Video Transcript:
good evening I would like to update you this evening with a shared campaign of the IDF and the GSS itai FY the hostage body was retrieved from the gaza's trip to Israel itai was taken hostage on the 7th of October from B from his parents home and his parents were murdered he was alive when he was taken hostage he was kept with Yosi shabi and Noah alamani for four months in January we updated everyone that they were murdered in a campaign and I'm afraid I cannot expand on this campaign in order to not endanger them
we notifi their family and we extend our condolences to them and embrace them today we presented to the family of the hostager the investigative inquiry results of Y bab Alex danig Abraham mundel yoram mitel K Perry and nadav Powells the inquiry after all the pathological tests and this very deep inquiry only after they were approved by the minister of defense and the chief of general staff aaham Alex yev nadav they were truly the salt of the earth they were the elderly from that area they were hostage with 72 members of the kibuts a third of
that kibot were murdered or taken hostage and yev and nadav were taken from another kib Nim there were nine members who were killed in the October the 7th attack we met with their family today there are no words that I can describe in order to describe that pain and sorrow and we are with the communities of those Kim who are waiting for the return of their dearly beloved who were taken hostage and kept in horrific conditions in the Gaza on the morning of the 7th of October Alex Abraham yor were taken hostage and kept for
months in an underground tunnel in kanun yes we exposed that in the past it was planned as an imprisonment incarceration center with a tiny little bathroom and kitchenet but during December the IDF went into canun and based on the evaluations these six hostages were then moved to another tunnel about 4 km from the Hamed neighborhood which was a Qatar neighborhood and as you can see in the documentation here this is a Transit tunnel that was not planned it was 100 met on for extensive stay and you can see on one hand you've got a sort
of iron door and you've got sand a person could not stand up in it and the actual width was only that of a little mattress that were no conditions for human beings to be kept there we have shown in that film what we located there we found arms kalachnikov a tiny little kind of kitchenet that they prepared some preserves and bags with various forms of warfare the terrorists the Hamas terrorists s them hostage in the most horrific of conditions we're talking about people that were over 80 years old people who were sick they never gave
them any of they they never met any of their medical requirements and needs and they had they actually continued surviving under those terrible conditions on the February the 14th they the IDF struck at that area during that time the IDF had no knowledge or intelligence VIs V the actual area that they were kept being kept in the hostages at the distance between where they were being kept was about 120 or 200 MERS between where they stru where the IDF actually made that strike but based on the intelligence that we were given their bodies were retrieved
and brought back to Israel beside them there were six bodies of Hamas with gunshot WS the hostages had gunshot wounds but the six um Hamas terrorists did not have gunshot wounds on them so there were various possibilities that we were actually inquiring investigating we believe that because of the air strike the terrorists murdered the hostages there was another possibility it's very possible that as an after effect of the strike they were killed but the hostages could very possibly after having survived have been killed by additional Hamas terrorists it is possible that the investigation and it
determined that this was less reasonable because of the length of time until the investigation in the pathological um lab one could not unequivocally determine whether they were died because of gunshot wounds or was it because of the strike but they have determined that they were murdered by the terrorists and then the terrorists died following what we have learned from the investigative inquiry we have actually um made these decisions about the various um strikes of the IDF much more strict so we have made decisions after that we should have brought them home but we failed in
our mission so we have decided on different directives in the future we are making every possible event to bring all the hostages those who are alive and those bodies that are still there we want to retrieve them all the cruel Mass terrorists who took hostage um children elderly people adults and kept them in Cruel inhuman conditions and shot them when they were unarmed and in such conditions we know that those hundred hostages who are still being heed in captivity dozens of them are still alive in these terrible conditions some of them need truly medical treatment
it is our moral our moral duty to bring them home it's incumbent upon the us to bring them home we must bring them home with every effort possible you have EV from 12 news in the light of all the recent news what do you actually say to the families of the hostages who claim that only a deal would be able to bring them home we are doing everything possible to create a first class IDF um Intel picture but we also said in the past as well we we do will not be able in some kind
of military campaign to bring them all home so we've got to create conditions in every possible way if you're talking about other issues that you mentioned the IDF is not hiding any any information from the political echelons everything is completely open to them this document that you are mentioning was accessible to the people that were in the no and to the and to the prime minister's offer this document was transferred to a newspaper in Germany in a way that was in sort of overtook one can say perhaps the the Intel and the sensor and this
is very very dangerous because it will create a situation if that specific law that you're now talking about will be passed then because any IDF person can actually retrieve any intelligence and it's very simple to do and they will bring about a situation where human lives and our combatants lives could be endangered so it is endangering the security of the state of Israel and of course the IDF soldiers from KH 11
