I see you want to learn more about how to master the Flow State and reach effortless success that's great because if you want to come closer to your goals and use the fast lane of Life the next few minutes will change everything for you so if you're not distracted I'm really focusing hard on what I'm doing trying to learn this new thing you're giving the right mental conditions so do yourself a favor put this video in full screen and put your phone aside to avoid any distractions but when that happens you know you really do
not try to focus on what's going on because I you you can lose it in a second um has it ever happened to you that you are in a Zone where everything else just ceases to exist you lose track of time and you are able to work effortlessly well listen brother just a few years ago I was doing my thesis and I would um sometimes get into this Zone where I would lose awareness of everything other than my work my creativity and productivity would be at their Peak and I was not constantly distracted by every
other thing it would would would feel so rewarding to work when I was in such a head space um but it always happened on its own and I did not know how to enter such a Zone uh intentionally but I really wanted to and so I took the help of my good friend the internet and that's when I came across this Zone called a flow State and you won't believe what I read brother turns out that I could go into this Zone effortlessly flow state is when you are fully immersed in your work without distractions
I looked it up and apparently miali chent mihali yes I know we keep stumbling over the father of positive psychology um he was the first to coin the term Flow State he was not the first to identify the phenomenon of Flow State but it was the first time it was researched on now I took the time to read through the study and many participants describe the feeling of the Flow State as flowing along a river hence the name Flow State listen dude one misconception that I had about the flow state was that I thought I
could only go into a flow state while doing something I enjoyed so for example I cannot go into a flow State while cleaning because that's not something that I enjoy doing and I'm sure some of you can relate uh but um oh boy was I wrong when I moved into my own space I realized that anytime I would deep clean my space I would go into what I now know is a flow State I would lose my sense of time and self and would be so immersed in organizing and cleaning and every time I would
get out of this state my apartment was the only thing looking like 100 bucks I felt like 100 bucks as well have you ever felt something like like that let me know in the comment section below now let's have a closer look on what happens to the brain during flow man I don't know the exact science behind it but I think it's definitely interesting how we enter this state where we lose consciousness of time and space um but why is it so rewarding for us that's what I wanted to know and I wanted to answer
that question badly so I turned to my good old friend the internet once again and you might want to sit down because I came across a bunch of interesting stuff so re research has found changes in brain activity um while we are in a flow State um scientists propose two different theories on what is really going on inside our brains while we are so deeply immersed in our work okay so according to the first Theory called the transient hypofrontality Theory while we are in a flow State the activity in our prefrontal cortex is reduced for
those of you who didn't pay attention in Biology class like me the prefrontal cortex is part of our brain that is responsible for higher cognitive functions such as memory and self-consciousness this explains why people who are in a flow state do not perceive time the same and lose awareness ofs and their surroundings now the second theory called the synchronization theory states that during the Flow State different parts of our brain communicate more effectively with one another or in simpler words they are in sync and therefore we feel this like satisfying and rewarding feeling and of
according to this Theory and um there is increased activity in the frontal cortex which leads to higher cognition and therefore higher quality of work um both theories are a little contradictory to one another um but you got to cut the scientific Community some slack brother this Flow State stuff is still a relatively new Theory and they're looking into it so give it a couple of years and they might have something for us but right now what they do have for us is Flow State and the Law of Attraction scientists do know that flow State essentially
takes you to a Zone where you are hyper focused on a task and the Law of Attraction requires us to be highly focused on something to attract it but what exactly does that mean brother well I looked into it some more and here's what I gathered from my research flow state is not only something that you can employ at work or when you want to complete a task it can also be employed when you want to manifest something in your life and I mean something you really want it can't be something like what you want
for dinner um think brother like completing a task so you can achieve your goals and it gets better folks Flow State doesn't just help you complete your goals but it also helps you focus and get a view of the big picture you can meditate during the Flow State and gain more clarity on your life goals which will only help you receive blessings quicker moreover going into the Flow State also helps you manifest the life of your dreams uh because you're now spending uh quality time working on your goals uh and this work is happening from
a place of confidence and because those are prerequisites to entering the Flow State so I know what you're thinking right now it sounds all good but how exactly do I enter the Flow State well I am about to reveal that next but first let me clear up something no two people experience Flow State in the same way and because the experience is different so is the way to achieve it it is something that I have learned by trying different tactics and through trial and error um some tactics worked for me while um some worked for
my my friends but would not work for me at all um there are a few common and basic factors that will get you started on this um first of all we've got the challenge skill balance the easiest way for me to get into the flow state is to find a task that is challenging enough to tickle my mind without stressing me out so much that I give up as we discussed earlier a flow state is achieved when there is a balance between skill and challenge a simple and easy task will probably bore you and a
task that is too challenging will stress you out in both situations you are not in a neutral state of mind and hence entering the flow state is not possible in such situations so take the lane in the middle um cut yourself some slack but not too much you catch my drift and that brings me to the next thing valuable work doing something that is valuable is a sure way to get you in the Flow State valuable work does not mean that you are changing lives even though it can be that also but on a regular
basis most of us are not saving or changing lives so what is valuable work then any task that helps you achieve something bigger um cleaning your apartment will make you feel better mentally and physically so it is valuable work you know what you are achieving with the task um similarly at work if your work does not align with the company's objectives you would find it meaningless and would find it hard to enter the Flow State so my advice to you brother um would be to find something that's the best best use of your time and
on that note try your best to reduce distractions remember what I said before there are no distractions when you are in a flow State um but you can't leave it all to Flow State brother uh you need to reduce distractions to get into Flow State in the first place this might sound contradicting to you but let me explain I get distracted when my workspace is messy and so before entering into a flow State I must clear my desk so that my mind is cleared once I have removed physical distractions the mental distractions have reduced too
now it is easy to get into a flow State and stay there um figure out your distractions maybe you cannot concentrate when you are hungry um or when your seating position is not comfortable um create an environment that is conducive to entering the Flow State um once you have entered the Flow State uh your brain will then dissociate from the surroundings and you will not get distracted but while you are in the process of getting into it distractions can well distract you and honestly that's nothing to be embarrassed about I checked my phone like a
hundred times while making this video in today's hyperconnected age where our attention spans have lessened drastically it can be difficult to reduce distractions you can snooze your notifications put your Gadgets in another room or schedule time blocks for your tasks again you will figure these things out by trial and error another suggestion I'm going to give you is to focus at one task at a time multitasking and flow states are each at the opposite ends of the spectrum if your mind is focused on multiple things at a time you will not be able to Deep
dive into one area you might think that multitasking will save you time but it is deep focused work that saves you time in the long term while you're multitasking um your mind is constantly switching from one task to another and essentially disrupting any Flow State that you're trying to create you are constantly being distracted by another task and as we discussed in the last Point distractions will not let you enter a flow State uh so create time blocks batch your tasks and focus on the task at hand but most importantly Don't Force It some days
I want to get in the Flow State but my mind just does not cooperate instead of trying to force it to enter into a flow State I have learned to let it be and sometimes when I let my mind be I can enter into a flow State effortlessly however many times I accept that it is not my most productive day and that is also okay the more you control something the more out of control it gets you have been in the Flow State before and you will be able to get into it again trust me
on this and it is not necessary to enter a flow state to get your work done you can still do a great job while not being in a flow State entering a flow state is highly beneficial to get better at the work you do and also to make the work you do more enjoyable and engaging so you are not only enjoying the work but also improving your skills simultaneously fortunately it is a skill that anyone can learn on their own it is however important to remember that the state of flow is dynamic and will look
different in different life phases and also for different people it will work uniquely so do not compare your state and just let the Flow State embrace you and flow along it if all of this sounds good and you're really serious about how to turn your life around and Master Flow State you might want to check out this video right here
