If we put 100 fry, each weighing 5 g and leave them for 21 weeks, that will be about 5 months and if we do everything right, we will remove them with approximately 620 g, which is a size that is well accepted in commerce. Because the longer the fish stays in the box, the lower our profit will be, as expenses will increase. So, 100 tilapia, during a 5-month cycle, will consume a total of 82,200 kg of feed, which will be a little more than three bags.

Here in my city, a 25 kg bag of food costs R$ 100. 00, from the Pratigi brand, which is R$ 4. 00 per kg of food.

So if I multiply 82,200 kg times R$4. 00, my total expense during this entire 5-month cycle will be R$328. 00.
