WATER AND SALT CONDUCTING ELECTRICITY for this experiment you're gonna need: a light bulb a plug because we're gonna use the electricity that comes from the outlet a light socket a cup of distilled water (pure water) and salt BUILDING THE CIRCUIT the circuit is very simple First: screw the light bulb into the socket and make sure the bulb is firm then connect one of the wires from the plug to one from the socket. use insulation/electrical tape to keep them connected leave the other two wires free. We gonna need them later plug your "circuit" to an outlet to certify it is working carefully, using your hands, make the remainig wires touch each other if the light comes on, it means your circuit is working.
unplug the circuit take the cup of distilled water plug again your circuit to the outlet. Do that in order to use the electricity from the outlet with the circuit plugged, take the two remaining wires and put them in the water without touching each other this won't turn the light on because the ions present in the distilled water are not enough to carry electricity. now add salt to the water and repeat what you did before to see if salted water is or not a conductor.
