And that day my whole world changed. 6 months later you got a job in Sydney. I didn't even need to think.
I quit my job in Brisbane, packed my bags and followed you because I couldn't lose you. That was the first big decision I made with my heart. And to this day, I have never regretted it.
In March 2019, we moved in together. A tiny apartment, a simple life, but it was ours. We learned how to live together, how to fight, forgive, grow, love under one roof.
There were challenges of course but we faced them together and always together. Then came on our first international trip to Bali. It was your birthday.
I still remember how your eyes sparkled seeing the ocean, the sunsets. Since then we have explored the world together. Japan, Thailand, Korea, India, Singapore, Fiji and now we are here in Maldives.
Every country we visited, we didn't just traveled. We lived, we laughed, we loved. And in every city, every beach, every mountain, we built memories, dreams, a life filled with stories, laughter, and love.
And slowly, one by one, we made dreams come true. But it wasn't always sunshine. At the end of 2019, I left my job to chase my dream to become a photographer.
You stood by me. You helped me to build a business from scratch. But then co hit.
And just like that, everything crumbled. I lost everything I had built. I felt like I had failed you.
But you, you never gave up on me. You never gave up on us. By the end of 2020, we were content creators.
We didn't plan it. We just kept being ourselves. Even when the hate came upon us, when people judged us, people doubted us, people criticized us.
We held each other and we fighted because the only validation we needed is each other. Then came 2021, a year that nearly broke me and us. I went through five surgeries, couldn't walk, couldn't work, and still you stayed.
You held my hand when I was in pain. You wiped my tears, became my nurse, my best friend, my strength. And just when I thought I couldn't take anymore, I lost my mom.
I couldn't even say goodbye because I was stuck in Australia while my whole family grieved back home. I was angry. I was broken.
I was numb. But you, you never let go of me. You held me through darkest nights.
You believed in me when I couldn't recognize myself in the mirror. You helped me become a man again, a stronger man. From those ashes, we rebuilt.
We hustled day and night. We created, worked, laughed, fought, and dreamed. We turned our pain into passion.
Struggle into stories, failures into few. Carrie, our journey has been a roller coaster ride. And you know how much I hate roller coasters.
But but you made me brave because of you beside with me. I'm ready for any twist, any drops and any storms. And now after 7 and 1/2 years after being friends, lovers, business partners, teammate and soulmates, I want to take the next step.
