[Music] t [Music] hey there friends I'm heidy with Heavenly minded home and today I want to share with you the top five potentially controversial but Christian culture things that I no longer do hey there friends I pray you all are doing well and having a wonderful week now you know that here we love sharing all the different things as it is truly our heart's desire to encourage and equip Christian women to invest in eternity and today I thought we would start the week off with talking about five of the super normal christiany cultur type things that I know as I started to grow my bibl maturity I take no part in and I grew up in the church Christian Home Christian schooling all of the youth groups all of the things and I shared a video shared a few videos here recently about just The Plea to the modern church and all of the ways that it is just so not biblical anymore and then I think that kind of leads into this discussion or one of these things that are super normal they're super Christian cultur type things but I think as we really start digging into scripture and growing in that biblical maturity you go what is that why are we doing that that is so so cheap or so watered down or just has no place in the life of a true biblically sound Christian and so these are the ones that stand out for me I think especially the last one is the one the most like are you serious so I don't know you guys tell me what you think and of course leave me your comments down below are any of these ones that you have found as well that you no longer partake in or what are the ones that you would add to the list that maybe I don't so I've got a hot cup of tea here let's dive into number one so the first one here that I'm going to bring up is one that I don't know I think this one's really important because I know I've personally heard from so many of you that you go I really struggle with this and it it almost makes you feel like you are less than as a Christian woman and that would be 5:00 a. m. Bible time I know I could search this on YouTube right now now and find a dozen videos about how amazing it is to start waking up at 5:00 a.
m. and having this amazing like Bible reading routine and study with 800 different highlighters and all of that stuff and if that works for you then I'll power it to you that's fantastic go for it do what works for you but just because that's kind of this image that's presented in so many ways doesn't mean that's what works for everyone and does it mean that you are somehow a second class Christian because you you don't wake up at 5:00 a. m.
pull out 700 highlighters and doodle all over your Bible again if that works for you fantastic praise God but if it doesn't that's okay and we've been thinking about really doing a series here talking about you know a realistic approach to digging in and truly studying scripture and if that's something that would be of interest to you leave me a comment down below let me know and we'll be happy to do that I know quite a few of you last week said that that was something you're interested in but I don't wake up super early and do Bible time honestly most of my Bible time happens in the evening not in the morning now that could be just this season and the past many seasons of life for me it doesn't mean it'll be that way always but we're busy we've got little ones we've got farm animals we've got all of these different things and it doesn't mean that they take priority over scripture of course but it means that the way that my time is allocated just works that way and just because I'm not going to scripture first thing in the morning doesn't mean that I'm not still filled with the spirit trusting in the Lord living out my calling or doing anything of the like for me if I were trying to wake up at 5:00 a. m.
