I believe that we should all be millionaires I want to break down why I believe this and how can we do it I could have never imagined growing a business that makes over $10 million but it is possible I had to figure it out myself and I did and it worked and so now I have created a blueprint that I have taken literally thousands of clients through no one is coming to save us I think that has been made quite clear how about we save ourselves let me give you the blueprint for becoming a millionaire you want to make more money you are in the right place welcome to the hello 7 podcast that's seven as in seven figures I'm your host Rachel Rogers welcome back to another episode of the hello 7 podcast I am your host Rachel Rogers and I am delighted to be here with you today and I'm wearing my favorite bananas sweatshirt so that means this episode is going to be what bananas so today we're digging into why why we should all be millionaires I believe that we should all be millionaires and I believe it so much that I literally wrote a book about it called we should all be millionaires and so today I want to break down why I believe this and how can we do it what is the pathway what is the blueprint for becoming a millionaire then we're going to wrap things up with real life stories of financial transformation I'm going to share some of the stories of my clients who have gone from struggling and stressed and not making enough to millionaires after following the blueprint that I'm going to give you today so you won't just hear a set of ideas or a pathway but you'll have proof that it actually works are you ready to get started let's do this I want to actually start by talking about what's in your mind right um millionaire mindset comes first that's why the first chapter of my book is called million dooll story because it's all about identifying what is the story that you're telling yourself that could be preventing you from becoming a millionaire it could be preventing you from having the Financial Freedom that you want and the lifestyle that you want we can have all kinds of crappy stories operating in our head and sometimes in the background we don't even notice for example we might think that becoming a millionaire is only for certain types of people and that it's not actually possible for you because you don't fit that type um we might also think that wanting a million dollars is greedy and that wanting wealth or wanting to earn more money is only for greedy people and we don't want to be greedy another misconception about money and potentially becoming a millionaire is that making money is hard we believe that making money is incredibly difficult and we make up these stories about how hard it is and so therefore we don't even try we talk ourselves out of it before we even attempt it so do you identify with any of those stories have you ever told yourself that if you have those are some of the things that are getting in the way it all starts with mindset so you have to be honest with yourself if you want to be a millionaire you got to be honest and say this is what I want and I want you to understand that this is not about greediness this is not about only certain types of people can become mil Millionaires and maybe that's true the only types of people who become millionaires are people who decide that they want to do that unless you inherited money unless you're you were born into money right the only way you're going to get money is to decide that you want it and to put the work in to make it happen so if you are the type of person who has decided or who wants to decide that they want to be a millionaire then you are the type of person that can become a millionaire and here's the thing I want you to know most of all becoming a millionaire is not about the money the money is a tool the money is something that we pull out of our toolbox or a tool belt that allows us to go get the things that we actually want the money isn't the end goal right you're not going to swim through money like Scrooge McDuck nobody wants to do that in real life what we actually want is a nicer home what we actually want is to send our kids to amazing schools what we actually want is to go on nice vacations with our families right what we want are relatively simple things um we might want to you know experience the Finer Things in life we might want to travel uh we might want to use that money to help others right we might want to you know provide for our own education or be able to invest in our own health and wellness money is about giving you options okay and so think about what are those things that you want what are those options that you want to have in life maybe you're working a job right now that you don't love and if you had the option to leave you would but you can't afford it and so if you understand the millionaire blueprint and you understand how to make money whenever you want then you have the option to leave that job if you no longer want to be there what if you secretly always wanted to become an artist and if you had the option to if you didn't have to worry about paying bills you would pursue your Artistry well you could find a way and I'm going to teach you in just a moment on how to build wealth how to make money on your own outside of a 9-to-5 and that would enable you to pursue your art or maybe you're living somewhere you wish you weren't or maybe you're dealing with situations you wish you weren't and money could change the game for you money would make things possible that currently aren't possible so that's what money is about it's about who you love and taking care of them including yourself right it's about health it's about peace it's about Joy it's about all the good things that you want in life and that's what money can help you achieve right so money in itself isn't the end goal it's about what money can provide for us you know and so and I know people say money doesn't buy happiness that is 100% correct money does not buy happiness but money can buy a lot of things that can put you in a position to be happy for example money can buy therapy okay therapy has done a lot to bring more joy into my life okay I have to tell you money can buy travel experiences money can buy more time with family so you don't have to work as much right um money can buy all kinds of things that can make you happy so please understand that yes money in itself cannot buy happiness but money can definitely get you closer to happiness and I will tell you I have been poor and I have been wealthy and I choose wealth I find I find wealth to be better and more fun let's talk about the importance of Building Wealth for historically excluded communities Empower people with disabilities basically everyone who has been on the margins and by Society right everyone who has been on the margins of society everyone who has not been handed opportunity or for whom opportunity has been extremely challenging to acquire historically um these are folks who are historically and systemically kept from wealth okay so understand that if that is your identity or maybe you have more than one of those identities that we just that I just mentioned then you are probably somebody that would struggle to get a loan that would pay more for a mortgage or a loan than for example a straight white man would um you are somebody who literally the systems that are created in our society have been built in such a way to prevent you from Building Wealth okay that that is just a fact and it's what's true and there's a whole chapter about it in my book okay even I'll give you an example uh women couldn't have credit cards until the 70s okay so women could not have a credit card in their name until less than 50 years ago isn't that absolutely bananas so that's just one example another example is redlining which was a process in real estate that prevented black people from becoming homeowners and so it goes on and on and on there are so many examples like that in our American government specifically but it's true in other places as well and so that is why some of us do not have wealth that's why our parents didn't have it and that's why we don't have it because literally Society is built in a way that doesn't make it easy for us to get it and in fact puts lots of different Boulders and joggernauts in our way but for us in historically excluded communities it is even more important that we commit to Building Wealth we're not just doing this for ourselves we're not just doing it for our children we're doing it for our greater communities right for the Next Generation so that if you are Building Wealth then you are massing wealth that you could use to benefit the causes that you care about the communities that you care about so you can make your life better you can make your children's lives better um and then you can make many people from your community's lives better as well so that is what is possible no one is coming to save us I think that has been made quite clear okay so since no one's going to come save us how how about we save ourselves how about we save ourselves and not only ourselves but our families and our greater communities as well that is what is possible and if I could be an example for that I have built my business um that has led to a lot of success for me but I've built it around helping other uh entrepreneurs and people who want to become entrepreneurs from historically excluded communities and that business has allowed me to also create a foundation and so my nonprofit my Foundation has been able to provide money for black women who need a doula in the room with them when they are giving birth or provide child care for women in need we have also been able able to provide scholarships and grant money to um entrepreneurs from historically excluded communities and we did something really cool through our foundation we built the very first birth center on the island of Puerto Rico that is the kind of stuff that is possible so not only can you take care of yourself but you can make life better for other people too and so being wealthy is actually pretty cool because the more wealth you have the more generous you get to be so I hope that I have convinced you that you should become a millionaire and if you're now convinced how about I tell you how to do it so one of the first things that you're going to have to overcome is this idea that you're not good enough right that you aren't worthy that your ideas or your creativity are not enough that that is nonsense my friend and I'm going to need you to get over that with the quickness okay you got to understand your value and step fully into your value in order to become a millionaire so I want you to start shifting your thinking um into thinking that you are worthy you are good enough and that the skill set you have right now that those skills and talents and strengths can be turned into a million dollars the next thing I need you to do is start thinking big okay think bigger don't think how can I make another $1,000 think how can I make another $100,000 or million dollar okay so do not be afraid to dream do not talk yourself out of your dreams before you even have the dream right you tell yourself no no no I don't even allow my brain to go there I'm GNA need you to allow yourself to go there okay trust and believe in your dreams because they are absolutely possible I also want you to overcome your fear of money stop being afraid of money stop thinking that money is a bad thing or that you're not good with money or that you couldn't possibly understand money of course you can right being good with money is a skill and you can learn that skill just like you could learn any other skill so you are capable of being good with money you are worthy of having money and you are capable of managing your money well so start believing that and just push away this fear of having money sometimes we think all these bad things are going to happen to us if we have money we're going to we think people will stop talking to us no one will want to be our friend you know we won't have genuine relationships it will it will be all about the money if that happens stop making up stories okay stop making up sad stories about all the terrible things that are going to happen if you get your dreams how about your dream happens and only good things happen how about you focus on that and if bad things happen guess what you'll be able to handle it you don't need to mentally prepare for that story right mentally prepare for the joy and the excitement of becoming a millionaire instead the last mindset shift that I want you to make is understand the importance of investing in yourself you're not going to become a millionaire for free okay and that doesn't mean you need to spend all this money I'm about to give you the blueprint for free and you can get this book for 20 bucks okay and has even more details about how to become a millionaire so it's not that it's about investing money investing time investing energy right that's what you have to put in if you want to become a millionaire so you might have to stop watching Netflix you might have to give up some of your hobbies temporarily so that you could focus on building a business for example um you may have to invest in hiring some help hiring someone to help you become the entrepreneur you want to become or hiring someone else to help you in your actual business right um You may need to take a course or do training or hire a lawyer right like you might have to invest some money in fact not might you will definitely have to invest some money to become a successful entrepreneur and understand that it is actually an investment you're going to put money in and then you're going to get money back out that's how assets work that's what happens when you are investing in an asset like building a business in or you know instead of investing in for example buying cute clothes like cute clothes are great but it doesn't necessarily make you more money right it doesn't necessarily appreciate in value typically close depreciate in value which means they're not assets okay so I want you to shift your thinking into someone who is ready willing and able to invest their time their energy and or their money in order to make your dream happen if you really believe in your dream then you do have to put your time down for it you got to put your energy behind it you got and you got to put some money behind it as well okay let me give you the blueprint for becoming a millionaire and no this is not a get-rich quick scheme no this is not nonsense yes this is real yes is the is the exact process that I took for myself and yes this is the process that I have taken many of my clients through successfully okay so let's start with step one you're going to assess your greatest asset guess what your greatest asset is it you okay you are your greatest asset my friend and so you need to do an assessment of this asset and find out how you can extract value from this asset so how do you assess this asset right how do you figure out where the value is at in the asset that is you the way that you do that is personality assessments so I want you to go take the strength finders test I want you to take Colby I want you to take disc I want you to take Meyers bricks okay um you can also do inogram you can also look up your astrological sign right really research yourself okay all of these assessments are going to help you understand what your natural talents and gifts are right how you like to work right what kinds of work you are typically drawn to they'll tell you more about your personality and how you operate and how you tend to think that is going to help you figure out what kind of asset you can create from the asset that is you and some of these tests are going to cost you some money like strength finders last time I checked is about $35 spend the $35 get your full strength finders report because it's going to give you so much data on who you are and that data is going to help you now in additional personality test you could also look back at your resume look back at your work experience look back at your life experience you're doing a holistic assessment right with you're looking at your skills and how you like to work in your personality and then you're also going to look at your work experience education right what do you know how to do from from the experiences that you have in work and school and then you're also going to look at your life right maybe you have children and so you're parents right maybe you've had um a leadership role at your church maybe you've been divorced and so that's an experience you've had right so maybe you have ADHD and so you have experience operating with ADHD right so look at your life experience your work experience and then you're going to do these personality assessments and really dig in to you right do a full deep dive on yourself okay now that you've done all of these assessments what you supposed to do with it well let's move on to step two so in step two what I want you to do is notice differ right when you take various different uh personality assessments what's jumping out at you right what keeps coming up over and over again in each of these assessments as you're looking at your work experience what are some of the patterns you notice what kind of work did you really enjoy and what kind of work did you hate when you look at your life experience what jumps out at you what are you passionate about um what do you care about what do you wish you never had to do right just taking a look at all of that information and then notice the patterns that are there and notice what's coming up for you and what you might discover is like oh I've always wanted to do this particular type of thing or I've always been drawn to this particular type of work so I want you to take all the information that you have and use it to come up with an offer so you're going to take all this information and come up with a service or product that you can deliver to others using your natural talents and skills and here's a tip I really want you to focus the offer on your talents notice I'm not saying go see what industries are hot right now and create an offer around that and there's a reason why I'm not saying that because typically the offers that are out there that are hot right now are not aligned with your natural skill set and if you are trying to become a millionaire trust me this is not going to work when you try to tap into a hot industry that you have no passion for no interest in and your workstyle or your talents do not align with it what's going to happen is you're going to Peter out you're going to quit before you ever get to a million dollars so instead of chasing what's hot I want you to chase what is exciting for you what's hot for you right what are you hype about what's the work that you would love to jump out of bed and do every single day right and I want you to create an offer around that so if you notice the patterns that you are a people person you love being with other people you love teaching other people you love being in front of a room full of people um you love to socialize and engage you love connecting people for example then if that's what comes up over and over again then you might think about what kind of offers could you create around connecting others or around teaching maybe you become a public speaker um maybe you start your own podcast right and that's something that you would really love to do uh maybe you become some kind of broker where you connect buyers and sellers um so anything that would have you connecting with people all day long might be the kind of offer that you want to do and of course you're going to use all of this information to really narrow it down so that you can get clear on what kind of service or offer you want to create and the other thing I want to say about this too is trust your instincts you don't need 12,000 people to validate what you want to create just get excited and get focused right the things that make you light up that makes your heart sing the things that get you hype when you're excited about an idea that is enough that is enough fuel to get going okay you're just trying to get started here we don't have to build the pyramids in Egypt overnight okay we're just getting the first bricks laid that's all we're doing here now in step three I want you to think about an ideal client think about a person who would benefit from the service or product that you just created in the last step right the one that you came up with maybe you didn't even create it yet but who needs it right who needs that service um for example one of my clients is a dating coach he is a black game man and happily married with adorable beautiful children and he is a dating coach specifically for women and he guides women and coaches women as they're engaging in relationships through dating apps or in other ways and gives them guidance to find their right partner and he has matched so many of his clients with their person and watched so many weddings happen as a result so he is the type of person that loves to be a connector and he also loves to pour into people and help them understand their value and help them understand how to build relationships how to be in relationship and so that skill set has allowed him to take his skills and offer it for women who might want a male perspective on the way that are approaching dating so that is one example so you are looking for an ideal client that will experience a transformation from your offer that needs what your offer provides that would be enjoyable for you to work with and has the ability to pay you yes that is a requirement remember we're here to make money so if the ideal client that you want to work with cannot afford to pay you then that is not your ideal client your ideal client can afford to pay you so make sure that you're choosing an ideal client that is willing and able to pay for your service or product now it's time to price your new offer and dare I say it's a million dooll offer so the way you're going to price your offer is based on value not on time so if you are helping someone with a web design and it would take you 5 hours to complete the design and you charge $50 an hour that would be $250 for the website design right but but let's say you get better and better at creating websites the longer you are a designer then it would only take you two hours maybe to do a website and now you're making less money you see how that works if you only charged if you charged hourly and only had to work two hours to complete the work now you're only making a hundred bucks that doesn't make sense when you get better at a certain thing um you should be paid more for it not less so hourly is not the way to go you want a price based on value what is the end result that your ideal client is going to get what is that transformation they're going to experience from your service or product and what is the value of that transformation to that person that's what's going to help you understand how to price your services okay so let's go back to the website design the person who's hiring you doesn't care how long it's going to take you okay they're not really thinking about the five hours you're going to work they're thinking about once I get this new website I can launch my new thing into the world and I can share the work that I want to do with everyone and it's going to enable me to make money as a business owner right so how much money well the website can almost operate as a salesperson and bring in clients and help more people learn about the service or product that that person might offer right and so that has a significant amount of value think about it if someone was running a million-dollar business and their website was responsible for bringing half of that money in that's $500,000 of value are you going to charge 250 bucks to bring in $500,000 of value to someone's business I hope not think you could charge a lot more how about $5,000 $10,000 I have actually paid as much as $50,000 for a new website for my business because that's how valuable it is to me so if you understand the value then you will understand that something is worth $50,000 instead of $250 okay let me tell you that lesson alone you owe me money now [Laughter] okay in step one you've assessed your greatest asset you okay and then in step two you've taken all that data from assessing yourself and discovered what the service or product that you would like to offer is and then in step three we figured out who is your ideal client and in step four we've come up with a price okay now we are ready to announce this offer to the world now we're ready to get out there and get some clients so how are you going to go about doing this do you have to have a massive Instagram following do you have to have a YouTube channel with 1 million followers do you have to know the editor of Forbes and the CEO of Nike no you do not all you have to do is reach out to the people you already know you already know at least a 100 people a 100 people know like and trust you and while they may not be your ideal client they may know who your ideal client is they may have friends or neighbors or cousins who are your ideal clients and so what you're going to do is create a list of 100 people you know whether they are your neighbors your aunties your friends your former classmates your current co-workers literally professors that you've worked with everybody that you know that you can email them or get their contact information and reach out okay so 100 people who already know who you are and here's what you're going to do you're going to write an announcement that says hey I've created this new product or this new service here's what it is here's how it can help and here's who it's for and you're going to be specific about the problem that it solves that's what you're going to include in the announcement and then you're going to make two asks you're going to request two specific things one you are going to ask them to hire you you're going to say if you need this product or you need this service please hire me I'd love to work with you and help you solve this problem right and then if you are not a person that needs this product or service please go to option two and in option two what do we want them to do we want them to share it please share it with someone who would benefit from my products or Services okay that's what you're going to ask you're going to ask them to hire you or you're going to ask them to share about your business with other people they might know and that is how you're going to get your first few clients just your willingness remember I said you're going to have to put your energy behind it right you're going to have to take a little bit of a risk it might feel a little uncomfortable but announcing your product product or service announcing this new business that you're creating to the world right and your world being a hundred people who know you um they are going to be supportive okay now there might be some people who are like who do you think you are and guess what you take them off your list and you don't talk to them anymore about your business and then you continue to focus on the people who are like yay that's so exciting I actually do know someone okay why am I telling you to do this because this is literally how I started my business okay it works now the last step is Step six where you get those clients after you do that announcement and you might have one two or three couple clients come in and you start working with those clients and start serving them and it grows from there okay that is how you get the party started that is the blueprint for becoming a millionaire and that is the step-by-step process where you if you don't have resources if you don't have a network if you don't have cash in the bank if you don't have the things that you think you need if you don't have business knowledge or education just following those steps is enough to start generating revenue for yourself and it'll start out as a little and then it'll get bigger and bigger and bigger as you keep going when I started my business I wanted to make $41,000 a year that's how much money I needed to replace my former salary and I did 60 Grand in the first year so I blew that number out of the water and then several years later here I sit running an eight fig business I could have never imagined growing a business that makes over10 million back when I started but it is possible I promise you but you have to begin so that is your blueprint for getting started now if you're feeling skeptical I want to share a couple quick stories with you first I want to tell you about my client Rosen she came to me as a solo lawyer okay so she became a lawyer and she was working on her own she had her own practice and she was working with clients and she was working around the clock she was working so much that she was actually worrying me um because she was overworking so much um because she wanted to be successful and she wanted to grow her business because she wasn't making as much money as she wanted to be making she was making low six figures at the time and then she joined my Mastermind we worked together for some time she started building her team um she started relying on more help she started working less and through rosen's hard work and following this blueprint she became a millionaire and now she is running a multi-million dollar law practice and absolutely crushing it okay um and also just giving back and serving in her community in so many beautiful ways and that's Rosen she's a badass then then we have Rey Rey is a client of mine that came to me when they were ready to start their therapy practice and so they created a therapy practice specifically for people who wanted to transition and um serving the queer community and just doing really beautiful important work and they were just getting started so they didn't have a lot of clients and they didn't have a lot of money but they joined my Mastermind and a we worked together for almost two years I would say and Ry now has a million dooll therapy practice with several other therapists working with them and serving folks who are vulnerable and in need and and need more support okay and so they've built a whole practice around specifically helping people go through transition and it is really really beautiful so not only is Ry giving back in a beautiful way but Ry is making bank and then lastly I want to tell you about my client Nicole Nicole was working a corporate job in uh Finance um she was either a bookkeeper or doing something real some some kind of financial work for a company okay making $660,000 a year she had a really long commute every day where she had to drive an hour and a half every single day to get to work and that meant a lot of time away from her children especially her son who has autism and she wanted to spend more time with him and she wanted to be there when he was experiencing his therapies but she couldn't be there because her commute was so incredibly long well Nicole joined our program and she worked with us for several years as well she's still working with us actually to this day and within a year she was able to quit her job job and made over $200,000 and so she was able to work from home she was working way less and she was able to be there with her son when he was getting his therapies and just spend more time with him now she's working towards becoming a millionaire and building a million dooll business and what did Nicole create she created a bookkeeping service specifically for entrepreneurs who struggle with the financial side of running their business and so she's helped so many people get their financial life together and the process she's also created freedom for herself so you see in all of these examples wealth and helping people go together right they're not disparate things that can never touch each other in fact I think you can help more people when you build wealth well now I've given you the
