God, Make Room in My Heart for Your Holy Spirit | Morning Prayer

before we pray let's listen to God's word and then we'll pray together 2 Timothy 3: 1 to 5 it says but understand this that in the last days there will be difficult times people will love only themselves and money they will be proud arrogant abusive disobedient to their parents ungrateful Unholy heartless unforgiving slanderous lacking self-control brutal without love for what is good treacherous Reckless swollen with pride more in love with pleasure than with God they will act religious but they will reject the true power that could make them Godly stay away from people like that

today I want to lovingly remind you of some of these pitfalls and encourage you to let go of the things that draw you away from God from this list a few things stand out first people will become lovers of self and money this means that they will place their own desires and material wealth above their love for the Lord next people will be ungrateful despite all of God's mercy goodness and protection there will be a lack of thankfulness lastly people will have an appearance of godliness an outward form of Faith but without the true power

that comes from having the holy Spirit living within them and transforming their hearts I encourage you to come to know Jesus personally don't just rely on what others tell you about him or on your own limited understanding instead dive into the word of God with an open heart seek him with all your heart and invite the holy spirit to guide you into the truth the Bible tells us in John 14: 15-17 if you love me you will keep my Commandments and I will ask the father and he will give you another helper who will be

with you forever the spirit of Truth whom the world cannot accept because it neither sees him nor knows him but you know him for he dwells with you and will be in you this helper is the Holy Spirit who wants to fill your heart and life with his love and wisdom when you experience God's love in its fullness you will no longer love only yourself or money because a genuine encounter with God changes everything his love is filled with grace forgiveness and compassion he is a God who protects a God who provides and a God

who pours out Mercy on all who turn to him how can we be anything but thankful for a love like that how could we ever be ungrateful to such a faithful and loving God lastly I encourage you to open your heart and life to the Holy Spirit make room for for him in every part of who you are he will begin a beautiful renewal and transformation in you starting deep within your heart this is the only way to move beyond the outward appearance of godliness and truly live out a life of genuine Faith invite the

holy spirit in and he will Empower you to practice true godliness and to live in a way that reflects the heart of God now let's pray together dear father you are the king of my heart and the savior of my soul there is no one like you Lord and my heart is filled with gratitude as I think of your love which is beyond anything I can comprehend Lord Jesus I Lift Your Name In Praise not just for the great things you have done but for who you are you are my rock my refuge and the

one who knows me fully and loves me completely how can I ever repay such love your love is not just a feeling but an action a sacrifice beyond what words can express you gave everything for me offering up your life in exchange for mine how amazing is your love oh God that you would give your only begotten son that I though unworthy might live and not perish I did nothing to earn this gift I have no merit of my own yet out of the Overflow of your grace you gave freely so that I might experience

eternal life this kind of love humbles me Lord and I stand in awe of you knowing that your love is constant unchanging and available to me every day Lord Jesus I pray that my heart would never be consumed by selfish desires or by the Love of Money the world teaches us to put ourselves first to chase after material things but I know that true joy and peace come from putting you at the center of my life life help me Lord to keep my eyes fixed on you to always make you the main Love Of My

Heart let nothing else compete with the love I have for you because I know that nothing else can truly satisfy money success recognition these things may bring temporary pleasure but they can never fill the Deep longing of my soul only you can so I ask Lord that you would fill me with the Holy Spirit that he would guide my heart and mind let his presence be so strong within me that I would never deceive myself or anyone else by putting on a mask of godliness while denying your true power I don't want to just appear

spiritual I want to be radically transformed by your spirit Change Me From the Inside Out Lord shape my thoughts my desires and my actions so that they align with your will and so that my life reflects the power of your grace at work within me I humbly ask Lord Jesus that you would search the depths of my heart you know me better than I know myself you see not only what I do but also why I do it you understand my motives my intentions and the hidden places of my heart where no one else can

see I invite you Lord to examine me thoroughly reveal to me anything that is not of you anything that hinders my relationship with you if there are ungodly traits or habit abits in my life things that I have held on to for too long please remove them Purify Me Lord make me more like you I know that nothing is hidden from your sight you see what is done in the light and what is done in the darkness even when I try to hide my shame or my mistakes you already know them and yet despite knowing

all my flaws and failures you still choose to love me this kind of Love is overwhelming and I am so grateful for it you offer me grace and mercy even when I least deserve it you know my darkest Secrets but you don't turn away from me instead you extend your hand of forgiveness and love for that Lord I am forever thankful Holy Spirit I pray that you would help me to never lose sight of God's unfailing love there are times when life gets difficult when challenges come and it's easy to forget just how deeply I

am loved but I ask that you would remind me Holy Spirit of God's constant and unwavering love for me let me never become ungrateful for all that God has done even in the hardest moments of my life I can look back and see that God has always been faithful he has never abandoned me and he has never failed me thank you Lord Jesus for your faithfulness it is in the difficult moments the trials and the storms of life that I see most clearly just how good you are you are my refuge and my strength you

are my comfort when I am hurting and you are my hope when everything seems lost to you alone belongs all the glory and all the praise in your presence I find the peace and safety that my soul Longs for I am thankful Lord that I can call upon your name the name above all names the name of Jesus Christ and find refuge in you Lord I ask that you walk with me every day of my life I need you Lord not just in the big moments but in the ordinary everyday moments as well be my

constant companion my faithful friend the one I can turn to no matter what I am going through surround my home with your presence Lord let your peace fill every room and may your spirit dwell with me and my loved ones throughout the day and through the night I ask that your protection would cover me Lord that you would keep me safe from harm both seen and unseen my trust is in you alone because time and time again you have proven yourself to be a God who is faithful and dependable you are the one I can

rely on in every situation you never fail and for that I give you all the praise I pray for a deep and holy peace to overflow in my spirit Lord there is so much in this world that can bring worry and fear but I ask that your peace would guard my heart and mind I pray that the Holy Spirit would help me to know you more intimately I don't want just head knowledge Lord I want a heart that is deeply connected to you help me to know your word more deeply to cling to your promises

and to seek your will for my life above all else let your spirit guide me so that I may put Jesus first in every area of my life whether it's in my relationships my work or my daily decisions help me to seek you above all else give me the grace to live one day at a time to trust in your provision and to rejoice in each new day as a gift from you help me to focus on what is right and pure to seek righteousness and Holiness in all that I do Lord Jes Jesus I

place my trust in you completely I'm devoted to you and I commit my life to following you with all that I am draw near to me father as I draw near to you I long to be close to you to know you more deeply and to experience the fullness of your love and grace in my life you are worthy of all my praise and I will exalt your name for all of my days let my life be a testimony of your goodness and mercy all glory and honor belong to you now and forever in Jesus's
