okay so no Cricut no problem we're going to really quickly go over a couple ways that you can cover your rebinds if that you're doing or your fanfiction binds without needing to buy a Cricut cuz they're really freaking expensive the first one if you want the gold foiling look is this is a foil quilt for like 20 or $30 what it is is it just heats up you can also use this in your Cricut but obviously I haven't even opened it but right here is just a hot tip so you get heat activated foil you'll
take your book cover you'll take your foil and it's very very thin and you'll like cut off a piece if you want you go like this you'll plug this in and then you'll Trace over the parchment and then that will transfer foil to your book so that's a way if you have good handwriting or you know can follow and draw lines and stuff this is a great way you could just literally print off whatever cover you want and then trace it onto parchment paper and then just go over the entire thing with this this is
again I think $ 20 to $25 another way if you have like a clothbound or even a paper book is um iron on patches I have a ton of them this is a notebook that I made and it looks really pretty I think it looks super nice and it's literally just like 3 seconds of ironing on something it's you can order them off of Amazon they come basically in whatever you want there's an ironon patch for it but I think it's a great way or um if you are talented with embroidery you can do embroidery
on your book cloth and so you would do it in the stage either you would do it onto your book cloth directly you would embroider this and then put that on or probably the best idea is to make your own book cloth and I have a video about that and you would just embroider the fabric and then after you've embroidered the fabric you would then do the process of making the book cloth by ironing on the heat and bond and the tissue paper so that it just gives it a better seal and there aren't little
holes in the book cloth that when you iron this on or when you glue um so there aren't little holes when you glue book cloth to the case okay that's another way another way I Haven never done it but a lot of people I've seen have is you can make a naked hard cover so that's basically just a book like this so you'd make the case like you normally would and then see this is all just it's paper that's glued on so you would design your entire cover front back spine and canva the issue with
this is you need to be very good at measuring so you need to know exactly so that your spine lines up well you just need to know exactly the measurements between every single part and then when you're putting your case onto glue on to this you just um you just make sure you don't you know tilt it and mess it up but that's a great way because you could get a super beautiful very integrate cover that isn't at all cricet dependent so you just print out a really big sheet at like a FedEx or a
kink Go's of your design and then you'll cut it down and there's a ton of videos on how to do that cuz I've never actually done it um so but I know that that is a possibility and it's not crcket dependent and then another ability on that same front is just you have your book it looks like this and then like most books because most books come like you just you make yourself your own bookcase or what What's this called I'll cut in what it's called because I'm having a moment but that would be the
exact same process as what we just talked about you would just design this in canva again measuring all the parts so that you know where it folds over and then you would just have this printed out at your local um print job or if you have a big computer or big printer that does that you could use that and then so you just can have a book like this but then it's you know completely designed and you can if you have a series you can line up all your spines together and that's super easy okay
and then oldfashioned books let's let me pause and see if I have one okay so I couldn't actually find but this is sort of a good example or even this is an example so basically when you have your case instead of covering the whole thing in cloth or leather or whatever you could just cover this little bit so that it holds together with that and then see how this one is just yellow and boring and nothing you can instead easily you could find a nice sheet of paper and have it be like that so that
this is what it looks like so just a really pretty piece of paper and if you follow do bookbinding on YouTube when he goes through like how to make your cases and everything or like how to book find a book his process isn't you know flourish like doing all this crazy stuff to cover us his is just putting this here and then having um a pretty piece of paper here and then cutting the edges and I think the edges still come back with book cloth um so that's another option and then something that just came
out last week and they sent me a lot which I think is really cool is oh goodness where did I put them okay so this new company called Fable and bind they are selling these decals they're gold decals and they're basically press on so all I did was I put this on here and I just it comes with a little little tool like this and you just go rub rub rub rub rub and it takes about 10 minutes to like slowly rub all of the this onto the bo the thing and it doesn't come off
because I they sent them to me a couple months ago when they were first wanting to bring it to Market and I said I'd try them before I you know sent them out into the universe and I literally broke my nail at one point trying to like get it off just to like make sure that it actually worked before I was like oh hey this is a really cool product so yeah so they stay on like really really well and I mean look how pretty that is and so they come in sets they have like
different themes and the sets all have four pages I think I must have used two of the pages from this but even though so these ones are big and so that would only fit a big hard cover so like this is a um broken I think like Hunger Games or something so this is a your back sized case so like this wouldn't fit here obviously but the middle part would if you just wanted in you could just easily just if as long as you don't rub like this area this whole thing will just come off
so you could just put that in the middle or they also have little different things that you can cut out like for these I just cut out these edges here they have different you know different things and I think it's like $25 for a pack of four so that should cover probably four books and so that's a good price too um and Link is my bio for these but yeah okay um those are a lot of different ways oh and also like one other thing is that if you want to make something like something like
this where this is book cloth and then this is paper um or even even all book cloth you can paint book cloth so if you're an artist just go paint your paint your book make it look super pretty or you could do stamps I mean sky is really the limit here so okay really quickly one last thing put your book cloth in the printer okay so I just dragged this over from canva to try it and it works I saw a guy on YouTube doing printing pictures onto linen and then framing them and it looked
so cool I was like wait you can print cloth cool so I tried it today um this one was supposed to be color that I was trying but I think my printer is actually out of color but you would for my printer my printer only goes 8 and 1 half Ines wide and then so I put this like 8 and 1/2 by 14 I think but you could still easily use this as a way to cover book cloth and then transfer it onto your case in one way or another so this is totally another option
I so I cut off that one and I got it wet on on this side of it just to see cuz someone had said that when they used they got it wet with their hands like the the ink came off on their hands and I didn't get that for me and then I just glued it down just to see and that still looks like the same as part I didn't glue down so I think this is another option you will probably be um tapped by how wide your printer is in terms of if you want
where did you go okay so since my printer is only 8 and 1 half in wide I would be able to I would be able to rebind this because I believe that that would be enough of an overhang on either side um for like a book like this if I wanted to go you know use this as the like that of it however for a bigger book like a fourth Wing obviously you would have to use it like this be this be right in half and then just you know fold over the sides and I
mean it's completely possible so this is another great option okay and um I think that's all I have for now and hope this helps some okay sorry this is chaotic bye
