my name is sebastian jorju and i run and manage a seven-figure agency i'm a full-time youtuber i'm building a custom luxurious home up in scottsdale and i also go to church and read the bible and i hang out with friends and family and i give plenty of attention to my girlfriend as you can imagine my life is pretty busy and if i didn't have a very effective way to keep everything organized and keep everything moving it would be a complete chaotic mess so because i've arrived to this position i've developed a very good strategy of
being very very productive and in this video i'm going to share that strategy with you guys this video will also help if you struggle with procrastination or motivation in general let's just get right into it here are some of my absolute best tips to stay extremely productive and we're going to break them down one by one so we have the pillars of physical health we have purpose and drive we have taming your dopamine levels we have the essential morning routine the power of your environment and then finally softwares and technologies to use if you apply
some of these lifestyle habits i guarantee you that you are going to see some increase in productivity in your own life now to be clear i'm not one of those people that has every single part of their day completely dialed in from 9 45 a.m to 10 30 a.m or anything like that like i have to go to bed by 11 30 p.m like i'm not like that at all every single day for me is different but the general foundation of every day is pretty much the same so let's break down the pillars of health
and this is broken down into three subcategories so you have sleep which is the most important you have food and diet which is the second most important and then you have the third which is like exercising and avoiding substances that slow you down so let's talk about sleep sleep is the fundamental building block to your health if you do not get enough sleep and you're doing everything else right eventually you're going to crash and burn and so you need to figure out exactly how much sleep you need in your life i think most humans need
between six and eight hours and effectively you need to sleep that much every single night but more importantly you need to sleep in a proper environment so going to bed at relatively the same time give or take a couple hours is really important sleeping in a very dark room is very important a room that is around 70 degrees temperature is preferable and also you want to stay away from food and water right before you go to bed and then on top of that you want to stay away from any artificial light the closer you get
to bed as it gets later in the night i actually like candles in my room and i try to keep as many lights off as possible because candlelight doesn't keep you up the same way that artificial light does and that helps me just fall asleep more naturally and get a better night's sleep so that i wake up the next day feeling rested okay so next is the quality of food and this one is pretty simple you want to just eat whole foods so foods that are not processed foods that have one ingredients like eggs meats
you know potatoes corn vegetables chicken beef like all that stuff for me personally it's between like 90 and 95 of my entire diet is foods that are just single ingredient foods now i've noticed that after i get used to this i actually feel much much better my energy is more consistent throughout the entire day i'm able to be much more productive and make way more decisions before i get burnt out every single day i'm able to sleep better i'm able to exercise better i'm stronger i think faster i remember better it really does help a
lot and then if i go like travel for example you know i start eating processed foods for a couple of weeks i notice how sluggish i am and how like flogging my brain is and i immediately notice the effects it's like it really is that drastic and after you get that down if you smoke or drink a lot or do like smoked nicotine a lot i would recommend just trying to get rid of all those as well you know weed is not going to make you more productive no matter what you say alcohol is terrible
for you and it's bad for your brain it damages your brain it damages your organs and it slows you down it's literally poison so like you probably want to get rid of that if you're trying to be as productive as possible okay so those are the pillars to physical health and there's much more that goes into it but i think those three alone have like 80 to maybe 85 percent of the overall weight and like health so if you can get those three things down you're in a really really solid spot next we have purpose
and drive and arguably this is probably one of the most important things when it comes to productivity and motivation and the reason is because if you want to be productive you need to have a clear goal in mind right you need to answer the question why am i trying to be productive like if you're being so hard on yourself and you're like why can't i work why can't i work why can't it be productive why can't i start a shopify store or do whatever the case is if you ask yourself why you can't do it
you need to ask yourself why are you trying to do it anyway you need to identify a purpose or a goal that you're going for and in my opinion the goal needs to be something a little bit more than just like i want to buy a lamborghini it needs to mean something to you and the more that it means to you the more drive the more motivation you're going to have and the more willing you are going to be to want to work and believe it or not a lot of people actually dm me and
ask me how do i have more like how do i get motivation how do you stay motivated like i have no motivation and i'm broke and i'm like okay well what's your purpose what's your goal well i want to be wealthy okay everyone wants to be wealthy but like you need to have a clear idea of where you are going if you don't know where you're going and you don't know where you're at how can you possibly expect to get to that goal do you expect it to just happen randomly like you just like i'm
gonna just walk around this forest and you know i'm randomly gonna find like the oasis like no you need to know exactly where you're going if you want to get there before you die right so that's the point for me personally it's about my family you know i'm getting older now and i want to have a family i want to have a lot of kids i want to reform the education system and these things are going to cost a lot of money because i want to i want to have a lot of kids i want
to have a few houses i want to be able to go from house to house as i please and so i know that i have big goals i know where i want to go i know exactly what my life should look like in the next 10 years and what i want to do and it requires me to have a lot of money so that's why i'm working so hard now but the point of all that is that i know what i want also unfortunately this video is sponsored by notion which is the main productivity app
that i use so we're going to get into that at the end of the video and i'm actually going to give you guys a tour through my notion so you can see how i break down and how i manage all the things that i manage next up we have tame your dopamine okay so this is something that's also very very important so please pay attention and maybe take some notes in the world we live in today or at least in the western society a lot of people are very very addicted to dopamine and we get
so much of it way more than we have ever gotten before so our tolerance to it is much higher we're used to it and so if we do not get it we seek it out much faster and in much greater amounts therefore when we do boring things that don't offer us as much dopamine such as reading a book or cleaning or making your better doing laundry or working on a business it's very very hard because it doesn't offer the same amount of dopamine as sitting down and going through tick-tock which offers a load of dopamine
and is very easy to do so you know you have both of these combined it's very easy to just fall into that trap or playing video games like it's very easy to play video games and you get way more dopamine so your brain's like hey do this don't do that so my point is it gets very boring to do the mundane things okay so sebastian what do you do you need to identify the areas of your life where you're getting the unhealthy dopamine so a very good examples will be like video games we'll be like
eating a lot of sugary and foods and drinks like sodas and sugary stuff all the time pornography is like absolutely terrible and social media of course social media is one of the worst ones that is out there and this obviously depends case by case but if you can identify something in your own life that's unique then write it down so now that you have all those identified you want to slowly turn down the dial on how much you consume of these things most of you guys probably have heard of like the dopamine detox which is
like where you pick three days and you just remove all of it all at once for three days but my preference would be to just turn it down and and get used to it and build a habit of living life with these dials turned down lower and lower and lower i think if you do it this way you have more control over it and it will be much easier over time and this leads perfectly into the next one which is the essential routine so there's a million different morning routines out there that you guys have
all seen and people say you need to take cold showers or meditate or read every morning to become a millionaire and obviously none of that's true but it is true that having a routine greatly increases your productivity and your workflow because you can't just be doing random things every single day and expect to like move and make a lot of decisions and progress a lot every single day for the most part i think that it's best to just have like a block by block schedule for example for me i don't like to work as soon
as i wake up so i take like 30 to 60 minutes to just kind of sit in bed or just like go outside or read a little bit and just not really use my brain and just let myself wake up that's my preference and then after that like once i'm alert and turned on i can work for about two to three hours and then i work for two three hours and then i get hungry i have my first meal of the day that's kind of how it works and my brain gets used to it and
it becomes easy to work and go to the gym and stuff because i get so excited about having food after it works out pretty well and one last thing i want to mention about having routine and why it's important is because eventually if you do these things long enough they become a habit so if you work for a couple hours every day in the morning and then have your breakfast for 30 days in a row you make it a habit and that's kind of how you have to do this like you can't rely on motivation
motivation will eventually run out but you have to rely on habits and discipline now the next thing i have is the power of environment now this one is significantly less important than all the other ones but if you're doing everything else right then this could be something to help boost you as well and i found it that i'm a lot more productive in an environment in which i'm inspired for example like when i went to seattle this one time i went and stayed at this massive hotel and it just had like this great grand like
dome type thing and like a huge christmas tree and like a restaurant and it was late at night and there was like just a few people there and there's like multiple stories and stuff and i remember how grand it was and there was just like chairs and tables in the center and i would just get on my computer there and i was just able to be so productive because like i was just so inspired by the environment i think if you could switch up your environment that's really good and a second side to this coin
is you don't want to be around like negative people you don't want to be around noise for example when i lived with my mom she had a lot of people in the house and they were always talking and they were always asking me to do stuff and i wasn't able to really like get in the zone which i think is really important because if you get focused you you don't want to be distracted so say you live with your parents and you're not able to like move out and have a really cool inspiration or travel
or whatever maybe just go to like a free place like a library is a great place i used to work at hotel lobbies are really really good coffee shops are obviously free to go to and you can go to those but just like any spot like be creative you can go to restaurants you can go to a bunch of different spots and i find it really helpful so now i'm going to talk about the softwares and technology now the first thing i want to mention is your phone it would be best to keep your phone
in a separate room if you're trying to get like two to three hours of work and i think the best way to do it is to be like okay i'm gonna work for an hour or 90 minutes i'm gonna keep my phone in this room on do not disturb so i don't get any notifications at all and then i'm gonna work for 90 minutes then i'm gonna go check my phone and be on it for 20 minutes and then i'm gonna do it again so you can kind of block it off i think that's a
really effective way to go about it regarding your phone because your phone can be very very distracting now let's talk about softwares the first one i'm going to talk about is whatsapp i use whatsapp for basically all communication for all forms of business agency clients youtube employees everything is done through whatsapp like partnerships and then when it comes to like other things in gmail i use gmail and i label all my emails by different categories that they're in so like this is for the house you know this is for youtube these are sponsors that want
to work with me et cetera et cetera and since i'm able to label all of these out it makes it very very easy for me to just go through them and get to things very quickly and now i want to talk about notion so notion again is the sponsor of this video and i was actually very very excited to work with notion because i had been using them for months and months and months and i absolutely love notion like i would rave about this crm to my friends i got my employees at the agency to
get on it we basically moved all operations to notion within our agency and we did all of this before they ever reached out to me so like i truly am a customer of their product and their product is so good so what is notion so notion is basically like the god of crms you can essentially create any version of any crm that you want you could use calendars in there you can use tables you can use to do lists toggle menus everything and there's so many ways to play around with it it's basically a sandbox
you're not restricted or confined to their software in any way and you can set it up with notifications i think you can use zaps with notion as well so that when something is completed you get an email like it's absolutely crazy so i'm gonna dive into my computer right now and i'm gonna show you exactly how i use it okay so this is my notion and as you can see we are in the script for this video so as you can see i have potential titles potential thumbnail ideas rising and you know the basically the
structure of the video and you can see like the rising action of the video i talk about this this is actually literally the script for the video and the climax i have this basically what i was doing when i was coming up with this video is i was sitting down and i was thinking about everything that i wanted to say and i was on my phone on notion and i was just on the microphone i was like okay talk about dopamine and how you have to taper dopamine levels and turn down the dial and all
this was just automatically getting posted in here and now as i'm filming this video i can just click on the super easy refer back to my notes and talk about it in the video but this is just like this is just one part of it look how cool this is so if i go to video management i have all of my videos here and so for example how i say 98 percent productive every single day that's the video that we are filming now i can open this right here and this is a template so there's
plenty of templates that are available that notion provides you can download others but this is my template right here so for example when i open this up i can scroll down and you can see all this comes with the template so anytime i create a new block for example if i were to click this plus i would create like a new column right here but when i click on this i have all this stuff so i have title ideas keywords i just do it all within the script to keep it in one place but another
thing that's cool is i have like the video style here the status of the video so it was an idea we could just put pending filming because i'm currently filming it film date published a budget sponsor uh everything like that and then i have like the thumbnails i want to use i have video editing right here along with links to the videos and how long it took to edit and if i paid for it or not you know i have split tests i have a perfect script which is just research so i can go into
this and basically what this is when i started taking youtube more seriously i went and i analyzed my top videos and i comprised it into a perfect viral script for videos and then i have also like things to deal with for example and i could just put like what's the issue what's the last update on it any two dues on me important information that i need so it's just so like i can keep so much information in one place and so organized i have my notion for my personal assistant here who goes through all my
emails who manages all of my network and everything else and she you know logs her own hours there i have a notion for the person that helps with my thumbnails the person that helps with my youtube ideas the person that helps with everything have the notion for my agency so this is an example for an audit that we create for every single client that wants to work with digital wealth and b or my marketing agency and so we'll populate this and tailor it to every single client so like their competitors their kpis prior google ads
a summary of their account based on our experiences and then we have like website optimizations account reviews so again this will be text account strategy so in here we'll put like what we'll do for each campaign for their per you know for their specific account and then usually we'll embed a loom video uh describing everything so that they can see it and watch it and understand it in real time and there's also a calendar at the bottom as well so they can schedule like their kickoff call or a different call if they want to talk
to nate about anything and so that's all just in this little audit here and we just duplicate it and send it we also manage our employees in hr and yeah it's just it's so easy like i could click through this entire thing in a matter of seconds and get relevant information and keep all of my information about all my businesses in one spot at one time so notion is the best so thank you so much for notion they've changed my life and i know it can also change the lives of a lot of people that
watch me so like i said very glad to take that sponsorship and and yeah shout out to notion that being said guys i really hope that this video helped you out in some way shape or form if it did subscribe like the video and i will see you all in the next one peace
