I've helped thousands of creators build content strategies that get them from zero to hundreds of thousands of followers, millions of views, actually billions of views, and the number one most important step everybody always talks about is post great content consistently. How do you actually do that? What is great content?
Let me actually show you a foolproof system that we use in our programs that we use with our clients to generate literally unlimited content ideas in a way that makes it really easy for you to post breakout content consistently. And this whole framework will actually show you how to create content that feels fresh, unique, and that actually makes you stand out as opposed to just one of the other copycat creators that all look and feel the same and where you don't even remember their name because you swipe through and it's like, ah, just another tit bit. Plus, and that's another awesome thing about this, and you'll probably see that it will most likely take you less time after implementing this framework for figuring out 30 videos or content pieces than it took you before for five.
Let's get into this whole thing. All right. So essentially what we're going to do is we're going to use two frameworks more or less that we use among our clients.
One of them I call the on off framework and the other one actually being called a scamper, the scamper method. It's basically a way, well, step-by-step. Okay.
So the on off framework will actually, will give us a way to come up with really unique content ideas that are tried and tested within the algorithm that feel fresh still. And that are not, like I said, the same copycat old stuff. And then we're going to use these ideas, these different ideas that we get and generate using the scamper method, multiple concrete video and post ideas from one general idea.
Okay. So maximizing the output, maximizing everything, which is amazing. And this whole thing starts with actually, you know, usually people come ahead, they know, okay, I need to create content pillars.
Okay. This is what people usually say. We're not going to talk about content pillars.
I just recently had a video where we talked a little more about that, but people usually are aware of this by now. And they're like, okay, I need to find some content pillars. I need to do some research within our niche.
And what they do is they just, let's say they're a fitness creator. So what did they do? They go and take a look at all the other fitness creators out there.
And then they're like, okay, this works. This works. This doesn't work.
This works. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But the main problem, I don't think anybody's ever talked about this.
At least I haven't seen this out there anywhere is if you just use that approach and just take a look at your own niche industry, it's just bound to be some boring echo chamber in a way, because you're just going to start replicating each other. You know, this is going to happen anyway. And this is a natural part of the content.
It's not going to make you the number one creator in your industry, which is actually what we're aiming for. Hopefully what you were aiming for as well. Number one, content creators, the ones that everybody starts to follow and copy are the ones that have some uniqueness, freshness factor to it.
Could give you a million examples. Just think about the big ones. Casey Neistat, when he started out years ago, he started daily vlogging.
He was like actually the first one to incorporate this whole storytelling, daily vlogging thing. And then suddenly he was the one everybody started to copy and stuff like this. The most powerful hack you want to do is instead of looking just vertically down there, you actually want to take a look at this whole thing sideways.
There you go. So not just in your industry, but somewhere totally outside your industry. And if it's the further, the better actually thinking about this.
So for example, like I said, you're a fitness creator. Take a look at DIY content, for example, or travel, travel content that's right now working, or even something totally unrelated. I mean, DIY content is unrelated or tech, right?
Something that's just pretty, somewhere totally different. And then you'll find some elements from these things and wrap them around your own niche, your own content. I'll show you in a second how to actually go about that using all these things, but that's the gist of it.
I'll give you an example from one of my clients recently. She's a finance. She's in the financial space, teaching people or talking about personal finance, stuff like this.
And these topics usually are very heavy. And if you see one of the finance videos of finance content, you can recognize it. They're pretty similar to each other.
What she did was though, she went ahead and took a look at cooking channels, used some elements and wrapped them around the whole finance stuff. She saw, for example, the recipe style videos that have like a step-by-step approach in there and making sort of intimidating topics, pretty easy and simple to understand. Cause for me, cooking, very intimidating, you know, mixing stuff together.
Same thing she did in a similar manner with her budgeting and investing. And suddenly guess what happened? Well, here's actually what happened.
Let me show you some of the stats. So pretty cool, way more views, way more shares. And suddenly people started commenting more and say, wow, you're just something new.
You're something I was searching for all the time. You're different than the others, even though she's still talking about the exact same topics. That's why I want you to understand.
Let me show you how to actually do that using what I call the on and off framework. Okay. There's lots of ons and lots of offs.
So essentially what's going on. The first step we're going to do is we're going to start to do research by the way, this is content market research. We're going to start to do it on platform.
This is what people usually do. And only this, this is why it's kind of more. So actually let me just take my phone, go ahead and I'll show you what to do.
Okay. So for example, the first thing that you want to do is go ahead, type in whatever broad topic you have from your niche self-development, for example, and just take a look at what's happening, what's happening on Instagram. If that is your main platform, you know, pictures, one pattern that I see by the way, just looking at this and knowing it, I'm from working with some people in the self-development sphere, see what's going on content.
That's not video content. First actually gets recommended a lot, which is good. Generally speaking, as you can see against simple, nice visuals.
But yeah, so that's the first thing you want to do understanding your niche and your industry on platform, who are the big creators? What are the emerging careers? What type of content do they do and what are their pillars, right?
And what are their elements and even styles, structures they use for videos? Do they use shorter videos? Do they use longer videos?
What's going on? So the first important thing is becoming sort of a master of knowing what's happening in your industry. Cause if you don't know that, obviously it's not going to be possible for you to become the number one household name in there.
So that's the first thing I want you to The second thing is actually hidden in some of the accounts. Some Instagram accounts have it, some don't because Instagram is weird. We know that, but you want to go into your professional dashboard and then you'll see something called inspiration down here.
So if you click to the inspiration, there's also multiple ways to kind of help you out. First of all, you're going to see similar content to your own content that Instagram shows you. It's essentially an infinite scroll.
So just going through that, it'll help you come up with content ideas, how to film your videos as an artist. Cool. Uh, best business.
You can start with no money at age, blah, blah, blah. Okay. So don't post yours.
There you go. Pretty cool. Then there's another thing that's really, really important that kind of goes to the next step that we're about to talk about other content that's popular with your followers.
We're not going to talk about that yet. Um, but just remember that. And then there's some suggested content.
Then there's also accounts that Instagram things are similar to you or suggested for you to, um, you know, create similar content. So that's the one thing, like I said, we start with inspiration, tap inspiration, tap then similar accounts, similar accounts. You could start a whole fresh research account is what we have our clients do.
Actually, if, you know, to kind of reverse engineer the algorithm or another thing that actually works really well is, uh, one of my things that we use internally for, uh, you know, our clients, the viral hooks database, which basically shows you outlier videos, generally speaking, uh, on, um, you know, Instagram, that's just the first part of this whole thing, because the next part is actually the off the first off, which is in this case, guess what off platform. Okay. So essentially want to do the same thing that you did right here, just on a different platform and ideally on multiple different platforms and multiple different mediums in a way.
So if Instagram is your main platform, you go to take a look at YouTube shorts or YouTube long for me even, or take talk, you know, so that's the first thing that kind of goes sideways again. Uh, but then it's even better to even go deeper. For example, you go to Reddit, a lot of people, there's a lot of subreddits for certain things.
A lot of people give good advice. A lot of people give very bad advice in there as well, but you'll get a million of ideas and you'll start to understand your target audience a lot more. Same thing with other types of forums.
And here's where it actually gets really interesting for a lot of you, probably magazines articles, right? I've done some videos here on this channel that basically just took what a magazine article talked about, and I created it for myself or even books. Another thing I do here a lot, read books and tell you about some of the principles, mix them with my own experience, with my own content.
Okay. So off platform, that's the other thing. Next thing actually being on niche, do research on niche.
So inside your niche and what you want to take a look out for is first of all, like I just said, doing that, take a look for out for general topics that you find, take a look out for what types of hooks people create and just generally what are the elements, what are some trends within your niche? And again, this is usually what people do, only a small part of it, certain elements of content, you know, elements being, for example, how long is the content? How is the framing of the video and stuff like this, but that's not all because we have still another off, off here missing, which is basically what, guess what, off niche.
Okay. So, and this is where the most powerful stuff comes into play. For example, if you go to similar or content that's, that your followers also like or something like that in the inspiration tab on Instagram, this is where the real magic happens.
This is where you want to mix and match certain concepts and elements with your own content. Okay. We're talking about trends as well, trends, hooks, you know, obviously, but more so, and that's where it gets more advanced, the whole structure of videos, structure of content, the angle of the content, the format of the content.
We'll talk about this in a second, how to actually do that, but essentially the whole packaging, packaging, that means packaging. And suddenly you have a very big understanding, not just what happens in your niche and what type of content works in your niche, but you have an understanding of what's going on outside your niche and combining this will make you fresh, will make you the person that they were always looking for. Now, ideally, I would recommend you to write all these ideas and topic ideas down somewhere in a matrix, in a, you know, table or something like this, in a spreadsheet, notion, database, whatever, because you'll see, it'll be pretty fast for you to have suddenly a billion topic ideas, just general rough topic ideas.
And that's all you need at this stage. If you're constantly trying to generate brand new ideas, what lots of people do, you're still setting yourself up for greater burnout. Believe me, I've been there many times still.
Sometimes I've been there. It's not sustainable. Plus you'll burn yourself out, not just by the time factor and just by overworking yourself, but also with ideas.
Cause at some point you're going to be like, I've said everything, I've done everything that's supposed to be done. And what you want to do is actually try to find out different angles, essentially repurpose one idea to become 10, at least 10 different content ideas. Let me show you how to actually do that.
This is where the whole scamper method comes into play. I didn't name it. It's a weird name.
So essentially with this one, there's different ways to repurpose one idea to create multiple videos. And then we can still repurpose them again. And scamper basically means you want to substitute.
I need to read this off because I don't know myself, combine, adapt, modify, put to another use, eliminate and reverse. Okay. So let me just give you a quick overview of what to do with an example.
Let's say three tips for improving your morning routine. Okay. So that's like the idea, morning routine.
First thing is substitute, for example, change the setting or the format of this whole thing. Just that alone will give you three, four or five different ideas. So instead of just sitting down and talking about this, like so many people do about the morning routine, for example, you can show your morning routine while you have a voiceover.
Okay. So totally two different types of content, even though it's the same topic, even though it's the same idea, and you can post both of them. That's the thing.
You can always post multiple, all of these things. Second one is combine. So merge your idea with a different style.
So for example, pair your morning routine tips with another popular theme that you figured out by doing the research, either on or off platform, on niche or off niche, like for example, productivity. Okay. So suddenly you have like, here's my morning routine to boost my productivity.
So just, again, opening a whole can of worms here. Next thing being adapt. So you adapt the idea of basically, like we just said, take a look at other niches, other industries, and look what's happening.
So for example, use the whole get ready with me style. That's usually in the beauty industry and wrap it around your morning routine. For example, I'm just making stuff up right now, but basically just use another different format from a different industry.
Combine this with your own. We'll add some familiarity between viewers, even though they feel like it's new. The actual growth hack.
The M, the next one will be the modify, which is just modify your existing idea, your content idea. For example, that's one thing I would recommend to do first with all piece of content, create different versions with different lengths. So for example, you could have a five, six, seven second clip, just with a short hook, with a snappy hook and with some read more caption.
Then the same idea could become like a medium length clip, 30 seconds, 45 second reel with voiceover, for example, where you just briefly explain things, stuff like this. And then you can also do a longer breakdown, like a full 60 minute video where you go a little deeper and where you play a little bit around with retention techniques and stuff like this. Another thing is you could just go ahead and create different hooks.
So the M is actually, in my opinion, the most powerful one. I'm just to modify one thing. You have this idea about the morning routine.
You try to give the hooks different angles. So for example, you could include a curiosity hook where you say, well, three surprising changes that transformed my mornings. Then you can say, well, these things helped me back in my morning routine.
So negative, got a hook. Next one, P, put to another use. So essentially repurpose this for either another platform.
Yes, also a good idea to create content for multiple platforms or audience segments. So for example, you could, instead of a reel, the same thing, just take the same thing and create a carousel with it. And fun fact, you can create multiple carousels again with the M, go back to M and modify this initial carousel or create a story, an Instagram story, Q&A part where you interact with your audience or use this whole thing to create a newsletter.
For example, newsletter, long-form newsletter. By the way, if you want to monetize your audience, pretty, pretty powerful tool, creating some sort of email list with a newsletter. Use this concept, create another piece of content in the stories and then put on ManyChat and have people join your newsletter.
The next one being eliminate, which means sometimes it's just better to remove certain things. Basically, like I said at the beginning, the financial creator who had some very complex topics, she eliminated a bunch of stuff, just showed the core things from her existing content, combined it with cooking stuff and suddenly, wow, it's something new, it's something fresh. Or let's say you have a video where you say, the five morning routine habits that boosted my productivity.
Just create another video and just make the only routine that you need to boost your productivity. And then you can create different angles again, one video per of five points and stuff like this. The last one actually being reverse.
And this is kind of a funny one because something that really helps a lot to getting comments and shares is this whole reverse thing to add some sort of twist to it. Some angle or different structure. So for example, I work to create a piece of content saying, well, there's how to grow your following, how to grow your Instagram followers.
I will create something, three ways to lose Instagram followers fast, which is probably something I should do. Why? Because it creates curiosity because it flips the script in a way.
So think about incorporating elements with a surprise factor, if you will. Right. So at this point, you should be in with one of the most powerful frameworks.
And if you follow through with this, you'll never, ever run out of content ideas again. Actually, you'll have way too many content ideas to finish your life with, basically. And if you follow these, there's no way that you're not going to increase your views, your reach.
However, and I wish I didn't have to say this, but the Instagram algorithm especially is still sometimes really weird, you know, and even if you follow all these steps and have this awesome, suddenly start creating this awesome content, you still could end up getting nowhere because the algorithm just suppresses your reach. So to make sure this doesn't actually happen, watch this video next and get your content game really to the next level.
