so I was going to use this uh these few minutes to uh get some self-help how do we do how do I do it what should I do uh this is where it usually starts a flash of inspiration to get bigger leaner and stronger but celebrity and athlete methods seem questionable chicken breast broccoli and occasionally some brown rice or something like that the speed of their Transformations suggest other methods yeah I almost died and then like came back and I have a healthy respect now for for sauce so you search social media for another solution
[Music] pizza or Salad welcome to the fitness industry this is now the content that you're going to be presented body I have today wasn't just given to me I wasn't born this way and some of their methods to get in such shape is probably best you don't ask I don't even want to hear anything you put to say you don't provide any good content to the industry yeah some very very natural okay okay that's a extremely intriguing answer are you optimizing in your hormones are you trying to get views he's trying to get views ultimately
you're left with mild confusion on one major question I've been working out since I was 7 or 8 years old believe in yourselves natural body building is real I'm doing it when you're natural you need to take advantage of every little thing that you can everyone in great shape Works incredibly hard what's naturally achievable with dedication and effective Pro programming is truly impressive but often there's another factor that separates those at the top genetics this is Tristan Le 15 Jeff side at 15 and the Titan himself at 14 years old humans are not equal sorry
genetics don't merely play a role in the muscle building process they actually play a pretty critical pretty important role probably more of a role than most Fitness coaches would ultimately want to admit they influence everything from how much muscle you can gain to your bone structure how strong you are and ultimately how you look whether your abs look like this or this whether your clavicles are narrow or wide and how easily you gain muscle in a world of over 8 billion people it's no surprise that those at the top of the fitness industry are likely
genetic outliers yet strangely often someone who seems to have worse genetics than you trains less with a party lifestyle yet their progress suddenly explodes they claim natural but surely something else is going on social media platforms compete for one thing attention so social media is free because you pay for it with your time their profit is directly linked to how long they can get you to scroll you have social statisticians and scientists and researchers and people in lab codes literally best minds of Our Generation figuring out how to addict you to the news and if
you fall for it if you get addicted your brain will get destroyed but there's a problem Fitness is relatively boring so one of the best things to keep you scrolling anything extreme Primal I'm going to attempt eat my body weighing testicles today nobody cares about the person deadlifting 200 kg but a 17-year-old deadlifting 300 kg that's remarkable no one cares about a personal trainer level physique but a guy who looks one paper cut away from Death now that's sharable nobody cares about the runner who eats a balanced diet but the man who Chomps pickled pizzle
looks like this and claims natur to keep us hooked normality is suppressed extreme is rewarded and it works if we were to look at ourselves through the lens of an experiment like we would an animal experiment we think that animal is sick jym shark leverage this to rapidly grow to a billion dollar company it's also why it feels like every other teenager is bench pressing 405 after a few years of training even though it decapitate 99% of people this has more to do with human nature as opposed to evil social media overlords I would never
have been interested in gym shark if this is what their models look like having ambition is good but there's massive money in being the biggest leanest or strongest because of this some are willing to take a few risks to get there if I to be crucified on the internet for telling the truth and that is my fate then I accept my faith a fake natural is someone who claims they're natural while secretly taking peeds yeah just over 3 years a go now I took a arm this way they can usually make more money promoting natural
supplements and people don't tend to like that if you actively say you are not taking drugs and you are you're a scumbag given the financial incentives would be naive to assume this doesn't go on it's why around 2012 the natural or not Trend emerged and as since gained so much popularity notice he's lifting up the shirt above the ABS but covering one of the nips why is that why would he do that sometimes this goes beyond just speculation many influencers have opened up about their usage with many more suspected I've been following this guy I've
known about this guy ever since I was 16 years old the fact that he claims natural honestly makes me question his sanity and the kind of person he is I am not going to even go into this guy cuz I used to work in a gym where him and a select group of people that I'm not going to speak about actually came to the gym to ask for we speed and Deb down influencers also used Photoshop and more recently video shop to look better than life usually it's indistinguishable to fans which is why your favorite
influencers least favorite influencer has been welcome to the ecosystem how many more of these influencers are going to get taken out by a goddamn doorf frame goo makes videos exposing the Photoshop and lies from leading Fitness influencers why is that Locker crooked why is this sticker so crooked did you not think think anybody was going to notice these big honk and calves that you cooked on yourself it's crazy to see because most of these people look great before the editing but I guess this is how competitive it's become of course a few people have also
been called out for using fake weights but it'd be sad to assume that everyone bigger and stronger than you is just cheating it almost discredits what's possible with effective training all you need to know is that there's a lot of pressure to stand out and some resort to tricks to look bigger leaner and stronger much like the next Factor it's a systemic problem which you should probably be aware of one of the issues with social media people look like they have a much better life then they really do not only are we following the top
.1% of people but we're often only seeing the 1% of their lives as a guy from the hu Lads once said by Design social media rewards us for showing our best life but you don't ever see real life the 99% of our Lives the behind the scenes the unglamorous unfiltered day-to-day Bland normalities and you end up comparing your behind the scenes to other people's fake highlight re it's not the repetitive but effective training and diet footage with shown but the pr attempts and people posing in optimal conditions if you look at everyone on Instagram you
might think man they're all these happy beautiful people and I'm not that goodl looking and I'm not happy so I'm a suck when in fact those people you think are super happy actually not that happy some of the happiest seeming people actually some of the saddest people in reality and and and nobody looks good all the time doesn't matter who you are a lot goes on behind the scenes which doesn't get shown industry is the only place that you get rewarded for having a drug problem and an eating disorder you combine the two you get
a pro card social media distorts what it actually takes to get an influencer level shape you can't have sharp sharp sharp abs and cross rtion and separation all year long if you try to do that you'll never gain muscle gaining Elite strength may take longer than social media suggests an effective training doesn't always look exciting most of the problems in the fitness industry are caused by people with sixpacks confusing causation with correlation the influencer doesn't promote the test booster 3,000 because it's responsible for them looking good they sell the pills because they look good the
same could be said about the gabs in a week videos and you're probably not going to look like micahn if you slurp his $700 duck eggs round itis is a term to describe a lack of focus consistency and dedication in your approach to Fitness characterized by a halfhazard or careless attitude towards fitness goals where you engage in random unfocused workouts hacks and diets without a clear plan or [Music] purpose so is that it don't compete because it's too dangerous just worship influencers and put them on a pedestal only try if you're 100% certain your genetics
are Elite and if not you should aspire to be [Music] average fortunately there's another way human beings need to hear this they need to stop hearing these hacks on this and that there's noing hack bro there's noing hack the magic you are looking for is in the work you're avoiding don't focus on your opponent why you have to focus on him just focus on yourself you cannot be a victim to your genetics your genetics must be a victim to you it's you against you you against you and if you misunderstand that you have a real
problem even if you have genetics in the bottom 10% you can probably still get a Physique in the top 10% if you had as much respect for yourself as those at the top you'd be a lot further ahead you see there's people with greater hurdles making more more progress and people further behind than you with a better self-image what's naturally possible has never been greater in order to train as hard as possible you must retain a clear image of your purpose once your goal is sharply but realistically defined All That Remains is carrying out your
[Music] PL don't however worry about your individual potential potential was only the expression of a possibility something that can be assessed accurately only in retrospect in other words you'll never know how good you might have become unless you try if you want access to hundreds of mostly free science-based workout programs I recommend you check out boost Camp it's probably my favorite app at the moment backed by some of my favorite people in the industry and you can use the code Brett for a special bonus and to let them know I send you I wish you
the best of luck and I'll see you in the next video
