if your church is doing these four things you must run you must leave immediately one of the greatest mistakes Christians make is to think because a church is big and successful it must be Godly lies the success of a church has nothing to do with the size of its building or membership it has everything to do with its strict adherence to the Bible if your church Focus too much on any of these things you must run now to find a God-fearing Bible hearing Church number one Mega Prosperity churches okay I know this may not go

well with some people but hold on have you noticed these Trends in some Churches today these churches attract large crowds because they tell people what they want to hear rather than what they need to hear they often focus on boosting self-esteem teaching wealth creation or outlining principles of prosperity ordinarily nothing is wrong with this there is nothing wrong with teaching wealth and prosperity to children of God in fact I do it too however the fundamental purpose of a church is not to serve these ends it is not to create Millionaires and worldly riches a Church's

primary mission is to be a House of Prayer an Avenue that leads people to Salvation in Matthew 21:13 Jesus declared it is written my house shall be called a House of Prayer but you have made it a den of Thieves this powerful statement highlights the intended sanctity of the church and contrasts it with the observed desecration Jesus did not call his house a place of entertainment or a venue for secular Gatherings he emphasized prayer as its defining activity if your church mostly focuses on worldly nourishment with teachings of prosperity without giving you the much needed

spiritual guidance to maintain and protect your salvation run run because as Jesus admonished if anything will cause you to loose your salvation you must cut it off number two the Seeker friendly movement churches this trend started with the Seeker friendly or Seeker sensitive movement in the 1980s which aimed to draw people particularly non-believers by adopting more contemporary styles their Moto is to say whatever and do whatever to get people into the church however they compromise the integrity and value of the church in the process this movement persists today seeker-friendly churches strive to be relevant especially

to younger audiences which means their approach often mirrors current societal Trends as a result these churches transform into something resembling entertainment venues rather than houses of Prayer have you ever noticed that anytime a celebrity claims to be a Christian groups of churches and Christians automatically make that individual the poster boy or girl of Christianity why because these churches have a strong desire to become like the world to be liked and celebrated these churches starts being afraid to speak about worldly controversial issues like fornication homosexuality crimin Al ity and the likes many modern churches are so

desperate to be accepted and loved by the world that they are eager to be associated with famous personalities however the standard of Christianity should not be celebrities but Jesus Christ he is the one we should aspire to be like and look to not celebrities if this is what your church does run run and run until you find a God-fearing Church whose anchor is on Jesus number three the dangerous worship of pastors I said before that it is wrong for churches to make celebrities the anchor of the evangelism but some even do worse they turn their

pastors into celebrities and object of worship unfortunately we live in a world of celebrity culture and this has filtered into pastors now you even hear the term celebrity Pastor human beings have a tendency to want Idols to put people on a pedestal and this is how Pastor worship starts the moment you find yourself adoring a man as opposed to the Lord Jesus Christ you are heading down a dangerous path your faith becomes rooted in a person not in the Lord Jesus Christ the danger of celebrity pastorship is that the congregation begin to look up to

them as opposed to looking up to God members ignore true personal revelation for watered down pastors counseling women rever the pastors as demigods while they disrespect their own husbands the men refuse to listen to the wisdom of God's word and Lead their homes but instead they rely on the absolute the dictate of their Pastor whose goals are often in opposition to God's will there is another reason this even more dangerous with the help of social media and other media tools this new generation mega churches have become become so powerful in a way that we have

never before witnessed in history pastors can have mega churches and even have hundreds of thousands of people view their content online giving them tremendous power and influence members take off their garments on the floor to form a red carpet for their pastors some weep openly just by looking at their pastors no man deserves such adulation no man can appropriate God's Glory without repercussion if this is your pastor run number four churches that redefine sin churches are changing becoming more worldly more accepting of sin and more inclusive of Lifestyles contrary to the word of God some

churches are turning into worldly community centers concerts with a Bible verse mentioned here and there venues for political rallies or Battlegrounds for culture wars and ideologies they are becoming dens of Thieves where celebrity pastors can lie to your face as they tell you to give your money to them so much so that these churches are truly dens of Thieves Jesus assertion of the church's purpose it is also noteworthy intriguingly and interestingly that Jesus did not refer to his house as a House of preaching despite the importance of the word nor a House of Music despite

the uplift it provides the Omission is striking and intentional he specified prayer as the defining activity underscoring its unparalleled significance in our relationship with God there is nothing that can substitute for prayer not Bible reading not Bible memorization not preaching the word or singing prayer stands alone the word is an important part of the church and so is evangelism but if your church is not a House of Prayer run before it is too late many modern churches are so busy trying to be like the world so busy trying to please the world that it is

becoming increasingly worldly there are churches now where you cannot distinguish whether you are at a rock concert or a church service we are living in an age where people claim to be Christian but wear outfits to church that are more suitable for a night club than a church their lives are the exact same as unbelievers and yet they claim to be Christian they claim to be Christians yet watch things a Christian should not watch go places a Christian should not go behave in a manner a Christian should not behave wear sensual clothing listen to and

sing sensual music and talk in a manner a Christian should not talk a church that prioritizes Earthly relevance risks losing its Heavenly Focus the focus is on prayer and intimacy with God in Acts 4: 23-31 following the arrest of Peter and John their immediate response wasn't a calculated sermon or an organized protest rather the community turned to prayer their prayer was potent unifying and demonstrative of a profound Reliance on God's guidance and intervention in whatever situations these Christians found themselves they prayed when they were in trouble they prayed when when they were persecuted they prayed

when they faced challenges in choosing a replacement for Judas they prayed when they needed guidance and Direction they prayed when they were in prison they prayed when they faced imminent danger they prayed when they were facing illness they prayed when they needed strength and encouragement they prayed when they were making important decisions they prayed they understood and cherished the word of our Lord Jesus Christ my house shall be a House of Prayer the same goes for you in all things pray prayer is a true form of worship yet we attend churches and live Lifestyles that

only occasionally include prayer I am sorry but I am embarrassed by the state of some Churches across this nation this is a call to every one of us what have we turned the house of God into because we lack the consistency of Prayer we lace the courage to speak the truth people of god let's call a spade a spade adultery is adultery fornication is fornication sexual immorality is sexual immorality a church that prays does not create a conducive atmosphere for sin but in a church that doesn't pray sin thrives in that environment sin lives in

that environment we cannot separate Christianity and prayer acts 2: 1 to4 describes the day of Pentecost and when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one Accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty Wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them clo tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance this

message isn't just about physical Church buildings but also applies to our hearts according to 1 Corinthians 6: 19 your body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost the first temple to cleanse is your own heart have you permitted desires or impulses that God disapproves of to enter your life it's time to clear them out out your heart and life should be devoted to prayer as instructed to pray without ceasing God Delights in answering prayers there is immense joy in receiving a response from the most powerful being in the universe affirming that he listens and responds

God still answers prayers and communicates with his people as members of the body of Christ we must return to a life of prayer fostering a genuine relationship with God make time to commune with the Lord regularly whether it's during a drive to work before an exam or ahead of a significant day speak to your savior and maintain an ongoing dialogue with God throughout your daily activities the Bible teaches about a very real spirit world to deny the reality of the spirit world is to deny the very Bible to deny the reality of the spirit world

is to reject the instructions of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 612 for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities against Powers against the rulers of the darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness in high places if there's one group of people who should understand the spirit world it's Christians yet if you were to attend the modern Church you might believe that demons no longer exist the Bible never said this the Bible never avoids this topic yet modern churches and modern preachers avoid this topic indeed they will preach to you about getting a

breakthrough getting rich and about your dreams coming true however they will avoid the topic of demons even though there are people living in this world who face unclean spirits and Devils every single day of their lives if your church avoids speaking about the principalities and Powers ask why if you can make the change if not run to conclude when I say run I mean run to Jesus run to a church that acknowledges the teaching and power in the name of Jesus the core message is clear turn to Jesus if you are experiencing demonic attack turn

to Jesus if your do not get spiritual nourishment from your church turn to Jesus there is power in the name of Jesus there is victory in the name of Jesus there is salvation in the name of Jesus there is hope and wholeness in the name of Jesus there is Deliverance in the name of Jesus there is Authority in the name of Jesus there is healing in the name of Jesus there is peace in the name of Jesus there is redemption in the name of Jesus there is refuge in the name of Jesus there is light
