Search Me O God and Draw Me Closer Today | Morning Prayer

before we pray I'd like to share a short message from the Bible and then we'll pray together God knows everything about you your struggles your fears and every single burden that weighs on your heart he sees exactly where you are in life every step you've taken every roadblock you've faced and every hurdle that has left you weary and worn out he knows how exhausting this journey has been for you even when others may not see or understand God sees the depths of your soul and the weight that's pressing down on you he knows the darkness

of the pit that you may feel stuck in and he feels the weariness in your bones from carrying these loads in his infinite understanding God knows it all intimately fully and compassionately he sees you and all that you're going through and in his love he holds every part of your struggle close to his heart for us the way forward the true path to peace freedom and strength lies in surrendering ourselves completely to him this isn't always easy because surrender means letting go of our need to control or understand every detail of our journey but real

peace comes when we lay down our burdens and Trust God's guidance instead of relying on our limited perspective it's time to stop trying to figure everything out by ourselves to let go of our worries and simply trust him with every part of our Lives when we give up the need to solve every problem on our own we make room for God's strength to come in and carry us through open your heart and let him in fully even into those broken places you try to hide yield to God allow him to guide your steps and trust

that he knows the best way for you even when it doesn't all make sense Psalm 139 says search me oh God and know my heart try me and know my anxieties and see if there is any wicked way in me and Lead Me in the way Everlasting these words Express a desire for God's intimate understanding and refining love when we ask God to search us we're asking him to go beyond what others see and to touch the hidden corners of our hearts our fears our motives and even our sins we're asking him to reveal anything

within us that doesn't align with his will so that we can become more like him this isn't always comfortable but it's through this testing and refining that our faith grows stronger and we become more mature in Christ we invite God to remove anything that holds us back unforgiveness hurt pride and anything that weighs down our soul so that we may walk in his path each one of us should long to draw closer to God to grow more intimate with him because he deeply desires a close personal relationship with every one of us God wants us

to know him deeply and he calls us to approach him with Open Hearts with faith and with a willing us to let go of everything that ties us to this world we need to hold tightly to what matters most God's word prayer and our love for him let our hearts be firmly fixed on Jesus clinging to him as if our very lives depend on it because in truth our Eternal lives do depend on it Jesus is worth pursuing Above All Else and nothing in this world can compare to the joy of knowing him fully now

let us come before God In Prayer loving Lord you are so good so faithful and you have always been the strength that holds me up every day there are moments when I feel weak times when My Own Strength feels like it isn't enough yet I know that in those very moments you are there giving me all the strength I need thank you for being the one who sustains me who never leaves me nor forsakes me I ask Lord that my heart would be like David's completely devoted to you with one pure desire to be close

to you to dwell in your presence every single day of my life just as David longed to be near you let that be my longing too let me find my deepest Joy my greatest peace and my truest fulfillment in your presence for I know Lord that when I am near to you I am safe and my heart is at peace in your presence I am hidden and protected sheltered in the warmth of your love you lift me high far above any harm and you keep me secure in the shelter of Your Love Holy Spirit I

ask you to work within me creating a deep longing for God's word please stir up a desire within me to spend time with the scriptures to meditate on them and to let them sink deeply into my heart I ask that you would give me a hunger for the word that draws me closer to God's heart let every word I read be like nourishment for my soul bringing me closer to understanding who God is and who he wants me to be and not just for the word Holy Spirit but fill me with a desire for prayer

as well let there be a longing within me to communicate with my heavenly father to pour pour out my heart before him to seek his guidance and his love stir up in me a desire to worship to sing his praises and to glorify his name and help me to seek communion with the Lord to find comfort and strength in his presence to know him in a way that is deep personal and intimate Lord Jesus you are Mighty yet you are gentle and compassionate I humbly seek a lasting relationship with you one that brings good things

into my life and that changes me in ways I cannot change on my own I want to know you not just in words or ideas but in my heart and soul I want a relationship with you that fills me with peace even when life is hard that surrounds me with protection and that brings true transformation deep within me I Adore You Lord Jesus and I lift up your holy name knowing that you are My Savior My Redeemer and my closest friend I thank you for the power of your blood for your sacrifice on the cross

your blood is not just a symbol it is alive it is powerful and it brings healing and transformation I pray that the power of your blood would wash over me changing me completely making me more like you Lord my heart yearns to grow in faith to have a stronger deeper trust in you I want to grow in understanding to know your ways to see things from your perspective and to understand the truths of your word I ask for wisdom the wisdom that comes from above that will guide my decisions and help me to walk in

your ways help me to grow in all of these areas Master because I know that only through you can I truly change and become who you want me to be I believe that the Holy Spirit working within me has the power to transform me to make me new to bring about a change that is real and Lasting where I am weak I trust that your strength will make me strong I believe that through you I will be able to overcome anything that life brings I'm so grateful that you hear this prayer that you listen to
