so what you're about to learn is not just the framework for Shopify conversion rates that has generated tens of millions of dollars but has generated billions of dollars on Shopify this is more than just launching a standard store on Shopify this is a way for you to transcend your Shopify store from average to a showcase brand I'll be breaking down how to add an extra six figures seven figures or more with your Shopify store in these are the techniques that will give you an unfair Advantage ignite your cells and allow you to disrupt your space
so we're going to be covering how to 10x your Shopify conversion rates and as you can see here I pulled in a couple of client stores and their average conversion rate you know the typical conversion rate for most e-commerce stores is around a 0.5 to a 2 and 1 half% conversion rate and that's not a very good conversion rate and if you were able to achieve upwards of a 4.5% conversion rate even a 7.86% conversion rate a 10% conversion rate or even a 5% conversion rate you could more than double to Triple even 10x the
amount of sales volume you're doing just by making adjustments to your site to make it more conversion rate friendly this will unlock a better Roi for you allowing you to get more sales from your ads and organic marketing and there are really two types of Shopify stores they fall into one category which is your traditional Shopify store in these Shopify stores are usually all over the place it's very hard to navigate their menu isn't very clear the text is hard to read you can see that you can barely see some of this text on the
Subscribe and save it's not very personalized and there's really not much going on or there's too much going on and this can really a store and a lot of you have stores that really look like this and then the other category of shopy stores are the ones that take off Excel show up in press articles are featured and people buy and love their products and live by their Mantra and these are called called your D Toc Brands and D Toc Brands really fit in this category because they have a very clear unique selling proposition you
know exactly what offers they have available it's a very personalized experience the stores are very well branded and in order for you to go from a traditional store to living in this dtoc Marketplace and being able to Excel and see tons of sales and growth you really need to complete a few steps and phases to get there and the problem with traditional stores are they have weak branding their colors are inconsistent you go from page to page and can't really tell that it's the same website their ads don't even connect with the actual website nothing
really looks the same and it's all over the place and then they have poor product descriptions or no product description at all they don't mention how the product is being shipped they don't give you any sizing information they don't tell you much about what the product does how it may benefit you or even change your life and they're either overdone by having weight too much information and so much text or they're just outright unexciting where there's just images all over the place that don't really make sense it's low quality and it just looks like they're
trying to sell something and make a dollar and not really connect with the end consumer and then they use fake sales tactics this is your you know countdown timers or Limited stock or we only have 16 items left available and these fake sales tactics are outdated and consumers can spot them and tell whether or not they're really being true to their words and traditional stores really lack overall content and visuals they don't call out all of the main benefits of the product or highlight specific reviews or personalize The Experience enough or the product images don't
really show the product very well and it focuses on other content that's not really relevant and then they have what I like to call a spaghetti menu it's just random menu items whether they list specific products in their menu or have uncategorized they have a home button rather than just using their logo as the way to get back and they really don't have relevant information in their menus or when you click on a menu item it takes you to a page that just doesn't give you what you were looking for and what D to see
brands do differently is they have a cohesive brand all of the colors and branding throughout their site really runs together it's holistic and you can actually tell that the site is well put together it's fun it's exciting and they have clear product descriptions they give bullet points highlight key information for the consumer to know what they're buying they list out the reasons of the benefits and they have special offers that are actually true or you can actually redeem a 10% discount or they run campaigns that are over a specific holiday period or they do bundles
where you can bundle different items together because those two items go together and their content and visuals are well put together they're high quality you can see exactly what the product is it shows you how to use it they have explaining videos in their product Pages as you scroll down will give you more information around the experience the community and the overall feedback that people have given from purchasing the product and they have a clean navigation menu where you can easily find exactly what you're looking for and some of the items that you really want
to pay attention to when trying to 10x your Shopify conversion rates are simplifying the user experience it only takes a 05 second for customer to form a first impression about your website so as soon as somebody visits your store the moment it loads they're going to immediately already know exactly how they feel so if you're not displaying all of the accurate information or giving an experience that is going to welcome somebody and allow them to know that they arrived in the right place you're going to have a harder time converting people and you're going to
want to aim for an average 3% plus conversion rate this is a above average conversion rate this is a healthy conversion rate that will allow you to scale your shopy store if you're doing a 3% plus conversion rate you're going to be able to scale up your ads you know that you don't have a drop off in your funnel every dollar that you're spending you're getting more out and having a very low conversion rate means that your funnel is effectively broken you're spending a lot of money and not seeing the results that you want and
a healthy shopy store shoots for a 30 to 50% returning customer rate shopy stores that are able to stack the revenue and go from 100K to 200k to 300K to even million doll months on on Shopify they have a high returning customer rate volume big Brands understand that they make more money by getting a customer that they've already acquired to come back because the costs are cheaper and the ways that you increase your returning customer rate is through subscriptions email marketing by sending special offers to your customers that already exist retargeting your existing customer base
and being able to add different products that complement a product that somebody's already purchased through upsells cross sales infus future promotions that way people feel a part of the brand and start referring you to other customers as well and 72% of consumers say they are more likely to buy from a brand if it consistently offers a personalized experience this is why it's so important to build your brand and be more personable when we're looking at some of these D Toc Brands you'll notice how they start to incorporate more personality behind the brand we have Dr
Squatch here which could be just a logo but they've brought their brand to Life by having somebody that they can actually connect with Dr Squatch just what the doctor ordered so they're connecting just a simple logo back to the overall brand and experience by personalizing the brand itself and then you have her juice bar which is a client of ours and they say Elixir for intimate issues they're talking more personalized to an individual's experience and then you have Loom which is pairing products together and highlighting why these are going to be products that you would
want to buy as a bundle and meet our best sellers and they give information around the product and how it impacts your personal life and then we have Cuts clothing where they're saying refresh your wardrobe and just to show you what the main differences in what they're doing and what a traditional store does this store right here just says subscribe and save it's not very personal at all subscribe and save okay submit your email and save what it doesn't give you a percentage it doesn't tell you what else to expect and and it doesn't really
give a reason why somebody should even submit their email and become a part of your brand and then we have the store below it fibergel extension kit it's very direct it's just their product there's not much personality behind this and then we have another one that just showcases their products with the simple headlines there's no Banner or specific angle here and then we have another one that just says featured product why is it a featured product is it the products that people buy most or is it just another sales tactic that they're offering frame and
you can really start to draw the parallels here and see the main differences in how you can transcend your store from where it is now to becoming a true showcase DTC brand that has explosive growth and then 82% of consumers feel more positive about a brand after reading custom content rather than just showing different angles of your product in your images showcase a comparison highlight your product against something they do in their daily routine that is mundane that might not be helping them whereas your product could incorporate into their lifestyle and make them better or
highlighting the key benefits around your product or the ingredients that are so special compared to other products out there is it clean is it organic is the material of the clothing that you're selling you know fit differently than other brands does it machine wash much easierly is it made for people who are oversized or undersized people want to know this information because it's more in tune to them and their personal experience whether than you just saying here's our extra large be more detailed around that so you might be wondering okay chase this is great and
all and I see some of the items here but what are some of the tools and ways that I can Implement these things that you're saying well I've gone ahead and put together a tool list for you so that way you can start taking action on some of these items and one of the first one is coolers and this is where you can bring that brand to life on Shopify and just to highlight how this works when you go to their website it's entirely free and they'll populate different colors that go together you know there's
a lot of variations in color and there's different Hues there's different vibran there's different tones palettes and really colors go together and have to be seamless throughout your site if you have a really bright red and then a really matte yellow it might not fit together so if you have vibrants you want a lot of your colors to be vibrant or if your colors are more toned out where they're matte colors then you want multiple colors that fit together and this is what this platform does it brings in the exact colors that fit in sequence
and if you see a color that you like you can simply lock it down and then you can press the space button and they'll highlight other colors that go with this one let's say you find another color you like and you continue going through this process until you find all of the colors that fit together with your brand and then maybe you see two colors here that fit better and you want to remove these other ones you initially started with because let's say we're doing skin care and so these colors start to fit really nicely
together and so this might be your banner text or your primary text color and this might be your add to cart button color and then the orange might be the accent colors for your special offers and you can have specific colors for specific things on your website so that way it pops and people can then start to recognize a pattern and this is a great way to guide people through an experience keep everything on your site cohesive so that way people know exactly where they are when they see your ads all of your ads have
the same branding your website's branded your social media is branded and everything runs together I've seen so many shopy sites that have a logo with like five different colors their website has 10 other colors that just doesn't make sense you want to simplify it and have everything running seamless and we have so many videos on my YouTube channel covering strategies around your Shopify conversion rate through there's actually three videos right here that you can watch after this one as well to take everything to the next level covering different phases and categories with your Shopify store
so be sure to check those out as well and then our next one is the shapes theme and I'm by no way affiliated with shapes this is a theme that we've consistently started recommending clients because we've consistently seen every time people activate it their conversion rates go up they start to see 3% plus conversion rates and it's not any magic it's simply data and just to look at a demo store you can start to see how this really brings out the product it puts it in focus and their logo their menu everything fits nicely the
Branded colors and you can start to see how this flows together there's not a hard breaking point between the next section in the icons in these little images showcasing the fruit and you can actually start to taste things believe it or not because rather than just looking at a drink can I couldn't tell you what this might taste like but once you start incorporating the flavors by bringing out the real life fruits you can truly start to get a better idea of this product and it might sound cheesy but it really does make an impact
on how you demonstrate your products and provide that experience for people and you might be saying you know my product is just Chargers or I'm selling you know iPhone cases my product wouldn't fit on a Shopify site that looks like that that well that's the beauty of using this tool here to get the right colors and then being able to leverage a theme like shapes where you're able to design different store examples here's another one with shapes theme where they have a cosmetic brand and you can see it looks totally different than the last site
but shapes is providing you with all of the little items to highlight your product in effective way where you can actually go through the steps and show people how to actually use it Beyond just buying a simple product with the logo on it next tool is canva and a lot of you are probably familiar with canva but I absolutely love this tool it's so simple in nature it doesn't require any advanced level of using this tool but knowing how to activate canva in the right ways can be super powerful and let me show you what
I mean by that here's an example of how you can leverage canva here's a standard image of the product rather than just showing the jewelry itself they have simple call outs around the sizing these are little things that impact conversion rate because now when somebody's looking at this image they can get a better idea and put measurements on themselves and when you go to canva there's creative formats you can leverage with your website for instance here's a comparison where you can actually use this in one of your images on your site where you're comparing your
product against a standard brand and highlighting the key differences between them and then you can even search features and have another image that highlights your product in the center and calls out the specific benefits or features of your product so now just beyond showing different angles of the product you're actually diving deeper into why somebody might actually make a purchase this will give you a much better conversion rate in the long run and all you got to do is just go back to your colors palette add in your colors here and your ads your images
on your site and the overall theme is all going to run together and look very aesthetically pleasing and make it much easier for somebody to convert and then we have another tool here photo room which we've fallen in love with and this is great if you don't have a photographer or somebody who can do lifestyle images or modeling shoots those can be very expensive for a small shop F store and this can save you a lot of money because it's an AI tool that will literally generate backgrounds and put your product in lifestyle scenarios where
somebody's using your actual product all from AI even putting your product in specific settings so here's photo room they'll remove the background and as we go down here you can start to see that you could put your products on flatlays where it's a Concrete background or even add patterns you can put your fragrance in a specific setting or highlight the different scents around your product really bringing it to life you can put your candle in a woodsy setting because it might be a woodsy scent you can put your product into the center and have a
special offer here and you can start to really see how you can leverage this and just to show you how we've used this for a client in the past this is a client who sells car Silhouettes and they used to only have one product image where they would show the product on a wall there was no furniture so you could really not tell how the product would look in your own home and what photo room was able to do was bring in real life Furniture here so now you can start to get a feel for
the overall interior of the space photo room was able to bring in these C CES a pool table and show the cars in different settings and it's so crazy how real life this actually looks this was not a professional photo Believe It or Not photo room generated this using Ai and so now people can come here look at the different settings and this was able to Triple their Shopify conversion rates all from these images because people didn't know what it would look like in their home but now that we have lifestyle imagery they can truly
imagine exactly how it might look and then we have surge which is a Shopify app that can give you better recommendations for changes to make with your Shopify allow you to build custom audiences track better performance with your ads give you a true return on ad Spin and allow you to know exactly where every dollar is coming from with your Shopify so surge is really a great tool to set up and be able to create custom audiences based off your latest repeat Shoppers or the biggest buyers and allow you to create audiences based off your
