six wings two covered their faces two covered their feet and with two they flew they CL claimed with powerful voices holy holy holy is the Lord of hosts the whole earth is full of his glory their voices were so loud that the foundations of the temple Shook and the place filled with smoke symbolizing the divine presence when Isaiah contemplated this glorious Vision he felt deeply shaken he saw himself as small and impure before the Holiness of God his words were of Despair and recognition of his condition woe is me I am lost I am a
man of of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips and my eyes have seen the king the Lord of hosts at this moment of intense humiliation and sincerity one of the seraphim flew to the altar picked up a live coal with a pair of tongs and then flew towards Isaiah with a gentle but fiery touch the seraphim put the Ember to Isaiah's lips and said see it has touched your lips your guilt has been removed and your sin has been forgiven this symbolic act not only purifies IED Isaiah but also prepared
him for the mission that God was about to entrust to him still in a state of awe and amazement Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord which sounded clear and distinct whom shall I send and who will go for us without hesitation moved by purification and the Divine call Isaiah responded with courage and determination here am I send me with these words Isaiah accepted his mission as a prophet ready to bring God's message to the people regardless of the difficulties he would face this striking Vision in the temple was the starting point for Isaiah's prophetic
Ministry he was called not only to warn the people about the dangers of sin and Disobedience but also to bring messages of Hope and Redemption Isaiah's call teaches us about God's holiness the need for purification and the willingness to serve even in the face of great challenges this was just the beginning of the story that the prophet Isaiah would follow full of divine Revelations and Powerful prophecies that continue to impact the history of the world to this day without hesitation Isaiah with a heart full of reverence and A Renewed sense of purpose responded promptly here
am I send me this simple but powerful here I am marked the beginning of his prophetic Mission Isaiah not only accepted the call but was completely willing to be God's spokesman regardless of the challenges he would face Isaiah knew that his Mission would not be easy the people of Judah and Jerusalem were far from God sunk in idolatrous practices and social injustice God revealed to Isaiah that he would have to deliver messages of judgment warning of impending destruction due to the people's sin and Disobedience at the same time he would also have the responsibility to
bring messages of Hope pointing to the restoration and Redemption that would come after repentance his first mission was to confront King ahaz during a political and Military crisis the kingdom of Judah was threatened by powerful enemies and ahaz instead of trusting in God was seeking alliances with Pagan Nations to guarantee the security of the Kingdom Isaiah with courage and determination delivered God's message to the king he should trust in the Lord and not in human alliances to reinforce his message Isaiah offered a Divine sign the promise that a virgin would conceive and give birth to
a son called Emanuel which means God With Us despite King ahaz his resistance and disbelief Isaiah remained faithful to his mission he continued to preach tirelessly to the people calling them to repentance and Faith Isaiah announced that because of continued Disobedience a time of great judgment would come however his messages were not only of Destruction he also spoke of a glorious future in which God would bring about a new beginning for for his people of course next in this video we will look in detail at this confrontation with king ahaz and the prophecy of the
coming of a savior Messiah Isaiah uttered many prophecies about the Judgment of the surrounding Nations emphasizing that God is Sovereign over the whole earth he warned of the fall of great Empires such as Assyria and Babylon which would be instruments of punishment but which would also face Divine judgment for their own sins at the same time Isaiah brought messages of Hope speaking of a time when the faithful remnant of Israel would be restored he envisioned a future where a righteous ruler from the line of David would reign with wisdom and Justice establishing a kingdom of
peace and prosperity this Messiah as described by Isaiah would bring Salvation not only to Israel but to All Nations Isaiah's Mission therefore was twofold to warn of judgment and to announce the hope of redemption his words full of fervor and conviction sought to aw awaken the people to the reality of their sins and the need to turn to God in sincere repentance Isaiah dedicated his life to this Mission facing opposition and rejection but he never wavered in his commitment to God his prophecies recorded in the book that bears his name continue to resonate through the
centuries offering powerful lessons about Divine Justice and God's mercy he reminds us of the importance of listening to and obeying the voice of the Lord and of the hope hope that is always there even in the darkest moments for those who trust in God Isaiah's acceptance of the prophetic call marked the beginning of a mission full of challenges and confrontations with the weight of divine responsibility on his shoulders Isaiah began his ministry with Stern messages to Judah and Jerusalem he was driven by the urgency to warn the people about the dangerous path they had taken
turning away from God's laws and plunging into idolatry and in Justice Isaiah often stood in public places where the people gathered and proclaimed his prophecies with a voice full of conviction he described in detail the imminent destruction awaiting the nation his speeches were direct and Relentless addressing the corruption of the leaders the social injustice and the spiritual unfaithfulness that had spread throughout the kingdom Isaiah's words were an urgent call repent turn to God before it's too late he used powerful metaphors to illustrate judah's spiritual condition he compared the nation to a Vineyard which despite being
well cared for produced sour grapes instead of good fruit this image symbolized the ingratitude and rebelliousness of the people who even after receiving so many benefits and Care from God chose perverse paths Isaiah emphasized that because of this continuous Rebellion God would allow foreign Nations such as Assyria and Babylon to invade Judah bringing destruction and captivity Isaiah's message was clear if the people didn't repent they would face Divine wrath he did not mince words when describing the Bleak future that awaited Judah cities would be destroyed temples sacked and the people taken captive Isaiah's prophecies were
not merely threats they were heartfelt warnings from a dedicated Prophet who wanted to see his people return to the ways of the Lord despite his harsh warnings Isaiah also offered a way out repentance he called on the people to abandon their sins destroy their idols and seek God with all their hearts he promised that if they did so God would be merciful and forgive them restoring the nation and bringing blessings upon them Isaiah didn't just preach to the masses he also confronted leaders and Kings directly with unwavering courage he stood before the powerful and denounce
their Corrupt Practices exhorting them to lead with Justice and righteousness he knew that reform had to start from the top and that Godly leadership was crucial for the spiritual renewal of the whole nation the resistance of the people and the leaders to his messages was great many considered Isaiah an alarmist or simply ignored him but he stood firm continuing to Proclaim God's words with passion and faithfulness regardless of the response he received he understood that his role was to be the voice of God planting seeds of repentance even if the fruits were not immediately visible
Isaiah knew that judgment was inevitable because of the people's obstinacy but he also had visions of Hope and restoration he not only saw the fall of Judah but also eventual Redemption the certainty that God In His Infinite Mercy would not abandon his people gave Isaiah the strength he needed to continue his mission even in the most difficult times thus Isaiah remained steadfast in his prophetic Mission warning calling for repentance and keeping alive the hope that one day Judah would turn back to God avoiding the imminent catastrophe his voice echoed not just as a warning of
Destruction but as a call to spiritual rebirth and true faithfulness to the Lord we will now focus more specifically on the confrontation with king ahaz and the prophetic message of a future messiah in the midst of his messages of warning and calls for repentance Isaiah found himself facing a national crisis that would shake the kingdom of Judah King ahaz grandson of the pious King Uzziah was on the throne but his leadership was marked by a lack of faith and trust in God the nation was threatened by a coalition of enemy forces and fear gripped the
people ahaz in his desperation considered seeking alliances with other nations instead of trusting in the Lord it was in this tumultuous context that Isaiah was sent to king aaz with a message of Hope finding the king in a moment of deep anxiety Isaiah with theth authority of a Divine messenger offered him a sign from God he announced that the Lord would give ahaz an undeniable sign of his presence and protection the Virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Emmanuel the name Emmanuel means God With Us symbolizing God's closeness and care
for his people even in times of adversity this prophecy although intended to comfort King ahaz and reassure him that God was in control had a much deeper and broader meaning it was not limited to judah's immediate context it was a foretaste of the Messiah the promised savior who would bring Redemption not only to Israel but to all Humanity Isaiah revealed that this future Emanuel would be a sign of God's Everlasting Covenant with his people assuring them that he would never abandon them Isaiah's announcement was a double message for ahaz it represented a guarantee that God
would not allow Judah to be destroyed at that time it was a call to trust and faith urging the king to abandon his plans for political alliances and put his hope in the Lord Isaiah was imploring the king to recognize God's sovereignty and to see the sign of Emanuel as a promise of Salvation and divine protection however for God's people in future Generations this prophecy of Emanuel took on a Messianic meaning it pointed to the coming of Jesus Christ the true Emmanuel who literally means god with us the Fulfillment of this prophecy would be seen
centuries later when Mary a young virgin conceived by the Holy Spirit and gave birth to Jesus fulfilling the words spoken by Isaiah Isaiah continued to expand his vision of the Messiah in his subsequent prophecies describing him as the Prince of Peace the wonderful counselor the Mighty God and the father of Eternity he revealed that the Messiah would bring Justice heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free this Grand Vision of the Savior fueled the hope of the people of Israel especially in times of Oppression and despair the promise of Emanuel not only ensured God's presence
