it here's how I blew up this faceless YouTube channel in three videos um and if you don't know who I am uh my name is Noah Morris I've been in a bunch of uh well quite uh well viewed um YouTube interviews you can look up my name Noah Morris and you'll see uh my backstory basically uh this is a smaller channel of mine I have channels that are uh much much larger than this but I thought it would be interesting to go over this channel just because um you know I think it's quite an interesting
case study of how you can blow up or my thought process behind blowing up uh faceless YouTube channels and how I looked at uh picking this Niche how I looked uh at how I was going to package the videos how I was going to choose um how I was going to choose the titles um how I collected the team um and basically how much the videos cost so most gurus go over very surface level information um I'll try to go really in depth uh show you exactly how I did uh everything at each step and
uh yeah I'd recommend to give this video a short I think you'll learn way more than any you know faceless course you've maybe bought or maybe those you know faceless AI YouTube channels that have like a floating character bouncing around the screen um that which give out like very basic information so yeah give this a try and I'll I'll go step by step on how I grew this channel from zero so at to start off this is this channel when I first started it out um it was just an organic channel uh completely new it's
not a an age Channel or an age Prem monetized Channel um and I'll show you the First videos uh right here so the first video we did um was why did and this video is in the poppy playtime Niche and I'll explain how I um why I chose this Niche down the road and also why I stopped uploading on the channel um but this was the first video uh we made um and it it had some decent traction at the start so um for in the first few days nothing much happened and then on day
number nine or so it started blowing up uh as you can see it took like two weeks for it to really gain traction but really the video that did it for us was um this video so when we started doing this thumbnail style uh with the black background and the uh white and red text that's really where the channel started to blow up uh as you can see this video only took four days or so or like three days to uh start going uh insanely fast so um let me before we get into you know
uh the inps on on what my thought process behind the packaging let me really quickly just show you how I derived this Niche so I started doing Niche research and basically um what I look for when I do Niche research is very recently started channels uh that are getting a lot of views consistently with the same format right um and when I did that so um I was basically scrolling around on YouTube using uh the NEX left extension filters um and found this channel initially so this was the channel um I based um I based
my Channel at the start now we have a different thumbnail style um but yeah this is the channel we basically found and I saw this video blow up um and and after that I got interested in this KN so the the way I found this initial channel so I'm Al always trying to find Initial inspiration points um so what I mean with initial inspiration points is a uh one channel that I usually find either on you know the next left Niche Finder or my YouTube homepage by just scrolling around in incognito mode and and using
the filter to um you know sort on uh High View channels versus uh low like High View channels that have low subscrib um I found this Channel and this is what I would call a starting point channel so a starting point channel is a a point a channel that serves as a point of inspiration or a point of uh or or a lead basically to start looking more in depth into a certain Niche or a certain topic right and in this case this channel brought me onto poppy playtime so I found this channel I was
like okay let me start looking across the entire poppy playtime Niche and see um how that Niche is doing so initially I found this video right here it it was already at I think like 1.2 1.3 million views by the point I found it um and and I saw them over time I kept an eye on this channel and I saw them uploading video after video and it kept blowing up and uh and and the videos just kept going viral over and over again and the cool part about these videos uh and the two things
that that really caught my attention uh about for this Niche is that these videos are pretty uh simple to produce I mean it was just some gaml with some pictures floating up on the screen um and I was like okay there's quite a lot of views here um the thumbnails aren't too um too hard to do it's also quite easy to to derive topics because when I saw this channel initially what I what I usually think when I see this channel is like okay what was their process in making the video so whenever you find
an interesting Niche or an interesting channel so when I say interesting Niche or interesting Channel I'm referring to let's say channels on that have less than 20 uh videos on there started in the last three months um and um have like at least in in these type of new is like 250k views uh a video just because the RPM is quite low um if I see those type of channels my initial thought process is okay how hard is it to produce these type of videos and is it worth the time uh and effort to produce
these type of videos right so um when I looked at this I immediately started scheming uh as into okay how do I also create these videos for myself right uh and and what I basically found out was that they were basically uh they were just going to uh the uh poopy playtime subreddit and poopy playtime is a horror video game they were going to the uh pu playtime subreddit and the uh playtime Discord server so Discord server are Discord servers are super underrated place to higher uh faces YouTube Channel Talent as well as uh finding
uh topics for your next YouTube videos cuz there's like a big community on there that discuss theories as well uh and they basically went to that um Reddit um and I'll show you they were going to this Reddit um and I'm not sure uh if this is the right one but they were going to this Reddit and they were just taking uh the trending theories from here and then they were just turning them into you know simple documentary that's essay uh videos so uh after I sold this channel uh pop off um I wanted confirmation
so that's the next step so I I understood okay this Channel's doing well they're probably earning a bit of money so I mean they were getting a two2 $3 RPM that's what I was expecting um and they were probably earning a couple thousand dollars a month and at that point I was like okay they're earning a bit of money let me go ahead and see if I can confirm that this uh channel is not a um you know a u a one hit one there because that happens quite a lot so what I see people
do is for example they come across channels like magnet media right or moon or these really big faces channels or even smaller ones um for example when Fern start first started out or um there were a couple other super high quality channels um they blew up obviously because the uh content quality is good and people thought they could reproduce that uh success but um the problem is some channels just have an edge or something that you can see on the surface that makes them able to win and that could be timing right that could be
quality that could be the personality or or feeling behind the channel uh sometimes especially when the uh when you're in a niche where I didn't know not anything about poppy playtime I I I didn't even know what game it was I didn't even know it existed by the time I I found this Niche I just uh started um watching the videos uh to learn more about it so that's another very important tip is whenever you find a niche you don't know anything about you first want to become a fan yourself um that's what I did
so I started watching uh poppy playtime recap videos as in like I I wanted to understand the lore and I I watched all the videos about um them playing through the entire game and and talking about the lore and and the story of the game and uh once I did that I kind of understood the niche um but a lot of people will think oh this video or this channel is getting a lot of views without understanding the intention behind why an audience is watching the actual video and they will just jump in the niche
and then the channel will fail and they were like but I just made the same video why is my channel not not taking off but most likely because you don't understand the subject deep enough or on a deep enough level you missed something um or you missed something that triggers the audience uh to be interested right and it also uh doesn't enable you to make uh interesting titles that resonate with the audience if you jump into niches um you must make sure beforehand you completely understand the motivation or or the where the interest of the
audience come uh comes from because so many times I see people make you know uh faces videos about things they have no um or they have no knowledge of and obviously you can study things um it's not like you can like I mean I had no knowledge of uh uh poppy playtime before this you can study things but do not jump into nich if you don't deeply understand why an audience is interested in a given subject right um anyway once I understood a few things so I saw these videos going viral uh consistently with the
same format I knew how the videos were getting produced and um I also understand the I the lore behind you know this entire game I started um verifying if there were multiple channels um um doing something similar to to this poy Theory channel uh and succeeding right that's what I what what I was was going to um look into so that's what I did so you know I I I grabbed my next F extension or um I start just started researching and basically I started looking for more channels doing kind of the same thing and
I'm not sure ex what other channels I found because it it has been a couple months but I did saw other kind of like news related channels similar to this um doing pretty well um not sure how old this channel but I saw a bunch of um adjacent niches so that's another really big signal um for example you have this channel called I think it's called f Theory or 5 Nights Freddy Theory um out of the C wait let me see if enough Theory I thought it was a channel yeah this this channel so I
saw this channel as well um start out with a kind of similar style to the poopy playtime Channel and um a cool thing about um about this strategy that I'm about to explain is basically what you're able to do when you start a channel uh and in a niche that that doesn't have much uh competition is that it's kind of hard to confirm or to know if that form format is just the oneoff kind of thing that worked or if that it's a thing that's repeatable or that multiple competitors have been able to repeat that
type of success um and when I first started out in the poy playtime Niche um there weren't many uh competitors so it was kind of hard to confirm if you know um this format consistently worked so I started looking in adjacent Nicha so 59 Freddy uh is also a horror game with a lot of lore so I started looking into Five Nights at Freddy as uh as well and I could find multiple channels uh doing these Theory videos um that were doing super super well so uh once I found this Channel and there were a
couple others um doing you know poppy Theory videos that just recently started so again like we're talking maybe two three months ago or like maybe a month even um and getting hundreds of thousands of views so especially in these type of like gaming low RPM niches You Really Want Crazy volume on your videos are very consistent views uh as a minimum uh when I when I saw that um I was like okay we can go ahead and and execute uh within this Niche and yeah that's what I did so um after I understood all those
things so again just to recap I um I found the initial inspiration Channel I started studying how they made the videos I understood this the the topic deeply um I also um um I also found competitors that were doing the same format also working for them um that's when I I pulled the trigger and I said okay let's go for uh let's go and try out a channel in this Niche uh because again this the entire faceless YouTube business model is about limiting your downside as much as POS possible the cool part about faces YouTube
is that you know it's it's very uh cash flow there's a lot of cash flow that you can generate uh but you want always limit your downside you just don't want to randomly jump into niches without uh some kind of method behind it uh that a method that you can improve over time uh CU if you have a method to or like a checklist maybe uh for when you want to jump into niches that really helps with being more consistent in choosing winners uh and that really helps me stay consistently super profitable as well as
keep my profit margins on fa's YouTube channel super high so for the People by the way who don't know who are just watching this video um I I run like 20 other channels um they're doing like I think last year we did close to 1.1 million in Revenue uh it was kind of a slow year admittedly um I I was planning to do more but I was kind of traveling around the world uh the whole year so I didn't have much time to focus on channels but yeah anyway um this is just one of those
uh you know YouTube channels that I started um so anyway we decided to start um working on the channel now how did we hire the team for this channel right um that's a good question so the way we hired the team was um using Discord so I knew it was going to be tricky to find a writer that deeply understood this uh this community so it it was kind of tough to find a writer so the way we found a writer was actually just through Discord so we went to the poy playtime Discord server and
we went to um I believe a gaming Discord server uh it was and we um were looking for people who were doing like either playing doing role play uh like there's these roleplay gaming Discord servers uh these guys write sometimes entire screen plays um I mean if you look up like screenplay Discord server like gaming roleplay Discord servers sometimes you can find these communities where they're writing like scripts or like screenplay on certain things um and that's where we got the initial writer from um as well as that we we started writing the scripts on
our uh on our own at the start as well um just to see okay where can we get the um where where do we get the the content or the uh Source material from so we were kind of just discovering okay what what were good sources to kind of find good theories um and and what can we link then to Future writers so they can also reproduce our script so usually when you start out a channel um especially if you're a beginner and you have a lot of time on your hands for me it's a
little bit more difficult because I run so many companies um but if especially if you're a beginner try to write the first couple scripts by yourself um and list all the sources that you used so when you hire a writer in the future you can just send them those sources uh and it's way easier for them to write a good script right so um yeah so we started writing our own script and then eventually we found someone through a Discord server um and again another great place to higher is uh homework Discord servers uh you
have a lot of like essay or like uh what's it called um people who do like uh who write like like essays for school U those are usually good and cheap script writers as well uh and obviously you have upw work or Fiverr but especially when you're doing a niche that requires kind of some Insider knowledge you you want to hire as much as possible from um existing communities um right so um if you want to hire from communities um like Discord communities uh or people who already have a lot of knowledge behind the subject
that really makes things much easier because it's easier to just teach them how to good write a good YouTube script and to teach them to be interested in the subject you have a YouTube channel about right so um yeah we we uh hired our uh writer from um the that that Discord server and from there um we started producing so I was sending over um I was sending over and I have to see if I can pull up um pull up some of the examples here we were finding um documentary video editors so we're we
were going into um video editing Discord server I think editors or or Freelancers Paradise is the one where we found let me see this is the one there you go this is the Discord server where we hire the video editor from so basically if you go into this video editor Discord server um you can find just look up video editor Discord server on on Google we went to this Discord server and we um went to there's like a a tab where you can do paid request and that's where we found a documentary um editor from
and that's where kind of the uh and the quality was really good and we paid like uh I think like 40 50 bucks a video for the edits and then for the script it was like 20 uh $20 so so far the to the cost per video was like 60 bucks um and then the voiceover artist was I believe $122 um we just I already had an existing voiceover artist in my team so we just used um that voiceover and then through the uh thumbnail designer this is an interesting story by the way for the
thumbnail designer uh we just went on to Twitter and on Twitter you'll have a lot of people uh designing uh like gaming thumbnails uh and that's where we got the thumbnail designer from uh uh in this Niche uh the initial thumbnail this one I did myself so I this thumbnail um and this was the thumbnail I think yeah this was the thumbnail we let the thumbnail designer uh do so if you look at this thumbnail uh this thumbnail or the composition of this thumbnail was inspired by um Mr BEAST's uh confin or like a what's
it called the solitary confinement room thumbnail uh yeah that's where the composition kind of comes from so yeah for the ideation we just took the trend most trending um topics from the the Reddit Channel and then we just turned them into um YouTube videos and and you can watch the Youtube videos in your own time and after a while we decided like it's kind of a pain as you can see because we were kind of experimenting at the start with this thumbnail so we did this style this style and then we did the black white
style uh and then we just continued on this was like the fern investiga thumbnail we did uh we did another split thumbnail test again and we kind of kept experimenting um and and we kind of got inconsistent results with the views which was kind of frustrating to us so then from there on out eventually we decided all right we see consistently that this um these type of thumbnails so the black and uh uh the black white and red um text thumbnails do the best consistently so we basically removed all the creativity from the thumb thumnails
and we just stick to this format so just the text and then a character on the side doing an interesting composition and and yeah that's basically how we uh go to our distinct uh style that you see um here right so um yeah that's basically from A to Z how we uh ran this channel so I mean if you're interested the RPM is like two bucks and that's also the reason why we stopped uploading I mean um I channels doing 20 30 40 Grand a month and you know running a channel that's maybe like 3
four grand a month is just not worth it uh or or worth your focus so yeah that's the story behind this channel if it was valuable you can follow me on X I post a lot of advice uh there or if you want to you know check out the nexl extension it has a lot of really cool features like being able to uh see views or or RPMs or that's that kind of stuff even audiences and ancient gender of a channel that's pretty cool so uh yeah that's all and thank you very much for watching
cheers
