10 Flat Shoes Elegant Ladies NEVER Wear

Have you ever struggled to find nice looking  flat shoes? I feel like every time I go shopping, all I see in the stores are shoes that look  like this. In today's video I'm gonna go through those 10 flat shoes that elegant  ladies never wear and I'm actually gonna demonstrate and give you suggestions of what  kind of shoes you should be wearing instead/ I'm looking down at my feet and I feel like I'm  looking at a man's feet.

This shoe is called the Dad sandal and it has been popular for quite  a few years now. I know Chanel had their dad sandal that was doing really really well and all  the fashionistas was wearing it, but I must tell you that I don't understand the shoe trend.  Surely this is a very comfortable shoe, let's not lie about that, you could definitely walk in a  shoe like this all day long but is it attractive?

I don't think so. I wonder how many men would  actually find this shoe attractive? If we would go out now and do a survey, I promise you ladies  the majority would say no way!

I would never want my girlfriend or wife to wear shoes like this.  So here we have the cousin to the dad sandal. Let's call it more the kind of intellectual,  cultural, boho sandal, who I know would love wearing this kind of sandal, hi Teddy!

Do you want  to wear the sandal? yeah? So what to wear instead?

I would go for something like this. I know this  might not be everyone's cup of tea but ladies for me this is more feminine, this is more classic and  elegant. By the way I must tell you because these shoes look completely different when I bought them  the other day at Zara.

So what I did was that I cut off some of those straps because frankly with  the straps I don't think the shoes looked as good, but cutting them off just opens up the whole foot  and makes it look more minimalistic and elegant. It's not the fact that these loafers are  not elegant or bad in some way or another, but it is what's on the loafer. If you look a  little bit closer there is a little chain detail and I have spoken on this channel previously about  how I really want you to be careful with any form of chain accessories on well footwear, but also  on clothing because oftentimes it does cheapen the appearance and it doesn't look very expensive. 

I bet you that if we would remove this chain, this kind of loafer would already look so  much more expensive than when it's like this. So what you should be wearing instead  is something that some might disagree with. I am team ballet flat!

I know that not everybody  like ballerina shoes but I personally do and I think that if you have them in a nice color,  especially if you have in a neutral color, that goes really well with your skin tone,  so that it elongates the leg then they can look quite nice. I believe in less is more.  If the accessory doesn't look expensive then go for something with less accessories,  like just a plain simple ballet flat.

As we're talking chains, we have to talk about  a big chunky chain too because that one I see everywhere. So here we have a two in one ugly  combo. I think what bothers me the most with this shoe is the yucky fake gold plasticky thing that's  on top and that's why I really wanted to bring it on today because really ladies stay away from  plastic fake gold that looks like this.

Yeah it just looks awful. A variation to the horrible shoe  that we just saw is another mule, and I think you have seen this kind of mule all over social media.  Like what is this?

I don't understand. My problem with this kind of shoe is more the fact that  people wear it with socks or they wear it as like a regular shoe to walk around with or go to nice  restaurants with. For me this is a cleaning shoe.

I would only wear this at home whenever I know I'm  gonna be maybe wet, I'm gonna be cleaning I think my floors maybe, so I want to have something that  I can wear. Here I have a different pair and I think the pair I'm wearing right now is probably  the most common that you see, so many women but also men wear. Actually I probably hate it even  more when men wear this kind of shoe, especially with socks on.

So what to wear instead? I found  this gorgeous Aquazura flat the other day and I was so happy because I love a little bit of silver  shoe going on with a little bit of detailing, and you can see these shoes they do sparkle but I do  find it quite nice if it's done in a delicate way. So yeah,I'm not sure what's going on here.

Is  this a shoe for bondage? Or something else? That I'm not getting here, I don't know.

. . I think  actually it's kind of a gladiator sandal but yeah there's a lot of straps and things going  on, making this shoe not suitable for my kind of foot.

So I have a flat foot and anyone who also  has a flat foot need to really pay attention what kind of shoes you wear. Certain sandals I have  to be very careful because as you can see here, all these straps just widens the foot and I get  like a pancake foot effect in this kind of shoe, so you need to really be cautious. Of course if  you're someone with a beautiful delicate foot with a beautiful foot arch then perhaps  you could pull something like this off, but generally speaking I also don't recommend  to have too many straps in contrasting color going on, because it does cut off your  leg and you actually look a bit shorter, let's say if you would like to wear these these  shoes with like a dress or something like that.

Well I went to Zara and I picked up something simple for you to showcase you  that actually you can dress well at any budget. You don't have to spend a lot of money. Yes I  personally prefer wearing my Hermes Oran sandals, but you can see here I actually picked up a really  nice variation in Zara.

And you might be wondering well why are you recommending these shoes who are  completely different to the previous ones? Well that's because I just want to push in a direction  where you just go away from all the straps, and everything that widens you and just choose  something a little bit more simple. It doesn't have to be fancy complicated with all these  detailing.

Even a simple sandal like this actually can look more elevated than, than  that awful shoe that we just saw a second ago. Are you team animal print or are you team anti  animal print? Let me know in the comments below, because I know some of you love animal  print and some hate it and I can tell you one thing that I'm actually team animal  print because I like animal print if it's done well I don't think it's necessarily a bad  print and it can certainly be elegant too, depending on how you style it.

Now here  I'm actually wearing well, a bad version of animal print and I cannot tell  you exactly why they don't work, I mean okay the ones that I'm wearing on my feet.  Wow, is this washed out leopard print or what? These are a little bit better but I still don't  think.

. . You know what the problem is?

The problem is that the animal print looks too artificial,  and that is why they just simply don't work. So what we have here instead is actually a pair of  simple loafers. I just wanted to demonstrate for you that you don't have to necessarily choose  something with print.

Here we have some other shoes that are discreet to wear that you can just  skip the print if the print is not serving you. As I was shopping for today's video, I must tell  you it wasn't very difficult to find all this horror that I'm showing you today and look what  I'm wearing now. As I was browsing the internet, for me these are typical mound repeller shoes  shoes that we wear when we want to repel men not when we want to attract men, and I cannot see many  single ladies who would have success with a pair of shoes like this if you go on a first date.

Now  I know life is not just about attracting a man, however I do think it's important that whoever is  your partner or if you want to attract a partner, that we do pay attention to certain details.  There is such a wide array of items on the market everything, has been invented by now,  you're actually able to find comfortable shoes that are still aesthetically pleasing, which  is why I don't understand why we have to even look at something like this in 2023. Now  what to wear instead?

Well here I have a pair of ankle strapped sandals, so I understand  sometimes you have to kind of strap yourself in because you might have to if you want to walk  a lot in order to hold the shoes together. Typically I tend to stay away from ankle  straps as much as possible, although I must admit it's actually quite hard because  most shoes do have some form of ankle straps. Let me present a pair of quite ugly running  shoes, well for me these running shoes are really suitable to go and have a workout  in.

I personally do not think that these shoes would look good with a nice dress, with a  nice skirt or with a nice pair of trousers. No, the only place these would look good is  when you go to the gym, go for a power walk, have a workout. So please ladies separate  sneakers with running shoes two completely different ball games.

And if you are  a loyal follower of mine you know my favorite sneaker. Well the Louis Vuitton sneaker  that I've been wearing for so many years now, I'm actually I think on my seventh pair. However  they are quite pricey ladies, so today I actually wanted to show you a more affordable one.

So these  shoes are actually not very expensive and that's why I wanted to include them so that you have  some other options not just the designer brands that I that I like to wear sometimes. But these  ones are actually quite of a classic brand. You will be some preppy people like to wear this  brand.

Another reason to I also like these shoes is because they have a bit of a platform  and I am not against platforms at all on shoes in fact I think everybody should have at least  I don't know one pair of shoes with a bit of platform because this way you can wear longer  trousers and get a bit of elevation going on. And it's also quite nice when you have a bit of  platform if you wear them together with dresses and skirts and yes I do approve wearing  sneakers with dresses and skirts. I know this is not for everyone but I do believe that  there is a way how you can make it look elegant.

I know. Is this even for real?  Because when I saw this on the website I thought it was a practical  joke to be honest.

I don't understand who would wear this and why. Okay I get it it's  probably some form of dupe version of Yeezys, jeezys, what do you call it? Jesus?

I just, I  don't know for me this feels like a shoe that you would wear if you were an alien. You don't  belong to planet Earth and therefore you wear something weird like this. Not because this is  actually nice.

Now this is my version of Yeezy, this is what I would wear instead of that really  weird alien shoe. Again this might not be a shoe everybody would wear because I understand if  you stylish wrong you can definitely look a little bit like a grandma, but if you style it  right I must tell you that it's actually quite a nice shoe for spring summer. I wore it loads last  year and it's really nice to wear with dresses.

We have yet another type of shoe that seems to be  so popular to wear outdoors although technically wasn't it an indoor shoe? Talking about the  Birkenstock. But you know I hate that shoe so much but today we actually have its sister ,we  have the Birkenstock clog type of shoe.

I totally get it if ladies or gentlemen wear it indoors, you  know around the house, around the property but to wear it outside as your everyday type of shoe  ,as a shoe when you want to look good or feel good about yourself, I'm not sure this show will  do the job to be honest. So what to wear instead of those horrible Birkenstock clog mules? Well I  love my Gucci mules.

In fact these ones are brand spanking new ones this is actually my second pair  because the first ones I use them so much they now look quite worn out, so I have just levelled up  to get a second pair. Now I must tell you this is one of my most worn spring and summer shoes. This is like a typical pair of Michael Jackson  shoes that he would be wearing in like the 80s or something, but I know these have made  a comeback and another question mark is why? Back to basics ladies. Why not just  stick to what works?

This is why I love classic fashion and here we have a pair  of ballet flats but in black, which is something I would rather wear instead of those  Michael Jackson shoes.
