today I'm going to build a fast easy privacy fence that'll last practically [Music] forever 15% chance of rain that's what the weather man said it's m thousand luckily the rain did let up because I just drove two hours to my sister's house where two months ago I built them a brand new floating deck but they've got a big problem lookie lose [Music] every time they come out here they feel like they're on display so they need some immediate privacy now my sister picked up you know just a few pallets so she could build a pallet
fence but I'm not confident in the durability of these and I can see right through them so I think it's best if she just turns these into some wall art or pallet furniture or whatever it is people do with old pallets anything but a fence you know can't see through is metal so that's what we're going to be using to build this fence today and I'm not going to need this shovel because I'm not going to dig one single hole to build this fence welcome to haxman [Music] y'all right [Music] here yeah it's pretty much
lining up that's crazy how that works everybody every time I do this people are like that's fooy but it works okay right here another flag really is just kind of lining up all the flags that's crazy that's not fooy now I'm not a professional fence installer but I do have a friend who is Mark Olsen from swi fence and 3 years ago he came to my house and we installed a no dig privacy fence and he taught me everything he knows literally everything no I'm just trying to figure out which structure I should pull square
off of the barn the house the deck everything's everything's kind of wh out here so I'm was going to go off of the house honestly the easiest way for me to pull square off of the house was I just taped the string to the front of the house down there then I pulled it all the way down there and I slowly pulled the string until it barely touched the front of the house on this corner then I hammered the steak in on that end then it came back and put this one in the middle and
made sure everything was tight now I can measure off of that one to Mark out where I want the fence this may not be the way a professional fencer does it but it's the way a professional YouTuber does it 102 okay come on down here hold that on there for me oh good lord I'm at 157 I think I was a little bit off that looks pretty close let's check that 102 all right we're square with the house the first thing Mark taught me was that wood fence posts are terrible okay they 100% are going
to rot and if you put concrete around them to make them even stronger they'll probably rot faster Proby did I say Proby I have no idea that's why we're using these galvanized steel fence posts you got to be careful with these though always wear gloves because much like that strange fellow following you in the back alley these will cut you it will [Music] [Applause] [Music] cut these posts are 9 ft long and I want to set them in the ground 3T so I'm just going to go ahead and Mark out 36 in now this will
be for the first two and then I'll show you what I'll do for the ones in between what you got there boy this is a rhino post pounder and this is what we're going to be driving these fence posts in with now let me just go ahead and say here real quick you could if you wanted to dig holes and put these posts in the ground if you don't want to use a post pounder I'm like lazy so I'm going to use the post pounder that's another thing Mark taught me how to work lazily come
on sweetie don't make me look bad daddy just drove 2 hours let's not do this okay [Applause] [Applause] that was different we had some progress come on he you're scaring me like seriously some longer handles would be good so to make sure that this stays Plum I'm just going to use my level and check it as it goes down right there and right here see that all right and I want to make sure I stop 3 ft in the ground press button yeah go ahead come on this thing yeah squeeze squeeze that and then hit
there okay good you're good you're good just one more one see how far that line is from the post there see that Gap y okay as I line the rest of these posts up down this entire line I don't want these posts to touch that line because as it goes further it could start boom boom boom boom I could start just barely touching it and the next one barely touches it and the next one barely touches it and I could get this whole line out of whack cuz if you'll come down here to the other
end real quick come on Kim come on run like you idiot so you can see I got that same gap down here okay now actually the way that Mark taught me how to do this was he wraps a piece of cardboard around this and then wraps the line around the cardboard but it's going to give me the same effect and it leaves you that small Gap so I'm just going to leave it how I have it here so Mark right in that Center for me okay right in the center of that pole I'm going to
come down here and we're going to measure out exactly the length of this okay I'm at 70 ft 11 in Center to Center let's figure out where to put the rest of our posts 70 ft 11 in divided by we're going to have 10 spaces I have nine posts left we're going to have 10 spaces that divided by 10 is equal to 7 FT 1 and8 in Center to Center so now I've got to measure that out Kim if you let me forget it it's your fall we just do 7 ft no you goof fall
because then you lose that one and E inch off what's wrong with that that's why you're not in charge of doing this I know actually you know what I've had an epiphany so originally we were going to make this 78 ft long but I'm not 78 ft long I'm 70t 11 in so I don't have to do 10 spaces I can just do nine spaces which will bring me to 7t 10 in and 9/16 which is much closer to the 8 ft I wanted originally so just every 8 ft now yeah so we can just
round it 8T no no him my gosh my gosh you look like steampunk or uh Mickey oh well we're going to be putting in a fence today everybody it's going to be great how about goofy you are goofy okay put it right in the center of this monkey 7t 10 and 916 I'm going to mark on this post 5 foot 6 in and I've already marked it on this one and I'm going to knock these Stakes down until I get that line on that Mark because really what I want is the line to be 6
in above the ground because they've got a rise right here on the property and then it kind of drops back down here so I want the fence to flow with the ground I don't want it to just have a huge gap on the bottom and I don't want to have to to dig under the fence so that we can keep it perfectly level we want it to flow nicely with the ground here make a little Loop now I'm going to Mark every one of these poles 5' 6 this line line right here is not going
into the ground it's going to this Mark right [Applause] here hold on a second hey this is going to take a little bit editor you want to drop us a sick beat while I beat the rest of these posts in the ground all you got it bro [Music] that's weird well this spot right here is going to make a liar out of me because I'm about to dig a hole so I'm GNA see what is down here that we're hitting on I don't know if it's a route or what but it is hot as a
rock that's what it is one the root that's a root people always say well what happens when you hit a root this is what happens when you hit a route [Music] I thought we hit [Music] another just want to eyeball this guys I put a lot of thought into what music goes into my videos so I'm pretty stoked to say that I actually have my very own album coming out of Hackman music that I co-produced with low wve records and it includes that Banger of a jam you just heard and you can stream this music
anywhere you normally stream your music Apple music Spotify Amazon also it's copyright free so even if you have your own YouTube channel you can use that music on your channel I'd really appreciate it if you'd give it a listen and let me know your thoughts on it because this album has a real 1980s synth Vibe but we're going to do more based on what you like to hear and what you like in the videos I'll put links in the description or you can just go to your favorite streaming service and search Hackman oh yeah that's
that good stuff right there yeah yeah that's that good Home Depot stuff right there we'll turn that into a rocking horse maybe later man I hope they're all that good okay because these aren't exactly 8 ft in between I'm going to measure at the bottom of each pole I need 91 and 58 [Music] okay little monkey child hold that up yes hold that up at the top of that hold this one down there down there down there down there down there down there okay thank you all right and I'm going to be using 1 and
5/8 screws which I hope won't come [Music] [Applause] through they do not come [Applause] [Music] through you got good you good girlfriend what is that oh what is that why Kimberly it's my it's my handy dandy don't lose my oh never mind stupid see see I'm like oh I dropped it no I didn't I dropped it no I didn't I dropped it no I didn't did you see I'm a clown did you see I'm a clown oh they are I'm surprised I can actually come out in public with these I'm probably going to get demonetized
for putting these guns on YouTube one more time just like that [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I ripped some pieces that were an inch and a quarter to go on this end because I want to be able to cap this off to dress it up at the end so I'm just going to attach those [Applause] now so we're going to be using 26 gauge corrugated metal roofing now you can get 29 gauge it's a little bit cheaper generally that's what you're going to find like in your hardware stores is 29 gauge and that's going to
be the standard corrugated you know swirly Roofing this I got from um a custom roof supplier supplier thank you I was like manufacturer whatever and so this is the heavier duty this is more like the commercial grade so it also has uh deeper ridges these ridges are an inch and a quarter and this is black now there is one downside to this and that's the backside is white you could paint this ahead of time I don't have time to do that so my sister's just going to go back once it's once everything's up and paint
this from the back inch and a half half black roofing screws now you don't want to overtighten or you'll have leaks I think I'm gonna have to make a template so that I know exactly where to put every screw so I'm going to do that now oh jeez go St so we going to put one right there put that one there and we put that one right there you can't just eyeball this you certainly could Kimberly if you didn't care how it looked [Music] the end is near at least for the paneling let me just
jump in here real quick the naysayers are going to say that this fence will never hold up to any wind but here's some footage that I took of my house the morning after Hurricane Helen hit now the grass is overgrown on the fence because we still had too much water for me to get the lawnmower back there from the previous tropical storm look at that fence Still Still straight as an arrow here's what my front yard looked like and here's what it looked like behind the fence obviously we didn't get the worst of this storm
but I think our area got wind gusts of up top like 90 mph so clearly the no dig fence can withstand some wind building this fence will add some privacy but what if you want to see what's going on in your yard when you're not there well the new S3 Pro from yic cam has Max color vision that uses Ai and a 4k camera to deliver Crystal Clear daylight footage even in pitch dark conditions without the need for a spotlight so you always know if someone's creeping around and solar plus 2.0 technology means power is
never a concern because it includes an external solar panel for flexible mounting options and maximum energy coverage with a solar panel 50% larger than the uy cam 3 it provides power for 247 surveillance it only takes 1 hour of sunlight per day to keep it fully charged Pro detection uses radar and passive infrared to accurately identify human movement and reduce false alerts by up to 99% you can set up detection ranges and activity zones to receive alerts only for specified areas I'll put a link in the description you can find out more thanks to youi
for sponsoring this [Music] video oh that last bits of doozy mhm SCE yeah don't we touch down sure that's a good way to slice your thing up if you look at the top of this fence here it's like what in the world is going on I'm like below the top and then we come over here and oh yeah like right there Bo steps down what's going on oh look how low look how low I am right there sheesh oh man what is wrong haxman sucks what is going on look at that look at that well
the reason it's like that is because I didn't do this level across I did it where it sweeps woo there's a hill in the yard right there and so this comes it might be hard to see it but it does a little bit and you're about to not even see what's right there these are going to be end caps for the fence that I'm cutting right here oh that didn't hold [Music] good catch [Music] Sun's going down I'm feeling like the Bandit man I got a long way to go in a short time to get
there now I'm going to take these 2x sixes and start putting these on top to dress that top up to hide all those [Music] imperfections oh so nice on the side of little uh that's oh okay let me see calm down I help you I just like chopped it right on top of that all right let me put my gloves on like an idiot I'm going to take this one by and that's going to be oh how I determine I'm just going to do a very small [Music] flip all right I cut that at of
45 there so hopefully that'll make for a cleaner better [Music] [Music] [Applause] joint I needed probably another hour to finish everything on the fence how I wanted but that would mean driving all the way over there and that means a whole another day to finish the fence technically the fence is finished just how it is and I'm happy the way it came out my original plan was to run a 1x4 along the bottom edge of the fence as well and run some vertical 1x4s I wanted to frame it out in 8T sections I couldn't get
that done but it still looks good and she's happy with it and they can finish it later and best of all they can now enjoy their deck and fire pit in complete privacy now you know how to build a no dig privacy fence super fast super easy and one that will last practically forever but if you watch this video right here I will show you how to wrap your extension cords in a way that nobody ever shows you it's the no fail secret method to never get another Bend or another tangle in your extension cord
thanks for watching I'll see you next time
