Understanding Your Prophetic Season || Cultural Catalysts with Hayley Braun and Bethany Hicks

there is a pace of Grace that every single one of us is called to operate in in every single season of life it doesn't matter if you're in Winter it doesn't matter if you're in Spring you know you could be doing all the things and O you know producing like crazy but if you're supposed to be in a winter season and you're still doing all the things you're not going to have you're not going to be walking at that pace of Grace you're going to be outside of your season potentially and so really knowing like

there is an EB and Flow and and as you just pointed out so so beautifully every season that God has called you to there is a Grace For That season there's not a Grace for any other season but you will always have Grace for the season you're in in fact I believe you'll only have Grace for the season that you're in [Music] [Applause] [Music] welcome to cultural Catalyst where we help you learn how to live Fully live collabor with God and change the world and I'm your host Chris Bon this week we are continuing this

excited to have you Chris valtin is not here we have taken over um and we're threatening to do it forever I'm just joking uh but my name is Haley Brawn I am an overseer here at school of ministry in readen California at bethl church I'm also on our senior leadership team and um I'm excited to do this yeah and I'm Bethany Hicks and I am co-founder of prophetic company Global also on the core faculty teaching of school of the profits and we're really looking forward to school of the profits coming up but Haley it's always

an honor and a treasure to be with you I'm so glad that we get a chance to just kind of share what's on our hearts as prophets um and what God is speaking right now in this season yeah we currently we're doing a series um talking about prophetic Seasons we're about to jump into school the prophets in August and so um as we're talking about that before we jump in talking about prophetic seasons and what God's doing in the new era we know Chris has been prophesying the new era halime season I would first love

to hear from you Bethany like in your prophetic Journey when did you discover that you were a prophet how did you discover that how have you stepped into that in these in this last I mean how many years now yeah well um honestly I think I grew up in a prophetic culture that embraced the prophetic and Prophets um but it's it definitely looked different back in the 80s than it does today and I never actually knew I was a prophet until probably my mid to late 30s um I was a worship leader for a period

of time a actually over 20 years and I know you share that same passion and call and I remember one time I was leading worship on this little Mountain Church on the side of the hill up in the up in the Sierra Nevadas and a prophet had come visiting into town and he said to me he said Bethany you're not a worship leader who prophesies you're a prophet who leads worship and in that moment it was like I don't know how F you've seen those movies where like all of the the chains and The Kinks

and the Clockworks all kind of like lock in place and I just felt like my Identity re-calibrated or calibrated to something that I didn't know in that moment I needed to hear and so for some people listening you might think well what's the difference that just feels like semantics but actually as a worship leader who who prophesies I was constantly like playing the songs and and looking for like what's God doing out here you know looking to see where the prophetic word is going to come or is it going to be in this song or

in this flow and with that recalibration I realized like as a prophet I am the very conduit through which prophetic Grace would be released into the room so it actually wouldn't matter what song I would sing I would just strum my guitar you know like and then prophetic Grace is released into the room it wouldn't even matter what song because I realized again that I was the one that God was actually speaking through to release that prophetic atmosphere and so whereas before I was often looking for the Breakthrough as a worship leader who prophesies I

realized that God had anointed me to be the Breakthrough and and that was a really catalytic shift for my own Journey especially as I started to I like to use the terminology almost own it you know taking responsibility for who God has called me to be and I really saw an acceleration of breakthrough of um just even the prophetic being released on a more exponential level when I started to come into agreement and alignment with who Heaven said that I was and honestly it's just been my journey I was so hungry for the prophetic I

remember about in my mid-30s I would watch other people really like prophesy and I just wanted to know like how do they how are they so confident that they're hearing God like I believed in the prophetic but I still didn't know how God spoke to me and so I just look back now and I see these breadcrumbs of the Lord leading me even towards him towards his voice being hungry to understand how he speaks and so here I am now there's a lot more to my journey but here I am now and I I want

my greatest passions and delights is to equip the body to recognize and respond to the voice of God I just feel like every son and daughter has not only that responsibility they have that right to know his voice and so as a prophet that's one of my greatest like focuses right now is to see the entire just Body of Christ come alive to his voice and so that's a little bit of my journey again that sounds like it was a very short time but honestly it was probably a 20 year journey to really like discovering

and walking it and I feel like it's still being unpacked right now how about you Haley what was your journey like yeah I mean I grew up in a non-charismatic environment and I think the really interesting thing about being a prophet or carrying a prophetic gift you know obviously we believe all can hear the voice of God but for some it's kind of it's like that hard wiring was really at the Forefront of my h human like I heard the voice of God from a really young age and um I can tell you stories of

three-year-old four-year-old like really young but it wasn't really taught in my environment that you know we read the Bible and I knew that there were prophets in the bible but I didn't really understand the function of prophets or even the prophetic gift the difference between those things and um anyway the Lord led me by his voice to come to school of ministry here in 2008 I was 20 to and I'd say my first that moment you know like everything kind of comes in alignment it was literally just walking through the doors at bethl I walked

through the doors for a Friday night service and it was my first Friday night it was my first time ever on the bethl property and just no one's preaching I mean worship practic is going on and I walked through the sanctuary doors and it was like a glass ceiling was broken off above my head and there was this like access to things that I could see and um maybe like discern but couldn't reach it was like just walking through the doors of the sanctuary into an open Heaven I was able to actually access and I

remember looking at someone being like I make sense like something about I mean it's you can only now I know it was an open Heaven I didn't know then I was like something happened when I walked in the room and that was a journey till eventually Chris called me out as a prophet here so that was 2008 when everything started making sense I did School of ministry I became a pastor in our school of ministry and then probably about six years later Chris uh just in front of my Revival group hadn't spoken to me just

called me a prophetes in the house and I was like and it's so interesting actually I've been leading Revival groups for for a few years before that and I really enjoyed it but him calling me a prophet helped me recognize oh I have a Grace to like a Grace So Grace is like the en in presence of God to open people's ears and eyes and hearts to perceive and listen to the voice of God and so it actually shaped the way that I passed it and it helped me kind of focus in from all the

things I could do into the grace that was on my life to actually bringing people into this deeper awareness that God is speaking always and it's not just in a church service or in a Revival group or something spiritual but actually our whole life God is speaking and directing and leading us and so that was my journey I think like you I'm still on that journey in the the grace on my life and um learning about what it means to to further step into that and understanding this is a call of Jesus uh the spirit

is given us the prophetic gift but actually Ephesians 4 says that Jesus gave the five-fold gift of a Apostle Prophet evangelist pastor and teacher for the equipping of the Saints and that as a prophet it's not my job to be the only one prophet prophesying but actually it's my job to come in and awaken the body to the reality God is speaking and calling us to partner with him to bring Heaven to Earth through what we declare I love that you said that too that's something that we are so um really kind of just contending

for as well is that you know in the old Covenant prophets heard God for you but we really believe in the New Covenant prophets hear God with you and a lot of people believe still that only prophets can prophesy and you know we believe that one of the primary purposes of New Covenant prophets is to equip the body to prophesy to be able to understand the voice of God and so again knowing that no longer are prophets the mediators between God and man we only have one mediator right now that's Jesus Christ but knowing that

as prophets we're actually called to come alongside and serve and help build up the body and equip her to be able to recognize and respond to the voice of God so I love that you mentioned that because that's such a a vital part of who we are especially as school of the prophets it's one of the things we train you know we're talking a little bit about the new era Haley and I feel like that that particular idea of prophets hearing god with you not for you is is a mindset shift that needs that pendulum

needs to shift in this new era you know because a lot of people are still treating prophets as the only ones that are the voice of God and as a result you know we've seen a lot of abuse and misuse and hurt and manipulation and all kinds of things and and and again I think a lot of it has to do with this lack of understanding that in this new era and also in the New Covenant that that the primary of a purpose for a prophet is to come alongside and hear God with you and

so um as well as equip others so I love that you you brought that up that's so powerful yeah I mean I you as I'm thinking people watching like theologically this is theological and we can't open it all in fact I think you will be potentially speaking on this at school the prophets but there's kind of the shift from old Covenant to new covenant theology around prophets and it's all around just for those watching wondering what do you mean like what it's it's actually because the Holy Spirit has now come and filled all believers so

the spirit wasn't available to all because Jesus hadn't made the way and so now that Jesus has made the way for us to be reconciled to the father and released the Holy Spirit from his seated place we now prophecy is primarily confirmational the the we are hearing and talking to the Holy Spirit and prophecy is now not only but it it is mostly confirmational because we're hearing with each other not just for it's a together thing so I think that's and I I agree with you I think New Era this is part of what it

is is I think sometimes people want to create a god when we need leaders and human beings to be perfect what we're saying is we want to create little Gods the only one that's perfect is God himself and we all need to hear from him and we all need Mercy all of our leaders all of us whatever position we are we actually all need Mercy none of us are perfect we all need a savior talking about New Testament prophecy New Seasons hearing God for ourselves uh we we are releasing a um a guide on discovering

your season your prophetic season with the Lord and that's such an interesting concept like knowing your Seasons I will say that knowing your seasons is a really empowering thing to have otherwise you're comparing yourself to all sorts of things Bethany I'd love to hear from you what does it mean to prophetically know your season and how do you discern what your season is how do you apply it to your life what does that look like yeah there's there's kind of a several different components and again the guide's gonna help really walk people through um but

just a kind of a couple things to even set that up I think it's important to understand that everything in life actually has times and Seasons attached to it um you know sometimes these seasons are long sometimes they're short sometimes they're short but feel long you know like when you have really little kids and you're like man every day feels like a week and a week feels like a month you know but sometimes they're long and they feel short looking back and so Ecclesiastes 31 says that there is a time for everything and a season

for every activity under the heavens and it's interesting in that's in that passage that word there's a time for everything that means an appointed time and then there's a season which is a time of opportunity for every activity under the heavens so I like to look at it like there's times within Seasons so a good metaphor of that would be like um agriculture for example so you could say there's a spring season right so a season of spring would be a time of opportunity there's a time of opportunity within this season of spring and within

that that opportune time there are times or opportune season there's times of assignments and specific Windows of opportunity that you can only get within that particular season so within spring what would be a time an appointed time things that you could do assignments well obviously that's the ideal time to sew to plant you know because that would be when the the ground is more soft and and the weather's getting warmer so that's the time to really sew in plant now what would happen if you tried to sew and plant in a season of winter well

you're you might be doing the right thing but you're in the wrong season for it and so when you understand your season you actually prophetically you can understand what windows or times of assignments are available within that particular season and so that's kind of like a concept right there of times and Seasons but then I also believe that Jesus expects us to know what prophetic season that we're in you know in uh in Matthew Jesus rebuked the Pharisees because they understood the times in the seon they understood the weather like when the weather is going

to be the sky is red then they'll know that there's fair weather in the morning or something like that and then he rebuked them and he said you know how to interpret the appearance of the sky but you cannot interpret the signs of the times and what was happening was Jesus was essentially saying you do not know your prophetic season and as a result you are missing the time of your assignment that's available because they spent their entire lives studying the scriptures to understand when the Messiah was coming and they completely missed it when he

was standing right in front of them and so again they were rebuked because they failed to see him when he showed up and so I do believe that that there are prophetic Seasons that all of us are in and then within those Seasons when you understand those Seasons then you know what's available those windows that they're almost like Windows of assignments and sometimes the season can be long and sometimes it can be short and again seasons can we can actually be in different seasons in different areas of Our Lives you know like you've got young

children right now so you're probably in a season of spring summer in a sense you know because Summer is kind of where you're there's growth happening and you know there's kind of cultivating what's happening I'm kind of in the summer to harvest season with children because my youngest is going to be a senior this next year and so in one year all my kids will have graduated high school and be out of the house and that's going to open up different opportunities for me because my time will look different not needing to cultivate the lives

of my children at home more and so that's just an example in the family realm but of course this can apply to multiple parts of our lives and so I think it's super important it helps us know I think knowing your prophetic season knows where to say yes to and what to say no to I think that's super helpful for knowing your prophetic season as well I think it can help set you up for future upgrades it allows you to know how to transition well when you're leaving a former season and you're taking hold of

the new thing that God is doing you know there's so many people I'm sure you know these these people too and maybe we've all done it where we were in a great season but that season has passed but we're still holding on to a former season because our identity is often wrapped up to into that and because we often don't know what is coming next because God hasn't revealed it yet we don't want to let go of that even though God all the grace is gone all the favor is gone you know but but again

what happens is is like people can't let go of the former things but when you don't do that you can't take hold of the new thing that's coming and so again this is super important for all of our Lives because we're all in a swirl of Seasons I believe the Lord is speaking to us through this so that we can recognize the times of assignments the times of opportunity that we have available yeah I I also think you know if you like in a season of Summer it's fruitful so if you're in a fruitful season

and then you go into a season I mean what comes right after summer is Autumn well if you measure Autumn by the same measuring stick as summer you're unsuccessful because autum you're losing everything's falling off the tree but if a if a person if you don't go through winter like winter everything falls off and the resources from Fall so fall it comes off and then winter is focusing on strengthening that tree having the root systems go deeper so that it can be more fruitful in the next season and you know we've I remember when we

first bought our house we we pruned our trees in the wrong season and we killed two trees because we pruned in the wrong time and I think knowing your Seasons knowing you know I I've had Seasons where I've had incredible fruitful like abundance of fruit and you're Gathering a harvest and that feels awesome if feels awesome to be to have things to show but then you go into like a a winter season but it's just as valuable would we say that Jesus in the wilderness was less valuable than Jesus turning water into wine or Healing

The Sick no actually the Wilderness which was a no fruit season was actually all about building Jesus's inner core where he had to pass this kind of this this test the enemy was putting him through so that he could hold greater weight of God's glory to manifest it to the world and Jesus obviously sailed through that and then has this incredible fruitful season but without the Wilderness would would we have seen what was coming and I think it's those things understanding like and you and the other thing is you can't measure Yourself by someone else's

season totally so if you're around someone else that's in an incredible fruitful season and there's a lot of hustle and bustle and good things happening and you God's doing an inner work he's doing this kind of Psalms I think one 1059 says that then the word of the Lord or maybe it's 1095 tested Joseph until it came to pass like it he was on an internal Journey before he saw external fruit and if he measured himself while he was in prison he would have been a failure but actually it was 100% and God was using

it all for for his purposes yeah absolutely you know it would be like it would be like somebody who's a young mother like I remember when my kids were younger if I were to compare myself to somebody who was 10 or 20 years older than me and they were doing all the things and speaking on the circuit and doing all the things that I felt called to but I was limited to because I wanted to to be there for my children and so it'd be easy to compare myself but it's the we're in two different

seasons we're in two different seasons of assignment of opportunity you know I was in a season of sometimes you can and sometimes you can't but I will say what has been interesting is that the older my children I've gotten I've almost I've seen the Lord like almost I know it's a strange picture but it's almost like I had this leash that my leash got extended a little bit more when my kids became more independent and they didn't need me to care for them as much physically and they're driving more and they can make their own

lunches and then I was able to travel a little bit more and in fact I got this prophetic word about two years ago from two prophets and they the word had to do with this amazing like kind of what's coming ahead they're like in about three years I see you doing this and going up to this you know microphone and and this amplifier and your voice is going to go out and you know is a powerful word but my first question was like well what's going to happen in three years because both of them put

this Tim stamp on it and I realized oh that's when my youngest graduates high school so even like the Lord just in his goodness knowing that that's a desire of my heart and again the beautiful thing about understanding Seasons what we were just talking about it gives you like this almost a contentment to be in the season you're in and fully enjoy and embrace the season you're in knowing that we are in seasons of life and there are still Seasons coming and how we Steward this season does affect what the next season looks like and

so even the winter season you know I think sometimes with the winter season that can be that's like a time of rest I lived in a place where it snowed in the winter so it's like everything was covered in white that was my children's favorite time to recreate they would put on their ski clothes and go outside and play in the snow forever it's like it does mean different things and it does look different but um you know for you Haley like when do you think can you think of an example of a prophetic season

that maybe you've identified in your own life or or how that information affected you well I think the first thing I'd say for all of you listening to this I don't like live like okay I know what season I'm I'm in all the time some sometimes I forget about this and then all of a sudden I'm annoyed or uncomfortable or feeling just like this like internal tension and I and like it's like the grace for something that I had great like I'm doing the same thing but the Grace is Gone usually it's only in discomfort

that I'll be like maybe I should ask the Lord you know like and it's like so for those of you like how do you know what seas in you and well the first thing I'd say is like I it's not like the Lord wakes me up on Wednesday and goes it is winter like usually I'm just you know getting up trying to get through my work day and my my family and and there's this like irritation like a pearl like you know Pearl kind of gets formed by irritation and so most of the time there's

an irritation that caused me to start asking questions maybe I'm the only foolish one here and everyone else you just know but that for me is like okay a Grace starts lifting and and sometimes of the grace is lifted completely and I'm still trying and so I remember a season like this um where we were about to start a new school year and I could feel this like internal dis like discomfort and um I was like what is this Lord and I felt to ask what season am I in and the Lord said you're in

fall and about to go into winter and I realized I was trying to fruit produce in a season where things were supposed to come off the tree and I was trying to measure myself off of a last season and I remember just being like I don't want it to be full like what am I losing what am I uh and but I knew it was I could feel it was the word of the Lord and I know where the word of the Lord is there's Grace and so it started kind of I could feel that

and honestly I went into probably one of the hardest seasons of my life I my second child was born I went we had the car fire we had really hard diagnos has come for our family for my father-in-law who passed away after that and it was just a season I don't believe God caused that I believe that the like I don't believe he caused any of that but I believe he was giving me an opportunity to gear up to get out of this mode of I need to produce and I tell you what I feel

his hand all the way through in fact the this life-changing encounter I had in 2020 came after that season and it wasn't a short season so I have times where it's a quick season and it's a like it's short this was a prolonged multiple years um but I know that the Lord was was changing my operating system to recognize how to partner with him in the es and the flow of what of what he's doing and so yeah it was it was hard but I grew and it brought me to a place of radical encounter

with the Lord um and it also helped me when things externally didn't look the way that I that they had previously it helped me know that I wasn't failing I wasn't being unsuccessful that it wasn't the season to to measure Myself by fruit it was actually to measure Myself by yielding I was yielding to to releasing of things releasing of expectations and he who began a good work is always faithful so yeah I love that you brought that up especially like because that is an indicator because I can almost hear people say well okay times

and Seasons it's important like how do you know and I think you even just shared like even a key for recognizing you know potentially a season shift or maybe a season is changing which is that lack of Grace for a particular season or maybe assignment you know even as I had been teaching on times and Seasons I I like to use this phrase operating at the pace of Grace um you know really coming out of that Matthew 11 you know where Jesus is like coming to you come to me all who are weary and I

love it in the message translation it says learn The unforced rhythms of Grace and I just feel like there is a pace of Grace that every single one of us is called to operate in in every single season of life it doesn't matter if you're in Winter it doesn't matter if you're in Spring you know you could be doing all the things and O you know producing like crazy but if you're supposed to be in a winter season and you're still doing all the things you're not going to have you're not going to be walking

at that pace of Grace you're going to be outside of your season potentially and so really knowing like there is an EB and flow and and as you just pointed out so so beautifully every season that God is called you to there is a Grace For That season there's not a Grace for any other season but you will always have Grace for the season you're in in fact I believe you'll only have Grace for the season that you're in and so if you're feeling a lack of Grace now obviously if you're like raising children you

can't be like well I don't have Grace for my kids right now like you know what I mean like there are responsibilities that we have and the beautiful thing is is like Jesus is like hey if you're lacking Grace go to the throne of grace because I have more for you you know to pull and apprehend on that but there are again when related to Seasons and certain assignments just paying attention to like is there Grace for this right now is is your grace present for me because there's things there's times I've done things like

I pastored a church for six months I'm not a pastor I don't never want to do that again and people don't want me to be their Pastor I'm a I'm more of a prophet and I am a prophet and but there was Grace for me to do that in that very short season because that's what the Lord was asking for me to do and so again just pain an attention to his grace even if things are hard it doesn't mean it's always going to be easy but you will feel that Supernatural tangible grace Of Heaven

in and through you for the things that God has called you to you know I think um so interesting what we're we're talking about I I think it's really important that we hear from the Lord with our community as well you know so sometimes you watch people in isolation like well it's just not my season and sometimes I look at that and I'm like that's actually actually the Lord is mature in you so like in my children they'll tell me Mom I can't do that and actually because I have vision for them and I know

that adulthood is coming and I can see you know my son just turned nine it's his birthday today and there's some things that he resists because he's thinking with the mentality of a previous of a previous time and as a mother sometimes I'm like oh no you can and I'm thinking of one of the the people that work for me they were letting me know like hey I'm I'm struggling to keep up with what's on my plate and I just had this like sense from the Lord that the problem isn't what's on the plate and

I was like okay what's going on because their season wasn't actually full their season was we're in Harvest and I'm expanding their capacity to carry and so we can't just think that discomfort means we're in the wrong place we need to make sure that we're understanding that that sometimes discomfort that you know like a birthing a baby is not always comfortable it actually the discomfort of birthing a baby brings attention to a community something important is happening and it's time to gather around this person to make sure this is birthed and carried and not um

and you know isn't still born and I think sometimes there is discomfort that points to this is pain and we need to take our hand away from Pain and sometimes it's pressure because the community is being gathered in order to witness and to begin to care for something brand new and I looked at this it was it's actually funny a woman that was pregnant and I I could just see prophetically that the Lord was expanding a capacity of leadership and I said to her I don't know why I just don't feel Grace like I love

you and my heart in the natural would be to help you but I actually feel like you just need me to come alongside you um and I said what are you afraid of and she said I'm afraid that I'll drop something and I'll disappoint you and I was like oh you can't disappoint me like we're going to drop things but this is a expanding capacity season God's given you something to carry and it just was like this place where I think S as we need our community to like when we start Discerning things to go

to mothers and fathers or brothers and sisters that hear from the Lord and say I'm feeling this discomfort I don't know if it's a season change or if I'm birthing something can you help me see and it will bring it attention and they can go oh you're expecting too much from yourself or no you're expanding capacity let me come alongside you like a midwife and let's watch this this come into fruition and so I think it's really important that we're not just Discerning on our own but this is something that we're doing with our leaders

with community and this is the beauty you know even we think I think about school the prophets this is the beauty of school the prophets is that we get to come around other prophetic people who are usually living a little bit ahead of everyone else kind of feeling a little bit weird like like I'm sensing a season and everyone's like okay and and it's we get around other people and we start learning the signs of the times of different seasons and we start feeling more settled in that place Bethany I'd love to hear from you

um how how do you discern that a season's changing do prophetic Seasons always follow summer autumn winter spring are they is it different how long do they last I would just love to hear just a couple practical things on how to know we're transitioning and then are they sequential yeah that's a great question I mean I don't know that it has to be sequential again I feel like you could easily be in like a summer season with your family but a harvest or spring season with your job or your workplace or your ministry and then

you know again so I think I don't know that there's always this Grand umbrella of one season in everyone's life I think it does apply to those different ones I mean I mean for me personally um I I think my one of my primaries that I have discovered times and season is kind of more in that perceiver or knower like I just kind of know a I can know or sense that a a transition is coming and practically what that has looked like in the past is when I've had responsibilities in a certain area like

I was you know I was pastoring a church I was the worship leader I was overseeing my kids Christian school and I was running a Ministry School and like what I noticed was I I would pass the Baton in a sense to the next person for each of those things and what I was seing was like in a way like that was that area was kind of drying up in a sense not in a bad way but in a healthy way that I was releasing what prior responsibilities I had to the people who were supposed

to carry it next and I didn't know I couldn't find or see what was next and so I like knew like something's transitioning because the Lord is is taking what was good from this last season and I'm I no longer have responsibilities there but I know that there's something's coming and so that allowed me to prepare in a sense get my house in order like I don't know what's coming but something is coming and so it kind of allowed me to start looking even prophetically looking through the relationships looking to see where there's life where

are those streams of life that are coming to me where are those places or those burdens of my heart or even favor those people or those doors that are opening and you kind of knock on those and and in that transition I saw that the Lord really did open up a season for my family where we moved to a whole other location it was like five hours away and that's where I actually connected with Dan and Regina McCullum first of all and then the Mission Church at the time and it was like it was like

it was like getting on a treadmill that had already been running I don't know if you've ever if you've ever run before on a treadmill but you know how it's already going and you get on it like a Lurch but you're like running at high speed all of a sudden that's what it felt like and so I knew I was in that trans That season shift I could feel it coming and when it hit I knew I was in it and I feel like I'm honestly still in it but even like knowing your season in

a sense too and and within this knowing those prophetic assignments like prophetic company um which is what Dan and Regina and I were were co-founders in we had a word given to us uh about five years ago from um an Apostle Prophet and he's like it was a very simple word he's just like I see you guys I feel like you guys are in a season of build build build build build he just said build five times and it was the beginning of 2020 and I'm not kidding it launched like that word it was so

simple but it was clarifying for us that we're actually in a season of building so everything we do right now we we are that's the framework that's like the vision or the target that's that's the goal we know we're in a building season therefore we know what to say yes to and what to say no to and there's a Grace you know as you were saying it doesn't make it easy but there is a Grace to build and there's The Growing Pains of building but there's still a Grace for it and so I feel I

love even what you were just talking about with the The Woman Within your community I think that's super important because a lot of times if you're part of a community the leaders often will have the vision of what a season you're in and you can help hold people accountable like there's a Grace like hey you are part of this team and there is a Grace for you because this is about expanding capacity we're in a season right now of growth or building and part of that season personally it's going to help expand your capacity within

that season so even as prophets as prophetic people as Leaders we can actually call people up into that that are within our sphere of influence I mean what about you Haley do you feel like like what do you feel like is a prophetic assignment and how do we receive our assignments from the Lord how does that relate to Seasons you know prophetic Seasons yeah I think actually I think assignments can Trump a season I think this I'm just I'm now just verbalizing something um that I think I think that you can be in a season

and the Lord can put an assignment assignment on you it's almost like getting a coat and it's winter like most of the time in Winter you hunk it down that's your season and then all of a sudden the Lord will put an assignment on you and it's like he cloaks you and he prepares you to do work when you'd usually be like it's a funny but like you're working in Winter and you know it it's I was thinking about Nehemiah building the wall typically you would say you're either in a season of building or fighting

a lot of people are not repairing walls and fighting a war at the same time and yet because of the assignment Nehemiah had he had a uh he had a tool to build a wall in one hand and he had a he had equipment to fight a battle and the other should the enemy come and there was this and he had to have a mindset for it too he had sanbalat and Taya telling him this is never going to happen you should give up this is ridiculous and Nehemiah had to have a mindset to both

build and to fight so you had to say strengthen my hands like he had have this resolve of I'm in a spiritual battle and I'm physically building and I think assignments often they kind of make you're like I yes so I would say this for me personally in the season of small children I'm in a season of small children it my life does not make sense logically if you had asked me what I would be doing when I had small children what would be the desire of my heart it would not be rapid expansion it

wouldn't be working full-time at bethl and and traveling and speaking and like it it but I am literally in a season where I feel like that where it's like and there is Grace for it because my assignment has kind of directed There is Grace to do both right now and sometimes I look at I'm like I would never teach anybody to do this and even interestingly like your leaders need to understand season mhm because you can't like as a leader and I'm not saying we got to be careful to say my leaders have to I'm

saying no you as a leader me as a leader I need to understand the people that are working for me that there is a season otherwise I will apply principles and not be following what the spirit is doing and our principles are great back stops they're great things to fall back on but we want to be led by the spirit and have our principles guard us from the back to keep us from falling backwards but our principles kind of keep us safe but it's the spirit that leads us and so there have been moments where

I've looked at my dads and said I have Grace for this and they and they sense it too and so there's trust I look at my husband sometimes I'm like do you have Grace for this and you'll go no babe we're on assignment and so because of that my family has Grace but seasonally it doesn't make sense and so I think and I I I wished at assignments and season Seasons always came at the same time but some as they don't and I believe the Lord has me doing what I'm doing because he knows I

need I need this to build in me he's more interested in building me than he is anything externally and I know he's using this to build something on the inside of me unto his glory unto what he's called me to and so yeah I love that I think I think there's that's true because there I do believe there's times within Seasons but I think sometimes there are season within times or Seasons within assignments because I just even think about David you know he had the assignment of King where he was anointed but he kind of

went through a lot of Seasons I mean you know what I mean he went through like a long kind of winter season where that that seed of of of assignment almost went dormant in a sense and then all of a sudden you started to see the Springs of it you know and you just see him as he matures and he harvests and then he becomes king and he's in a summer season so you almost can see like Seasons Within assignments as well as well as assignments you know determining by Seasons but I think the key

is and I think you said it again it's just it really is about that pace of Grace like the purpose of knowing your times and your seasons is really about knowing how to walk with Jesus at that pace of Grace for where he has called You In This Moment In Time and so prophetically these are just kind of indicators or guidelines to help us um you know one of the things we learned from the from Prophet gr cook he said when you do by intention what you've done by intuition you achieve acceleration and so I

think a lot of people are intuitively kind of sensing their season or or maybe we're not thinking about it but I believe that when we start to intentionally partner with the Lord and hearing what he's saying about where we're at where his grace is at we can intentionally start to partner with the Lord in those things and I believe there'll be an acceleration within every season to accomplish all that God has for us within that that time frame you know that's so good yeah I think I was just thinking about assignments and I think another

thing that comes with an assignment is Authority and I think you know Seasons come with Grace I believe assignments come with Grace but they Al assignments come with authority and often as you st at a season it's almost like you'll step into an assignment I find often as you're faithful and obedient in a season like it's like something about those Seasons they bring you into the assignment and I've seen that so many times that like dormant seed as you are faithful and obedient through that process like you the there's like a breath of God that

comes and then he clothes you I I see aign like a mantle and uh that that that's where Authority comes you know favor gets you into a room but Authority allows you to move things and I think a lot of times we we have to realize you you can't just change you can't just come into someone's house and move their Furniture uh I have favor to come into your house we are friends we love each other you would let me come in you'd get me a glass of water but if I started to rearrange a

bedroom furniture we would have a conversation I would just watch you I think it'd be fun you're pushing that bad okay yeah it would be that there would be like okay okay let's see where this ends up but yes I know what you mean Bethany how do do we help people navigate the uncertainty of these things you know I think a lot of people like and I think there's a lot of uncertainty in the world around even they're prophetic and hearing the voice of God and then we have external factors of fear and insecurity and

self out and how would you help like what what would you encourage people to do in in kind of navigating these times and Seasons assignments especially when they feel uncertain or unsure yeah um that's a really good question I I think there's probably a lot of really good insights and potential answers I'm I'm really curious to hear what you're going to say as well I think practically I think the first place that I would start is really pay attention to what voice you're listening to you know there's just so many contradicting uh there's voices that

are out there right now the access we have to voices in the world um so much on social media um so many obviously different agendas and things like that and so if you're not really guarding the voices that you are listening to you have to acknowledge that that is that is contributing to however you're feeling right now if you're feeling hopeful if you're feeling strengthened if you're feeling fearful or anxious um you know that passage in scripture that says faith comes by hearing you know and and hearing by the word of God and it's like

I just I'm always caught by that first phrase because a lot of times we go straight to oh faith comes by hearing you know what what God is saying but actually it says faith comes by hearing and I believe that faith gets attached to what you're hearing Faith actually gets attached to what you're listening to whether good or bad and so if you're feeding on you know negative news or Media or things like that you're actually coming into agreement with the spirit that is behind those things speaking and so we have to really in this

season guard the voices that we're listening to because our faith is attached to that and so we want to make sure that our faith is attached to what the the Lord is saying we want to make sure that our faith is being attached to the voice of the Holy Spirit and if you're not convinced that God has a Heavenly solution and he has hope for every single situation and Challenge and obstacle that the world is facing then you're probably not listening to the right voices or you just need to you just need to get your

heart into that place because Jesus from what I've heard and what I've seen is still on the throne and so again in these times of transition you know I think about that scripture that those who look to the Lord their faces will not be put to shame they will never be disappointed right there is like the key is keeping our eyes on the Lord and hearing what he is saying and and again even even in this world with with prophetic voices and Christian voices we still have to guard what we're listening to and I'm not

saying put your head in the sand that is not what I'm saying but I am saying be wise and discern because what you listen to that's what your faith will be attached to what is the Lord speaking to you that would be the other thing I would say Haley in this season I'm I'm just so constantly aware of when Peter was walking with Jesus and he was like what about that guy what about that guy what's that what's gonna happen to that guy and Jesus is like what is that to you you follow me and

I'm just so constantly convicted and convinced like Lord It's easy to be distracted well what about that person what's going to happen to that person o that person did that and I just feel like the Lord more and more is like what is that to you you follow me you do what I've called you to do you walk at the pace of Grace in the season and the assignments that I've called you to do and and you know walk in that pace of Grace so that's kind of where one of the initial things I think

that I would encourage somebody what about you Haley you know I think that no matter what season we're in we're always called to produce the fruit of the spirit mhm and you know so it might not be massive fruit in Ministry or massive fruit in I don't know uh I'm trying to think what other people do because I just live at the church but um like you know what I mean like fruit in your business maybe you're not getting the the seven figures you know that you believe you're called to do or that governmental position

that you feel you're called to and that maybe that's not there's not that kind of fruit happening but we are always we have always have the ability to produce the fruit of the spirit because that is no season there is a river that never runs dry and that River there is fruit on the trees and and that so I think we should like no matter where we find ourselves in the discomfort of transition if I am not experiencing the nine attributes of the fruit of the spirit then there's some place in me that I've connected

to another source and there's 's only one source that never runs dry there's only one source that fills me to overflowing there's only one source that brings transformation and that is Jesus and um you know I was thinking about the fruit of the spirit and thinking oh this is some sometimes we think see it as this like laundry list of things we need to do like I need to be loving I need to be peaceful but actually if it's the fruit of God's spirit indwelling in us then that means God's emotions God's nature towards us

is those nine things and so we are releasing God's nature and so the first thing I'd say is no matter what season you're in there's always enough Grace to love your kids there's always enough Grace to be patient with a stranger there's always enough kindness to to show love when someone else is rude to you there's always longsuffering so uh for me navigating transition is often I start putting my faith in in an outcome instead of the source and that's where transition gets really Rocky that's where things get really uncomfortable but when I come back

to the one who's the river and he speaks to me then everything gets settled and so one I just encourage you like even if you don't know what season you're in you have a god that is always faithful and always there and start there the second thing is um I'd encourage people to view Mercy Romans 121 says therefore I urge you Brothers in view of of God's mercy offer yourself as a Living Sacrifice that before we can do faithfulness and obedience really well that we need to realize we don't do it through our own ability

to discern our own ability to discover we do it by looking that God has made himself available to us he's not far he's not distant he's not waiting for us to jump through hoops we can just look at his mercy and know that he's wanting to speak to us like he's not not wanting to tell you about where he has you what he has for you he's wanting to share with us and so just remember that it's not all on us I would say that God is made a way where there was no way and

that we can access his heart and his voice and that he's given us his spirit so that would be my encouragement obviously I I it's tagging on to be careful what wells you're drinking from right be careful what source you know and even my husband as wonderful as he is he is not my source he is my target if if I drink from the sauce that is Ryan brwn on his bad day I can only sew back into him what he gives me so good and um no matter what seasons we find ourselves in we

can connect to the Lord and serve one another no matter where we find ourselves um and then the other thing is I would just I I would say don't diminish prayer like prayer like sometimes we come to God and we just want to ask the question and get it answered and actually it's not the Crux of the problem there's something deeper going on there's a a need that's going unmet there's an insecurity and so just take sometime to quiet your mind and your heart and just come before the Lord and start with Thanksgiving Thanksgiving is

what he has done praise is who he is and from that place that like that prayer of Thanksgiving and praise and adoration it will settle you down to where you can actually hear clearly and that that's what I'd say is like sometimes we in such a rush to get an answer we don't want to do the relationship side of things and prayer is a really helpful aligning place where I'm not just trying to get God to tell me what to do but I'm letting him search me and search my heart and reveal himself love it

so powerful Haley well speaking of prayer maybe we should do a prayer just for the audience you know just to kind of release that Grace for uh to understand their prophetic season and and help even navigate some of the shifts and the transitions that's happening me yeah I you know Bethany just real quick as before we pray I just had a sense we were praying before this and I just had this sense like people uh some people have been dealing with like unusual anxiety and it's it's actually because you've been maybe living in expectation of

a different season and I felt like even the Lord was going to align some people I think even bring peace you know when when I had my first baby I didn't adjust to the season I was trying to keep up with all the things that I'd done before and then keep a human alive and I started to get hard on myself because I wasn't keeping up with the laundry or you know like I just I think it those places and when I realized like you don't have to keep all these things going you're keeping a

baby alive right now and I adjusted peace came and I feel for some people that um you're expecting a lot from yourself and the Lord wants to speak to you and bring Clarity and he wants to just tell you like it's time to take I think there's a difference between bird bearing burdens and weightlifting and I think some people are expanding capacity because you're at the gym and you're lifting weights but some of you are bearing a burden and the Lord wants to lift that burden off your shoulder because his yoke is easy and his

burden is light so I'll pray and then Bethany if you want to just follow up that sounds powerful yeah Jesus yeah Hallelujah oh God I thank you I thank you that you care for us God that you said that we can cast all our cares on you and Lord I I just thank you God for your deep care for every person watching today every person engaging that you care enough about us that you would give us Seasons that you wouldn't expect us just to produce and produce and produce but you long for Seasons where you

draw Us close to you to to to kind of settle in and to hear your voice and to rest Lord I Thank you that you know that we're humans and yet you chose to put your spirit in us that you don't despise our Humanity but you fill it and you transform it and you partner with it and Jesus I just pray right now I I right now I see a a little boy um who's been struggling with I see anxiety he's a he's a little prophetic Feeler and I just see the Lord right now I

I I believe he's eight years old the Lord is bringing healing to his mind and to his heart and I see Jesus saying like you can give the weight to me like like it's not a season for you to bear weight but actually it's a season for you to uh have your ears open to hear what I'm saying and Lord I just see parents right now I see you navigating I see a little girl you're six or seven she's a dancer and she's a real joyful little girl but recently she's been carrying heaviness and I

see Jesus just coming in to bring peace as he's speaking to to you as parents about her heart and how to navigate this season in her heart and so God I just thank you Lord I thank you God for the the person that's watching you just stepped into retirement and you're feeling like what is my purpose God I thank you that you're bringing Grace to to the pace of purpose that purpose has changed and yet it is still there that the outcome is different but the purpose is there and so Lord I I thank you

God for the grace for that that single mom you something shocking just happened in your life your your husband is no longer in the picture and was out of nowhere and the Lord is bringing Grace for a different pace Lord I thank you Jesus for that and holy spirit we just say come in like a flood Let the River of God come and meet your people with Grace and with mercy and with Clarity we ask for ears to hear and eyes to see yes Lord and Lord I just pray even for those that have felt

like they're they've either missed their season or that they have they're just too old for their season Lord that there's no more purpose for their life father I just break that line lie right now and I just say that you are the perfect age for everything God has called you to do in this season and Beyond and Lord I just release a Grace right now father a Grace of clarity a Grace of even the clouds of confusion to dissipate father and that the heavens would just be Open Lord because you desire Lord you have created

us to operate in the cycle of life in the cycle of seasons and how you have set this up and how you have ordered this for every single one of us and Lord I do I release that Grace to understand and to know what prophetic season we're in right now so we can rightly walk with you and work with you in the unforced rhythms of Grace Lord God father I pray that there would just be a Grace to move at the pace and the power of God in this season and so Lord as every person

who's listening right now Lord that their faith would be attached that there is a purpose there is a time there is a season and there are assignments from Heaven Lord God in addition to the relationship and in addition to CL uh connecting close to Your Heart Lord and I thank you Father that the kingdoms of this Earth are becoming the kingdoms of Our Lord through your body body and Lord I Thank you that you are fully reigning right now Lord God and we love you and we worship you and we just yield our hearts our

minds our bodies to you Lord God and we just receive even the grace right now for all that you've called us even now I just see like as those are listening even if you want to get in a posture of just receiving and drinking just seeing yourself coming to that throne of grace and trusting that the Lord he is so generous that he's going to to pour His grace on you for um even I see some of you you have like promotions ahead of you and you're like I don't know if I have the capacity

for that or maybe some of you are starting new businesses and you've wondered if you have the strength but God is calling you to it I just see the Lord pull pouring out his grace into you and through you and there's going to be a fresh wind it's almost like the wind at your back that's going to be pull that's going to be pushing you forward and God's going to be even opening up doors of opport opportunity doors of favor relational doors the right people for the right jobs the right uh the right uh positions

the right geography even and so Lord we just thank you Lord that you are just a faithful father and we just look to you um in all these things Lord God this isn't a formula this isn't a this isn't a form but this is a relationship and this is a this is a way that we can walk prophetically and wisely Lord God at the Pace that you've called each one of us in Jesus name yeah amen amen I just I just want to just prophetically I just had a vision I saw dormant seeds and I

I just felt like some people were feeling you like I don't even I'm not even in a season I'm just stuck and I saw uh someone picking up a watering can and starting to water seeds and where you think things have been dead there's about to be new life and I felt the Lord say there's there's things to start watering the seeds some of you you need to open your Bible again and it's not about what you read it's just about engaging your heart in faith that God is something for you some of you it's

going to be you need to start prophesying again encouraging people again you need to actually sew into other people's lives and it's going to water seeds of your own life and others of you need to review those prophetic words some of you you just don't have faith for it you you've lost hope you feel disappointed and I feel like the Lord says would you dare to review those words again put on some words music and just start reading and speaking out God you have said and I even felt uh I saw joint issues and I

saw some I'm speaking to I think it's more than one person you feel stuck but actually you some of you either dealing with carpal tunnel in your wrist arthritis in your hands I saw tennis elbows well I feel like God right now is healing people of those things actually just begin to move your body and I believe it's like it's for some of you uh it will be a sign like it's actually like I'm working and I'm loosening The Joint so that you can step back in so we just release The Healing Hand of Jesus

uh right now um yeah someone's dealing with an issue with their neck as well and it's just this Mobility it's inability to see the full picture and the Lord is just releasing healing right now the the physical is going to speak of what's happening in the Supernatural so we thank you God W actually when you talked about the seeds I saw the watering C I'll just kind of close with this but I I saw that same thing where there were seeds that were dormant there are promises that God has spoken over your life an assignment

and and I was just seeing like there's this phenomena called a super bloom where you know I don't if you've heard of this before but it's like they actually have it in Death Valley in California which is a very it's like just very desert-like for years it doesn't rain there and all of a sudden every like I don't know it's pretty rare 20 years or something they get a lot of rain and the entire desert every seed that was dormant Comes Alive all at once and there's this incredible Super Bloom where this desert is covered

with flowers and I believe the Lord is saying that for some of you on here there have been seeds that have been dormant and just even activating it according to even what Haley was just sharing I believe that you are about to step into a super bloom season and that the scripture where the Lord said in the time of rain ask for the latter rain some of you have had a had the former rain and the Lord's like ask for more this is the time of the latter rain that there's a season of a latter

rain that's going to produce that super of uh just favor of Grace of of of even assignments within the seasons that God has called you and so we just bless you with with that super bloom uh just time and season it's going to be amazing so good well as you can tell Bethany and I are now in a prophetic flow I know I don't know if we normally do this on cultural Catalyst but I love it we would love to encourage you to to tune in for the rest of the series on prophetic Pioneers as
