[Music] Good morning. We are experiencing difficult times. We know, moments that are also much more complex than we are told.
I am referring to the Middle East, obviously, which is, in short, the topic of my interest, linked to the Bible. As always, the discussion that comes to us. .
. The narrative that is given is very simplistic, in the sense that we are told: there are the Israelis on one side and the Palestinians on the other, they are competing for territories, in particular the Israelis who occupy the territory of Palestine. Well, things aren't that simple.
Now, obviously, I don't want to do a very detailed analysis because it would also be boring, but things are not that simple, because within Israel - one might say - they would also have to come to some agreement among themselves. In the sense that the movements that are present among the Jews are different: we know that there is the Zionist movement, within the Zionist movement there are however different currents. For example, there is the so-called revisionist Zionism which is the most to the right, the one most influenced by right-wing ideas, which is also a secular Zionism.
But despite being secular, he has no scruples about drawing on the Bible to be able - so to speak - to advance his claims on the territory. And then there are anti-Zionist Jews. I'm thinking for example of the Neturei Karta movement, which if I'm not mistaken means "the guardians of the city" who are Jews who migrated from Hungary in the last century and who are anti-Zionists.
That is, they say that the Jews have the right to a land but they are against this state of Israel which they consider illegitimate for the simple fact that it was not founded by the Messiah. Because it was founded - we know - essentially by the Western powers who decided on the division of the Middle East after the British governorship. So this Neturei Karta movement is so anti-Zionist that it is almost currently pro-Palestinian.
Let's think, for example, that some of their leaders went to the funeral of Arafat, who we know was head of the Palestine Liberation Organization for many years. They even refuse, for example, to use paper money on which there are references to the movement and Zionist ideology. So in reality things are not that simple.
Let's think for example of Benjamin Netanyahu, the current head of government in Israel, who is the one who repeatedly says that Israel has the right to this land and wants to occupy the entire territory of Gaza, for example, but even more, probably even territories all over interior of Lebanon. His father was an Ashkenazi Jew. Let's say that the vast majority of Jews in the world are Ashkenazi.
His name was Mileikowsky and then when he emigrated to Palestine he took the name Netanyahu. This name derives from the town of Natania. So “natan ya” and “ya” we know is one of the ways Yahweh's name is represented.
We have also seen it many times in the videos with Professor Corrias. We have seen how often it is present, for example, in Sardinia. So Netanyahu means “Yahweh gave.
” Netanyahu 's family is secular, however Netanyahu absolutely does not disdain referring to the Bible to give historical foundation and I would say religious and almost divine foundation to the promises and obviously to his intention to occupy those territories. A secular family. It seems to me that only his daughter is a so-called "baalat teshuva", that is, a person who, coming from a secular family, has returned to Orthodox Judaism.
So Netanyahu's father belonged to the so-called "revisionist Zionism", which is precisely this part of Zionism which, despite being secular, in reality - as I said - does not disdain referring to biblical promises and this is important, it is important to understand how important it is the Bible still to this day. But what are the biblical promises of Greater Israel? Because then this is what we refer to or want to refer to.
Let's go and see them directly because it is fundamental. The first promise is the one that Yahweh made to Abraham. Here we are in Genesis 15 where Yahweh makes the pact with Abraham.
We know that the animals are divided, the two parts are hung and to celebrate the pact, the two contracting parties pass between them. And from verse 17 it says: "When the sun set, it became very dark. Behold, a smoking brazier and a burning torch passed among the divided animals.
On that day Yahweh concluded this alliance with Abraham: to your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates. The land where the Kenites , the Cadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzim, the Rephaim live - we found it when we spoke of the Giants - the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Giergashites and the Jebusites. " So this is the promise of greater Israel from Egypt to the Euphrates.
If we look at the maps, even those drawn by Israeli soldiers aiming for greater Israel, we see all of this territory identified with this promise. The promise is then reconfirmed several times, I'll only read you one because I absolutely don't want to bore you. For example in the Book of Numbers in chapter 34 it says: "The Lord spoke to Moses and said: command the Israelites and tell them that when you enter the land of Canaan this will be the land that will be your inheritance, the land of Canaan according to the your southern border will begin at the wilderness of Sin on the side of Edom.
So your southern border will start from the end of the Dead Sea in the east, this border will turn south of the rise of. Aqrabbìm, will pass through Tzin and will extend to the south of Qadèsh-barnea, then it will continue towards Chatzàr-addàr and will pass through Atzmòn the border will turn to the torrent of Egypt - here we are, here we are again - and that will be yours . border Your border to the west will be the "Mare Grande" that is the Mediterranean Sea".
And so this is what is happening at the moment, that is, the entire occupation of the Gaza territory to reach the Mediterranean. Apparently it seems that they are already proceeding with some sort of subdivisions of these territories now taken for granted as belonging to greater Israel. "The frontier to the west will be the "Mare Grande", that will be your western frontier.
This will be your northern frontier however, starting from the "Mare Grande" you will draw a line up to Mount Hor". Mount Hor is located in the mountain range of northern Lebanon. "From Mount Hor you will trace it to the entrance of Chamat and at the end of the border it will be at Zedad.
The border will continue up to Ziphron and end at Chazàr-enan. This will be your northern border. You will trace your eastern border from Chazàr- enan to Shephàm will descend from Shephàm towards Rivla, east of Ain ; Chinneret.
- that is, the lake of Gennesaret - In the east the border will then descend along the Jordan to the Dead Sea. This will be your land with its borders all around. " So at a certain point it is reduced a bit, we are no longer at the Euphrates but as an eastern border we are at the Dead Sea.
Then this is repeated again. It is repeated in the Book of Joshua, it is repeated in Ezekiel chapter 47. And so we are faced with a very detailed description of great Israel made by Yahweh.
But Yahweh, we also mentioned it in the videos where we talk about Yahweh in Sardinia, in reality he was probably, indeed almost certainly, known in those territories long before the formal birth of the people of Israel. Formal birth that is attributed to Moses who, by taking those tribes away from Egypt, effectively built the people of Israel with its famous twelve tribes. That is, the children, essentially the descendants, of Jacob's family.
Because when Moses flees Egypt after killing an Egyptian and flees to the land of Midian and meets Jethro or Reuel - the one who will later be his father-in-law - he marries his daughter Zipporah or Zipporah, after which he manages to take that people out of Egypt and Jethro goes to meet him, he goes to meet him and it says here in Exodus 18, "Jethro was priest of Midian. " And Moses tells him the whole story what happened, that is, the plagues in Egypt, the passage through the "sea of reeds" as we have already seen other times and therefore tells him all the so-called portents that Yahweh would have done in favor of his people. "And Jethro said: Blessed is Yahweh who has delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of Pharaoh.
He has delivered this people from the hand of Egypt. Now I know that Yahweh is greater than all the Elohim, he has turned against them what they were planning. " So here too Jethro confirms the existence of many Elohim and gives priority to Yahweh precisely because of what he had just done.
"Moses' father-in-law Jehovah offered a burnt offering - which was the typical sacrifice required by Yahweh - and sacrifices to Elohim. " Then he offers the typical sacrifice requested by Yahweh: the burnt offering, the victim that had to be entirely burned to produce that smoke which, we know, calmed Yahweh. "Aaron and all the elders of Israel came to participate in the banquet with Moses' father-in-law before the Elohim.
" And so here the Elohim is indicated with the article, therefore in front of that Elohim. In front of Yahweh, so the sacrifice is made specifically for Yahweh. And then immediately afterwards Jethro teaches Moses how to manage these people, because Moses actually took care of everything himself.
That is, he judged all the cases, all the discussions, all the diatribes that there were and Jethro tells him: but you can't do everything alone. That is, at some point you will be overwhelmed. So choose some trusted men, divide them and nominate them as leaders of groups of ten, of fifty, of a hundred and let them be the ones to judge, it's a hierarchy.
In the sense that the smallest disputes, those that happened every day among these nomadic tribes, were judged by the direct leader, the smallest one. Then, as these discussions became more important, they rose in rank and only the most important ones had to reach Moses which he in turn would then present to Yahweh. Because Yahweh was not to be disturbed.
So much so that at a certain point Yahweh says: don't name me in vain, don't call me in vain, that is, don't call me for all your little things but call me only for important matters. I would say for issues that were strategic from a military point of view. Then, after the meeting with Jethro, Moses takes the Israelites and begins to move towards the land of Canaan, that is, the so-called Promised Land.
The Israelites were the descendants of Jacob's family - we have already said it many times but it is important to repeat it - they were therefore not all the Jews, who were thousands of families who descended from Shem first, from Ever after and then in particular also from the family of Abraham and who were in and around the land of Canaan such as the Moabites, Ammonites, etc. Before, among other things, I mentioned the Ashkenazim, who represent the current majority of Jews. It will be worth perhaps dedicating a separate video to the Ashkenazis because they are important.
Among other things, when Moses leaves to conquer the land of Canaan, which will then be led by Joshua, he is accompanied by one of the sons of Jethro and with him go many of these Midianites, who will then settle in the south of the land of Canaan and let's say in the Negev. Here, just to understand, and among other things I read the news because it is important, it is said that the sons of Jethro went to live with the sons of Judah in the desert of Judah, the Negeb south of Arad. So says the Bible, and precisely by excavating the ruins of Arad and a fortress located 10 km to the south-east in a place called Horvat, traces of a population residing there were found and characterized by the fact that more than 60% of the names contained the theophoric prefix or suffix "Yhw" and, in the case of Horwat Uza, by the absence of common figurative representations in contemporary Palestinian sites.
And we know that the absence of representations was a precise order of Yahweh, who did not want anything that was on earth, under the waters and in the heavens to be represented. The presence of more than 60% of the suffix Yahweh, that is, the theophoric suffix "YHW", we have also seen this in Sardinia therefore gives us the idea of the extension of the cult of Yahweh. It makes us understand that in reality the Midianites also referred to him and Jethro was one of his priests.
Which makes us think that in fact Yahweh was truly a lord of Teman, that is, a lord of the south of the land of Canaan who then became. . .
In the sense that he made sure to have this people of Israelites as a people of priests , that is, a people specifically dedicated to their needs. What is certain is that now even secular ideologies refer to the Bible to obviously justify territorial claims and we know what is happening, I won't tell you about it. Among other things, lately, I don't know if you've heard or read the news of Israeli settlers chasing Palestinians out of their olive groves.
In the sense that the Palestinians are harvesting olives, precisely these days, the olives that they have grown and are being hunted. Well, I also have to say that this has a biblical precedent. In the book of Joshua, in chapter 24, hear what it says.
Joshua has gathered the people and speaks for Yahweh and says, "You crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. The lords of Jericho attacked you - et cetera and then a whole series of other peoples - and I gave you land that you had not worked . Live in cities that you did not build and eat the fruits of vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant.
" As if someone really wants to realize, or rather no, someone definitely wants to realize these biblical promises and therefore we must keep this fact in mind. That is, we must keep in mind the figure of this Yahweh who certainly is everything less than a good God. But as it is said in Exodus an "ich milhama", a man of war.
And, unfortunately, the massacres of this period, which are also justified by his words, by his promises, are telling us this. And therefore it would be important, in my opinion, for believers above all to think about this when they recite or sing the Alleluia because "allelu Yah" means "praise Yahweh". So it is good to think before saying that this individual is to be praised.
Bye, thanks and see you next time.
