Life and Values Immortality and responsibility We are all immortal beings. You must have heard that we are immortal beings. All religious people admit that we are immortals, endowed with this characteristic that makes death incapable of annihilating us.
When we speak of death, it is the death of the body. never the death of the soul. The Spirit is fully immortal.
We can say that we have inherited this from the Divinity, which is eternal, this characteristic of being immortal. We are immortals, because once we appear in the Divine plan, once we appear on the cosmic screen of God’s love, nothing can delete us. We are subject to eternity, we will live forever, because God, who created us, created us to be perfect, over the millennia of evolution.
Our immortality gives us this guarantee that we will all leave our bodies through the phenomena of death, of detachment, but we will never leave life, that stance that is an apanage, that is a characteristic of spiritual beings. Never die. This expression that we use to say that someone has died is just a force of expression.
One dies when one loses the physical body. A body that, due to its worn-out condition, the injury it has suffered, the disease that has affected it, can no longer serve the immortal spirit. It is as if we had a vehicle without wheels and, because of that, we can no longer use it.
So, death is an expression that has become colloquial, it has become quite common, exactly to say that we leave the body, but in no way we leave life. When we die, something leaves the body, something detaches itself from the organic vibration. The flesh, the physical body, the soma, as the Greeks called it, has the power to dampen the powers of the soul, it has the capacity to diminish the conditions of the soul.
In this way, we think: how can we expand our vision and see what is happening on the other side of our country, or anywhere else in the world, other than here around us? We can’t. When we leave the body, we can.
Because the spiritual being has a broader vision, it projects the mind and visualizes what it wants. Jesus Christ taught us that where our treasure is, there our heart will be. As spirits out of the body, if we are anywhere and project our thoughts to another place, where we find dear creatures or situations that we value, those things will be our treasures, our treasures, and there will be our feeling, and there will be our hearts.
Heart, core, intimacy. It’s not about heart muscles. There will be our intimate, in the words of Jesus.
Well, we come out of bodies and we continue to live. If we continue to live, we continue to make contact with our loved ones. In a very well developed thesis, by the remarkable professor Rivail, that the world learned to call Allan Kardec, he discusses the thesis – Are there spirits?
And the thesis he discussed when he opened one of his books called The Mediums’ Book. And in a dialectical, very lucid way, professor Rivail discusses this question, one after another, one sedimented to the other, until reaching the conclusion that yes, there are Spirits. Well, if there are Spirits, why can’t they communicate with us when they exist?
And if they communicate with us, why can’t they bring us good things, good news, or drastic news? Why can’t they enter that deeper relationship with us? We are all immortal beings, we will continue to contact each other throughout all time and outside temporal dimensions.
We leave the body, but that doesn’t mean we leave life. We’re presenting Life and Values We’re back presenting Life and Values When we realize that we didn’t leave life, we discover a very beautiful thing for us: we will never die. If we will never die, neither will our loved ones, and those who are gone and not dead, they vibrate in another dimension.
Our mothers, our fathers, our brothers and friends have become starts. They are bright or obscure starts, vibrating for us or waiting our prayer for them. It’s very important to know that we are immortals.
This conviction that the fact that the electrocardiogram or electroencephalogram linearity occurs, it doesn’t mean that the death of the heart or brain has killed us spiritually, has destroyed us spiritually. The spiritual beings that we are will continue to earn the values that we have planted on Earth. We will continue to receive back the fruits, which we sowed one day.
It was Christ who taught us that each one will be given according to their works, and that sowing is free, however, harvesting is mandatory. So if, on the one hand, it’s a wonder four our Christian conscience, on the other hand, it’s a reason for a lot of responsibility. Since death does not essentially kill us, it only kills us relatively, because it takes away our bodies, once we arrive in this spiritual dimension and meet our loved ones, our dearest friends and all the happiness that we have amalgamated in the world, the other side is also true.
We will face the negativities that we have developed, we will reap the sour or bitter fruits that we have sown. We will have to uproot the thorny plants whose seeds we throw in other’s people’s paths one day. And along these paths, we ourselves will have to pass.
Well, if, on the one hand, it is extremely important to know that we are immortal, we can’t neglect the responsibility that this condition imposes on us. We are immortal, but we are also responsible. We don’t need to work with the concept of guilt.
Guilt weighs heavily on our conscience, on our soul, on our lives. But responsibility is inherent in every creature. And we are and will be responsible for the good things we do, as well as the bad thinks we do.
It is therefore worth living on Earth, in the relationship with our affections, our relatives, our loved ones or with the relationship with the world, in such a way that we don’t lose this awareness that, sooner or later, we will leave the body and we will continue with the positive or negative marks that we have contributed to along the land road. It’s so important that people know that they are immortal. It’s so important to know that Jesus Christ unmasked death, took away all the status that death was worthy.
Nevertheless, He assures us that, to each one will be given according to their works. And since we are not going to die definitively, all care will be little with the responsibilities of our path. Treat people well, politely, nobly, but also tell them: yes, yes, no, no.
Affirming the things that we don’t like, the things that were poorly done, are characteristics of those who want to evolve with lucidity and truth. It’s not because we are responsible for our actions that we will not have our actions, but we will try to have them very well done. Even when we have to call the attention of this or that one, even when we have to admonish in this or that circumstance, our certainty that all this will be for the good, since our Creator, that the Heavenly Father is not properly concerned with that what we do, but with why we did that, in this way or that way.
Let’s be aware that the fact that we never die, instead of allowing us to live a loose and frivolous life, imposes on us a regulated, disciplined, judicious life, so that when we leave here, we find a group of dear souls who will receive us with affection, for the rightly performed duty. And then, together we will say: Hail Christ, for the immortality that You showed us!
