I wanted to figure out a way to never have to leave my house or talk to anyone and still make money is that just me so I came up with a list of seven ways to make money in your house all you need is laptop and Wi-Fi steal my homework cuz I've actually done a bunch of these things and subscribe if you're also a secret little hermit like me starting a newsletter is the first one back in 2020 I did exactly this I wrote about I liked I slapped it into a Weekly Newsletter and I
yelled the people to subscribe why haven't you to subscribe yet I really like newsletters because they're one of the most scalable businesses out there whether you have like th000 subscribers or a million the work stays the same but the income potentially grows exponentially a single email can generate thousands or millions in Revenue making this one of the most efficient ways to turn effort into earnings starting a newsletter is a direct line into an audience no algorithms get in the way no Shadow bands no Zu and no fighting with Tik Tok over why your viral dance
only got 27 views # no dancing on the internet think about it as like the modern-day blog but better land straight in your inboxes higher conversions also like 10x more conversions on email than social media in 2020 I started with a couple subscribers 4 years later this is now a seven figure newsletter and an eight figure business every email I send now generates thousands of dollars and the whole business brings in a lot of money per month I don't want to tell you in case you're the IRS but a lot so how do you copy
my homework you pick a topic my formula goes like this three seats curiosity crowd cash curiosity means choose something you actually want to talk about it cuz you're going to have to talk about it for a long time if you can nerd out on a dinner party good sign crowd make sure people actually care about this topic no offense to your top 10 theories on why Ross was the worst character on Friends it needs to be something other people care about cash ideally people spend money on what you're talking about let's give some examples personal
finance people like to make money productivity hacks teach people how to get more done you know that's Atomic habit best selling book of all time by the way Niche Hobbies succulents for us Millennial chicks any of those work so now how do you set up your tools you don't need much to launch a newsletter go to a newsletter platform my favorite one beehive I also invested in it so I am lightly biased on it but I think it's the best by far then you get an email address you make it kind of professional you want
to make sure that it's really tight then you design it keep it stupid simple next you're going to create a Content plan now content is Queen but consistency is what you need around you so frequency you're going to decide how often you'll send newsletters I recommend weekly daily is too much monthly is not enough next you're going to launch with a small audience Rome not built in a day neither is the newsletter so start small you're going to start by thinking about it like uh somebody would announce a baby shower you're going to send it
out to all your friends and family your co-workers who ask for advice here's the actual first email that I sent out on here then you're going to post it on social in order to get followers free Word of Mouth marketing at its finest all right now how do you get paid this used to be really hard actually but now it's super easy any of these sites that I told you they have subscriptions so you can offer premium content and your users pay for it that means you have to provide real value I would probably suggest
you don't do that in the beginning you make it free I would do this sponsorships so Brands will pay you to reach your audience a bunch of these sites actually let you connect direct to Brands autoc connection and have an auto ad plac this is huge kind of new technology that didn't exist before you could do affiliate marketing but it was also hard to connect now I would do affiliate marketing because you can do it in like one or two clicks then finally when you become a pro and you actually find your Niche sell your
own courses ebooks Consulting Etc now how much money can you make Sky's a limit here guys but to give a rough and I repeat rough numbers a beginner with 1,000 engaged subscribers you could earn like 500 bucks to 1,000 bucks a month intermediate so that's like 10,000 you probably could be making two to probably $7,000 a month Babar agrees Advanced newsletters like morning Brew or mine we can rake in six to seven figures monthly fun fact if you don't believe me morning Bruce sold for 75 million and the founders were only 25 years old these
are two of my friends all I'd leave you guys with is Mark Twain kind of once said the secret of getting ahead is getting started so this is when you need to start building something maybe you like number one and this one's for you this is online language tutoring remember when du lingo gave you all that anxiety about forgetting Spanish you could save people from that the idea is that online language tutoring connects language Learners from all around the globe with tutors who can help make their language dreams come true so whether it's helping business
Pros brush up on corporate jargon or coaching kids to Ace their English tests there's kind of a niche for everybody this is a great case study on it her name is Laura sulter so she's an online English as a second language tutor she started working working for VIP kid a platform connecting tutors with students in China she doesn't speak Mandarin but she turned her spare hours into a serious side hustle 220 lessons per month that's like 2 to 3 hours a day she averaged $23 per hour monthly total 2,500 extra in her pocket every single
month from anywhere around the world I actually ended up hiring an assistant of mine from starting with a Portuguese tutor I love this because the gig covered her bills they helped her increase her savings and she got to do it for fun even when she was on vacation why can't we do the same thing so how do we get to at least 3K a month what's the blueprint first don't talk about a language you don't know let's stick with English or whatever your main language is now while not required having a tful certification can increase
your credibility and earning potential not that hard either two choose an itch don't just say I teach English be more specific this is wild like the more specific you are the more money you make conversational language perfect for travelers students and expats business language think legal terminology medical English or presentation coaches you're going to make more money test prep you do an SAT or a toe full these people are always looking for tutors specialized skills take a page out of Hanan from Brazil who teaches Aviation English to Pilots which I love and he makes like
3x what most other people make because he has this super specific way of teaching people to like fly a bigger jet now you got to select the platform I used I talkie in particular there's preply there's lingua talk there's live lingua your native teacher all of these options each of them is like an online marketplace where students are actively looking for tutors what I'd obsess Lon is the profile so I want to showcase my expertise a nice picture I want to have good language in it and then I want to set up my rates and
I'm probably going to pick slightly cheaper than everybody else but not too much because you don't want to learn at a discount and sound terrible right they typically charge somewhere between 25 and 125 per hour what's interesting is for these specialized subjects they're usually 80 and above tutoring rates for the SAT and test prep they're more like 45 to 100 per hour on average so if you're just starting out you attract a bunch of students but you want to get reviews once you've built up your reputation bump up those prices and you can also do
package deals I love like 10 lessons a week at 30 per hour that's ,00 a month and if you double your hours you're looking at a solid part-time income next up perfect if you're super into selfies and massively in need of being like as a resident social media influencer gross social media manager let's face it most of us are already spending hours glued to the phone on Tik Tok the whole Jam but what if I told you instead that mindless scrolling could be turned into a lot of cash you guys probably realize this but maybe
you don't realize how much or how to do it yourself you're going to execute a brand or individual social media strategy we literally do not know enough people that know how to do this even at our company you're going to do what you do already on your Instagram which is analyze performance build online communities look at metrics and post you're kind of like the Puppet Master pulling the strings behind viral videos creating memes and looking at a bunch of accounts that you look at anyway what they don't tell you is that social media isn't just
funny cat videos and thirst trap Thursdays it's a multi billion dooll industry where creators Brands and businesses are constantly growing and they need people like you to do the growing for them growing small creators this probably makes you the least money you're helping them craft captions Trends content calendars we've had multiple people do this they make a couple thousand doar a month the second Is MeMe Hunters I love this people actually get paid money to find viral memes so if you're already doing this in the group chat congrats you're qualified Derek one of my social
media hires back in the day was perfect he was a self-described Tik Tok addict but here's what he did differently he didn't just consume content he studied it so he was like which Trends are working what videos blew up and he turned this into a skill and he pitched himself to me and became part of my team his main role was Tik Tok just finding viral trends that we should do and creating content strategy ideas most creators don't realize they need help until they're drowning so when their following starts blowing up and the DMS get
overwhelming that's where they start begging for social media managers I can pretty much guarantee if you look online you'll see a ton of them now how do you find work most of these roles are posted right under your nose like just go to the Creator's website or check their Instagram stories that's where a lot of it is located if you come to contrarian thinking.com careers you'll see what we're hiring for I would also Search terms on Twitter or X like social media manager hire when you go to apply make it personal go a little bit
further than you want maybe create a video create a little one pager give them some ideas spoiler you can use the same one pager for everybody just sub out the people that are inside of them see in this video my friend Chris Williamson you could see what another person did when they tried to slide into my DMs and I eventually hired them to become a writer this is super common and everywhere I believe in you guys here's a couple tools that are cool this is social blade it tracks creators and accounts seeing which ones grow
faster so you can see which ones could potentially have enough money to hire you ask them for the ability to tell the people that you work with them overd deliver do an amazing job and then see if you can put their name on your website they might not always let you but if they do word of mouth will get moving like crazy listen the average social media manager makes $59,000 a year but the outliers you guys they make1 hundreds of thousands of dollars a year the average hourly rate that you're going to start with is
about 30 bucks an hour again from your room for something that you're already doing and then as you become more skillful you make more money why I love this bad boy it's in demand everybody needs this the next time that you are on your phone you can just tell people I'm doing research here's the thing we don't want to chase it too much right cuz the goal is freedom freedom from stress from debt from limitations I think that's what the rich understand they focus on building assets that can generate income while they sleep and you
know what real estate is one of the other best ways to do that that's where I think the fundrise flagship fund can help you out it's a platform designed for people who want to create true freedom without needing to own a rental property on their own or deal with a tenants you can add a few hundred in there in a few minutes and by doing so invest your money into a fund consisting of private real estate projects it gives you access to income streams without the headaches it's not about chasing happiness it's about building a
foundation for Freedom so the flagship fund is a great opportunity to start building the foundation Brick by Brick ooh wait till you see this next one this one's perfect for any anyone who's ever been told wow you've got a voice for radio this is voiceover artist which maybe sounds wild but I think now is actually the time to cash in on it without ever leaving your house and I should know because I just used one for a book so what does it mean it means you use your vocal talents for commercials audiobooks animations Video Games
Etc you don't need to be the next Morgan Freeman just a little practice a quiet corner and some tools check out this case study Carrie Olson went from working in a as she would describe it Soul crushing corporate job to making 450 bucks for her very first 2minute recording has 2 minutes within 4 months she had secured enough voiceover work to quit her 9 to-5 job completely fast forward she's making $10,000 a month from her Cozy home studio let that sink in for a second a few hours a day turn into a six-figure income stream
what's the blueprint the good news it's pretty accessible you don't need a degree in drama but you do need to know how to deliver scripts clearly and convincingly there's tons of YouTube videos on this you can take some online classes like skillshare and udemy have these beginner courses and then practice makes paychecks you just start by reading outloud everyday books add food labels pay attention to tone pacing articulation if you sound like Siri probably not going to work two set up a home studio the right tools like a good quality USB mic Blue Yeti road
nt1 then you're going to need over-the-ear headphones to help you catch small mistakes while editing software free tools like audacity or paid options like Adobe Audition would help you edit them quickly closet is where I recorded a bunch of my first videos whatever it takes to kill Echoes and noise build up a little portfolio they call it a demo reel as your business business card one to two minutes showcasing range commercials audio books character voices don't stress about big gigs at first create your own mockup scripts or volunteer for small projects and then you join
the platforms that pay you to talk voices.com great for beginners the site connects voiceover artists with global clients for ads animations audiobooks bunny Studio great starting point lots of different projects and voice Crafters more long-term projects then traditional marketing put it on social show your viral Impressions and then if it was me I'd just be cold deep ding just about anybody that I could think of for personalized demos for like explainer videos for instance now how much earnings could we make on this this is going to vary wildly I think this is a nice little
$50,000 a year annual side salary and then for the top 10% we're talking about six figures and above I love that there's basically no startup costs mic little quiet space plus you could use that for 47 other things if you learn how to do the skill set it's really just about convincing people of things so you're kind of learning sales and communication at the same time all right let's do it oh buddy this one's perfect for that tea dispenser friend of yours that always has the tea this is mystery shopper this is kind of fascinating
but a bunch of companies do it including ours we pay people to go see if our website is glitchy so you act like a regular customer kind of checking everything out on the website and you get paid to basically around and find out you do this a lot in SAS startups and if you want to turn that like inner Karen into a fullon career this is it companies pay for this feedback because first Impressions matter and also a lot of times they're losing sales and they can't figure out why so they need some random person
to tell them Natalie cot's success story is pretty incredible 38-year-old mom from England who turned online mystery shopping into a side hustle that made her a bunch of money so she was working at a part-time Communications job and she reviews websites so how much money do she make a couple dollars to a couple hundred per task okay what's the blueprint to steal her homework and get paid for Bay and Karen we want to look up mystery shopping companies there's lots of these Market Force they do it for retail stores restaurants online businesses there's also another
one I checked out called serve first this works more specifically on flexible assignments that you can complete in your own time mystery shoppers limited offers a bunch of assignments including online evaluations and kind of a straightforward registration process we've used this one before and there's a ton more major tip red flag avoid any company that asks you to pay upfront fees legitimate platforms are never going to charge you to sign up then it's super simple create a profile do a bunch of platforms to increase the number of giig start accepting assignments and then once you
receive opportunities start asking for reviews on them So eventually if some of the clients like you you can go direct to them and skip the entire Marketplace in general you know what's also interesting is many Shoppers earn an extra 200 to 500 a month just from completing a few of these assignments and then if you like this you can do what's called QA quality assurance and these roles in tech make a ton of money in fact we're hiring one of them right now at bisou so if you like this job and you don't need the
fancy degrees but you kind of have an eye for detail and things that piss you off you might like this and these QA people they make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year maybe you won't start there but at least you're going to have a little bit lighter of a grocery bill to start all right this one is perfect for those who want to give advice for a living this is starting a digital agency you start small but with the right clients and systems you grow them into a Powerhouse business that scales far beyond your
bedroom I should know I've started a bunch of these and I've invested in a bunch so whether you're managing a handful of clients Solo or running a 50% team from your laptop this is actually one of those that can be a big big business now what is it it means you're launching specialized services like a digital marketing or SEO Consulting business that needs help growing online case study is perfect here Kevin Miller founder of grz is a great example SEO agency literally started in his bedroom in April 2020 how he grew it from a small
startup to a multi-million dollar business well he hit1 18 million annual revenue this year they helped over 150 clients rank on Google now he has like 75 80 full-time employees and it's kind of this example because it's all remote that with grit some caffeine probably and a little knowhow you can grow a big business even from your bedroom so how do you get started the build framework gives you a step-by-step road map to turn your skills into a business here's how it works B break down your Niche every agency needs a thing what's yours you're
going to assess your skills a little bit lean into what you're great at so maybe that's SEO maybe that's social media then you're going to find a market demand where do people want what you have and that's going to allow you to figure out your competitive advantage the U stands for Unleash Your brand so this is where you get your house in order you going to have your legal structure but more importantly you want to Brand yourself as the agency 4X the more specialized you can get the more money that you make I stands for
initiate portfolio projects you're going to start small help A friend's Etsy Shop let's say a cousin's taco truck you're going to prove your value then you're going to Showcase those results with a bunch of metrics look how much we doubled their sales how much traffic we got and you're going to put that all over LinkedIn L is land clients like a pro so clients are not going to come to you when you build it I love LinkedIn for this by the way we find a ton of agencies on there and you're going to slide into
people's DMS and you're also going to post your wins all over social and then lastly deliver and dominate so you start with a small team of Freelancers that you find on upwork and 99 designs and then you expand your services and as often as you can figuring out where can I put a process instead of a person there's kind of three ways to make money in this the first is Project based so hey for this we charge $2,000 to redo your website but I actually prefer retainers which is I get monthly income for ongoing Services
the second way is performance-based so hey if we deliver increased sales we make this much of those sales that's where you can make a ton of money long term it's like skin in the game the third is subscription models so you have a Netflix subscription every single month can I have a subscription to your design business every single month you're going to make as a beginner probably somewhere around ,000 to $5,000 per month that's where Kevin started then as you add your second and third person 10,000 to 30,000 Advanced $50,000 a month plus that's with
quite a few people on your your team your earnings grow as your team and reputation do in your specific industry why I love this bad boy low overhead again you don't need much scalability because you can expand into new markets and your employees can be vendors for a long time so I love a business where you don't have to have fulltime employees cuz the best part about your business people the worst part people okay you guys do I have a treat for you for this last one think of this as being an extra on law
order except you don't have to leave your couch and you actually get paid to do it I'm talking about virtual jurors I can't believe this is a thing so basically what happens is a personal injury lawyer will want to know their chances of winning a case that is taken to court so they need some way to practice it if you've always wanted to yell guilty while staring at the screen and watching True Crime I have no idea who' be into something like that this is how you do it and you might think that this sounds
too Niche to matter but apparently the cost of a lawyer winning or losing a case obviously huge and so allowing them to refine their arguments and improve their chances of winning in court is super valuable these virtual courtrooms are booming with the rise of remote trials lawyers are requiring a lot more individuals to have swings at B what's fascinating here is like how much money could you make to do this platforms like online verdict pay $ 20 to $60 per case longer sessions through first Court can add up to 150 to 350 bucks the big
leagues can pay up to 1,000 bucks on like jury talk so while I'm not saying this is going to replace your job it might buy you Taylor Swift tickets like in the nose bleeds or something the trick is sign up for multiple passwords and maybe you make some money on the side by judging people guilty or not so with that me you a computer that's all we need to make some money baby don't listen to the haters two types of people those who are doing and those who are talking which are you going to try
drop a comment and let me know which one Mama's Got You Mama's gotcha
