (Ce: Do you think something good will happen?) J: We tried. We got in the maze J: and got nowhere. T: We only walked for ten minutes Literally only ten
minutes. Gk: If there was a way, I would have already done it. J: You saw the page, sensei Gk: Now that I know how to get in. Now that I can go and save my brothers. Now that I know... I can’t because I... I can't get to the center. The Blacksmith will find us first. Gk: The lusidii will find us first. T: We don't have to go back there. We don’t know where it'll take us, I see a ladder. Rakin: I go to the ladder and climb because I’m pissed. GM: OK, you climb it. You
see a metal hatch above you. Rakin: I try to open it. Right away GM: Roll Strength. Rakin: Wow, I got 8 Extreme. GM: You start pushing it, it’s heavy. [SHISH] You open it a little and when you let go, you can see you can see a room that you don’t recognize full of boxes and metal tools with a bed pretty big in a corner and lots of tools, weapons. T: Guys, come here. Before a discussion, we gotta know everything. GM: I didn’t say that there was a metal lock on the hatch that you pulled to
open it, OK? There was a lock on the internal side. Rakin: OK. L: Thiago, what're you doing? T: Come here. No need for arguing, sacrificing or the maze if we don’t know everything. GM: Roll a Listen to me, please, Thiago. Rakin: I'm good at that one. I got better at it. Gabi: Thank God, right? Rakin: I'm killing it today. Extreme. GM: Extreme? When you start lifting and opening the hatch, you see this room… you kind of... didn't notice before you were listening, behind you - you see a closed door - you hear voices of people
talking and metal noises. Rakin: In the room? GM: Not in, somewhere aside from it. You hear people talking. You don’t know or recognize them. T: Guys, come here, quick! L: “Come here”? You’re on the ladder. GM: You get down? Rakin: I lower it, but I don’t close it. Rakin: I leave it leaning. T: Come here. There’s someone up here. Ce: But what is in there? T: I don’t know. It’s a room. There're weapons and lots of things. Ce: A room? What kind of room? L: A room with weapons? (T: No clue, ) L: What kind
of weapons? (T: there’re boxes.) GM: There are weapons like a hammer... T: There’s a hammer. (GM: There are big metal forging tongs, swords.) T: It might be the Blacksmith’s workshop. L: Wait, wait. Gatekeeper? GM: He’s thinking Gk: What? uh, uh? L: What’re the chances of this ladder leading us to the Blacksmith’s room? Gk: Pretty high actually, Gk: considering the path we took. (T: It is the Blacksmith's room) L: Thiago? T: Close it. L: Close it. Rakin: I lock it all. L: Right, OK. Why would it lead to the Blacksmith’s room? Because he's the only one
who knows the truth about Holy Cradle. But if he'd use the hatch to get in here then why did that Blacksmith have a keycard? Ce: Man, why did he lie about having access to here? He knows we’re here. GM: The hatch is closed from inside. Guaxi: OK. (T: This paper here. ) Calango: From our side? GM: Yes. Calango: OK T: Remember that Crazy Old Man? Joui and I, we read a paper that said he was Erick Jour or Valter, who was the original Blacksmith. Gabi: Master, as I analyzed the Crazy Old Man’s body, can I
recognize, by the faces in the photo if it was Dr. Valter or Dr. Erick (Gabi: the man’s body?) GM: Intelligence test. Gabi: OK. Wow, I think it… it's Good. GM: You see similarities, but he was too old, it might be another person. Gabi: But... OK. Gabi: But do I see similarities with Valter or Erick? GM: With Erick. L: It might be it might be. If the Crazy Old Man was Erick, he was the Blacksmith, then Mick was the Builder, Dr. Eva was… Dr. Eva, J: Gatekeeper, how fast can you make the symbol? Luba: I whisper.
Gk: I don’t know, how big? What do I use? With this pen? J: Will it work? Gk: We can try Are you sure you want to hide it from them? J: They wouldn’t let me do it. Gk: Where do I do it? J: Let’s guard the door (Gk Maybe 30 seconds.) J: while they decide. J: OK. Gk: Maybe one minute. J: OK. Tell them you’re... (Gk: I what?! ) J: guard the door... Gk: I won’t do this. You decide. I don’t want to… You’re my last hope. J: OK. Gk: What happens if I made this
symbol? I'd rather tell them. J: I don’t want them to know, they wouldn’t let me. Gk: I don’t know happens. J: I don’t care! I don’t care. Come. Luba: I pull him to the door. GM: Everyone roll Finding. Gabi: Oh gosh I failed. Guaxi: 13. Gabi: I failed. Calango: Failed. Rakin: I got 21 Very Good. GM: Arthur and Thiago see Joui pulling him (T: What are you doing?) GM: Wait, 13 is what? GM: Arthur, is it Extreme ? Guaxi: Extreme. GM: Extreme? So you see it. A: Joui?! Guys, look! T: What are you doing? GM:
You see Joui pulling him, Rakin: I run to them. J: Sensei, J: We’re gonna guard the door. J: Didn’t you find a hatch? L: Oh, you’re... You’re not guarding the door with the Gatekeeper. Calango: Did they lock the hatch? Gabi: Yes. Calango: OK. T: Gatekeeper, I wanna talk to you really quick. Can you come with me real quick? Gk: Oh my God, OK. All right. What...? T: Come here quickly. Luba: I go too Joui goes too Gk: I need to trust you You’re my last hope, my only hope! I lived just for this moment. you’ve
got to you’ve got to save us, and end it all. Can I trust you? Please, say yes. It’s my last hope! T: You can, you can. I just want to say something, just one thing. A little thing L: Big T? T: No, it’s OK, nothing will happen. I won’t do anything. Gk: All right, what is it? T: I want to make it clear what I think of putting the symbol on someone. It’s a stupid idea, no one here is doing it. It’s really quick, I wanna say one thing. You hear? L: Thiago, I know you
better. T: No, chill. L: I know what you want (Rakin: I'm impatient,) L: I’m won't let you do this. Rakin: I pull the his collar so hard and say: T: Listen to me. Joui is desperate with this idea, I don’t know what he’s asking you to do, but if you put a finger in him, I’ll kill you. We’ll go away (L: Thiago!) T: and whatever you want, T: fuck it. We won’t help anymore. You hear? Gk: I just want you to end this, it’s all I want. Gk: I can’t choose... (Rakin: I push him.) Gk:
I’m trying… I’m trying! But there’s no other way! Can’t you understand there’s no way?! If I could, I would put this symbol in me, it’s obvious I’m the most apt for this, but I can’t! There’s no other way. They’ll find you. You can't fool the Blacksmith, you’re not part of the Holy Cradle. You can’t turn into a lusidius, can you? T: We don’t need to. We don’t need a Parasite inside us for us to find it. There must be a way. Gatekeeper: But the Blacksmith would know... Rakin: I start looking at the files one by
one, fast, trying to find a way, desperate. Calango: Just one one thing, dear Master, Maybe not, you would’ve told me, did I recognize the symbols? in the paper? From my past? GM: No. Calango: OK. A: Gatekeeper... GM: You see him crying. He’s kind of crying looking at the crystals on the table. A: How fast can you run from the cave’s entrance to this door? Gk: Definitely not fast. The cave is a maze. I could only get the crystal because I’m part of the Holy Cradle, I can feel it. But I wouldn’t find the way back
easily. Ce: What about the Miner’s helmet? Gk: I don’t know the maze. Seeing or not… I considered the helmet. Without it, I wouldn’t see anything. It would be impossible for me. Ce: Got it. A: I was thinking about a way to cause a distraction in the cave door to make the Blacksmith leave and we go up. Gk: The only distraction… This is what I’m talking about. The only distraction is me. I’m what they want. I’m the one that would take the his attention away. Ce: What if we draw... J: Or this or we start at
night. Gk: No, there’s no... I thought about it it’s impossible. J: Why? Gk: Because we don’t know when it’s going to be night. This is my job, the bell is mine, but I’m here. No one will ring it. Yet, the night might take a long time, we don’t know how long it'll take to arrive. The Blacksmith will come take us before night for sure. J: The first time we came here... (A: We could use fire.) J: Exactly. Gk: It’s a way. Gabi: I was walking to Thiago, I turned around like this. I heard until the
fire part. L: Gatekeeper? Gabi: I take off of my clothing a flare gun hangs like this. GM: You take your gun off. He looks at you and the sludge beside you. Gk: No. Definitely not. L: Not here. Gk: We’re too close to it. Gk: We won't live (Gabi: It’s out of bullets.) Gk: if we set fire here. J: Got it L: We don’t have to do it up here, but we can start it outside at night. Gk: How? Where? L: Do you think you can get to the cave door? Gk: What cave? L: This cave,
(Gk: No,) L: to turn back and leave. (Gk: I can’t find my way in it. ) Gk: As I said. L: But, well, we can always go through this hatch. Ce: Gatekeeper, what if we draw this symbol on a lusidius? Not one of us. Gk: How? Who? Ce: Maybe Cibele. Gk: How would you go without being seen? By the Blacksmith? Gk: Without being taken. (J: Cesar,) Gk: With all the searching... J: You rather do the symbol on Cibele than on one of us? Ce: Yes, Joui, I do. J: She can get out of here alive,
she’s not part of the Holy Cradle yet J: She hasn't done the trial. (Gk: You didn’t understand, there is no) (Gk: way out of this cave) Ce: Neither have we. Gk: without being caught? Ce: There must be a way, there must be. Gk: I wish there was. Trust me, ever since you got here, I've been trying to find an alternative. A: Maybe someone could go back and say they got lost from the group, something like that, maybe it'll work? Gk: Do you think the Blacksmith's stupid?! Quit being idiots! A: He thinks we are. Gk: You
guys are the only hope to end this hell! I'm sorry. A: Sorry, man. Ce: So what do you suggest? We're gonna have to leave anyway, we're gonna meet the Blacksmith, and then what? Finish him? Are we gonna have to take down a three meters dude? Gk: I'm gonna go out, gather their attention If the Blacksmith finds me, it'll be enough for him. He'll execute me or whatever it is that he wants to do with me. And then, you'll have the opportunity to go unnoticed into the maze. It's the only way. Luba: Joui approaches the Gatekeeper
with tears in his eyes. GM: He's also crying a lot. J: I finally understand why you did what you did to your friends. You wanted to free them, I get that. And I saw what you did for Arthur, I can barely look at him. I can't even look at Arthur anymore because everything that's happening to him is our fault, it's my fault. He's lost his father, he got himself hurt, he shouldn't even be here. He wasn't part of any of this. I'm tired of seeing my friends suffering. My sensei isn't gonna hurt you. Luba: Joui
starts pulling off his clothes and hands him the pen. J: Quick. GM: He looks around, and he starts to draw a external circle Calango: I grab... (A: Stop!) Calango: I grab his arm (Guaxi: I slap his arm, ) Guaxi: I slap him with my only arm. J: Arthur No! A: No J: Please let me do this. (A: it's just like you said, no.) A: You just said I lost everything. I lost everyone, I lost my arm, do you think I'm gonna lose you too? A: No fucking way, I'm the one who's gonna do this shit.
(J: Yes!) J: No! A: Yes. Luba: Joui unsheathes his sword. Guaxi: I open my chest, Luba: Joui draws the sword and points it to Arthur. J: Gatekeeper, continue the symbol, please. Ce: Can I roll a Prestidigitation or a Stealth (Guaxi: I get closer to your sword) for me to stretch out my arm for the Gatekeeper to draw the symbol on me? Without them seeing it. GM: It's Stealth, if you wanna stretch your arm, but your arm is completely covered by your clothes. Calango: Ah, I cuff my sleeves, I roll up the sleeve GM: Ok, you
can roll a test for Stealth, they won't notice only if you roll an Extreme. Rakin: Do I notice all that's happening, master? GM: Yeah you've heard the screams, you're seeing like (Rakin: Ok.) you're seeing the fight going on. What were you doing up here? Rakin: I was looking for documents. Gabi: I was gonna get to Thiago's shoulder, and put my hand. Calango: OH, come on... Yeah, I failed. GM: Ok L: Thiago, this isn't the time to lose our minds. T: I'm not losing my mind, I'm just… There must be another way, it can't be that
the only way to get to the middle of the maze is with this. When I was inside the spider, I was inside the maze. Inside the spider, I felt that I was inside the maze. There is another way, I didn't have the symbol in me. There has to be another way! No one needs to sacrifice themselves for this. L: I agree with you. It's a shitty situation and we could find different solutions, but I think right now this is the only option we have and I need you with me to try and talk to them
to solve this, Because they'll all want to get themselves into this and the fault of everything that's happening is ours, we... Arthur shouldn't even be here to begin with, Joui is just a child, and Cesar, Cesar lost his father... They shouldn't be going through this. I think you get what I mean, it's either you or me. J: Arthur, please, get back. Guaxi: I get closer. Rakin: I get up... Do I still have my gun, master, the Magnum? GM: You have your gun, yes. GM: You see Joui, (Rakin: Okay.) GM: You look back and you see
Joui pointing and touching the sword now, since Arthur took a step forward... on Arthur's chest, Luba: I pull it back, I don't wanna hurt him, I pull it back. Rakin: I get over here with my Magnum in hands and point it to the Gatekeeper's head. Gk: Huh?! J: Sensei! T: Joui, I swear, if you keep insisting on that, I'll blow up the Gatekeeper's head here and now J: If you do that, you're blowing up any opportunity we have of winning J: against this place. (Gk: Don't do this!) T: Sacrificing yourself isn't a win. (GK: I'm
gonna die anyway! It's the only hope you have.) Gk: Don't do this, if you kill me all of you die and the Holy Cradle will go on Don't do this, please! It's not for me, it's for my brothers. GK: It's for everything I've done here so far. (J: Lower the gun, sensei.) Rakin: I pull the gun pin. (L: Thiago) Gk: For the love of god! GK: Don't kill me, I can't die! (L: Thiago, Thiago.) GK: I'm the only way you all can do this! (T: Sacrificing yourself isn't victory, Joui.) J: He's also sacrificing himself. What's
the difference? Gk: Stop him! J: He's suffered his whole life, what's the difference? Calango: I hold on to Thiago's wrist and try to take the gun off of the Gatekeeper's head. GM: Ok, roll a Dexterity. (Ce: Oh, Thiago…) Calango: Dexterity? I pull from the gun tail… (GM: Thiago, do you force it?) Guaxi: Yeah, pull from the tail. Rakin: I’ll force against it. GM: Ok, then roll a test for Strength, you two. Rakin: I didn't have my finger on the trigger, ok, master? Rakin: Making it very clear. (Calango: I rolled a Good, man.) Rakin: Making it
very clear that I didn't have my finger on the trigger. Rakin: Gun safety. Ok, Strength test? GM: Yeah. Rakin: Ok. I got a Regular. GM: He manages to take it off, not take it off, but he pushes your hand out of aim from the Gatekeeper, the Gatekeeper: Gk: Ah! GM: And hides behind Cesar. Gk: Please, I don't want to die! I'm gonna die anyway, but not here. Don't make me die in vain, Gk: don't make all of this be in vain! T: Then listen to what I'm saying! T: When i was inside the spider... (Ce:
Thiago, in any case, we already haven't won.) T: I know. (Ce: Do you not realize that?) T: I'm not gonna let anyone else die, (Ce: It wont be a win) I'm not gonna let anyone else get hurt. T: You weren't even supposed to be here, dude. (J: Calm down)\ J: We don't know that. (T: You weren't supposed to be here.) J: We don't know that. Rakin: I take off my shirt and say: T: Dude, if anyone's gonna draw that symbol, it'll be me. There's no way it can be someone else. When I was inside the
spider, I... I was already somewhere seemingly like the maze, and I'm right here. I'm the only one who's gone through something similar to this, I was already somewhere seemingly like the maze, and I'm right here. I'm the only one who's gone through something similar to this, no one else has gone through that, J: I went through something similar. (Ce: I did) I defeated the parasite in the dream. Ce: Did Joui's scar just show up by itself? (T: Yeah, ok, but have you ever felt what it's like inside the maze?) T: Have you ever been in
the maze in any way? Have you ever felt what it's like to be in the maze? Ever felt like your hand is not your hand? J: We don't know if if you were really inside the maze, we don't know. And we don't know if drawing the symbol will result in someone's death. Maybe we can still find a way of getting the symbol off or doing something, the problem is that we don't have any more time There is no more time. T: Then just draw that in me. It makes no sense for it to be you.
A: For God's sake please! Guaxi: I throw the hammer at the ground with full force, A: Take a look at me! Guaxi: Then I open my arm. A: Let me be useful now! I'm the dumbest one, I can't do anything right, everytime I try, I get hurt. Let me be useful! Draw the goddamn symbol on me, for the love of god! L: No. A: Yes! (T: There's no w-) A: You said it yourself, I shouldn't even be here... Yet here I am. And I already lost everything! I'm not losing you! If I see you dying
I'm gonna die too! I'm gonna kill myself! J: How do you think Ivete would react to that? She only has you now in her life. Only you. Are you gonna leave her alone in this world? After losing everything and everyone as well. A: I can't see anyone else die, i can't, A: I can't. (J: You don't have a choice.) A: Ivete, she knows, I'm a Scoundrel and we die for who we love. T: Guys, no one here is gonna die. This is what I'm talking about, I'm talking about statistics I'm speaking of probability. I've already
been connected to the symbol, and I'm here today, I'm okay. You guys saw that I was inside that spider's cocoon. Gk: Why are you talking about spiders? GK: You were inside a spider? (T: There was a spider who put me…) T: I felt like, when I was inside the cocoon of a spider that had the symbol in it, I felt as if my hand wasn't my hand, as if that maze was all that existed, for a long time. GM: He starts walking towards you. (L: It's was onother Subject) Gk: What are you talking about? GM:
It's stuck. Guaxi: Get out, Liz, bro. Gk: What are you talking about? (Gabi: It's stuck, it's stuck, hold up.) T: I'm saying that I've already felt like I was inside a maze, inside something white with the symbol, like the symbol was it all. I've felt that. It already happened to me, and I'm here, the symbol isn't inside me, the parasite isn't inside me. Gk: You... Gk: Have you ever tried transforming? T: No. Rakin: I try to transform. [Zium] GM: You guys see Thiago's skin turn completely grey. (Rakin: Oh fuck) GM: His hair turns white. Let
me just turn on his lusidius form. Let me put on his art. L: Oh, no... (GM: Here) GM: And you see a cross shape on his face, his eyes become completely black, his beard, white. Gk: You... Gk: You are already connected to the Holy Cradle J: How is that possible? L: No… T: What do you mean? (J: Liz!) Gk: You... J: do the zium. T: What do you mean? (Gk: How?) L: No. Gk: You were already connected… How? Did you touch the crystal? T: I never touched any crystal. The worst thing that happened was a
spider attacking me, a rat attacking me. Gk: You… L: No, no… Gk: You're already a lusidius. J: What do you mean he's already a lusidius? T: What do you mean? I'm no lusidius. Gk: You're already one of us You're just like me. T: No, I'm not like you this has nothing to do with that. Gk: The Holy... Gk: You've described the Holy Cradle! You described the connection to the Holy Cradle. Everyone who connects to it goes through the experience you described. Feeling in the maze, feeling as if you were one with the symbol. J: No,
no no, when we ate the food… (Gk: The connection...) J: It's just... (L: No...) J: It's just because... J: It's just because he entered the Holy Cradle Like we did, like I did. L: Joui… Guaxi: I sit on the floor. J: No. T: Then that's settled, I'm the one who's gonna find the center of the maze, there's no more arguing. T: Just draw this symbol in me. (Gabi: I come and hug Thiago.) J: Sensei, no! Guaxi: I start crying. Gabi: I've hugged Thiago. J: Gatekeeper, what do you mean by "connected"? If we destroy the Holy
Cradle, what's going to happen to him? Gk: The same that's going to happen to everyone connected to it, I don't know. J: No, no, no, no, no... There's got to be another way, please. Luba: Joui gets on his knees in front of the Gatekeeper and says: J: Please. Gk: I don't know how this happened, I have no idea, I don't get it. If he hasn't touch the crystal… T: Hey, guys, it's gonna be alright. This just made it easier for us, relax. t's gonna be alright. (L: No) J: Made it easier to who, sensei? (T:
It's gonna be alright, relax) T: Guys, just... put the symbol on me and I'll find it for us, (L: No...) it's alright, it made this whole discussion a lot easier. Rakin: I take off my shirt. T: You can draw the symbol on me, it's alright. Relax, guys, it's fine. Gk: You Gk: You guys said the symbol had been burned on that other man, didn't you? L: No… Gk: Does anyone have... (J: Sensei, no…) Gk: Does anyone have a red crystal? Ce: I do. J: Cesar, no! Rakin: I turn my back, already shirtless, to the Gatekeeper.
J: Liz... J: Liz, we're going to find a way (L: Thiago!) J: we're going to find a way to get the symbol off of him after this, right? L: Thiago, no! J: Liz! T: Guys, you don't need to be afraid, it's gonna be alright. J: We're going to... (T: Right? I promisse...) J: find a way to get the symbol off of him, right? (L: No...) L: No… Gabi: I walk to the locker. L: No! T: Hey Gatekeeper, draw it already, why are you taking so long? GM: He's waiting, looking at Cesar, who hasn't given him
the crystal yet. Calango: I hand him the bag, with all of my ammunition rocks. J: Liz, if the… L: No, no, no! Luba: Joui holds both her hands. J: Liz... if the Crazy Old Man managed to break through and survive, we can find a way, right? L: You saw how he ended up! L: There's nothing we can do. (J: Just say yes!) J: Just say yes! Please, just say yes. GM: He puts his hand in the bag, gets a red crystal… Calango: I stand next to Thiago before he starts, then: Ce: Hey Big T. I...
I don't have... anyone else besides you guys. You're the closest to a family i have left... and I understand why you want to be the hero. I wish I was selfish enough to do that, I'm not saying you are, I'd do that for you, but it isn't for you that I'd do it. I don't want to deal with the loss, I don't wanna face the feeling of losing someone I love one more time, so try to make it until the end. I believe in you, nothing's gonna happen to you. J: We're not gonna lose him,
(T: it's gonna be alright bro.) J: we're not gonna lose him. We're going to find a way. Guaxi: I lean into the hammer, like this, and say: A: No way in hell T: Guys, it will all be okay. Calango: I do "this" for Thiago to give me a fist bump. Rakin: I fist bump and a single tear falls down. A: Could we have a group hug? J: Yes. Guaxi: Then let's give a group hug. GM: You all hug each other and the Gatekeeper gets a little piece of fabric to hold the crystal that was burning
his hand. GM: He is... (J: Gatekeeper,) GM: He takes a step back, he's crying and waiting. J: Gatekeeper... You can... You can join the hug. I'm sorry for doubting you earlier. Please, it would mean a lot to me. GM: He drops the crystal on the floor. And he just hugs you, crying. Gk: You are the only hope. You are my only hope. Who are you? Do you have any kind of name? L: I'm... Elizabeth Webber, forensic scientist. J: I'm Joui, I'm a gymnast. Ce: Cesar Cohen, programmer. T: Thiago Fritz, journalist. A: Arthur Cervero, Scoundrel Vulture.
L: And... our team doesn't have a name, but we're open to suggestions if you have any, Gatekeeper. Gk: The only thing you are, to me, is hope. L: Then, we are Team H. GM: He picks up the crystal he had dropped. Gk: May I? J: Will it hurt him? Gk: It'll burn. L: Wait, Ce: We've gotten hurt much... (L: Thiago...) more seriously with doors, it's ok, he can handle it. A: If it's like getting tattooed you can hold my hand. T: I'm used to getting burnt, Gatekeeper, it's fine. L: Thiago... if you surrender to the
symbol... if you lose yourself on the way... I swear I'm going to find you and bring you back. J: Me too. (Gabi: I hug him once more.) J: Me too. T: I've knocked on death's door several times, but I always came back, didn't I? Relax, everyone, T: just relax, (L: Thank you) L: Thank you for being my best friend. (T: it's gonna be alright.) everytime I needed it. A: My smoking partner. (Gabi: And I step back.) J: Thank you for saving me once more. GM: He looks at you all... Thiago is already shirtless... he... touches
he touches Thiago’s back with the tip of the crystal and starts burning. He draws a circle perfectly, it burns [Tssss] Thiago’s skin leaving a scar trail behind, really quick. a burned scar. He first draws a perfect circle, then he... [Tssss] starts doing a smaller one and he starts to just [Tssh] [Tssh] [Tssh] draw it, with with expertise, various symbols, many strokes and it forms the spiral, and he starts drawing clockwise, each of the last small symbols he stops he draws 15, leaving only one left. Thiago, you dealt 2 hp burn damage and the armor doesn't
count. He looks at you... Gk: I'm gonna draw the last one. Gabi: I take Thiago's hand, I hold his hand. Luba: I hold on his shoulder. Gk: Okay. He sticks the the red crystal in and starts to slowly draw the last upper symbol, he does it, draws two strokes. You all see the symbol [Shhh] shining red on his entire back. Thiago, you lose... 42 points of sanity. And he collapses. You see Thiago falling on his knees, and your whole mind is boiling and melting. Thiago. I'm gonna take you here... Just a second. You feel as
if everything had stopped making sense, everything around you blacks out. The symbol, just the symbol. The symbol again and again, it's the only thing that's part of you, it's everything that forms you, and you find yourself, once again, here. Small, alone, lost. But suddenly, you feel something on your hand. Your hand is your hand and it's being held. You feel a pain on your shoulder, you look to the side and you see Cesar, smiling. Joui is on the opposite side, also looking at you, and next to him is Arthur. You are not alone. J: Sensei?
L: Thiago, we're here. Gabi: And I tighten my grip on his hand. J: Sensei? (T: I'm here, guys, ) L: Thiago? T: I'm here. What are you doing here? Why are you here with me? You weren't supposed to be here. J: What do you mean, here? T: You don't see this on the floor? Why are you here with me? You weren't supposed to be here. Luba: Do we, master? Gabi: In his point of view. GM: Not from your point of view. J: Sensei, we're... we're... we're in the same place. L: What do you see, Thiago?
T: I'm at that place I went to when I was inside the spider, it's all white, the symbol is literally here. GM: You see, Thiago, looking around, that the walls of the maze form walls of the place you were before. You see some white silhouettes that are nearly impossible to make sense of, that you recognize as the table on the center, the table on the side, the lockers. It's all white, No texture, no smell, there's no color. Just your friends, just your family. T: To me we aren't where we were, I can only see the
symbol, it's literally the only thing there is and you guys. L: You… It's okay, you're still with us and I'm gonna hold your hand. If you can't see where things are, we'll guide you wherever you need. Ce: He... He must be seeing things in a totally different way right now. Do you think he's the one who will guide us through the maze? We have to take him there. L: We'll guide him to the maze and he'll guide us inside. A: To the center. (Luba: Joui looks at the Gatekeeper.) L: It seems so. J: Gatekeeper, what
about now? What do we do? Gk: I don't know… Now, it's my turn. GM: He raises his eyes and looks at you with tears falling down. Guaxi: I walk towards him and give him a hug. GM: You see the Gatekeeper almost as a shadow, Thiago. You can still recognize him, it's a silhouette and you can sort of see his face, but he is almost as a reflection, an echo in your memories. Ce: Gatekeeper… GM: I'll go back to how you see the world now, alright? But Thiago sees things like this. Ce: Gatekeeper, I don't know
if if I can trust you completely yet. When I first trusted you guys from the Holy Cradle, you stabbed me on the back. But if you're not gonna do that, I thank you already, so, thanks. But I still don't trust you, I hope you can understand. Gk: I'm okay with you not trusting me, I understand that and I'd probably do the same in your place, I can only thank you. L: Gatekeeper… A: I thank you too. L: We also thank you for your sacrifice. A: Not just that.… Guaxi: I look at my arm. A: Thank
you. Gk: If… I don't know what's gonna happen to me, but whatever it is… You still have the clothes you were wearing when you got here? The things you brought with you? L: I think... it's at the hotel, but… Yes. Gk: I don't know what's gonna happen, but if your clothes are from here, they'll probably disappear alongside the Holy Cradle. GM: The clothes aren't at the hotel, you brought your backpacks, it's all with you. (J: My backpack's here.) Guaxi: Yes! GM: All of your items are with you. Calango: Okay, I get my backpack, open it,
(A: I think I'll change already!) Calango: and put it on my body. J: Are you sure it's a good idea to do this now? (Ce: I think it's best to do it now.) Gk: We don't have time. A: In any case, Joui, no one's even gonna see us with these clothes, because the Gatekeeper is gonna try to distract them for us, so it won't change much. J: If someone sees it, then his sacrifice will… Gk: They won't see it. If they do, it'll all be lost anyway. (Gk: I'll do...) L: Thank you, Gatekeeper. Gk: ...my
best so that doesn't happen. Ce: Can you stand, Thiago? Are you ok? T: I'm alright, I'm alright, But we need... to end this quickly. Gabi: Hey, Master, (Calango: I come here...) Gabi: i want to pick up... Gabi: i want to pick this sheet up, the one that belonged to the old Blacksmith, GM: Okay. Gabi: which says “to not surrender to the symbol," "not surrender to the Saint”, I fold it and hand it to thiago. L: Big T... If at any moment you need to remember and we aren't next to you to say it, here it
is. GM: Thiago, you lost 1 point of sanity. T: All right (Rakin: I keep it with me.) Calango: Can I, can I change my clothes? Calango: Can I? I'll change my clothes, ay? GM: There's no correlation between your sanity to her giving you the paper, just so you know. Gabi: Ah, okay. Luba: I don't have my Joui. (GK: I'm gonna pull it.) Luba: With the black shirt, Master. Gabi: I'm gonna pull it too, I'm gonna come to the corner over here. T: Guys, (Luba: Joui turns off his lusidius form too.) T: we gotta go soon.
GM: Okay. T: We gotta go soon. Gatekeeper, take us back with you. GM: You feel that it's getting more and more… That 1 point of sanity, in Thiago's view, it's that it's getting harder and harder to discern walls and stuff from the symbol. You can only see them and once that happens it's like, slowly, contrast is fading from the objects around you. I'm gonna pull each of your original forms here. (Calango: Thiago, don't...) Gabi: I already did that. [Laughs] Calango: Thiago is changing too, right? GM: And Arthur… Arthur will have his arm, OK? Guaxi: OK.
GM: But he’s without it. (Gabi: I’m already here.) A: Can anyone help me take it off? It’s hard. J: I’ll help. GM: I’m gonna do the following. I’ll leave Arthur with the current clothing. Or would you rather see the original Arthur without the scar and the arm? Because I forgot to prepare this art. Gabi: Whatever. (Guaxi: Leave it like this.) GM: Like this? OK, better. Guaxi: Yeah, leave it like this. By the time I take my Scoundrel’s shirt, I like... Rakin: Hey, Master, I’ll stay in my lusidius form. GM: OK. Calango: Wow. Rakin: I’ll stay
like this. I’m afraid that if I change forms, I'll lose it. GM: But will you use your original clothing? Rakin: No, no. I’ll continue as lusidius, but I think with the clothing… Uhm, I don’t know if there is then. Gabi: [Laughs] Rakin: With the original clothing, but as lusidius. GM: When you start taking your clothing off, you realize that it won’t matter. GM: The clothing and you are connected anyway. (Rakin: I'm in the...) Rakin: ...regular form then? GM: Yes. GM: Your clothing has armour in it, so it makes more sense you keep it, mechanically. Rakin:
Oh, so I’ll keep the clothing? GM: Yes, exactly. (Gabi: Yes, your lusidius clothing.) Rakin: Oh, so I’m in lusidius form. I just wanted to stay in lusidius form 'cause I'm afraid if I stay in my human form, I'll lose the connection Rakin: and it'll be all in vain, you know? GM: Let 's go. Gabi: No, chill. J: We haven’t seen Thiago-sensei naked in lusidius form yet, so if his clothing disappears, J: it'll be complete. (Ce: True that.) T: I’ll be alright, guys. Just let’s go fast, please. A: Do you think it’s better we stay in
our lusidius form outside or not? It doesn’t matter, right? Ce: I don’t wanna turn into one of them again. GM: I’m gonna put the original Arthur ‘cause I think it’s prettier, symbolically. Gabi: All right. J: Guys, uh… Gatekeeper, what’s your plan exactly? You leave through this entrance and we try to find a path using this hatch? Gk: Did you say the Blacksmith’s house is up here? L: That’s what it seems. Gk: Ohh... I could just say I was hidden inside it. They're going to take me to the Trial Grove, I don't know. The Blacksmith usually
makes his announcements there and the whole town will see. He will for sure make everyone look at me when he kills me. Or whatever he does with me. So... GM: He starts walking towards the ladder. J: Wait. If there is any possibility of you getting out alive, we're gonna try as well, okay? Gk: Thank you. J: And thank you again. GM: He starts walking. He stops in front of the ladder. Gk: I'm still very confused about what's going on. I don't know why the Blacksmith's afraid of you… I don’t know why you're able to do
what you do… But it doesn't matter what happens. I hope you know that you… You are... My heroes. And please, if you have the opportunity, burn Holy Cradle down! GM: He starts climbing the ladder and he, with difficulty, pushes the hatch. Gk: Ugh! GM: He pushes heavily, he can barely open it. Gk: Ah! GM: He opens the hatch and leaves. You hear metal noises. And you hear steps passing above you and screaming, and [THUD] something falls on the ground. [Thump-thump-thump] many steps, many heavy punches. You couldn't hear because it was metal above you, but it's
very loud. It seems there is a fight and screams. J: Guys... (Ce: OK, let's get going, guys.) J: This is our time. (Ce: We can't lose time.) T: Let's go fast, please. J: Who has the Miner’s helmet? L: Do you think we can L: get back through the cave? (GM: Cesar has it.) Ce: I'm with it. Rakin: Do I need the helmet, Master, to move myself? Or I think I can show the way out of the cave without it? GM: Wait, what are you gonna do? Rakin: They talked about the Miner's helmet... GM: You don't
think you can, you can get back through the cave. You don't think you'll find your way in the cave. A: Don't you think it's better we wait a little and just get out through the hatch? L: Yeah, guys... A: And it's much closer to the circle. L: We're using the hatch because... imagine if we find those monsters again. J: Makes sense. (Ce: True.) Calango: I go to the ladder. Gabi: I take Thiago's tiny hand. I take him alongside me, because I don't know if he can move. T: It's OK, don't worry. Calango: I climb to
the top to Calango: listen until it calms down. (GM: Roll a Listen, then.) You see that same room full of tools. Calango: It was Regular. GM: You listen to a fight coming from the other room's area. You hear screams and, suddenly, after some seconds of fighting, you feel like they probably put the Gatekeeper's body on the ground and they're holding him. You hear steps [THUMP THUMP THUMP] bigger than the others. You listen, muffled: Bs: [Inaudible] GM: You can't understand what he's saying. You hear steps getting out of the house. Calango: OK. Ce: Guys, I think
everyone is already out. The Blacksmith got in and now I can't hear anything up there. Calango: I open it slowly and look around trying to find something. GM: The room is completely empty. It's just that room full of boxes. It's kind of tight, there are a lot of things lying on the floor. It was clearly not projected for someone of the Blacksmith’s size, but he sleeps there. Calango: OK, I'm gonna open it then. GM: You open the hatch, with difficulty, but you do it. Calango: OK, I climb up... (Luba: Joui's right behind him.) Calango: I
stay there and reach out my hand to help Joui. Calango: Up there. J: Thank you, Cesar. Ce: No problem. Luba: I stay here to pull Arthur. Gabi: I give him a hand from down here. GM: OK. You guys can see that Thiago has a lot of difficulty finding things. Gabi: I'm with him. GM: As if he’s getting blind. T: Is this the ladder, Liz? L: Yes, right in front of you. I put you here. You can climb up. T: OK, hold on. (L: I'm right behind you.) Rakin: I'm trying to put my foot in the
first step, but I can't. Gabi: I put my hand on his tiny foot and put it on the first step of the ladder. Luba: I stay here to pull him too. T: It's fine, it's fine. Rakin: I climb up slowly. GM: You see him going up. He finally finds a hand. He sees you, around you. He takes your hand and pulls up. Just Liz is down there now. Gabi: I go up last. GM: You go up then. You look behind, a last view of this lab bunker. You see the sludge running and it keeps leaking
out more and more through this crack, and you believe that, eventually, it's going to consume the whole lab. By the amount of sludge and the velocity it keeps leaking, you believe it started to leak recently. Gabi: Uh-huh. Right, I was going to say it before, but OK. I was going to ask about it before. I give it a last check and climb the ladder to find them. GM: OK, you're all in this tight closed room now. I'll pull up the map of the Blacksmith's house. L: Is there a way to close the hatch so that
the Blacksmith is unable to get down there? I don't know if he'd want to, but… A: I don't think he'd find it now. He didn't find it this whole time. GM: The hatch is visible on the ground. L: After a while, this place will be covered in sludge, but... Ce: We can't lock it, it's just from the inside, I guess. Well, it's... Calango: Is this door closed? GM: Yes, it's closed. You're inside the house. I'll put the original you here. Guaxi: Want me to put it? (GM: There is Liz...) Yeah, I think it's better you
always put yourselves, just so it's easier. Hold on… It's there. Calango: I open the door slowly, just to check. GM: Roll Stealth, please. Calango: Oh, I'm terrible at this, dude! Failed. GM: You've failed? Calango: I've failed. Damn, bro... Gabi: Lil' C? Calango: Why did I go first, bro? Rakin: [Laughs] GM: You open the door and it [creack]. You get fucking scared that you open just a little crack and you see next to the door the Guard ending a conversation with someone. He takes his sword and turns around. You close the door fast praying that he
hasn't seen you. You hear his footsteps [Thump thump thump thump]. You hear a metal noise [Clang], as if he's placing something on the counter. [Thump thump thump thump] and you hear his footsteps going away. Rakin: Phew... Calango: Holy crap. GM: He rolled 52 in Finding and he has 50. [Laughs] Calango: Damn, bro. (Gabi: Damn…) Guaxi: Wow, my praying worked, man. Calango: Damn, bro. Ce: OK, guys… Calango: Holy crap! L: Hey, gather here! Help me put this hatch down it's heavy as heck. Let's put it down quietly this time! Ce: [Whispering] This door is so noisy,
it's not my fault! Luba: Joui's gonna help Liz. GM: You manage to lose the hatch, which is very heavy. And you see that on the other side of the door there are many marks of… they look like the ones on the bunker's door that people were punching to try to open it. The Blacksmith did the same up here. Maybe it wasn't only him. Many people punching it trying to get it open somehow, but it's pretty resistant. J: Cesar, is it all clear? (Ce: Did you close it there?) T: Tell us when you’re ready, Lil’ C.
Ce: I think so… There was someone here, but, but it seems they went away. I don’t know, I’m afraid to open it. (J: Do you know who it was?) Ce: No, I heard heavy steps. It probably was, I don’t know, maybe the Blacksmith himself or someone who was, I don’t know. It seemed like heavy steps. I’m gonna open it again… A: [Whispering] Want me to open it? L: Anyone more delicate than Cesar to do it? Ce: [Whispering] The door isn’t delicate! A: [Whispering] I’ll try. T: Is this a door? Ce: [Whispering] The door, Thiago. But
don’t worry, it’s ok. I’ll cover you. (Guaxi: Stealth again?) T: I can’t see it. Ce: I’ll cover you, don’t worry. It won’t be a threat to you. Only over my dead body. [Laughs] Guaxi: Can I open it, GM? GM: You can open it. (Ce: Go on.) Guaxi: But do I have to roll a Stealth or just open it? GM: You can roll a Stealth to try to be sneaky, yes. Guaxi: OK. 16. It was Extreme. GM: Extreme? You open it, it still makes a noise, but you open it [creak creak creak] slowly to not make
any noise. And you get it completely open. Ce: [Whispering] See?! See how noisy it was? It’s not my fault, it’s the door’s! J: I haven’t heard anything. (L: [Whisper] It was almost soundless, Cesar.) T: I haven’t heard it either, Lil' C. Ce: [Whispering] Shit! Are you getting deaf again, Thiago? Oh, c’mon! T: No, I quit being deaf to be blind. [Laughs] Calango: Wow… Luba: Joui laughs but gets serious right after, like... A: Don’t make jokes about it. Ce: C’mon. All clear, Joui? J: Hum... Yes. (T: Just guide me.) J: Let’s go, guys, just be careful.
(Gabi: I’m holding his arm.) Luba: GM, is there a little knife that I can just take? GM: Many! There’re weapons everywhere. (Luba: I wanna take a regular knife.) I just wanna take a regular knife. GM: OK, you can take it. It deals the same damage as Liz’s scythe which is a D4+1. Luba: OK. (A: [Whispering] Joui…) J: [Whispering] Huh? A: I just remembered. Where is my switchblade that I gave you that day? J: Guys, it’s clear. Let’s get going. [Laughs] A: [Whispering] Joui?! Calango: I wanna pass through this counter checking if I find any document,
something that shows that the Blacksmith’s involved. GM: There’s absolutely nothing written in Holy Cradle. Calango: Not even a paper, anything? OK. A: [Whispering] Joui, I was talking to you! J: Guys! Come on, it’s clear! Calango: I’m going to... Oh, I won’t be able to do it here, right? GM: What? (Luba: GM, I wanna roll a Listen/Look here), trying to see if the exit is clear. GM: OK. Calango: Are there any red crystals on the open around here? GM: Yes, there are some red crystals on the open around, yes. Calango: I wanna refill my red crystals,
bro. GM: You can get... (Luba: I failed, GM.) GM: You put them in your bag until you feel it’s enough, it gets very hot. It’s when there are 10 crystals again. You failed? (Calango: OK.) GM: Joui, you look around, you see there are lots of people going in a specific direction. There are a lot of people [People talking] talking to each other, calling other people around them. You see they’re all going towards the Grove, walking around the town. J: The Holy Cradle citizens are probably going towards the Grove as the Gatekeeper said. But I think
we should wait a little longer until the people get out of the streets. Gabi: GM... (Ce: OK,...) ...we’ll wait until there’s no one. A: Will the Blacksmith be mad if I take a tiny knife? Gabi: [Laughs] Gabi: Is there any green crystal in this small counter? Something that the Blacksmith keeps. GM: Roll a Finding. Gabi: It was Good. GM: You find a bottle of green crystals. Gabi: Oh! I put it where my empty one was. I take the other off and… GM: It’s the same bottle as yours, it’s the same. (Gabi: Bottle.) Gabi: Yeah, I
just changed the bottles. GM: OK. Guaxi: GM, do I find a little knife to take? Just to… GM: There are many knives around. How big… There are many different sizes. Guaxi: I just want one like a switchblade. GM: OK. You find a little knife that deals D4+1. (Guaxi: A dagger, it can be it.) Hahaha! Yay. A: Look how beautiful. Ce: OK, so we’re gonna wait, right? We’ll wait for people to not be on the streets. When there’s no one walking to the Grove. T: Guys, what’s going on? L: I’m guiding you, Big T. (T: Are
we already going...) ...to the maze? GM: You see the Blacksmith’s house full of tools and Thiago only sees a white place. It’s like he sees a world that that doesn't load neither the textures nor the lights. It’s just a lot of white stuff everywhere. Luba: Right. J: People are still going towards the Grove. Maybe this is a good time for us to talk about our plans for when we get out. Luba: Damn! Look at the size of this gallon! [Laughs] [Laughs] (Guaxi: He’s drinking the chat’s tears.) [Laughs] Luba: Damn, I got scared. T: Guys, I
think that before we go to the maze… I think we’re really hurt from what happened at the cave. How are things outside? Are there many people on the streets? (GM: People are walking,) talking, worried. Lusidius 1: What’s going on? Oh my God. Lusidius 2: I don’t know... GM: You hear conversations, you hear steps passing in front of the Forge. T: Maybe we'll manage to get some crystals in the Doctor’s house before we go to the maze. I don’t want anyone to risk themselves. (Ce: Maybe?) Ce: The Doctor’s house is on the same path to the
Grove. L: Exactly! It’s by Grove's side. It’s far away. It’s not worth it, Thiago. T: Let’s just go to the maze as fast as possible, please. L: But I got a crystal. And Joui, you’re hurt. J: No, I’m fine. Use it in Thiago-sensei. (L:You’re hurt.) J: Use it in Thiago-sensei or in yourself. I’m fine. T: I don’t need it. (L: Does anyone have any more crystals?) A: I think I have, but… (J: My last ones were on Arthur.) A: I still have it, I just used it a little. I just used it to heal my
hand. GM: What, looking back, didn’t help a lot, right? Guaxi: Yes. GM: [Laughs] (Gabi: I’m thinking, hold on.) GM: [Laughs] (T: I gotta…) Guys, I think we don’t have time to spare. If we just run to the maze, I don’t think anyone will follow us. As they said, no one can get in the center of the maze. If you take me there, I’m sure I can take you to the center. J: Wait, the Blacksmith can. And I think we don’t want to fight him inside there. GM: Thiago, you hear, from far away, a sound like
[Ba-dum] [Ba-dum] [Ba-dum] weakly, as if it was a heart beating very weakly, coming from behind you. GM: No, no. Just Thiago is hearing it. Rakin: I look behind. GM: You don’t see anything. You just see the blank walls, but you hear, you feel like there was a heart beating far away, but, for some reason, you hear it. T: Guys I’m hearing something like a heart. Ce: I’m nervous as well. (J: How cute.) L: But, like, ours? T: No... (L: Yours?) T: I don’t know, I’m just hearing it. I don’t know, I just know that.... Let’s
just go to the maze. (L: Guys, take a look there, Joui.) Ce: Joui, all clear? (J: Oh, ok!) Luba: Should I roll a Finding again? GM: Uh-huh. Luba: And I... failed for 2. GM: OK, and I want you to roll a Stealth. Guaxi: Oh, bro. Calango: Oh, bro… Luba: And I failed for many. It was a 31. GM: You failed? You put your head outside to see what’s going on and you see a Holy Cradle citizen that is passing by. It’s a white woman. It’s a woman with white hair, sorry. Gray skin and she’s in
an apron. She looks: ???: Oh! What’re you doing? J: Oh... We’re meant to go to the Trial Grove, right? The Blacksmith called. (GM: Let me take her here.) This one. ???: Yes, yes! What’re you doing in the Blacksmith’s house? J: Oh, I thought he had called us here, actually. ???: No! What?! No, everyone was looking for the Gatekeeper. We were supposed to come here if we had any information about the Gatekeeper. We should take it to the Guard. J: Oh! Did they find the Gatekeeper?! ???: They found the Gatekeeper in the Grove. They just found
him, we’re going right now, the Blacksmith told everyone to go there. J: Oh, ok. Let’s go then! ???: You came from the cave, where’s the Miner, is he ok? Is he going to the Grove already? J: I think so. He sent us here to talk with the Blacksmith. ???: All right, all right. OK, let’s go then? J: Yes, yes. You can go ahead. ???: What are you doing there? J: Nothing... GM: Roll a Fast Talk. [Laughs] [Laughs] (Calango: Oh, bro!) The guy who doesn’t know how to lie had to lie! Luba: I passed! It was
Good! GM: It was Good?! Luba: It was Good! Rakin: Oh my God... ???: Nothing? (Luba: Look, I got 7!) ???: Well, if you’re not doing anything, then come! T: No, listen... Rakin: Am I hearing or seeing her? GM: No. You’re not seeing her. You’re hearing it kind of muffled, kind of echoed. Rakin: So I say it looking down. (GM: She doesn’t see you.) She just saw Joui who put his head outside. She doesn’t see any of you. (Rakin: Oh, got it.) J: Oh, I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m with my old clothes. The
Blacksmith gave me some new ones and I’m going to change to those. ???: Oh, OK. All right, all right. Well, okay, see you there. Everyone is worried. The Gatekeeper killed the Collector! J: How can it be, right? ???: What is this?! What happened?! He was always a cute little boy, always nice to everyone here. He grew up here. (J: I think we don’t really know people.) Yeah. ???: So worried! Oh, I never thought something like that would happen in Holy Cradle Well, anyway, I’m going. J: I know, right? But thank God it’s over. ???: Bye.
J: See you soon. ???: I’m so worried, I don’t know what will happen. It never happened in Holy Cradle... GM: She leaves talking to herself. ???: But what would be…? GM: And she leaves. J: [heavy sigh] Ce: Damn, man! L: Joui! Ce: Wow, bro... J: What, guys? It worked! Ce: Nothing! You went well, Joui! I’m proud of you. (A: I thought he would do another sleeper hold.) T: Guys, what happened? I don’t understand anything. L: Chill, Big T, we’ll go in a minute. J: I think it’s clear. GM: You see… (T: So let’s get going.)
GM: Yes, while you were talking, you see she had stayed behind. There already was a huge agglomeration in the Grove. There is almost no one on the street. J: Guys, let’s go? (Ce: Can we go?) J: Yes! Ce: Come on, come on. Ce: Arthur? Let me put it here. (Gabi: I’ll go behind pulling Big T.) GM: Holy Cradle, we’re there. You get out... (Luba: I’m gonna pull Joui.) ...of Holy Cradle… Sorry, of the Blacksmith’s house. I’m gonna ask you all to help me put everyone in the Grove, because there’s a lot of people. (Luba: All
right.) Calango: Even the Gatekeeper? Rakin: I gotta save my lusidius form. GM: Even the Gatekeeper. Calango: The Gatekeeper is here by the way, yes. GM: There are a lot of people around. It's because I thought you would leave before everyone. Look at how good the man is, right, man? I had put the young lady passing. Now you took her off, bro. I was going to show my talent. She was here, coming from there.. Thank you. (Rakin: I almost dragged the cows.) Thank you for the attention to the details. Guaxi: I'm gonna leave Jeniffer here. GM:
Did you take Jennifer? Did you see the new Jennifer? Did you see her scar? Where's Jeniffer, bro?! (Gabi: Oh!...) ...You made a scar in Jeniffer? (Guaxi: Oh my God, she has a scar!) GM: Yes, she has a scar now. Calango: Where? Where's Jeniffer? (Rakin: Fucking nice!) Guaxi: Damn, man, she became Cris. (Calango: Oh, how cute!) Rakin: Cool as hell. Calango: Look at Cris! Rakin: It's Cris reincarnated in cow form! [Laughs] Luba: The… [Mutes] Guaxi: Luba muted, man. GM: The Blacksmith's with the Gatekeeper in front of everyone. You can see it from far away. (Luba: I
pressed Alt and muted.) GM: You don't know what's going on, the whole town is there watching it happen. Rakin: I gotta save my lusidius form. GM: You see from far, you only see a big crowd. You recognize the Blacksmith, because he's huge, and you see a smaller silhouette by his side that you presume it's the Gatekeeper, but it's so far you can't see it. Obviously, these miniatures are on a different scale from reality for you to see, ok? People are not house sized. You are where you are on the map. Ce: OK, let's go. The
maze is right here. (A: Let's go!) Gabi: Let me take Big T by his arm. A: I gotta go last. Ce: Yes, behind me, Arthur. GM: Let me just take the right Thiago. (A: Take my hand.) GM: Thiago, you can save it in this form here, see? To take him. (Rakin: I’ll save it.) It’s the right click... (GM: Yes, right click, “save object”.) Rakin: Save Object, there! “Blind big T" Done. [Laughs] GM: You see yourself in front of the maze, this grass maze, like a red maze with these living walls. Inside there's a lot of
mist, but, Thiago, you don't see any mist. You only see the walls, just like when you were inside of the spider. T: Guys, I think I know where we are. We're in the maze, right? L: Yes, we just got here. (Ce: Yes.) T: I can see everything here, there isn’t any mist for me! L: What do you mean? J: No mist? T: There's none, no mist. I see everything. L: Hey! GM: Thiago, you lose one sanity point. Rakin: Right… Ce: They won't see us inside there, let's get in. (L: Give hands, everybody) and be careful
not to get lost. T: Guys, just follow me. Just follow me. J: OK. GM: You start. (Gabi: My hand's in his shoulder.) GM: You get in the maze, then. (J: Get in line.) GM: You go inside following Thiago and, Thiago, in the moment you get inside the maze, you feel something odd. You feel the scar in your back. You feel it pulsing with that heartbeat that you're hearing. [Ba-dum] [Ba-dum] It's coming from inside the maze, from somewhere inside the maze. You feel it pulses in different places in different ways, and when you get in a
bifurcation, you feel one of the sixteen symbols on your back [Ba-dum] pulsing on the right. T: Just follow me, guys. I can see everything here GM: You can see it, but it's still a maze. You feel the symbol pulsing. One of the symbols on the right is pulsing in a path bifurcation. Rakin: I go right. GM: You turn right, the symbol does [Ba-dum] [Ba-dum] [Ba-dum] [Ba-dum] and the top one starts pulsing. You follow it. The symbol is not moving, but you feel as if it was. You continue walking and every time you get in a
bifurcation, it pulses in specific parts, showing exactly where you're supposed to go. T: Guys, just stay close to me. Rakin: I follow the symbols. GM: You can't see each other. You feel each other's hands, but you can't see each other as the mist is getting more dense. The mist is getting… It's absurd. It seems you can only see white. You're only being guided by each other's hands, and Thiago can easily see everything. You go... J: Are we getting somewhere? GM: You keep turning and turning. You keep walking towards the center. You hear, more and more
[Ba-dum] [Ba-dum] getting louder and louder. You see Thiago turning to directions that don't make any sense. He turns right, then right again, and again and it should take you to the same place, but it doesn't, you keep going. He turns right, he turns left, he continues following those pulses in his symbol. L: Big T, is it right? It seems we're going in circles. A: I think I've already seen that plant over there. Rakin: I'm so focused on the symbol's sound that I don't hear anything they're saying, GM. I just keep going. Luba: Joui looks behind.
J: Cesar, is everything OK? Are you cold? Ce: Oh, no. Thank you, Joui. I'm OK. J: OK. Ce: What about you? J: Good, I'm good. Thank you. GM: You continue, you spend a long time walking in the maze. Five minutes goes by, then ten minutes. You feel you should be going through the whole maze. You could've walked it all three times. You keep walking and walking, and Thiago continues to feel new places and continues walking. Everyone rolls Paranormal Exposure, please. Rakin: Me too? GM: Oh, not you. You are sure of what is happening. (Gabi: I've
failed.) Luba: Failed. (Calango: Uh, I got 10, bro.) It was Good, man... Guaxi: Bro, I swear, I have 7 of Paranormal Exposure and I got 006, man. 006, man! (GM: Nice.) Arthur and Cesar, you feel a weird shiver. Calango: Oh no! GM: You feel that you’re walking… Remember those chills that you had in the forest, when you were going towards Holy Cradle? You feel that, but ten times more. You feel as if you all were holding hands and walking towards an abyss, towards the end. Ce: Guys, this is not cool. Remember when I told you
all, before we got in here, that we were headed towards, probably, the end? I think we’ve arrived. (L: It’s not the time for this, Cesar.) A: I feel this too. I am feeling something odd here. Luba: I squeeze Liz’s and Cesar’s hand. J: It’s ok, we're together, and that’s what matters. We’ll protect each other. L: Everything will be just fine. Gabi: I squeeze his hand back. GM: Ok, you keep walking and after ten more minutes… roll a listen check, everyone. Gabi: Oooh! Calango: Yo… Gabi: Ah, I got good. (Calango: Good too, 23.) Rakin: I failed,
with 90 listening points. (Guaxi: Wow.) Luba: I failed. Guaxi: I failed so hard. GM: Everybody failed? Calango: I got good. (Gabi: No, I got good.) GM: Ok. Liz and Cesar, you hear, in the distance, a loud scream and, after that, everybody hears everyone in town yelling and being very loud. People are yelling and speaking loudly. You don’t know what's it, but it’s coming from the woods. And when this happens [tuuum] comes from the labyrinth’s center. It was that same sound from when you murdered that human being, that humanoid in the forest. But this time is
way louder, because you are closer to it. It’s almost deafening. Everyone, roll a Constitution test. It’s very loud. Gabi: This is the dice of truth. Calango: Damn, dude, I got 12. GM: Thiago, you hear it too, you hear it as if it was a voice, screaming. Rakin: Do I hear it? GM: You hear as if it was a voice, they hear something like an alert, a war alert, but you listen to it as if it was a familiar voice. (Rakin: I roll a listening test to distinguish it) or is it constitution anyway? GM: It’s constitution.
No, you don’t roll for constitution, but all the others do. Everyone failed? Gabi: No, no. (Calango: I got extreme.) Guaxi: I did it. Calango: I got extreme. Gabi: I got regular. GM: Who failed? Guaxi: I got regular too. GM: Who failed? Nobody? Guaxi: Nobody. GM: OK, you feel your eardrums vibrating a lot, you feel like they’re going to burst and [Aaah] you come back and the sound stops. It was very, very loud. It was a deafening scream, from something that you’ve never heard before. A: Guys, that was what I heard when you were there. When
I was with Jeniffer. Ce: Yeah, we heard it too. L: Is Holy Cradle screaming due to the death of another wellspring? That must be it. The forest wellspring and the Gatekeeper wellspring. (T: What did you hear?) L: Didn’t you hear it? (T: You guys heard a voice too?) I heard a voice screaming. L: No, it was a loud noise, I don't know. A very loud noise, I don't know if it was a voice. T: We just have to keep going forward, I feel like we’re getting close. Let’s just go, ignore it. Luba: Realizing that it
probably was the Gatekeeper’s death, Joui looks down and prays for him. GM: Ok. Rakin: I keep on walking and I start to go a bit faster. GM: You keep walking for more what seems to be ten, fifteen minutes and, Thiago, the more you walk, the stronger you feel those pulsations, the stronger you hear the heart, this beating heart, until you... Rakin: The faster it gets, the faster I go, ok? GM: It’s not going faster, it’s getting stronger. Rakin: Ok, so the stronger it gets, the quicker I’ll walk. GM: You guide, then, your colleagues, your team,
your friends, through these various curves and loops and diversion of paths and, finally, you see yourself in a long straight line. On its end, what seems to be some type of wind- you feel a wind coming from the end of this corridor, it is blowing on our faces, everyone’s hair is being blown. J: Is everyone ready? (L: It is windy, isn’t it?) L: Hey, do you guys remember that when Ann and Lurdete wrote the diary, when they arrived at the cave’s entrance, the real one, they felt some wind blowing? J: I don’t remember. (L: I
can feel the wind right now.) They said that there was wind blowing inside the cave. J: That’s great. Rakin: I see the cave too, GM? Just curious. GM: You see a huge cave. The others can’t see due to the mist that is being pushed towards them. But you see it, it’s impossible not to. A cave. And unlike everything else, that is white, you see the cave as dark gray and there’s darkness inside it. It is the only thing, apart from your friends, that seem to have some type of color, texture, shadow. It seems to be
the only real thing, other than them. T: This is definitely where everything comes to. L: “Here” where, Thiago? We can’t see anything. T: There’s a cave ahead of us. It’s the Cave. J: Another one? T: This time I think it’s the Cave. I feel it, I am sure that this is where we have to go. GM: Roll a Listen test, everyone. Were you walking? I thought you were close to the corridor. Were you walking while this went on? Ok. When you start approaching it, you start to see the outline of a big cave, way bigger
than that one by the mines. Showing up, it is taller than the maze, technically you should be able to see it from the outside, but you couldn’t. Rakin: It’s Listen? GM: Yeah, listen. No, not you. (Luba: I failed.) Rakin: I got extreme. Calango: I almost got an extreme. GM: Not Thiago. You were hearing it this whole time. Rakin: Ah, alright. (Gabi: I got regular.) Rakin: I wasted an extreme roll. (GM: You guys hear,) echoing from inside the cave, a heartbeat sound. [tu tum] You five look around to yourselves and just see the cave’s entrance, that
is sloped forward, kinda pointy, almost as if it was going to devour you. J: Ah, so this was the heart. L: What if this is the Holy One? GM: You see that the cave’s inner walls are way darker, and you recognize, flowing a bit through the stones, the sludge. Gabi: Does it look like the cave from Ann and Lurdete’s drawing? GM: It is exactly the same. Gabi: That painting. GM: It is very similar, yes. L: I was afraid that I’m right, but the cave from the drawing. It’s the cave that they got in and said
that they saw the future, or whatever they saw in there. I don’t know what is going to happen with us now, I wasn’t expecting us to find a cave. I have no idea what to do. T: From what they said, the center creates stuff around it and according to them, the cave was the center of it all, so I think it’s here. C’mon guys. Seriously, I feel like I don’t have much time. L: Weren’t the wellsprings supposed to be here? T: They must be inside the cave. (A: They’re inside it, yeah.) T: I know they’re
inside the cave. Rakin: Can I feel that they’re in the cave? GM: You don’t feel a connection with them, no. Rakin. Alright. GM: You feel a connection with this sound and this cave. T: This sound that I’m hearing… It is coming from the cave. A: Guys, we already got up to here, dude. T: There’s no turning back now. L: Alright. T: The only way we can go is forward. A: We might still be able to go back and save the Gatekeeper. L: I don’t think so, Arthur. (T: No.) L: That sound was the same one
that we heard when we killed that creature. Right as we killed it, the Holy Cradle reacted. And if the Holy Cradle reacted again, that means that another wellspring was killed. Guaxi: I put my head down and start to cry. Ce: Let’s keep going, guys. Gabi: I’m a bit paralyzed, I’m not walking, I’m… GM: You all feel something terrible coming from within. You all feel that you are looking into the abyss. You are looking at the darkness. L: I… I have nothing left to say, I think the time has come. A: Can you see clearly, Thiago?
T: Yes. A: So let’s go. T: Everything will be alright guys. (GM: You go in,) you start to walk. You prepare yourselves, do you guys grab your guns? Rakin: Yes. (Guaxi: Of course.) GM: You all go in with your firearm. And here is where we’re going to stop today’s session. Gabi: Ah, no! (Guaxi: Ah, dude! Knew it!) GM: And we’ll resume in the next session, on the 18th at 6pm, I accidentally got it right. So, next Saturday, at 6pm, we’ll resume The Secret in the Forest. Thank you so much for another insane session. You are
incredible. I take a lot of pride in playing this with you guys. You create some scenes that leave me in awe, thank you so much. And thank you to everyone that’s watching. It’s insane. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, this project is amazing. See you guys next week. (Calango: You're going to cry, right GM?) [Laughing] GM: Almost, almost. Luba: Do you guys know the meme that is Obama giving himself a medal? That’s Cellbit right now. “This project is amazing.” [Laughing] GM: It is even more incredible because of you guys and the team,
not because of me. Luba: True. (Guaxi: And the beautiful shirts.) GM: Exactly. Thank you and until next week, at 6pm. [Outro TSIF] Translated, Transcribed and Subtitled by Equipe T (@Equipe__T on twitter)
